A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Twenty years later, she started scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend dragged her to a local writers’ meeting. After winning multiple writing contests and making the finals in the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart contest, she now spends her days, and nights, writing contemporary romantic fiction with lots of emotion, plenty of surprises, and, of course, the happily ever after.

Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

With the release of Rose, Chris Keniston has hit six for six in the Hart Land series. Rose, the novel, is warm and sweet while the woman Rose is sharp and smart, and sweet. She has returned to Hart Land to help with the Fishing Tournament and Auction Fundraiser for Cindy's wildlife rehab project.
Fishing is not exactly her thing, but she manages to hook a guy before the tourney even starts. Yes, of course I mean that literally. Just as with all the other Hart Land couples, it is a blast to watch the relationship between Rose and Logan grow. There is something so special about that place and the people who think of it as home. Once again, we see hints that the grandparents are doing some subtle matchmaking and more hints that there is a major issue haunting the senior couple.
For the most part, Rose is a kick your feet up, relax, and enjoy it kind of book, but there are a couple of tense moments to ensure that you can't forget your most recent journey to Hart Land.
New comers as well as fans of the series will find equal delight in this 6th book of the Hart Land series, a perfect read for fans of Debbie Macomber and Sherryl Wood.

Rose (Hart Land Book 6) by: Chris Keniston

The Hart family has so much to offer. They love hard, laugh endlessly and are 5 for 5. When the wrong match turns out to be a perfect fit, how can any heart not fall in love. Keniston gets right to the heart of the matter with light and breezy romance. Rose can be a little rough around the edges, but that's just part of her charm. Though not always a heavenly match, Keniston makes sure the emotions get there. With a ton of laughs and never ending heart, Logan and Rose make irresistible look easy.

Rose: Hart Land Book 7 is by Chris Keniston. Rose is the manager of a museum in Boston. She also puts on fundraisers and “XMb with the best of the high society people in Boston. However, she also fits in just as well in the Hart family when at the lake.
Although she has put on many fundraisers, this one is definitely different. She has come home to Hart Land to put on a fishing tournament and auction. She hates to fish. The General, her grandfather, had tired to get her interested in fishing; but she didn’t take to any part of it. Now, she had to officially weigh the catches and determine the winner. Then came the part she understood so well, the auction. However, she would do it with pride and attention to detail and enjoy it because it was for the General.
Logan Buchanan needed some time off work as he tended to work too many long hours. He would not have chosen to go to the fishing tournament; but his grandfather wanted to attend this tournament held by his old friend General Hart. Logan could spend time with his Gandfather and gets ready to go. Just as they were leaving, his Grandmother asked his Grandfather to go to a doctor appointment with her. Totally understanding, Logan went to the Hart tournament alone.
The two are thrown together until they get to know each and realize they are having fun together at the tournament. Will they get together or will the secret he is keeping tear them apart.

Rose, (Heartland Book 6), was such a good read. I love these books, there is always a good romance going on and it’s all clean. There is much fun and laughter and genuine family time. How could you not love Chris Kenniston’s penmanship.

Loved the ending.

Lots of fun in this one. As far as I’m concerned, skip the fishing, but everything else was fun. I’d rather play Amanda Lee’s version of fishing.

If you don't like fishing its best not to be convinced to go fishing but on the other hand you could land yourself a HEA

Another excellent read!

You can't help but fall in love with this story, the realness of the characters and the depth of their personalities. The town, the people, the laugh out loud moments and that little bit of suspense thrown in keeps me coming back to read more! I love this series.

Great series

I enjoy a light romance. Books 1-6 were worth reading. These books have well written character without crude language and raw sex. I can’t wait for book 7

Rose by Chris Keniston is the sixth book in a brand new series Hart Land. The series is based on the small town of Lawford (in NH) with the General (Harold Hart) and his wife, Fiona. They have nine single granddaughters who one by one will find their own love. Lucy the housekeeper is bound and determined to be matching them all up, but she is an accident waiting to happen. The General and Fiona run a small hospitality business with cabins, with their house full of people and laughter.

Rose could organize anyone or anything. She is helping run the fishing tournament to help raise money for the Wildlife Center. Her grandfather tries to teach her how to cast and she catches a man (a fisherman who was fishing nearby). Logan is pulled into the water with Rose pulling in her catch, not expecting what she caught. Logan is an IT guy who develops software. He loves fishing and thought he would be there with his grandfather, which fell through, but he is determined to enjoy the tournament. And then Rose “catches” him.

I found the story of Rose and Logan to be the best one yet. I laughed so hard at the opening scene where Rose and Logan met each other. I think that each story seems to get better and better with the inclusion of the town and the cousins. Chris Keniston’s books are sweet and fun love stories that warm your heart and lighten your soul. Rose is my favorite of the Hart Land series so far.

Every addition to this series just gets better and better! With Chris Keniston's witty writing style, kind-hearted characters, and dramatic twists I was on the edge of my seat to the end!

It seems retired Marine Corps General Harold Hart is determined to see his nine granddaughters happily married, and with several cohorts, each one is quickly finding her forever match.

Art curator Rose is back at the family summer home helping her cousin with an auction event and fishing competition to fund her nature preserve. Even though fishing is one sport Rose dislikes immensely it seems her first trip on the lake she hooks more than she expected.

Logan Buchanan had hoped to spend several days fishing with the grandfather he loves and misses but an unexpected change of plans has Logan arriving on Lawford Mountain for a fishing tournament alone. Meeting the General's feisty red headed granddaughter Rose is helping things to look up already. As the two find themselves inexplicably thrown together a friendship grows quicker than either can understand. When a disaster forces everyone to come together, putting lives on the line, so much more than friendship is realized.

I received an ARC and voluntarily offer this review.

Who knew a charity fishing tournament could be so much fun! Rose has taken time off from her job in Boston to help with a fundraiser her family is involved in. Logan flew up from Texas to join his grandfather for the fishing tournament. Of course, he happens to be a buddy of the General’s so he finds an excuse to stay away. Logan & Rose find a chemistry & an attraction the pulls them closer together. Will they find away to stay together?

This story has all of the feels! Family love & togetherness, instant attraction, friendship, fear & danger. With this draw everyone together or split them apart? Ms. Keniston brings her witty prose, sarcasm & character development to another story set in Hart Land. Each of the granddaughters has her own distinct personality & the men they are attracted to are perfect for them. The General is as efficient at setting up his granddaughters romances as he was directing his troops. I can’t wait for the next story!

This is the story of the General’s granddaughter Rose. Rose is taking off from the museum where she works in Boston to help with the fishing contest. Rose is a super organized person who has no love of fishing. There is a funny scene in the book with Rose trying to fish with her grandfather. Logan is from Texas and is coming to the fishing tournament to be with his retired general grandfather. I think it was funny that Logan was a computer geek who was also a handsome cowboy that knows his way around fishing. He and Rose are attracted to each other, and I enjoyed reading about their time getting to know each other. As always I like catching up with characters from the past books. There is also a scene that kept me on the edge of my seat to see how it worked out. I encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

Rose is the latest Hart Land series book by Chris Keniston. I’ve enjoyed the series, especially how the General and his wife Fiona manage to find mates for their granddaughters without them figuring that out. This time the General has asked Rose to help with a fishing tournament and the General’s military buddy has asked his grandson Logan to join him in attending the tournament. Of course things happen. Logan and Rose meet and the spark is lit. What a sweet and happy story this is. I enjoyed it and seeing Logan and Rose’s love story unfold. The ending was really exciting so if you like a warm and sweet love story, then this is for you .

Rose is taking a short break from her museum curator job to help organize her family's fishing tournament. Logan, a software developer, travels to Hart Land to fish and spend time with his grandfather at the tournament. Their first meeting between Rose and Logan is surprising for both of them. Now that Logan's grandfather isn't able to come to the tournament, Logan has another reason to stay. I received a free copy of this book from the author. I love this book and series. Hart Land is a place that I would love to go to on vacation. The romance between Rose and Logan builds slowly and is very sweet. This is a wonderful read. I look forward to the next book in the series.

I think Rose is my new favorite! As we’ve established, the General & Miss Fiona’s granddaughters rally whenever needed! And as we’ve established, the General has a long list of military service buddies who have single grandsons!
Logan & Rose meet at Hart Land - he coming in from Texas, she from Boston. Family, fishing, and floods all serve to bring about a HEA. This was a warm, upbeat story guaranteed to whet your appetite for the next flower to blossom.

Anyone reading a Chris Keniston novel expects characters that make you feel like you know them personally. Her gift at drawing you in and taking you on a journey continues to “wow” me. It’s like listening to close friends tell you the stories of how they met their special someones’. It’s what readers of romance adore about the genre, but what consistently amazes me is how many “stories” she has inside her!

Chris Keniston added another great story to the Hart Land series. Rose is a very sweet romance that keeps the reader engaged from start to end. Absolutely loved reading about the other characters in the town and the interactions between everyone. The main characters are very sweet with each other with just a hint of romance thrown in to add to this wonderful story. Highly recommend this story and the entire series.
