Micheline Maldonado is terrified and fleeing for her life. She knows what's at stake if she gets caught and she'd rather die. Her past is catching up, the danger breathing down her neck, and she's running out of options fast. Getting picked up by the handsome truck driver may be just what she needs, as long as she can avoid falling for his charming ways.
A trucker always on the move
Nomad is the black sheep of the Mischief Makers Motorcycle Club, the younger brother of the Prez, and the one his MC brothers love to hate. Most days he's good with that, but with his family in danger and the lives of people he cares for on the line, his nomadic lifestyle is stopped in its tracks. The last thing he has time for is a beautiful hitchhiker running for her life. At least, that's what he's telling himself.
An enemy bent on destruction
Even as the unlikely pair give in to their emotions, the enemy is preparing to strike from all sides.
Flora Burgos is a USA Today best-selling romance author from the great state of Texas.
She found the escapism of reading at a very tender age, devouring the bodice rippers of yore, long before she'd even dreamed of a first kiss. Her first book boyfriends were swashbuckling pirates and roguish Highlanders who weren't perfect but made up for their brutish behavior with a good grovel and a happily ever after. Reading has always been an essential part of her life, and she loses herself in a good book at every opportunity.
Today, she's a mid-30's romance author and mom to a teen boy and a couple of confused, lazy pit bulls. She annoys her husband as often as she can, and she survives on poor sleep choices, too much caffeine, and too little water.
Flora loves hearing from her readers, hanging out in her reader group (Burgos Book Babes) on Facebook, and making TikToks (@authorfloraburgos) about her pit bulls and books. It's been a while since I read the first book in this series so it took a bit for me to remember some things. But once I did I really connected with these characters. I would have given 5 stars if there hadn't been so many proofing errors. Several times I had to re-read things to catch the authors meaning and that is something that will always bring my rating down. I really loved Mitchy and Nomad, though.
Nomad is the second book in Flora Burgos’ Mischief Makers MC series. In this book we meet Adeline (Mitchey) the daughter of a cartel leader. Her father is killed, and her brother takes over. We also meet Nomad (Nome) is a trucker and a member of the Mischief Makers MC. The Mischief Makers see themselves as the guardian of their little hamlet. A cartel is trying to encroach on their territory, but the Mischief Makers are handling it. They strive to keep the residents safe. Mitchey’s brother promises her to one of his underlings, Antonio, to keep peace in the club. Antonio is cruel and beats her. She is hitchhiking and Nome picks her up. Realizing she is hurt; he gets her to sleep as he continues his journey picking up and delivery loads. They get to know each other. It does not take long for them to develop an emotional bond. Nome needs to help his brother and leaves her in the care of an associate. Antonio’s men kidnap her. Antonio arrives, decides to bully her further; but she resists. During their struggle, she knocks him out, killing him. She calls Nome who comes to her aid. He secures her safety and disposes of the scene. He takes her to his MC’s compound for safety. Tensions intensify with the cartel’s encroachment. How much collateral damage will accrue during the turf challenge? Will Nome and Mitchey find happiness?
Ms. Burgos does a swell job penning this suspense romantic novel. Her plot line is two pronged. One prong is the romantic journey between Nome and Mitchey. The second is the turf war between the cartel and the Mischief Makers MC. In each she adds twists and turns to the flow of her plot. Her characters are well developed. Her use of conversational and internal dialog helps readers get a better understanding of the characters. Her use of descriptive language paints vivid pictures that help to rivet the readers’ attention. Well done, Ms. Burgos.
I love that Nomad is a trucker & that he & Mitchey get to know each other while on the road. Also, the way his rig is described is totally BA!!
There's some serious danger surrounding her, plus the stuff happening with the club war, but for the most part their story still feels light & fun. I love their personalities!
I laughed & enjoyed this story a lot! There are also a couple of "bring out the tissues" moments, so be prepared. Next up, Scratch & Maisie!
Okay read that had potential to be really great but it kept jumping into scenes with no lead up as to why. Liked nomad but Mitchs character was portrayed younger than 22 and having been brought up in the mob had no smarts as you’d expect. Okay read but also had some editing issues.
This is the best Burgos yet! The book had way more depth than the others in this series. I can hardly wait to read the next installment. Especially if each book gets better than the last one. Interesting characters and progressive story line. Keep 'em coming Ms. Burgos!
I got a third of the way through and I quit. The author seems to have completely forgotten or disregarded the timeline she set in book 1. If Ms. Burgos can’t be bothered to keep track of her stories, why should I waste my time?
Although shorter for a Mc book Nomad and Mitches story was full of action. It was a great read I read it in one sitting. I’m looking forward to reading more of this series xxx
Nomad has been out on his own for a long time, he isn’t massively involved with the club. Circumstances at home have him rethinking his life, add in Mitch and his Nomad days are over.
So good!!! I love the ease and how natural they slipped into a relationship. A chance meeting led to the absolute love of their lives. As always, I really went through all the emotions! I’m eager to start Scratch’s book!
A brilliant second book of the series. It has not lost the fast pace and keeps you interested and turning the pages. This is Nomads book and it is a brilliant read.
Nomad is Jinx brother and an 18 wheel truck driver . He picks Mitchy up on the road running away from an arranged marriage. Insta love as another brother falls.
Nome is the truck driver that stops when Mitch is out hitch hiking, he thinks it's his lucky day as she is the most gorgeous hitching! Mitch is in the run but has she accepted a lift from someone who can help or or one that can do her harm?
When Nomad gets called back to the club, mitch won't go with him so he has to arrange somewhere else for her to go, where she is supposed to be safe but is she?
The cartel and the bangers are still causing trouble with the MC and Nome had to decide wither it's te to come home for good or not.
Love this trip into the Mischief Makers MC and the story with Nome and Mitch is perfect. I loved that Jinx and Pop and the other brothers still played their part can't wait for the next instalment!
Wow! I loved it! Micheline(Mitchie) is running for her life when Nomad picks her up in his tractor trailer. He takes her with him on his run. He’s a member of the Mischief Makers MC and when she finds out she knows she’s in trouble. She has secrets that if he finds out he won’t want anything to do with her. When her past catches up with her he shows her how much she means to him. Nomad is full of action, suspense, secrets, danger and hot, steamy sexiness! Their chemistry was amazing! I loved this book and the Mischief MakersMC: Mother Chapter series! I can’t wait for the next book!
I am loving the Mischief Makers. They always have each others back and are there when needed. Reading Mitchey learn to trust Nomad and him giving her the time to figure him out and trust him. This made my heart happy. Yes there are a few sad things in the book but thankful it ends on a happy note but just wat to soon.

This is starting to look like a great series. Jinx set everything up and this one with Nomad followed on beautifully. I can't wait to see how things work out, though I hope the central story doesn't drag on too long....
I love these boys so much. I was super curious about Nomad and got my answers here. Sexy, sweet, intriguing, suspenseful, painful, sad and in its own way, beautiful. I want way more mischief!!
