In the finale of this series, the Big Bad from book 1 is still out there, and our hero, Ash, knows who he is. But the 'whys' still elude him. With Ash's memory barely coming back, and the Gatekeeper gaining powers, it's an exciting conclusion of how the villain has been pulling the strings all along.
