I spent an entire semester trying to get back to the Dull World, but now that I’m here, I realize it’s not that simple. I can’t just go back to the way things were.
For one thing, I left my heart with three gorgeous, incredible men, and I miss them so much it hurts.
For another thing, Roxie didn’t swap places with me on purpose this time.
Someone took her.
That means she’s in danger, and I might be too.
Maybe the smartest thing would be to just keep my head down, try to rebuild my life here, and forget I ever went to the Hidden World.
But, come on. We all know I’m not gonna do that, right?
Magic Chase is the second book in the Hidden World Academy series, a medium-burn reverse harem story intended for ages 18+, featuring a sassy human who's a little out of her depth and the three men who win her heart.
The first book I really liked, it was slow going, there was time to settle in with the characters and had a lot of potential. This one is pretty much a speed up, running around and sex. It fell into the obvious, cliche pile. I know they want to make the most of their time together but Jesus someone please cock block at least one scene.
The story itself I liked, there was plot progression on the Roxie/Gabbi front and I have a new appreciation for Bianca, She may even be my favourite character. I’ll read the conclusion as I’m curious how they’ll stop the bad guy. I’ll probably skip the sex scenes after the first couple.
This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Sadie Moss!
Magic Chase is the second book in the Hidden World Academy series and tells the story of Gabbi and her three men.
Magic Chase was yet another amazing book by Sadie Moss. So far, there hasn’t been one Sadie Moss book that I didn’t love, she’s just that good. I love the characters, the story and the world she’s created. The concept of this story is just so amazing!
Magic Chase was such a good book because it wasn’t just about the love and the action, but also about defining Gabbi’s feelings. I loved reading about Gabbi’s feelings for the three men, it was really beautiful. Gabbi is such an amazing and strong character and I love Cross, Kasian and Theo. They’re so different yet all three of them are perfect for Gabbi!
Magic Chase was a well-written sequel that I couldn’t put down. I had to know what was going to happen to Gabbi, Cross, Kasian and Theo. I loved Magic Chase and I cannot wait for the third and final book in the series, Magic Gambit!
Woo! I loved this book. It started right where the last one left off. Gabby is back in the dull world. She is trying to sort out her life. She is missing her guys and her parents think she's in trouble because of the way Roxie acting towards them when she was pretending to be Gabby. Yes I realize it sounds confusing but if you've read the first book you will get it. Gabby realizes that Roxie was taken from the dull world and is in trouble and Gabby wants to help her. I feel like that is a pretty good summary of this book. Gabby and her men try to figure out what has happened to Roxie and try to find a way to help.
I loved Gabby and her men. There was a lot of growth in the relationships and I enjoyed every second of it.
WOW just WOW.. So we pick up with where we left off in book one Magic Swap. So Gabbi is back in the Dull world trying to figure out what is going on. Only to go back to the magic world with more questions. This time while she is in the magic world she comes across a prophecy that Roxie found out about. So now she is trying to find out more of what Roxie stumble across to put herself in danger. Gabbi wants to help Roxie out and will the help of the guys she is determined. Also this time around her relationship with the guys get deeper and oh my it gets really hot and heavy. Gabbi is being pulled back in forth between worlds and being chased by cult members. Things are starting to get dangerous and intense. This book is full of twist and turns. So be prepared for this wild ride.
This is an amazing follow up to book one. I can't wait to read what happens next.
Sadie Moss has done it again, creating a world filled with characters you can’t help but love - and a few you are sure to hate. This book finds answers, and a ton more questions. They have a general idea if what’s going on and why, but no clue how to stop it.
Magic Chase by Sadie Moss is a medium-burn paranormal reverse harem romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Pavelec. This is the second book in the Hidden World Academy series.
I absolutely love Sadie's books! She does a great job pulling me into the story and I can't help but binge them in one sitting. I absolutely love the relationship between Gabbi, Cross, Theo and Kasian. I really enjoyed getting some of Roxie's story with throughout the book.
The book does end on a cliffhanger but that wasn't a surprise since its the second book in the trilogy. I can't wait to dive into the next book Magic Gambit.
Sarah did an amazing job on the narration. She really knows how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like paranormal romances, academy romances, reverse harems, or fantasy romance.
Gabbi finds out that getting teleported to the Hidden World might not have been just and accident and Roxie might have initiated it. So her and her guys, Theo, Cross and Kasian need to figure out why Roxie would do something like this, and who is making the two of them switch back and form between the Hidden and the Dull worlds.
It's a nice story, and I like how Gabbi and her guys interact like a well-oiled machine.
I enjoyed this book slightly more than the first one. There is more action, the pace is different-a bit faster. We finally know why Roxie decided to swap places with Gabbi, we understand her actions better. Gabbi said it, and I agree with her: Roxie isn't a bad person, she was just scared as hell (and girl, I get why now).
I really liked the end, with the apparition of the cult and everything that followed (including the fact that ), it was my favorite part of the book.
I'm dying for Gabbi and Roxie to meet, or like have a conversation somehow so hopefully they will in the last book. I will definitely read it soon!
I thought Sadie upped the ante in book 2 of her Hidden World Academy series! I loved the mystery and how action packed this book was, compared to book 1. We get to see more of the ramifications of the swaps, and get to see the relationships grow and strengthen between Gabbie and her 3 guys. I loved how steamy they were, but my only critique is I thought their relationship grew pretty fast and there were a lot of steamy scenes (and I usually love that, but I think sometimes it took away from the story, like made it slow down/go back a couple steps). Not that I didnt think the scenes were 🔥🔥🔥 or romantic, just I think it could have been pared down a little. I was looking forward to the story progressing and thought some of the twists and turns were really good and made me want to know more. We got to learn more about Roxie and how she became the way she is (duuuude her family is a trip, that's for sure!) and we get to sympathize a little more each time, because she hasn't had the easiest life either. The scenes at the end were heartpounding and I was totally shocked by the twist (and Bianca wowed me, in a good way. I wasn't a huge fan of her previously but she is growing on me!
So for the narration, I thought Sarah did a great job this time again, no complaints on my end from her. I liked her perspective with the other side characters, made the story come to life. I did notice some editing was needed (repeated phrases) but that didnt detract enough for me to drop it down by any stars or anything. I thought this one really showed Sarah's range with all the back and forth Gabbie had to do, with all the other characters Sarah had to perform herself. Great job, she is definitely improving and making these characters and story shine ❤️
Amazing Story & Series! A Fabulous & Enjoyable Audible Listen🎧
Magic Chase By: Sadie Moss Narrated by: Sarah Pavelec Series: Hidden World Academy, Book 2
Sadie Moss delivers another amazing novel in her “Hidden World Academy” series, it picks up right where the first book finishes. Gabbi is missing her guys and life seems dull around her. She learns more about Roxie and what she may have been up to, not to mention the havoc she created in Gabbi’s life, changing majors in school and getting real friendly with Dean next door. Gabbi wants more and she finds away to get it. Not wanting to spoil anything I will not say much more other than to get this book, if you have not started with “Magic Swap” be sure to do so, you will not be disappointed. The story sweeps you right in, it is an imaginative fantasy PNR that is entertaining and enjoyable. There is never a dull moment, with plenty of drama, action, twists and turns, thrilling suspenseful moments and some hot romance. Sadie Moss, thank you for another amazing story I am looking forward to what comes next in this series.
I listened to the Audible edition, Sarah Pavelec is a talented narrator and voice artist. She continues to bring the characters and their story to life and her portrayal of them is spot on, making them sound as you picture the to. She sets the perfect tone and adds the right amount of dramatic flair which enhances the already awesome story another level. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Magic Chase (Hidden World Academy Book 2) ~~ Magic Chase turns the intensity up several notches. The stakes are higher, the danger is more real, and the secrets start coming out whether anyone is ready for them or not. What I loved most about this book is that nothing slows down. Just when you think the characters might get a breather, Sadie Moss throws another twist into the mix.
The main character is forced to grow fast in this installment. There’s less confusion and more determination, but that doesn’t mean things get easier. Trust is tested, alliances feel shaky, and the academy becomes even more dangerous. You really start to see how layered this world is — and how deep the manipulation and power struggles go.
I bounced between Kindle and Audible again with this one, and honestly, the narration made the chase scenes and emotional confrontations even better. Listening while doing everyday things helped me stay immersed in the story when I couldn’t physically sit down and read ~which is a lifesaver during the school year.
This book doesn’t wrap things up neatly, and I appreciated that. It feels like the middle of a storm everything is moving, shifting, and building toward something bigger.
I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself ~ you won’t regret it.
Gabbi finds herself back in the dull world after a switch back with Roxie. Once her only goal had been to get back to her family and former life. But that was before Kasian, Cross, and Theo. There's also Roxie to think about. Someone is after Roxie and if Gabbi can help her, she has to. Luckily, Roxie left her a way. Now Gabbi is back in the hidden world with more questions and more complications. When she discovers the answers her life becomes even more dangerous. Her men will do all they can to keep her safe and in their world but will it be enough.
The premise of this story is wonderful. The parallel worlds, the prophecy, the danger. The characters are all developed and likable. I can't believe I am saying this but it would be better with less sex. The sex scenes are steamy but they disrupt the pacing of the story. They kill the buildup of suspense and hurt the storytelling. Time is of the essence, Gabbi's world with her family is on the brink of being destroyed, so let's get naked. Maybe hold the hormones. It was great to see Gabbi find her footing. She is a much stronger character in this book. More like she was supposed to be back in the dull world. Finally, the breakout star of this book is Bianca. Go girl! Now we need to see if they can save her bestie.
Recommend: Yes Spice: 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ Love Interests: 3 males 1 Female Reverse Harem World: 2 worlds, magic and Dull World
Plot:
The MC is a Human from the Dull world who is swapped with her twin from the magic world. She is living her twins life in the magic world to try to keep her twin Roxy safe in the dull world. She currently has 3 boy friends Kasian, Theo and Cross. They are all happily dating and love her. They help her discover why a cult is after her twin Roxy.
My feelings: When I first started this series I found it hard to get into, then after sometime I was drawn ins with the spicy chapters, which are great! This book hold a lot them which I feel kept you engaged with the book. I felt the story line was as revealed in this book, more Gabbie getting her harem into order and getting everyone on board with being with her all together. You can see the love for all the men grow. Its clear there is no way they will separate, but I feel like after the prophecy was revealed as her that, that will be the end result. But I don’t think that is what is gonna happen. I think she will chose the men and destroy the worlds.
My emotions must show on my face, because Kasian nods, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallows. “Us too, Gabbi. Us too.”

UGHHHH!!! (frustrating groan) that cliffhanger... Gosh! Just when I think it couldn't get any better it does... The story picks up just where the first book ended, and we get more information about Roxy and why she fled to the Dull World. The story flows pretty well not getting dull or boring at any moment, it just keeps you wondering what else is going to happen. The relationship between Gabby and her guys keeps getting so much better and I really love all of them. Bianca is a badass I really like her, such a strong girl and great friend. As for the prophecy... I am pretty certain they are wrong about who it is referring to, and I really really need book 3 to confirm my suspicions, honestly I can't wait for it because even though I don't want this story to end, I need to know what's going to happen.
Sarah Pavelec performance is pretty good, just like in the first book. I love how she portrays each character and brings them to live with her amazing narration.
Book two of three. A really new take of a storyline! There are two worlds, one full of magic, and another (our world) which is not. Essentially there are carbon copies of everyone on each, and our heroine manages to fall through a manhole into the magical one, and play pretend for a while... well at least while she tried to fugure out WHAT THE HELL?! Honestly really well written, fun circumstances alongside properly scary edge of your seat ones.
High heat, shared shenanigans, sometimes at the risk of losing the plot line - but I am Ok with that :)
Available on Audible as a complete set for just one credit too, which was over 30 hours of steamy magical goodness.
This is just a weird series, like barely anything happens but there is plot progression. It was interesting to meet Roxie's family. I think meeting her family and finding out more about her relationship with Dean added a lot more depth and understanding to Roxie's charavter. We learn more about her motivation. The premise is what keeps me reading the series, but it's the execution that makes it feel lackluster. It became quite guessable: the betrayal, and magic. I kept waiting to be surprised. I also liked finding out more about Bianca, it made her character more 3-Dimensional. Plot progression wise, I just think the whole series could probably have been condensed down to a single book.
Lots of long winded heart to hearts, over-explained emotions, perspectives, and thought processes we’ve already gone over. It’s pretty much filler.
Done sparingly, it would’ve aided in character development, but it was too exhaustive to be conducive to quality rather than quantity.
The majority of the book is spent explaining things that we’re already aware of to other people, for some reason, and only a little anticlimactic action near the end.
I think there were meant to be plot twists, but those events are supposed to be surprising, right? These weren’t.
Found this series by accident. Looking for paranormal reverse hereem and came upon this. Dull World Gabbi and Hidden World Roxi swap places. Gabbi has no idea what is happening and what’s worse, has no idea how to get back home. Here enters Kasian, Cross, and Theo. Slowly they find out not only is she not who she says she is but is falling for her. This is where it all begins... great read. Plenty of storyline, sexy time, and action. All 3 books are 300+ pages, editing is good, it’s an exciting read.
I'm going to give book 2 a 3.5 star rating rounded up because I didn't really get as into this story as I was with book 1. Not a lot of plot development in the first half of the book, the last third or so of the book a lot happens but it just felt a little dragging before that. The sexy time was hot, there's a menage scene in this one. You get to meet Roxie and Gabbi's families a bit which is nice. Overall still a great fantasy romance installment but it didn't grab me as much as book 1 did. However I will complete the series.
Book 2 in the series. I take it , it continues after book 1. I don’t have book 1 so I can only understand some of it. This is a paranormal reverse harem. Heroine is Gabi. Hero’s are Cross , Theo and Kasian. Gabi doesn’t know what she got herself into and she doesn’t know how to get back home , until she sees Cross, Kasian and Theo . The men take one look at her and they know she’s what they want
She goes home to the dull world but she is not happy as Roxy is scared. But of course, she finds a way to swap them back and help Roxy escape her abductors. Honestly, they all go on a merry chase for clues and adventures but they find a way to spend some good time together, as a group and one on one. It's cool. I started the next book right away.
I love these magical books. Great characters that I want so much more from, an intriguing storyline and off the charts chemistry. Very well written. Brilliant performance from Sarah. #audiobookobsessionreviewer
As the story continues Gabbi and the boys are trying to find out what is happening to Roxi, it’s a race against time and they are not winning. Packed full of drama and excitement well written it’s not a bad story, looking forward to the final boo in this trilogy
I hope you read book one because you will need to. We pick up where we left off, and this was a "page-turner." Gabby and her fellas are perfect. This story had a nice flow, and it left me wanting more. I need book 3!
Magic Chase, the sequel to Magic Swap is an action packed Reverse Harem fantasy, is a great listen. The well written story narrated by Sarah Pavalec is a lively, sexy tale that straddles the Magic world and the dull world. (This world) Great for lovers of RH paranormal romances
Gabbi and her three men are in the Hidden World. The world of magic. But she has to return to the Dull World, her world where her parents and brother are. But Roxie is still in danger, lots of danger. This series is so hard to put down as so much is happening. Absolutely love it.
The story itself is a great idea but it was just soooooooooooo slow. Most of the middle dragged on forever and I found myself skipping parts until some type of action happened. Finishing the series but dang, I hope it doesn’t drag like this one did.
OMG the tension and fear they find themselves in 😳 Wow i am so enjoying this series by Sadie. The best bit is knowing i don't have to wait for the next book 😁😍
