I am really enjoying Hope Ford’s short books, even though they are short you never feel short changed by the books at all, each have a great engaging storyline and are perfect for me to read in my lunch hour.
Abby is the younger sister of Jackson and Ford, and working for her family’s construction company is all she has ever wanted to do but feels like she is judged for what she has chosen for a career. After breaking up with her boyfriend on the night of her family’s annual Halloween party she is shocked when she meets her new neighbour and he insists on accompanying her. The connection she feels to Brett is immediate and the chemistry is something she has never felt before but when she finds out who he really is could they really have a future together?
Brett is a successful hotelier and business man he’s recently moved to Knox and is working on a new hotel in the area when he rents a short term let next to Abby, from first sight he knows that he has found the woman that was made to be his and he so not going to let her out of his sight, within minutes he is demanding he take her to a Halloween party and when they dance together he knows that he is never going to let her go. But can he convince Abby to give them a chance or will she try and push him away?
Abby is a sweetheart that is hung up on how she thinks people see her as a construction worker and Brett is not going to let social differences stand between them, he sees Abby and wants her it’s as simple as that. Loved how their roles were reversed in this story and can’t wait to read more about the Tate Family.

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Brent meets Abby when he overhears her boyfriend Derrick telling her he needs a place to stay and she tells him he can't stay with her and then breaks up with him. Brent is moving in across the hall from Abby. Abby's ex-boyfriend leaves but tells her he'll see her at her mom's Halloween Party. Brent asks her what party she is going to and she tells him. Brent tells her he doesn't like her going to the party alone. Abby tells him she has to go, then he tells her to take him with her. Abby asks Brent if he has a halloween costume and they go across the hall to his apartment. After Brent gets ready they head off to the party, Abby asks him why he's in town. He tells her for work, then he asks her about her family. Abby introduces Brent to her family, then Abby catches her brother Jackson and best friend Megan on the dance floor kissing. Brent ask Abby to dance with him but she tells him she doesn't dance, he tells her he wasn't asking. They dance until the get to the back corner out of everyone sight, but he tells her they need to get off the dance floor before he takes her. He doesn't want an audience watching them. Abby's ex-boyfriend, Derrick comes and asks her to dance but Brent tells him no. Abby tells Brent she needs to talk to Derrick since their families are friends. Derrick tells about he wants her back but she tells him they aren't good together. Abby tells Brent that he can't tell her what to do, then he asks her if she's ready to go. He walks her to her door and tells him goodnight, then he sees a flash of hurt on her face. Abby closes her door, so he knocks until she answers. He tells her he knows he was a prick, but that's how he is. Brent tells her he can't stand watching other men hug her, he was trying to control himself. Abby asks him what if she doesn't want him to control himself, he tells her she doesn't know what she asking. They begin kissing and Brent picks Abby up but she tells him she's to big to be carried. Abby pleasures him after he sets her on her feet. Brent pleasures her then they make love. After they dress Abby asks him if he leaving and he tells her no, he was going to make her something to eat, then they'll be doing that again. When Abby wakes the next morning her bed is empty Brent left her a note, he had to leave but he wants her to have dinner with him. Abby heads to work but her brother asks her to pick up new plans for their next project the Wilder Hotels. Abby walks into the lobby with her work boots on and jeans she gets nasty looks from the other women. She tells the receptionist why she's there, and is soon lead back to offices. Abby gets one look at the man in front of her in his suit and barley recognizes him, it's Brent. He asks her what she's doing there, Abby asks Brent what his last name is. She finds out it's Wilder, then tells him he's their new client and her brother, Jackson is going to flip out. Abby asks him why he never told her who he was, Brent tells her she never told him she worked construction. Brent tells her they need to talk about this but Abby tells him there's nothing to talk about. She asks him for the plans and tells him she needs to get back to work. Brent starts to loosen his tie and take off his shirt, she asks him why he's undressing. Brent tells her because she's looking at him like she doesn't know him. Abby goes to the restroom and while she's taking care of business she hears two women come in, they are talking about Abby. Abby finishes up, washes her hands then turns to the women and tells them she doesn't wear her boots to bed, Brent prefers her naked. Abby rushes to Brent and tells him she's leaving. He asks her what is wrong, but she tells him nothing. Abby tells him she's leaving and rushes to leave, Brent catches up with her and guides her to his waiting car. When they get to Abby's apartment she tells hims he needs to be alone tonight. Brent tells her no and carries her into her apartment, she tells him she doesn't want him there. He tells her they may fight, they may disagree but overnight will end with her in his arms. Abby asks him for how long, he asks her what does she mean. She asks him until he realizes how different they are, he tells he forever. Abby tells him she doesn't fit in with his crowd. Brent tells her everyone loves her, Abby tells him not everyone. Brent tells her those women are jealous of her, she's gorgeous, she's every man's dream. Brent tells her he loves her, he want her by his side forever, he want to have babies with her, she make his world perfect, if he has to give it all up the hotels, the businesses, to make her his he will. Abby tells him she loves him to, she doesn't know how, this was to quick but she doesn't want to mess this up she's a construction worker. Brent tells her he's proud of her, he tells her he's fine with marrying a construction worker. Abby asks him he wants to marry her, and he tells her definitely. Wow loved it
Brilliant loved this book Brent a strong alpha male when he sees Abby he knows he wants her and escorts her to her parents party. Abby knows they are from two different worlds and points this out to Brent but he is having none of it Abby backs down and gives the relationship a go after two weeks she has fallen in love with and the same for Brent as when he says it to Abby marriage is in that too.

After breaking up with her boyfriend on the night of her family’s annual Halloween party, her new neighbor insists on going with her. The connection is instant. When she finds out who he really is she wonders if this could really work? Could they really have a future together? Nice short story wrapped in a neat and entertaining bow. Lovely.

the alpha male raw power and authority...the alpha female raw power and authority... Excellent read, Could not put it down. The author lets you fall for the characters and I wish there were more stories about them or longer stories, as I didn't want to leave them. I loved this story. Wish it could have been longer and more developed. But a great, fast read. Love the authors writing style. It was a well written, compelling story that grabs the readers attention right from the start.

There was a lot for me to visualize while reading this love story. Abby with her deadbeat boyfriend who thought he could show up with a suitcase and move in. To Brent, the handsome new next door neighbor. Abby and Brent attend her parents Halloween party together, nice costumes. To the fire and ice of their relationship. It was a really good book. Written by Cindy :)

Another great read by Hope Ford
I loved this little love story. It shows opposites do attract. Love doesn’t see color, job title, rich or poor. Love sees the heart. Abby was everything Brent wanted and he had to put his foot down because she is definitely a strong willed woman. Great read.

I freaking love Abby! She is Jackson and Ford’s sister. Construction , matchmaker! If you have read Jackson’s story you will know what I mean! She is sassy, feisty and bad ass!

Another great read!
I again am thoroughly impressed with Hope Fords stories. This one, like the others is fleshed out and seems so much longer than it is. The way Brent and Abby’s story flows is just wonderful and hot. I love it!

Abby is book two in the ‘’Tate family holiday’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable.
Abby has a habit of picking the wrong men. She is fed up of having men that want taking care of. When her latest boyfriend tries to move himself in, Abby has had enough gets rid of him. Brent is Abby’s new neighbour. From the moment he see’s her, he wants her. He has a massive urge/need to protect her. Starting with attending her family party with her, which her ex will be at. Will Abby give Brent a chance at being more?
The chemistry between Abby and Brent is clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I loved how protective Brent was of Abby.
I really liked the ending of this book.

A Great Roll Reversal
Really enjoyed this roll reversal quick read by Hope! Most of the time you'll see a blue collar guy in a book and an upper class lady....Roll Reversal!
Abby works for her family's construction company and no not in the office. Brett is a successful well off hotel owner. But jobs don't matter when they meet, it's love at first sight.
Abby struggles with being judged or bringing Brett down for what she does for a living. Brett, well he could care less. He wants Abby, plain and simple.
Loved this story, the chemistry was instant and hot...and change of pace really impressed me. Just when I think I've read every scenario Hope finds a new one!

I liked how Hope Ford seemed to try different angle and different characters each time she wrote her books. This one, different from its predecessors, had one strong independent h who worked in masculine jobs and she was so dang proud of it (somehow I felt the same pride when I read it). Despite her bad ass-ness on work, Abby still maintained that sweet loving and honest demeanour that any insta romance h would possess, which made it a special combination in my opinion. I loved how the story and romance unveil and how the relationship progressing. I also like that the H never had any intention to change who Abby was.
