Eh, this was an ok read. The writing was kind of mediocre. There was so much ping-pong conversation and not much exposition in the story. The MCs weren't too bad but we didn't get much of what their feelings were for the other. We knew they liked banging and it was some good banging. We knew that River planned to take care of Nicole and the baby but we never really got an internal build up of them falling in love.
Some of my other problems with the book. The dad was a complete and utter childish asshole after he found out about Nicole's pregnancy. I mean, my goodness, he acted like a complete child and a bully. We never see him apologize to River for treating him like absolute shit and basically almost putting him in the hospital by forcing him to run for 8 hours straight, lift for 8 hours straight, throw passes for 8 hours straight and then putting him in at the football game when he could barely move.
Also, when Nicole is telling her father about the baby she basically tells him that the father is out of the picture and I wanted to punch the twat. Like what the hell? River told her from the get-go he wanted to be part of this, that he would take care of her.
Most of the author's focus was on writing smoking hot love scenes, which they definitely were but I'd like to see her put more of that focus into expanding on the other aspects of the story. Show more of what the H and h are feeling for each other.
Will I read another one of these "Baby Daddy" stories? Maybe. I like the pregnancy trope but it felt a little flat in this book. We don't see where Nicole finds out about the pregnancy. We find out when she tells River. We don't get any of her anxiety or fear or how she was feeling when she found out. I just wanted a bit more.

This book is why I read BB. She brings two people that would never be together any other time and puts them in a situation that makes them change their ways. Nicole and River are not characters that I would typically think of as a couple or getting along. Especially with River's history with women and fun. But a good woman will change a man, and that is precisely what happens when he meets Nicole. On the other hand, Nicole has done everything in her life to stay away from NFL players and to please her father. The one time she does something for herself, her life changes forever.
Player Baby Daddy is a steamy, sweet, and love story that I highly enjoyed.

River and Nicole
So if you have gotten this far in the six book 'My Baby Daddy' series, you know and have accepted that B B Hamel likes certain annoying phrases. If you want to play a drinking game to get hammered here are a few that stand out to me (in order of most annoying) :
#1 Referring to the lead female character as "girl" in every intimate scene. (In every single book in this series. Grrrrrrrr!)
#2 Phrases starting with "nice and" (soft, hard, deep, etc.).
#3 The phrase "every inch."
#4 The phrase "drives me wild."
If you can get past those words and phrases this book is probably the best out of the 6.

Bad this was bad, I feel like the characters don’t really have any character development, everything is so rushed and yes I know the book is not even 200 pages long but most of the book the were just having sex, there was for sure enough pages for the book to have an actual plot other than them fucking around. The dad I don’t know what to think about him, too childish in my opinion. River and Nicole’s relationship wasn’t even worth the read… just plain disappointment 🫠
Overall I don’t really recommend reading this if you want to actually read something that has good plot, but if you want to read sex scenes I recommend this book

River hot out of control football QB. He doesn’t stick with any team because his behavior gets him in trouble. Traded again he lands in expansion city with a bunch of misfit football players playing for a no nonsense coach. The snarly crack has a beautiful daughter, Nicole, who has grown up on football fields with her father. River is immediately drawn to Nicole, who he should be avoiding at all costs. If he wants to start living “right” he should not be pursuing the coach’s daughter. That’s where things go off the rails. Great read!

She finally decides to tell her father and he doesn't take it well and he makes River's life he'll but River takes like man and doesn't give up on Nicole or the baby.Nicole gives her job.in the long wrung, everything turns out ok,they get married,have the baby and they are happy family in the long haul.

Hot head coach vs bad boy super player
Getting the coach's daughter is not the way to prove you want to get your life in order but is was exactly what River needed. It motivated him to change his bad boy ways be more responsible. The chemistry between him and Nicole could not be denied. The drama, passion and steam kept the story interesting from start to finish. The forbidden is always a tantalising challenge.

Deep Breaths,It will all work out...
Emotional roller coaster. One minute I am okay and the next I am ready to scream or cry. So many weird feelings, but in a good way. River and Nicole's relationship can surely put one through the ringer and her dad....OMG! Definitely had me counting to ten several times and meditating.

I read this entire series and enjoyed them all thoroughly. They are all a read of between 2-3 hours. The framework of the stories are good, the sex scenes are great.

Excellent novel, with very good characters, very well written and with great descriptions from the feelings of all the characters and the relations between them.
River is an NFL player who has a bad reputation and has just moved to a new team that only includes players like him. He questions himself and takes a new direction, but he is immediately attracted by Nicole, the daughter, coach and assistant of her father. surrending very quickly to this forbidden relationship, she's pregnant, but Nicole does not want this relationship for her lack of confidence toward River, not to oppose to her father and to protect their careers. But River wants only one thing, Nicole and their child.
In this high-level sport atmosphere where everyone has to pay a price to keep his place, with a relationship that would only bring problems, River and Nicole, are struggling to know what they want and how to protect themselves.

River King has been in the NFL for 10 seasons and has 2 Superbowl rings with 2 different teams and has played Quarterback for 3 other teams and is now with the newly franchised team of The Wichita Thunder from Whiticha Kansas,,,, this new franchise is made up of the freaks and the castoffs and the guys who couldn't hack it with any other team ,,, the new coach's name is Nixon Davis ,,, he has one rule ,,,, OBEY ME - UNDERSTOOD ,,,, River came here to start over, this is his 6th team in 10 years ,,,, but he thinks he just might be in trouble already ,,,,, the coach's daughter is a looker ,,,,

Nicole Davis lives and breathes football and his her father's assistant. Nicole's had one rule; no dating his players. Nicole and River are attracted to each other and give into their attraction one night in the sauna. Nicole tries to keep things professional with River after their night of passion. River knows Nicole wants him as much as he wants her and use their chemistry to remind her how good it can be between them. How will River react when Nicole tells him she is pregnant? Will Nicole push River away? Will Nicole trust River to be there for her and their child? Can River prove to Nicole that she and their child are his priority? This a 2nd chance story for River who has been a star QB for several years on many different teams never being able to keep a good profile off the field. He believes this is his last chance so he cleans up his act and is all about making good decisions, until he sees the woman standing next to the new head coach. River can not get over how beautiful she is and once he finds out Nicole is the coach’s daughter he knows he should stay away. Nicole has grown up around football her entire life and is an assistant to her dad. One night after practice Nicole goes to use the sauna and is surprised to find River in there and boy do they get to know one another. Nicole tries to keep if professional after that but several weeks later she finds out she is pregnant and goes to tell River. I love how supportive River is from the start but Nicole is not sure how to handle it with River’s past. Once Nicole tells her dad all beats are off and he puts River through a week of undeniable pain and torture. Nicole and her dad have a falling out and things are not good. Once these adults figure out how to act like grown ups do they slowly figure out how to move forward. I loved Nicole and River together and it was nice to see Coach have someone special in his life, a beautiful little granddaughter. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

River is a bad boy and this is the newest team he has been traded to because of his reputation. Nicole is the coach's daughter and she works along side him with the team. She's drawn to River and knows that she shouldn't especially since her father hates him. One night they run into each other in the sauna and have an amazing time together. Nicole goes back to avoiding him but River wants something more with her. He tries to show her that he is different by staying out of trouble and behaving himself. However when he learns that she pregnant with his baby there's no way he isn't going to be there for them. What will her father say and do about them being together? Can they work out a way to be together?
This is an amazing story that will draw you in from the first page. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

River’s journey is about his 2nd chance to redeem himself as a star quarter back and grow up and make good choices and hopefully get to stay on one team more than a season or two. He starts making good choices and not go out with his teammates to club so he can stay out of trouble. However, the most beautiful woman he sees is Nicole. He learns she’s the head coach’s daughter. She is totally off limits. River can’t help but be intrigued by Nicole. He knows he must have her one way or another. Nicole gives in and didn’t realize what a mistake it is to fall for River. He is a player. Will River prove to Nicole that he is a stand-up guy who will take care of her no matter what? Will Nicole be able to trust River and they stay together as family. Nicole has always seen that football is apart of her life and her father's football players are just of her job with her father that is until river shows up ,and she at wits what to choose the job or the hot new QB . Nicole and rivers story will have wondering can the bad boy with the bad rep really true a new leave and so the coach's daughter a side of that. Nicole has always had a problem with trusting people expertly football player ,but has there come one that can make her change not only her mind ,but heart time will only tell. I received this book as a arc for a honest review and I can say that it has a lot of hot side,but also you will get the feel of the characters and wonder their story has have a happy ending for all.

Perfect for football season! River is the quintessential bad boy quarterback who can't seem to stay with one team very long. He is determined to change his life and make this the last team is plays for. She figures one smoking hot night will get him out of her system, but no such luck - especially when she finds out she is pregnant! I loved the drama, the passion and the story...just so good!

This is a well-written sports romance, I really liked River as a hero, Nicole was ok, a bit whiney but got better towards the ending. River changes football teams again and this time he's wanting to stick around(he decides to act his age😉) and is immediately attracted to his coach's daughter Nicole. All her life she's been told to stay away from the players but River gets under her skin and soon they have a surprise bundle on the way. Unfortunately her father is a real @ss towards River. But River sticks to his guns and is determined to win the game and his love at all costs.

Good story
I only had a couple issues, first, her dad is too much of a giant dildo for me to like, honestly even in the end I still hated him. And second, I had a really hard time understanding how they could portray the h as strong and independent when she was so immature, playing little games with the H for the better part of the book. I loved the growth the H made throughout the story, he was lovable, and strong and caring. I'm glad I got my HEA, just needed more when it came to h and her dad. Like honestly he basically just stayed an asshole and everyone just accepts it? Overall, engaging, had some good steam and a nice, if not predictable HEA!
