Bro. Gibson's approach to this topic was balanced, practical, and most of all, Scriptural. Instead of focusing on specific standards, the author taught principles that anybody could take and use to establish Biblically-based standards in their own life. I highly recommend this book!

Clear and easy read.
He never once told you what to think, just presented you with a solution to what many Christians struggle with.
It’s up to you to define where your standards fall. This is a tool to help guide your thought processes.

The 2nd to last line of the book says, “God did not want Israel to be like all other nations”. He also does not want Christians to be like the world. The struggle is that when we establish standards to be different that are not based on Bible doctrines, we can become critical of others choices. The book does a great job of describing the path of doctrines>general standards>specific standards>directional standards. Everything is based upon Gods Word instead of our ideas. Quick read and very helpful as we try and live up to Gods standard with a mindset of showing His love at the same time.
