He’s has a reputation among the ladies and he’s proud of it, and if Seth McKenzie could stop dreaming about a certain dark-haired vampire, he could get back to have fun. Olivia is the youngest and most rebellious of the vampire clan and she thought that becoming a vampire could was the worst thing that could have happened to her. When an impulsive act of heroism draws the attention of a deadly enemy, Olivia has the chance to save herself, but is ready to leave the only person who stirs feelings insider her.
 
The second book in the ‘Burning Moon’ series has Seth contemplating a relationship with the vampire Olivia, a relationship that is forbidden. This hero and heroine steals the hearts of the readers from the very beginning and the sparks fly in every direction as they dance around the growing attraction that they can’t deny. Lots of friction from both families causes additional emotional turbulence which really makes these characters come alive for the readers.
 
The plot is fast paced and full of suspense and thrills as Olivia draws attention to herself including the press by performing a daring and heroic rescue and this in turn catches the attention of a deadly enemy who comes to town with the intention of claiming Olivia. Readers don’t want to miss a second of the danger and excitement of this story which also includes some surprising twists to keep readers on their toes.

This is an awesome book by RK Close my first time reading. If you love paranormal hot shifters, alpha male firefighters and vampires than you will love this book! I loved Seth and Olivia they were hot and steamy and had sparks form the very beginning. Seth being a wolf shifter and Olivia being a vampire are enemies but they both can't seem to stop craving or thinking about one another. It's a fast paced read that I highly enjoyed and recommend so grab your copy and see if they get a HEA!!! I can't wait to read more!!!!

Vampire Olivia is attracted to Seth but he is her natural enemy a wolf shifter.
Olivia was eighteen and dying with cancer of the brain when vampire Victor walked into her hospital room and took her changing her into a vampire to keep her alive. Now the coven have moved into a new area to avoid a viscous vampire with a grudge. When she encounters wolf shifter Seth and finds herself attracted to him but wolves are the natural enemy of vampires. Every time Seth was near Olivia he found it impossible to take his eyes off her but then the evil that is following Victor's Coven finds them.

Seth a wolf shifter finds himself obsessed with Olivia a vampire. This is unusual for him, he is a one time kind of guy. A different one every night. But since he met here there has been no one else and he hasn't even had her yet.
Olivia hates being a vamp, she won'the drink blood from a human, and she stays away from the other vamps as much as she can. Even Victor who made her to save her life as she was dieing.
She is drawn to Seth, but his bite could kill her. What will these do.

This is part of a series but also slightly stand alone as it follows a different brother. I missed book one but will go back and read it. I loved the characters in this book and will defiantly be checking out the remaning series!

Shifters and vampires, mortal enemies. Is it possible to call a truce? Friends, maybe? But surely not love. Right?

Seth felt a strange obsession starting in Spark but struggles with acceptance. Especially with the odds against them.

Second in the series, Ignite will pull you into the paranormal world of wolves, vampires and witches. It is a sweet, suspenseful, page-turner, which I didn’t want to end. The characters are so cohesive I feel as if I am part of their world, their lives. RK Close’s descriptive writing style transports the reader directly into her stories. I anxiously await the next in this series!

Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and passion, strength, happiness with a happily ever after. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed.

Excellent read

This is my first book in this series and by this author and I loved it so much that I went and bought Spark the first book in the series. This is Seth and Olivia's story

To say that these two are star crossed lovers is an understatement they are both hiding secrets Seth the middle brother in a trio of fire fighting brothers is keeping the same secret as his brother they are wolf shifters and they know that the small town wouldn't accept them if they knew He is a man about town different woman every night and quite proud of the fact until he meets a brunette beauty who makes him rethink his ways. Olivia cannot accept the fact that she was turned to a vampire by Victor when he found her dying she is so traumatised by it that she won't even take blood Now her clan has moved to a small country town and this city girl hates it. She is attracted to Seth a local fire fighter though. Even though that could be dangerous as wolf shifter and vampire don't mix his bite could kill her But when danger from her clans past comes to town and her clan decides to run but can she leave Seth and will he be able to keep her safe if she stays.

Like that there’s shifters, vamps, and witches! The magical aspects were cool! It’s fun to see the different characteristics of each type of paranormal. I didn’t read the first book, but this book stood on its own; I do want to read it now though. There’s a good depth to the story; I’d like more to the romance aspect, but overall the story felt well thought out and full. Seth, a wolf shifter, and Olivia, a vampire, feel a connection, but both resist it. They have good chemistry and I enjoyed that bit of forbidden aspect to their connection; wolves and vamps don’t usually mix very well, but there’s a pull between them. There’s some sweet moments, but I would’ve liked more spice; more time spent with them together. The bit of suspense was entertaining; there’s some evil vampires tossed into the mix, so that’s always fun. I liked both Seth and Olivia, but both did need to grow some throughout the story. It was nice that both supported the other and were willing to go outside their comfort zones for each other. A lovely, slow burn romance. A well written story that kept me interested the whole time; looking forward to more in this series!

What to say what to say without giving the plot away. Read it, its good. The end. haa haa but seriously I read Ashes first then Spark but this book took the story to a different level there is a paragraph or three that caused the hairs on my arms to literally stand up I actually felt them, you know that little prickling feeling you get. I also discovered that on more than one occasion I was holding my breath and ducking under the covers which is makes reading really difficult especially when you've left your book on the outside of the covers.
The character development is fantastic and I love the underlying story of the boys origins as well as the supporting cast (for want of a better description) running in the background which is being uncovered gradually adding more colour and interest to the growing books tapestry.
I feel the author has found her stride and power in this book and is really enjoying the process / journey she's taking us on. I'm looking forward to Blaze as that is going to be most intriguing

Ignite by R. K. Close is the second book in the Burning Moon series. In this book, Simon as the vampire covens leader has moved his vampire coven to hide from Xavier another vampire who has threatened to take Olivia a newly turned vampire by force. While in town Olivia draws attention to herself which brings both good and evil into her life. This story is an enchanting tale of star crossed lovers. The characters are so likeable and interesting, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to find out what happens next. This is my favorite kind of paranormal romance with lots of different paranormals who learn to become friends and lovers because of who they are instead of what they are. Anyone who enjoys a well written paranormal romance will love this book. Ignite is a wonderfully inspiring story about love and sacrifice.

Ok, this was a no-brainer for me since my hubby is a firefighter. However, I've not been one to get into "shifter fantasies" until now. I saw that Ms. Close recommended reading the books in the order they were written so I bought book #1. I can honestly say, I'm hooked to the ends of the earth!!!! These brothers are just amazing. Ms. Close really flushes out not only the characters, but the environments as well! Very little is left to the imagination when envisioning the town. I look forward to future works by R. K Close!!!!!

There is so much excitement, emotional drama and intrigue, unanswered questions and much more with these two. She is a vampire and he is a wolf shifter. They are drawn to each other in many ways. There is so much danger with someone after her and what can happen if they get together. What do you do when you want someone badly for so many reasons? Go ahead and see if everything works out or run? I highly recommend this. It had me hooked from the first page. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
