Dylan I’m the crown prince of Villroy, but instead of taking the king’s throne like I should have, my father got us all exiled. I’d complain, but he had good reason. Now our once royal family lives in Brooklyn, and I’m about to inherit a new kingdom: my uncle’s construction business. It’s an opportunity to build my real estate empire and make something of myself. All I need is an experienced person to help take it to the next level. And then the girl who grew up next door to me—all woman now—shows up with just the business experience I need.
Too bad Ariana Bianchi hates me. I used to think it was undeserved—fallout from our families’ longtime feud—but there was this one time…
Ariana I’m newly divorced and crashing at my parents’ house until I can get my life on track for my ultimate goal of having a baby with the help of a sperm bank. It’s the reason for my divorce—he didn’t want kids—and at thirty-one the clock is ticking. So when the gorgeous pig of a man, Dylan Rourke, shows up at my parents’ house to ask me to work as a consultant for his company, I see an opportunity. He wants something from me? Yeah, well, I want something in return, too.
Only Dylan makes this way more complicated than it needs to be.

Kylie Gilmore continues her Rourkes series with Rogue Prince, a royal romantic comedy about the oldest New York Rourke and the girl he thought had gotten away.
Dylan Rourke has royal blood, but he’s about to inherit a very different kind of kingdom. His uncle’s construction company, with its very own challenges, responsibilities and expectations. That’s ok though because he has his brothers as co-owners to help out. Yet, if he wants to expand and branch out, he’ll need added help. Fortunately his next door neighbor just moved back. Unfortunately, she might hate his guts.
After reassessing her priorities, Ariana Bianchi is back in Brooklyn and is certain of several things. She’s thirty-one-year-old divorcee who needs a job, wants a baby and clock is ticking. Two, Dylan Rourke might just be the answer to all of the above.
Kylie pens a fun and flirty lighthearted story full of great banter, a sassy and determined heroine, a very loyal and charming hero with a, touching moments and hot sexy times.
Both Ariana and Dylan are equally delightful characters. Their back story drew me in and kept me turning pages. I LOVED Ariana’s mother. I could practically picture her as the epitome of a New Yorker and revisiting King Gabriel and Queen Anna was lovely.
Rogue Prince is book #7 of the Rourkes series by Kylie Gilmore. It’s a standalone, enemies to lovers romance, told from both points of view with a happy ending.

So excited we have a continuation of the Rourkes!! Kylie rocked this beautiful love story between Dylan Rourke and Ariana Bianchi! When these two connected as teenagers they could not handle the connection that was there. Once Ariana came back home to live, that connection clicked right back in and they were in separable!! I loved the back and forth between these two and the love scenes were extremely hot!! Very happy to see the Villroy Rourkes reuniting with the Brooklyn side of the family and hopefully they will be in all the stories and connecting in each of the brothers books!! Don't hesitate to start at book 1 and consume the whole story or start with Dylan because each book is a stand alone story!!
This is a great start to the spin off series from the royal Rourkes. We get to meet the Brooklyn cousins and it's not disappointing. The banter and verbal sparring between the brothers was so amusing. The chemistry between Ariana and Dylan sizzles from the start and the love scenes were steaming hot. My only criticism at all was that I didn't find it believable for Dylan to rush into the relationship as quick as he did.The bickering mother's were so funny. We get to know more about Daniel in this book, the man who should have been king of Villroy if he hadn't abdicated for love. I really enjoyed the book , It's pure escapism at it's best.
Romance trope: second chance Series: The Rourkes Length: 169 pages
Plot: Ariana is back home after a divorce and she wants a baby. Her neighbor (and one-time "suitor") might just be the person who could deliver. He wants another chance with her and she's not immune to his charms.
Commentary: I did feel like the conversations around them getting together were simultaneously endearing and weird. I liked that they were so comfortable with each other after the initial awkwardness, but it did sound like they were both, "sure, this could work, why not, I like you well enough." I think they fell in love by the end, but it was so iffy up until then. Seemed like it anyways. Really, I just want to know what happened to the serving spoon.
Rough around the edges scores a regal beginning and rides shotgun into your heart. Gilmore is back with an all new branch of royal heartthrobs. This time on the other side of the pond. Rogue Prince is less formal and all heart. Dylan is the man who should be king. Ariana is the woman he can't forget. Though the past has not always been kind to these childhood nemeses, can the present bring them everything they've been searching for? Be ready to laugh, sizzle and smile because Dylan and Ariana are only one click away.
Ariana Bianchi thought she had it all, an awesome job, a loving husband, and a nice house...until she didn’t. Ariana wanted kids and her husband didn’t—at least not with her. After divorcing, Ariana returns home to figure out her life. The one thing she knows for certain is she wants kids. As soon as she finds a job and a place to live, Ariana is heading to the sperm bank! That is until she runs into her mortal enemy—Dylan.
Dylan Rouke, aka Crown Prince of Villroy, is about to become CEO of his uncle’s construction business. While he will become CEO, the business will belong to he and his brothers equally. While it’s successful, Dylan wants to breathe new life into the business by adding a real estate venture. Dylan wants to rejuvenate Brooklyn and give back to the community by adding playgrounds or community centers for the children. He convinces his brothers to work with him in this venture, but he needs to find funding. His dad, who was exiled from Villroy for marrying a commoner, wants him to ask his cousin and current King of Villroy for the money. Dylan wants to find another way as it doesn’t feel right. When he discovers Ariana’s background in real estate can help him reach his goal, he offers to hire her as a consultant. Only she has a request of her own...
I loved the Hatfield and McCoy feel to the story! Hilarious! If I had a mother like Ariana’s I’d HIDE! She’s what I envision as a true New Yorker! She almost steals the show with her antics. The sidewalk “chats” with Dylan’s mom, even though they were mortal enemies, were priceless! I enjoyed revisiting King Gabriel and Queen Anna. Mila was an absolute doll and PopPop—hugs! This was an EXCELLENT enemies to more story, a true fairy tale! I highly recommend this novel and can’t wait to read the rest of the series. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
Well, this certainly switches things up! The Rourkes of Villroy are old-school monarchy, ruling over their island kingdom for centuries. The new generation of Rourkes is determined to revive the economy and modernize (a bit) the traditions for their subjects. Meanwhile, back on another island…. Well it’s back to the tip of an island, known as Long Island, where there is another Rourke family ruling over their domain. It is “across the pond” from Villroy, and these are the exiled Rourkes, created when Crown Prince <> of Villroy gave up the crown for love and emigrated to America. Eldest son Dylan Rourke should have been the Villroy Crown Prince, but instead he is getting ready to take over his uncle’s construction business and become a real estate mogul as well. It’s all good, until Ariana Bianchi shows up back home…. Oh boy, this one was a fun ride! See, Ariana and Dylan have a history as neighbors turned frenemies but with Dylan needing someone with experience with marketing real estate and Ariana looking to have a baby – well, let the games begin! I am loving these Rourkes of Brooklyn. They are just as hard-working, loyal, and gorgeous like the Rourkes on Villroy, but with dirt under their nails and a thick Brooklyn accent. Dylan was easy to fall in love with, and Ariana? Who doesn’t love a sassy heroine who is smart and no pushover! This author knows how to make her characters come alive on the pages – her spot-on writing made Ariana and Dylan’s chemistry flame up off the charts. Add in a bunch more of handsome Rourkes, stir up a long-time ugly neighbor feud (where is that silver serving spoon?) and a pinch of Villroy Royalty for the perfect mix of romance, steam, and smiles!
Meine Leseempfehlung!-SandraFritz-magicmouse
This enemies to lovers story has bold characters, sarcasm, and humor. It is sweet and sexy. I could almost hear the characters talking as I got lost in their story. This is the first book of the series I have read, and although it’s actually the 7th in the series, I didn’t feel like I was missing anything. The author was able to provide background story without taking away from the story at hand. The character development happened throughout the book, rather than all in the beginning, allowing a fast paced immersive story while still letting me get to know and love the characters. I’ll be going back to read the rest!
Funny how things work out at the end. It started by a daring request from a shy girl to her prince in disguise to take her virginity. Little she knew he was a real prince and the experience will mark her forever. Many years later, after an agreeable divorce, that turned painful once she realized what a douche her ex husband truly was, they met again. They had a second chance to make that long ago brief affair a reality and they jump at the opportunity. All fences were mended, family of commoners and royalty are united. The circle is completed. Light and funny, uplifting love story, reading it was a total blast.
5 stelle
The Rourke saga continues with the adventures of the Rourke cousins finding love and becoming intertwined with the nine exiled Rourkes. Because I just read down the series list at this point I didn’t realize this was a “I want a baby and I want one now book” which is not my thing at all. But, the focuses is on building a relationship before the baby, having hit sex and navigating a massive family that won’t stop butting in so it all balanced out for me in the end. If you haven’t read the Rourkes yet this is a great starting point as there’s only spoilers for the first book here for the most part.
Wow. I've enjoyed almost every book in Kylie Gilmore's book in The Rourkes series, but this one has to be one of, if not, my top favorite. In this installment, we follow Dylan Rourke, technically being the oldest Rourke heir, he and his brothers are very different from the other Rourke children we've previously followed because their father was the elder brother of the late King, Gabriel's father. Years ago he chose to marry Dylan's mother who is a commoner, however; choosing to marry for love meant giving up his and his children's right to the crown and moved to America. I thought the couple in this book had great chemistry and I laughed out loud throughout the whole book.
Dylan and Ariana's book was really good! When Ariana returns home after her divorce and she sees Dylan and realizes that he could be the perfect solution to her problem. Only problem is Dylan wants to be hands on and in Ariana's life. Dylan gets her to agree to a two month arrangement to see if they are compatible. Dylan let Ariana slip away when she went to college, but he won't let that happen again. The feud between the two mothers was funny.
Kylie Gilmore knows how to write a great book and Rogue Prince is definitely a GREAT read! I have loved all The Rourkes series books and can't wait to read more! Rogue Prince is a wonderful love story with sizzling chemistry, crazy honest meddling mothers and true life struggles. This is a MUST read!
Funny, hot and even has good story too. Enjoyed the read that was fast paced and interesting. Never be afraid of what you want when it is so right. A great cozy read for the cold evenings.
This is the first in the series I’ve read and loved this story. The rogue prince is swoon worthy and his soon to be bride is strong and independent. They both have history to overcome. The story and how they get together is unique. I will read more in the series.
A sweet romance! In a very modern setting two neighbors start there young lives as the ballerina and the boy next door. Stir in two moms who don't trust each other and a love story begins. You have to give this one a chance and you can't miss! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!
I completely enjoyed this book. Sweet, alpha Dylan and Ariana belong to each other from the start. The banter between family members ( especially the Moms) makes it all the more fun.
Funny, interesting, quirky, and a lot of great conflicts and resolutions. This is Dylan's story, the oldest son of the Rourkes. Ariana has a fun story too, and a long-time interest in Dylan. Standalone but part of a series. HEA.
A real prince, a Brooklyn family.. make that 2 Brooklyn families and lots of interesting scenarios. Some places were laugh out loud, others too steamy.
