Allah Loves
In Allah Loves… Omar Suleiman explores who and what Allah loves so that we may become one of those who are beloved to Him. The Prophet Muhammad said that one of the supplications of Prophet Dawud was, “O Allah I ask You for Your love and the love of those that love You and all of those actions that would bring me closer to being loved by you.” Looking at our actions, characteristics and beliefs, this book will help us become better people, citizens and believers that are deserving of Allah's endless, infinite and ever-lasting love. Made up of 30 short and spiritually enriching chapters, this book is a reminder that throughout our lives, the Creator's love is always there, increasing through everyday actions such as showing generosity or remaining consistent with unnoticeable good deeds.

╰› I cried reading this just about every time I opened it. This is such a good book- 100% recommend 🥹. It eased my heart and brought me to tears thinking about how beautiful Allah and Islam is.

You or Him?”
I’m lost and getting distracted by the temporary joys I find in this dunya. I’m constantly scared and I have no idea what I’m doing anymore. I’m attached to people and materialistic things– Not Allah, the only One I can come back to, even if I sin one thousand times. He's not my priority anymore. I neglect my religion. I’m praying I’m able to grow as a person, and more importantly, a Muslim, this year. I’m scared Allah won’t forgive me, but He’s the Most Merciful and Most Loving. He loves me, and I hope this book will strengthen that belief and make me love Him just as much inshallah.

SUCH a beautiful book, may Allah عزَّوجل bless imam omar suleiman immensely for this work. sometimes it’s so easy to get caught up in certain acts of worship, that is, in the act itself, rather than whom it is for - Allah عزَّوجل. this short but very powerful book was gifted to me by kube publishing via my bookstagram (will reactivate after ramadan) and i’ve just gotten around to reading it and alhamdulilah i’ve really picked it up at such a crucial time in my life. each chapter begins will a quality that Allah عزَّوجل loves: piety, love, beauty, consistency, strength, justice, patience to name a few! the chapter then details why our Lord loves this quality (supported by ahadith and quranic evidence) and then gives practical tips on how to implement this quality in our lives and how this will increase our love for Allah عزَّوجل and His love for us. overall a superb and really heartfelt read. the writing was in true imam omar suleiman style - crystal clear and inspirational. I feel like this is a book to have on hand often and to read often, especially when ones iman takes a dip. I would 100% recommend this to everyone it’s such a heart softener subhanAllah ❤️

I love the author and I love the topic and it is about love… have I included enough love there?
Omar Sulieman’s writing is of a different kind. The whole book is based on the Youtube Ramadan series he did last year (2019) entitled “Allah Loves…”. He writes as if he is speaking to you (us) in such a beautiful manner. The book is very readable and there are so many gems and insights to take from each (very short and sweet) chapter and the book as a whole.
He succinctly explains Quranic verses and Hadiths in a fluent manner amongst the text to refer to situations and tips in order to be amongst those whom Allah loves most. (A side note: of course, Allah loves us all_ we are his creation. However, the aim here is to attain higher and higher ranks of his love and status in Jannah in sha Allah).
The topics range from specific acts of kindness to people to a wider range of qualities to have in our day-to-day activities and worship acts as well. The book covers society, trade, worship acts, parents, effort, angles, personal qualities, character and much more. It is an all-inclusive book which any Muslim can benefit from and make use of. The chapters can be read in any order, but the book does flow; he refers to previous chapters and qualities as he progresses. I personally read it in the order it appeared in.
Most importantly, the book not only allows us to be more loved by Allah, but it also draws us closer to him and makes us love Allah even more!

“Forbearance is when you are particularly patient with people, it’s about patience and holding yourself back. We as believers are taught to be intentional about the things that we do, so we seek to manifest forbearance and deliberation in our personality, in our work and in how we control the environment”.
This book is beautiful and simple. It's comprised of 30 short chapters, each focusing on an attribute that Allah loves, in a very easy and intelligible way. Each chapter covers a deed, act or thing loved by Allah, with references from hadiths and ayahs/verses from the Quran. These are broken down into multiple parts so the reader can understand it better. I love that each chapter ends with a little dua and summary of the main points, and the book was truly just beautiful with many great lessons.
The chapters are spiritually enriching and made me look back at myself, my actions and reflect. I can see myself picking up this book from time to time.
Omar Suleiman does it well.

A beautiful book. I looks small, but very compact book. It looks like it is for younger readers, but it is for all ages. The text and lessons are straight to the point. What I really do like this book it not only talk about the lessons but the misinterpretions of the lessons as well. How people (intentionally or in some cases unintentionally) take the incorrect meaning of the Hadith. I read this is part of a 4 book set. I would love to read the other books in this series as well.

As always, I enjoyed reading this book and revisiting Omar Sulaiman’s Allah Loves series. If nothing else, this book reminds me that the default of our Rabb is love and gentle and subtlety. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.

This was such a peaceful and calming book to read! Omar Suleiman’s writing is clear, gentle, and easy to follow, yet it touches the heart in a deep and meaningful way. I’m definitely planning to read more of his work—and I already know I’ll be coming back to this book again.
In this book, Omar Suleiman explores who and what Allah loves, so that we can try to be among those who are beloved to Him. It’s something I think every Muslim should read at least once, to learn more about people and characteristics that Allah loves. It makes you feel even more love for our religion and for Allah. It’s a beautiful reminder of how even the simplest good deeds can draw us closer to our Creator.
What I loved most was how each chapter ends with a du’a. After explaining the quality that Allah loves, he includes a prayer asking Allah to help us develop that trait in ourselves. It was so beautiful, SubhanAllah🤍

╰┈➤ Ibn al-Qayyim said that “when you fear something, you run away from it, but when you fear Allah, you run back to Him”.
╰┈➤ Umar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz said that “Taqwā isn’t praying long into the night, it isn’t fasting long into the day; it is that you abandon everything that is displeasing to Allah. Everything beyond that is iḥsān, is excellence.”
╰┈➤ Imam al-Ghazālī said something very profound, “The greatest consequence of sin is not the punishment that comes with it, but the distance that comes between you and Allah.”
╰┈➤ Indeed, the greatest way to be loved by Allah is to show we fear losing that love.
╰┈➤ There is no such thing as a sin that can permanently disqualify you from the love of Allah if you repent afterwards and use that to propel yourself towards Him.

But, with Allah, not only does our praising Him bring us closer, but our asking of Him, brings us closer to Him.

Enlightening. A new and refreshing perspective.

“The ability to call upon Allah, knowing that He loves to hear me, despite how broken and sinful I am, in that there is a blessing.”
What kind of servants do Allah like? What is it that pleases Him? These are the two main questions that Imam Omar was trying to provide the answers when he wrote this book. It is written in such subtle, beautiful and easily comprehensible way.
This book containing 30 short spiritually enriching chapters helps me to look back at myself, my actions and deeds today and in the past, and asked “Am I enough? Have I really tried to please my Creator? He have given me so much, but I have not done enough to show Him how grateful I am. I want to be a better Muslim, a better Human”.
As I grew older, I get tired easily, especially at the end of the day. So its hard for me to get up after midnight for tahajud prayers like I used to do more often when I was way younger. Reading chapter Tears and Traces has given me the motivations. “Think about all those times Allah saw you struggling to pray. Maybe you had an injury and praying became harder for you. Those elderly people who pray for the sake of Allah. They shed tears of brokenness and vulnerability. The body shows signs of wear and tear but if it’s for something that is good, Allah sees that and knows that we’re doing that for Him”.
Another lesson learned for me is to be forbearing and delibering especially while facing ignorant people on the internet who are pro-Israel. Its so easy to get angry while trying to prove a point, but its useful to utter something out of haste. “Forbearance is when you are particularly patient with people, it’s about patience and holding yourself back. i decided to watch omar suleiman's ramadan series this year (barzakh: the other side) and i loved it so so much, so when i found out he also has some books, i decided to read one for ramadan as well. the thing i love most about omar suleiman is his storytelling. he always explains things so nicely and gives a lot of examples from Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ time which really helps me grasp the ideas that he presents, as well as ways to implement these things into your life. this book just feels like a conversation and was honestly so enjoyable to read. there are 30 chapters detailing traits that Allah عز وجل loves - hence the name of the book - for each day of ramadan, and each chapter is only 2-3 pages long, so this was a really easy and quick read. and even though most of this i feel is common knowledge, i still learned quite a few things. and now that i know about omar suleiman's books, i'm gonna be saving some for next ramadan ان شاء الله and i already can't wait to read them.

Throughout my reading I realized (actually) how easy it is to gain Allah s.w.t 's love; how things that all this time seem trivial, are actually could allow us to attain the love of Allah s.w.t..

What is it that makes Allah love you? What are those that Allah wants you to do to get His love?
This book is about what Allah loves and how He wants us to be loved. Allah loves everything good. Anything you want to do, there is a proper way in Quran to do it. The ways, described in Quran, are the best ways to do anything and get rewarded.
When you fear something, you run away from it, but when you fear Allah, you run back to Him. And so the fear of Allah is not the kind that would cause you to flee from Him but to come back to Him because that fear is not like the fear of anything else. Taqwā is inadequately understood when defined only in the context of fear.
This book is divided into 30 chapters. Each of the chapters goes through some explanation about what Allah loves and how one should do those to get Allah's love. Most of the things mentioned in this book as Muslims we will have heard many times and some times we may have listened, learned and implemented and other times we may not have paid it much attention. But this book is written so beautifully that it completely changes your perspective on things we've heard our whole lives.

Subhanallah what a beautiful read! this book has rly helped me and reassured me when it comes to the love of Allah and how much He loves us. as an overthinker, a girl who struggles with anxiety and depression, it's easy for me to get trapped with negative thoughts and feelings all the time and honestly it's smthn i've been dealing with for a long time. i've been feeling so much guilt and hatred about myself for my past and even for what i do in my present. this ramadan has been heavy for me if i'm being rly honest. omar suleiman wrote this book beautifully in a way that is easy to read, understand, and learn so much all at once. obviously, i need to apply this into my life and reading this once won't just undo my negative mindset but this book is a great start for me personally. this book made me appreciate and love Allah so much more than i thought possible since i already love Him so much. May Allah forgive us and help us with any challenges we face and to follow the pathways of goodness and follow the attributes that He loves most. Ameen.❤️

Allah loves to be asked. So putting our trust in Him means that we are expressing our love for Him and we are expressing our desire to be nourished and sustained by Him.
The connection of patience to trust is obvious, we can’t be patient with Allah if we don’t trust Him. We can’t be patient with how things are going in life until we understand that there is someone who has control of our life. We are not going to be able to restrain ourselves from acting out unless we have a solid understanding that Allah is acting in a way that is in our best favour.
Beneficial people serve as a vehicle of Allah’s comfort to others in the emotional sense just as they seek that from Allah for themselves.
“Don’t ever be helpless” is about picking ourselves up, trying to grow, trying to be in a position of power both as an individual and as a community.
We should aim to move forward, to serve, to give more in charity and compete in goodness, this sense of taking pride to gain the favour of Allah, is good.
Allah is forbearing with us, Allah tolerates our weaknesses, our wickedness, and Allah does not punish us right away but instead He gives us a chance.
As he was passing away, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, اَلصَّلَاةُ، اَلصَّلَاةُ، وَاستَوصُوا بِالنِّسَاءِ خَيراً, “Your prayer, your prayer and treat your women well.”
"The Prophet used to say that prayer was the coolness of his eyes. Prioritizing prayer in our lives shows that we are prioritizing Allah in our lives."
“Don’t forbid the female servants of Allah from the houses of Allah”
“When two people mutually love each other for Allah’s sake, the one who is stronger in loving will be more beloved by Allah.”
Even if we have committed a major sin, between us and Allah, we should go ahead and show goodness to our mother and see if it is a way of opening that door of pleasure with Allah.

This was so good and informative Alhamdulilah! I learned a lot from it and there’s so much information I wanted to share. One thing that stood out to me about this book was how easy it was to understand. A very common criticism I have of a lot of Islamic books are how inaccessible they are to the average Muslim. This was so easy to understand and learn from, I’d recommend it to even my little sisters. This is definitely a must read for all Muslims, especially during Ramadan

finished this a while back. most of the content is not new to practicing Muslims, so I would say it would serve as a meditative reminder and a welcomed change for reflection.
there were some interesting perspectives; like the one about patience that was really thought provoking for me.

2024 seems to be a promising year for my reading.
Beautiful, short, yet not small, book by Omar Suleiman. It's not the big things actually it's the consistent little things that Allah loves, the things that are not activities but habits, behaviours.
One such thing is to be easy going, gentle, forgiving.
Omar Suleiman has a beautiful way of describing each of the 30 qualities in a very simple and calm tone. May Allah make us, and accept us among his favourites.

I swear Dr. Suleiman is an open heart surgeon, except his specialty is ripping your heart to shreds (very welcomed btw). I truly want to collect all his books because they’re such easy reads that contain limitless value. Can’t wait for the Why Me series to be available in book form, I swear I’m pre-ordering.

This book was so beautiful to read. It is simple, to the point, easy to read and rich in beneficial hadiths. Reading through it gave me a sense of relief. I feel that this is the perfect book for achieving your best self, and improving your relationship with Allah.

Masha'Allah, it was such an inspiring and eye-opening book by Omar Suleiman. Each chapter delves into ways we can enhance our connection to Allah through different facets of life and our personalities. The motivation to be good just for the fact that it would make us Allah's beloved ones, Subhan'Allah.

It was a dear friend of mine that recommended this book to me and I want to do a little Dua for her before leaving my review:
"To my dearest friend may Allah SWT bring you so many blessings in this life. May he shower your heart with the purest of love for him and may he reward you abundantly for sharing this book with me."
This book was so beautifully written and spiritually healing that I can't even put into words how it made me feel whilst reading it.
After finishing this I find that my idea of worship and how I supplicate towards Allah (SWT) has changed for the better. It's very easy to get so caught up in the act of worship and the number of prayers one needs to do that it's easy to forget who it's for and why we're doing it. This book allowed me to reflect on this through 30 healing chapters.
Being a lover girl in this world this book was everything I needed and so much more. My favourite chapter was (of course) about "love" and how Allah has gifted us with love through different manifestations. This chapter is one I see myself gravitating back to especially on those days where one might crave the kind of love she comes across in romance books and films. Thinking about love though Allah and the way that he's put different forms of love into our hearts through friendships, nature, family etc has changed my perspective for the better.
I hope whoever reads this book finds it to be as healing and heartwarming as I did. I hope it motivates you to emulate the qualities of our prophet SAW and to allow you to become more genuine in your worship and be someone that is truly LOVED by Allah SWT 🩷

This book is beautiful, simple and comprehensive. Omar Suleiman has penned down the prime acts that Allah loves for us to do, in a very intelligible way. This book consists of 30 short chapters; each chapter covers a single deed, act or thing loved by Allah. The author has used different hadiths and ayahs/verses from the Quran and broken them down into multiple parts so the readers can better understand the meaning and message of those hadiths or ayahs. A very phenomenal book with great lessons. May Allah make us amongst his most beloved people Ameen 🌟

It's a good book to ponder upon and to strengthen our iman towards Allah, I purposely chose to read this book in conjuction of the coming month of Ramadhan. As muslims, of course we believe in Allah but how strong is the believe and love is ? Loving Allah is not limited by spiritual only, but it has to transcend above our deeds and actions. Allah loves us and show mercy upon us regardless of our previous sins as long as we never cease to repent. We ask Allah to make us among the ones He bestow mercy upon and that we become among those who strive to earn His Love. This book serves as a good reminder, a little too short read for me, as I wished it to be longer.

I really enjoyed this book. This read was divided into 30 chapters, which I did not know before I started reading, but I realized it would make for a good Ramadan reading. When I read each chapter, I realized that the advice given could be easily implemented by almost anybody who wanted to improve themselves. It is as much about what Allah loves as it is what we love about Allah (SWT).
It’s a pleasant read - highly recommend.
