A fantastic, local, relevant, easy to read book about investing firstly but also highly relevant and current to Australia in 2020. Danielle speaks from experience as a share trader who has been clearly immersed in this world for many many years. Her style of writing is easy to understand and the advice that she provides is invaluable. I have been in finance for over 22 years and have a finance degree but was still able to take away a vast amount of information from this book that will help serve me in my future investing pathway.
From discussing the ratios and the way to invest through to various strategies for people in various stages of life this book has something for anyone looking to invest in the Australian share market.
I highly rate this book for anyone wanting to have a base knowledge of investing. Shareplicity is an easy read and sparks the mind with practical investment information.
Exactly what I needed to start investing in Australia
As a new investor in the share market based in Australia, I needed more information about the choices that are available to me. The infamous Barefoot Investor book may have started the journey, but it was skinny on the details of share investing.
Enter this book. It introduces and explains terms exactly in the context needed, as the author progressed in her explanation of how to invest in shares. It isn’t dry, yet manages to stick to the point and also be conversational enough for you to feel like you’re having ten chapters’ worth of coffee with a knowledgeable friend.
Definitely the best read about starting share investing in Australia I’ve read so far.
Good simple introduction to shares. But for those more experienced beyond beginner there's not much meat on the bone I'd argue to get you beyond the initial framework. Still good to get you rolling on the pathway and reading and educating more.
