The Brides of Webster County
Look past the idyllic countryside and meet four Missouri women who are struggling to conform to the expectations of their Amish community and to trust God when life hands them unexpected challenges of widowhood, parenting, careers, and dating.

Going Home
Faith Stutzman Andrews left her Amish community ten years ago to pursue a career as a comedian. Now widowed, she suddenly reappears on her parents’ doorstep with her six-year-old daughter in tow. Which dream will Faith ultimately choose—that of having the career she’s always wanted or the family she’s never really had?

On Her Own
Recently widowed Barbara Zook is struggling to raise her four young boys and manage the family harness shop on her own. When two men offer their aid to this beautiful woman in need, Barbara wonders what God has in mind. Will she find a new love or be forced into a marriage of convenience?

Dear to Me
Melinda Andrews loves two things—the Amish man Gabe Swartz and the animals she helps to heal. When Melissa considers becoming a vet, she knows she must choose between two worlds. Will Melinda stay with Gabe and become an Amish fraa or pursue her dream and be shunned by family and friends forever?

Allison’s Journey
Allison Troyer is sent to Missouri to learn how to run an Amish household. Can she find her way among strangers? Aaron Zook, a confirmed bachelor, can’t help but be drawn to Allison, especially when a ne’er-do-well seems determined to win her heart. Which direction will Allison’s journey take?

It was nice to reread these lighthearted tales of romance from Wanda Brunstetter. I discovered this book in a resale shop in Amish country. Even though I read each book when they were released in 2007-2008, it was nice to refresh my memory. Each heroine had a past to overcome to find romance afresh. Like most Amish romance there were a happy ending for the women and men.

Wanda Brunstetter's The Brides of Webster County contains four books : Going Home, On Her Own, Dear to Me, and Allison's Journey. In Going Home, Faith ventures out on her own. Ten years later, she returns as a widow and with her six year old daughter Melinda. Will she stay? Barbara Zook is raising her four young sons in "On Her Own." Will she accept love from Paul? Melinda seems to be following in her mother's footsteps in "Dear to Me." Will her love for animals become more important than her family and friends? Allison Troyer faces loss at a young age in "Allison's Journey." She asks Jesus into her heart thanks to her Aunt Mary and realizes the importance of a relationship with the Lord. She has an opportunity to witness to James and will she get home in time to be able to witness to Aunt Catherine before it is too late...

Exciting

This book is again one of the outstanding examples of what you can get from this author. She makes the characters come alive so you come to see them as people you know and people who you relate to. Each new book gives you more information and more characters to come to love. This author gives you a home run with every book. She does a great job of entertaining you and still not giving away the plot to soon.

How a faceless Amish doll changed Allison's life

This was book four in Wanda's series The Brides of Webster County. A story about Allison's Journey to find closure from her mother's death and to become an Amish woman who finds her Faith in God and love. This was my favorite in this series.

I really like Wanda E Brunstetter's work but after reading four books in a row in this Omnibus I would like to say that not even in Amishland does everything come out happily ever after every time. I am on sugar ending overkill right now. I think I will have to wait awhile before reading more of her work.
