Chuck Dixon delivers the seventh book of the dark, action filled series – Levon Cade.
Levon Cade is back in Alabama, home from the wars for good, or so he thought…but he’s soon called back to battle when his young cousin goes missing. A victim of possible abduction.

Levon quickly uncovers an epidemic of vanishings of young boys across the county and a conspiracy of silence to protect the man responsible.

For years he fought in all four corners of the world for his country. Now it’s time for Levon to go to combat again, closer to home in what will be a war without mercy.

Charles "Chuck" Dixon is an American comic book writer, perhaps best-known for long runs on Batman titles in the 1990s.

His earliest comics work was writing Evangeline first for Comico Comics in 1984 (then later for First Comics, who published the on-going series), on which he worked with his then-wife, the artist Judith Hunt. His big break came one year later, when editor Larry Hama hired him to write back-up stories for Marvel Comics' The Savage Sword of Conan.

In 1986, he began working for Eclipse Comics, writing Airboy with artist Tim Truman. Continuing to write for both Marvel and (mainly) Eclipse on these titles, as well as launching Strike! with artist Tom Lyle in August 1987 and Valkyrie with artist Paul Gulacy in October 1987, he began work on Carl Potts' Alien Legion series for Marvel's Epic Comics imprint, under editor Archie Goodwin. He also produced a three-issue adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien's The Hobbit for Eclipse with artist David Wenzel between 1989 and 1990, and began writing Marc Spector: Moon Knight in June 1989.

His Punisher OGN Kingdom Gone (August, 1990) led to him working on the monthly The Punisher War Journal (and later, more monthly and occasional Punisher titles), and also brought him to the attention of DC Comics editor Denny O'Neil, who asked him to produce a Robin mini-series. The mini proved popular enough to spawn two sequels - The Joker's Wild (1991) and Cry of the Huntress (1992) - which led to both an ongoing monthly series (which Dixon wrote for 100 issues before leaving to work with CrossGen Comics), and to Dixon working on Detective Comics from #644-738 through the major Batman stories KnightFall & KnightsEnd (for which he helped create the key character of Bane), DC One Million , Contagion , Legacy , Cataclysm and No Man's Land . Much of his run was illustrated by Graham Nolan.

He was DC's most prolific Batman-writer in the mid-1990s (rivalled perhaps in history by Bill Finger and Dennis O'Neil) - in addition to writing Detective Comics he pioneered the individual series for Robin , Nightwing (which he wrote for 70 issues, and returned to briefly with 2005's #101) and Batgirl , as well as creating the team and book Birds of Prey .

While writing multiple Punisher and Batman comics (and October 1994's Punisher/Batman crossover), he also found time to launch Team 7 for Jim Lee's WildStorm/Image and Prophet for Rob Liefeld's Extreme Studios. He also wrote many issues of Catwoman and Green Arrow , regularly having about seven titles out each and every month between the years 1993 and 1998.

In March, 2002, Dixon turned his attention to CrossGen's output, salthough he co-wrote with Scott Beatty the origin of Barbara Gordon's Batgirl in 2003's Batgirl: Year One. For CrossGen he took over some of the comics of the out-going Mark Waid, taking over Sigil from #21, and Crux with #13. He launched Way of the Rat in June 2002, Brath (March '03), The Silken Ghost (June '03) and the pirate comic El Cazador (Oct '03), as well as editing Robert Rodi's non-Sigilverse The Crossovers. He also wrote the Ruse spin-off Archard's Agents one-shots in January and November '03 and April '04, the last released shortly before CrossGen's complete collapse forced the cancellation of all of its comics, before which Dixon wrote a single issue of Sojourn (May '04). Dixon's Way of the Rat #24, Brath #14 and El Cazador #6 were among the last comics released from the then-bankrupt publisher.

On June 10, 2008, Dixon announced on his forum that he was no longer "employed by DC Comics in any capacity."

When his cousin's son goes missing, Levon is prevailed upon to find him. He starts looking around, like a bull in a china shop, and finds a human trafficking ring. He puts an end to this, in the way only he can.

Told from multiple viewpoints, and all of the viewpoints seem true, real, interesting and exciting.

Highly recommended!

This time Levon is home again finally, and is asked by a disreputable and questionable relative to help find that man's missing son. This gets him involved dealing with a child kidnapping and sex trafficking ring working in the area. Meanwhile, his daughter unwisely wants to go to the local public school, and Levon unwisely agrees. Some troubles arise from that, but not significant ones yet; there are rumblings of trouble in the future, though.

This book went even faster than most of the series so far, its a quick burn read, with some very uncomfortable and sad sections narrating the experiences of boys caught up in the ring.

Very good series

First thing, LEVON CADE IS AWESOME! I am re-reading the series, maybe 4th time? I can't remember how I found it first time except maybe because written by Mr Dixon. But!

If you want gun control, like Obama, Hillary and Biden, DO NOT BUY THESE BOOKS! First, you won't like or understand them. Second, don't need to get into that.

This series is well written, great chatacters, with plots and subplots to keep you guessing. In a way, they remind me a lot of books by William W Johnstone, but not quite as hard right biased.

If you like hard as nails strong characters who strongly believe in family, country and personal honor, take a good look at these. There are large amounts of violence, death and destruction, Levon Cade doesn't take prisoners.

Semper Fi Mr Dixon, thank you!

Hey there, fellow book readers! I am back again with the next Levon Cade book that I missed.

Chuck Dixon has given us the fantastic Levon Cade series, and this is book 8, 'Levon's Home,' a thrilling adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Levon Cade thinks he has finally found peace and happiness with his family, but his past comes back to haunt him when his cousin Teddy shows up at his door. Teddy's son has gone missing, and he begs Levon to help him find him. Levon agrees but soon realizes that this is not an isolated case. There is a sinister network of kidnappers who are targeting young boys, and no one seems to care or do anything about it. Levon decides to take matters into his own hands and wage his own war against the evil forces that are stealing children's lives. Will he be able to save his nephew and the other boys? Will he be able to protect his own family from the dangers he faces? You'll have to read the book to find out!

I loved this book because it shows Levon's character development and struggles to balance his personal life and sense of justice. He is a hero who is not afraid to fight for what is right, but he also has a soft spot for his loved ones. The book is full of action, suspense, and emotion, and it will make you feel like you are part of Levon's journey. Chuck Dixon has done it again: he has created a captivating story that will leave you wanting more. If you are a fan of the Levon Cade series, you don't want to miss this one. And if you haven't read the series yet, what are you waiting for? You won't regret it!

Chuck Dixon gets better as a thriller novelist with every Levon Cade book, and Levon's Home is no exception. Levon's back from his adventures overseas and trying to make a life for himself and his two daughters. Unfortunately, a troubled cousin comes back into his life asking for help in finding his missing boy. This leads Levon to a group of criminals running young boys for pedo's. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing Levon take out a bunch of perverts, but this is a grim book with some grim subject matter, and Dixon pulls no punches with the evil on display here. I've said this in every review, but it remains true here, can't wait to read the next instalment.

As always this is a page turning men's action tale but this time the subject is dark and uncomfortable. It's good to have Levon back home but this time the story is fairly linear with few twists and turns. Also I missed the dual story lines that we get when Levon is away and we follow the troubles of the folks back home. This book hints at future problems for Merry but this is clearly for later books. Still recommended for an involved read.

Levon is back!

Levon is settling down with his family. He’s taking on a favor for a cousin. He relentlessly cuts though evil like a hot knife through butter.
There’s plenty of action here but also character building and deepening of relationships.
Im looking forward to see where the series goes from here.

Keeps upping the ante

The world is a dark place and sometimes doing what’s right isn’t the same as doing what’s legal. This series keeps upping the stakes, but this book takes things to a very dark place. It doesn’t shy away, though, and that honesty comes through in spades. Impossible to put down until the end, and thank god the next book is out because I’m diving right in.

Levon’s Home

A well written story that continues the series in an interesting way. Levon doesn’t go looking for trouble it goes looking for him. He is always pushed by that voice inside to do the right thing.

Chuck Dixon's Levon Cade

A terrific vigilante series that keeps you at the edge of your seat. A vigilante with a sense of "no gray areas". I'm quite pleased to have found this author. Readers, take the time for this series. You won't be disappointed.

Another excellent Levon Cade novel. This time, a request for help from a distant relative has Levon looking into the disappearances of some young boys. Hard subjects are handled delicately and Levon scorches the earth. I love this series!

A fine action story

This is great light reading after reading a serious deep intellectual book. The Levon Cade books are always fun rides. It's like renting an action movie from your favorite mom and pop video rental store. That kind of fun.

Levon’s Home

This book is a different story about Levon Cade. This time the whole story took place in the states. It was different for the hero Levon he was not on a mission authorized by the United States government. It has a different outcome.

Entertaining series

After reading all seven books in this series, it was entertaining. Curious to see if they continue...wondering about the daughter becoming like her father.

Despite difficult reading at times (due to it's Gone Baby Gone content), this is another Home run for Levon.
