Killing Signs

In the streets, there are many kinds of people. Some who love partying, some that work legitimate jobs to pay their bills, and others that gamble or sell drugs to claim their fortunes. Beneath those facades lies something so deadly that no one could ever see it coming.

Sonya Lee and Eric Morris have been homicide detectives for over two years and have worked hundreds of cases together. They have impeccable conviction rates and numerous accommodations.

When a psychopath terrorizes the streets of Cleveland, decapitating bodies along the way, the case is then placed into the hands of two detectives who have only been given a limited amount of time to solve it and hold someone accountable. That is, until one of their own is murdered and the daughter whose parents are politically connected are abducted. Nothing could prepare any of them for what happens next.

In this jaw-dropping, page-ripping novel, you will come face-to-face with one of the most dangerous people known. Whether it be sex, jealousy, or simply murder, it will have you on the edge of your seat. How can you stop a killer that's never been seen? Stay tuned . . .

Oh my

Ok this story was amazing. I was hook from chapter 1. The murders, the twist and turns. I have read many books by Earnest and this one did not disappoint. I can’t wait to find out who the murder is. I really was trying to get into the head of the killer. I think I know who it is too. But I learned it’s not always who you think.

I almost had the answer to the puzzle. Now I have to wait for the next book. That means more death and destruction. Some of those scenes were so gruesome. I might not be able to sleep tonight. The burning question is: who’s behind this and why.

Could not finish this book. 2 Detectives are supposed to be hunting for a serial killer who cuts off the arms of his victims. However, the male detective is too busy having sex with any good looking woman who is presented in the book to actually focus on the case or do much of anything that involves detective work.

Couldn't get past that being the start of every chapter. Too many other good books out there to read.

Don't get me wrong, I am no prude, but I do like a good mystery. I couldn't decide if this was a book about the detectives sexual escapades or a serial killer. I just quit and stopped reading. Great book if your not into thrillers of the murder kind.

Between all the killings that made no sense and all the different romantic partners, this crime thriller had me confused and not even trying to read book 2. I don't care.

A Gripping Murder Mystery

What a fantastic page-turner with compelling, engaging, and diverse characters, great dialogue and descriptive settings. You are drawn into the story with so many twists and turns, speculations, lust, and betrayal. Detective Eric Morris and Detective Sonya Lee are assigned to solve some ghastly murders, where the killer’s messages are baffling, and the city is gripped with fear, but things are not always what they appear to be, and you’re taken on a cat-and-mouse diversion when a young woman is abducted, exposing some secrets, lies, and shockers, leading up to an ending you will never see approaching. The author is a great storyteller and has a witty way with words, “Eric ate her pussy like it was sirloin steak, not ignoring one spot.” I almost fell off the chair reading that line. You will enjoy reading this book, with lots of uninhibited sexuality and drama.

Excellent First Impression

This is the first book I've ever read from this author and it was excellent. It's so full of mystery and plot twists that I'm too ready to dive into book 2! I'll hold my assumptions until I post my review to book 2. On to the next one!

I have read almost all of Ernest books and this book doesn't disappoint at all. I always like how these books flow and get right down to it. The book wasn't predicable and it kept me reading trying to figure out what the heck was going on. The book was grimey and detailed which made for a better read. Overall good story.

This killer is certified!

There was so much sex involved. Women trying to find their mate. Serial killer on the loose killing people in the worse way possible. It's hard to tell if the killer is male or female (I say female bitter even lol). If Eric can stop D'ing women down he can pin down the true killer! Can't wait to read book 2

It grabbed my attention at first, but it fell off. Eric seems to be a hoe, and realistically, who would be entertaining the thought of sexing the detective that is suppose to be searching for your missing daughter??? The story line just didn't make to much sense to me. I did finish the book, and by the ending it's going to be a part 2. Idk about pt.2.

I made it as far as chapter 3. The writing is horrible. I won’t leave any spoilers, but the ridiculousness of certain situations stopped me cold. I have only ever not made it through two books. That’s all I will say.
