The mission is the most important thing in Nicky’s life, that’s all there is to focus on. She has tried her best and made many sacrifices and she is determined not to lose anyone else. The characters are really beginning to come into their own and Nicky’s skills and bravery grow every day.
More dark events come into play and the excitement grows as we are coming to the end of the series. Nicky and her friends try to locate Nate and complete the sword so that they are ready to defeat The Order.
I’m really loving this series and am sad that it gets near the end with just one last book to go. At the same time I’m super excited for the last ‘episode’!

The next instalment of Lana Melyan’s engaging and enjoyable story about a young witch called Nicky and her mission to stop an evil coven’s fiendish plan is clearly building towards a big finale. I think that this was my favourite episode so far but I would strongly recommend YA fantasy fans to read the series from the beginning.

But Nicky needs to find Nate first even though he said to carry on without him. She has to find him first.
Omg this series just gets better and better. I love the cover. Another full of action throughout the story. 5*. Would give more if I could. Highly recommended.

I thought this series of books were a bit slow even if the books are short, but as I'm getting to the last book the story has gripped me.

I loved it!
It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I couldn’t put it down, I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. This is Book (Episode) Eight of The Weight of Magic series. This is a fast-paced, easy and short read, perfect for a quick jump into an exciting world of witches, high school, vampires, and danger. This novella series is an exciting ride with unexpected turns and twists; it's like a TV show in a book form. You're one click from starting your binge-read.

The Last Secret is the 8th book in The Weight of Magic series and, like the previous, is a pocket sized portion of Nicky's battle against Evil.
Nate is in the hands of The Order and Nicky is torn between saving her soul mate or completing the mission, she knows which she should do first but is unable to leave Nate behind. Our little band of friends seem to have an insurmountable task ahead of them against the vastly superior numbers of The Order, but will Nicky's newly increased powers tip the balance. Can they win the race to the mausoleum and finally rid the world of Kenneth and stop him releasing his evil on the world.
As always Lana writes her characters with emotions and a normality, making their battle very real to the reader, every decision heart felt.
As we near what I'm assuming is the finale of this series it was difficult to get to the end of the book and realise I'd have to wait again for the next one to find out what happens next. I'm quite definitely in Nicky's corner.

This series just gets better and better, I flew through this one reading it in one sitting. I loved how it picked up straight away and immediately you reconnect the dots to know what is happening in the story and where the last book ended.

I am loving these small novellas and this one was packed full of action, they are just getting better and better the more we are finding out about what it is Nicky and Nate have to achieve to end the curse for good and fulfil there mission.
Nicky,Nate and the rest are up against witches and are in a race of there lives to get to the mausoleum before the council of witches,they need to stop them resurrecting Kenneth in the tomb before they get to use the sword to end this for good.
Loving all these and i now can't wait for the next instalment as we are drawing to a close to find out if they are going to end this mission once and for all.

Mission doesn’t come first anymore. After losing almost everyone she loves, Nicki is not willing to sacrifice anyone else. She will do everything in her power to find Nate and keep him safe and they will deal with the consequences together.
However, the consequences might be harder than either of them could ever imagine. Every step in Nicki’s journey backfires and now they have to deal with to worst of it all and stop the Order.
Again, this is fast paced and reads very well. The story continues to grip imagination and you just need to keep going. Can’t wait to see what Nicki and her friends come to next.

Wow, what an action packed read. Nicky is definitely getting to grips with her magical powers . A gripping, fast paced further adventure of Nicky, Connie and crew. In their search for Nathan, Nicky is forced to make a life changing decision.

Really enjoying this series! In the latest instalment, Nicky is desperately searching for nate and is determined not to let anything get in her way. The books are short but action packed, can't wait to see what happens next after that ending!

Heart racing
Nate is found. Nikki has done what she set out to and risked everything for love. She was rewarded when she found Nate. Only to be disappointed when they fail at the very end. The cliff hanger at the end really got me. Hopefully they all succeed in the final book.

I started this series on June 14th and only just finished the series on June 16th. It a definite page turner since you really want to know what happens next. Which is why I didn't do a review when I finished the first book but after I finished the series.
