Reconciled: A Civl War Saga

Rate this book
The third in a trilogy, Reconciled follows the interconnections among a superbly memorable cast of characters during the Civil War as they internally and externally wrestle with why they're fighting, or why they're not fighting at all. Others will grapple with mere survival when the war alarmingly shows up on their front lawn or storefront.

The Asunder Civil War saga races to a thundering conclusion. More complicated battle, more intrigue, more heartbreak, and new-found love. With all the characters from Asunder and Splintered returning, the tightly woven plot pushes forward at a dramatic pace.

I can see why the book is called a masterpiece by a professional reviewer. So much excellent action. Heartbreaking romance. Following the previous two books in the saga, this one closes with a magnificent ending; unexpected, but so appropriate. Plot twists, historically accurate with actual quotes from famous people - from Confederate generals to General Grant and Abraham Lincoln A glorious ride that appeals to readers of historical fiction and of just plain solid literature.

After reading the full trilogy I feel like I have a more rounded understanding of the civil war. Kind of hard to say goodbye to all the characters I have gotten to know. I found myself wondering if and how some of their paths might cross again.

I was interested to learn about the fighting in the West during the civil war. The romance seemed a bit ungrounded and there were too many storylines. Some that were never finished.

RECONCILED will not just entertain you, but it will enthrall you. With over 50 real persons who were involved in the Civil War in some ways aptly blended in with the leading characters, see how people dealt with war all around them. Civilians, officers, rank and file soldiers. Two women love one man, but he has amnesia. Will either of them find him? Will his memory return? What about these tough Texas horse wranglers? Cherokees attacking. Houses burned by marauders. Swollen rivers. Battle raging all around them.
Who will be brave? Who will survive?
One of the major characters in this last of the series finds himself as a spy and following a suspect in a Washington DC brothel. Two assassins plan to kill Lincoln. Plot twists and unforgettable characters.
