A white supremacy hate group is spreading its tendrils through the bucolic hills of Middle Tennessee, holding target practice in Laurel Hill wildlife area and stockpiling weapons in preparation for a race war.
It's up to Savannah's husband Rafe to find and eliminate them... with a little help from Columbia chief of police Tamara Grimaldi, the joint sheriffs of Lawrence, Lewis, Giles, and Maury counties, and an undercover agent from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation - an undercover agent Rafe trained, and one he wants to keep alive.
But it isn't Clayton in the cross-hairs when the members of the group discover they're under investigation. It's Rafe who goes down from a bullet to the chest, and Savannah who must sideline her worry to lend a hand in taking down the people responsible, before they can put their evil plans into action and affect damage that far supersedes the shooting of one man.

Heart-stopping, action-filled excellence from beginning to end! Collateral Damage is best of a fantastic series. Jenna Bennett's Savannah Martin series has gone from a great mystery to unbelievably awesome.
Not my favorite Savannah Martin mystery. As I said in my review of the previous book, I’m getting a little tired of hearing about how “hot” Rafe is. A lot of references to their sex life could be omitted as far as I’m concerned. But, what is really ridiculous, in this book in particular, is how Savannah is included in so much of the police activities. First, what police department would allow this! And, second, what mother would place her child in so many dangerous situations. Really, chasing a known criminal with you baby strapped in a car seat; taking off to the site of a potential mass shooting then strolling around the street with child in hand. Ridiculous in every logical way. I know this is fiction. But, Jenna, please make it believable.
It’s a good and engrossing story, but it’s a little heartbreaking to realize that half a decade after it was released, and the world hasn’t gotten any better or safer for people who aren’t rich white men. I really liked that this book focused on a small group of specific suspects, and it wasn’t so much about ‘whodunnit?’ but rather about how to prove they did it. And I’m almost prepared to commit violence that we did’t get to witness the arrest that’s teased at the end, because I really really really wanted to read that. Well, my fingers are crossed that maybe we’ll get to experience flashbacks of the scene in the next books.
I always love it when a new Savannah and Rafe shows up in my library! I fell in love with the characters and writing style with the first book. It's like following your best friends around and getting all the good tingles from close encounters with criminals Rafe chases but seeing the scary part with a layer of protection that is Savannah's courage, humor, family and, I'll say it, pigheadedness:) Love the way she and Rafe relate and how a close family and community help each other out. Can't wait for the next one!
I've read every book in the Savannah Martin series, and I always look forward to the next one. This one was really satisfying, because Rafe and Savannah hit a nice balance where it feels like they work more as a team than going in their separate directions. They FEEL settled into marriage and raising a daughter in this book. I wish Savannah would finally find her niche and be a success as a realtor or home flipper or at SOMETHING, though. It feels like she deserves a break. But I love this series!
This is another great addition to the Savannah Martin series, with lots of help from Rafe and baby Carrie. As usual, Savannah stumbles into trouble without looking for it, but this time with Carrie along for the ride. I'm looking forward to reading about their next misadventure.
Savannah is my favorite TSTL character ever. I did get annoyed she put her baby in danger and knew she was. I just decided to over look it and go for the ride. The author was not going to let Carry get hurt. The chase was fun to read and I think this may be my favorite book of the series.
I love this series and I get so excited when a new ones comes out! Rafe and Savannah are one of the best couples ever! They have been thru a lot but still love each other. The secondary characters are great! This book is a great read. Get it and you will be hooked!!! Thank.you!!!
I have now read all nineteen books available in this series and yes, I have enjoyed them, there has been quiet humour and a good style of writing but after a while, these stories are becoming a bit monotonous as they are all variations on a single theme. They have been good but don't think I will carry on with any others that might be added to the series.
Collateral Damage is the 19th book in the Savannah Martin Mysteries Series. I have read every book in this series. Again, Savannah finds trouble. Rafe and Savannah are together more in this book. They work together to solve the crime. I love them as a couple. Overall, I really liked this book. I am looking forward to the next installment in the series.
Savannah is still not listening to Rafe and getting into trouble. I’m so frightened for little Carrie and the places her mom drags her to. Jenna Bennett really knows how to keep the story fresh and include everyone in the story line. I’m looking forward to the next book. Definitely a good choice . Get started now on this series!!!
Savannah and Rafe are at it again, along with Grimaldi and some old favorites. Rafe's trainees make an appearance to help with the case and we get to check in with the very pregnant Alexandra. The story is well written as usual and full of suspense.
Another entertaining storyline in this series, this one involving a group of people who are white supremacy and the damage and hatred and murder they are causing.
I love Savannah Martin. I’m always totally engrossed in her mysteries. I especially liked this one because I also really love Rafe and they were together more than usual and they are great together.
I like these story would like to read more of Savannah love life with her husband, more detail, it seem to be hot, and more of her back ground on her father people, also more of her step son, would like her business to get off the
Another really enjoyable read. Not the who dunnit much more the why and where and how, and then the catching them in the act. These books always leave you wanting more, can’t wait for the next instalment.
How she gets into so much mischief and she’s kind of silly and always trying to get more info but the storyline is great. I love keeping up with savannah and her shenanigans!
This is the nineteenth book in the series, which I have read multiple times. The characters are like old friends and the storyline is always superb. Definitely worth reading the entire series.
Another hit I like the fact that they are back in there home town. All the main characters are great. The books in this series should be ready in order. Plus they make you laugh and cry but I think people would like them.
This book was a fun, easy read like the others in this series. This one wasn't quite as good as the last one, but it's fun to see Savannah trying to balance having a baby and still wanting to be involved in solving mysteries.
I love the series but once she has the baby and drags her into all these crazy situations, I'm not liking it to much and that Rafe and grimaldi go along with it, well I think not. Keep the books coming but hired a nanny.
This is another exciting, entertaining mystery with all the characters I love in this series. This one has murders, explosions, and always love. Very enjoyable book!
This series just keeps getting better. Plenty of plot twists. Savannah is her usual inquisitive self and seems to always be in the middle of the action. Interesting characters all around. Loved it!
I have read every book in this series and they just keep getting better and better. Highly recommend starting with this book or at the beginning. Well worth the read!
