Trust no one.” “Watch yo front and yo back.” “Snitches get ditches.” “Don’t let everyone know your moves.” “Everyone in your circle is not your friend.” “Be ready for anything because anything goes.”
These are codes that you live by while being fully active in the streets. Loyalty is a word that gets thrown around a lot, but how often is the definition of the word truly lived out?
For Dallas and Chinks and Neysa and Ocean, loyalty between them is undeniable, at least, that’s what they believe. With each couple, Dallas and Neysa are best friends while Chinks and Ocean are each other’s right hand. There’s nothing that they won’t do for each other, including lying, stealing, and murdering. But everything is not what they seem. The couples learn that the ones that claim to love you the most and are the realest can also be the ones that hurt you the most, causing irrevocable and permanent damage. When other friendlies are introduced into the relationships, who is really loyal and who can be trusted come into focus, revealing camouflage snakes in the human form.
When hard-core truths are bared and blinders are taken off, you’ll be ready to open up a can of whoop ass on some of these characters. Patrice will have your head on a swivel and needing a chiropractor after all the twists and ultimate betrayal are exposed in her blazing new standalone, The Ultimate Hood Betrayal. In this story, all of the rules of the streets are thrown out, leaving people to pick up the pieces, starting over, and making new rules.
This is the first time I have read a book by this author... This book starts out pretty interesting... It definitely caught my attention in the beginning and pulled me little by little... The build up is a little slow... At times it feels a little all over the place... And a little choppy... It was not a smooth flow to me... There are a lot of errors that kind if pull away from the storyline... And by the end I felt a little lost... I know this is a standalone... But I feel like I am left hanging... Because I have a few unanswered questions... Although I had these problems with this book... I did enjoy the storyline... I like Dallas she has a good head on her shoulders... She is a tattoo artist... but of course she ends up with a no good man... her husband Chinks... But she has an amazing best friend Neysa... And she has her business... I love that she is not dependent on a man to take care of her and she is not caught up in her husbands street dealing... That was the smartest thing that she could have done... And look at where it got her... I like Nysa and that she also has a pretty good head on her shoulder... She is a doctor... But she ends up also with a man that does not deserve her and that is Ocean... So when the right man comes into her view... She has no idea how much it will change her life... Then we have the two no good men... Chinks and Ocean... I mean come on they could have been better men... They had great women and did not appreciate them like they should have... They were all out here making all these mistakes... Now look at where that landed them... I am like if you are man enough why do you need to try to bring your woman down with you... A real man will try to protect their woman and keep them as far away from what they are doing as possible... But as we can see... They weren't about nothing... Now for Trinity and Shonnie... There was always something a little off about them to me... I just could not put my finger on it at first.. But I quickly started putting the puzzle together... Now I am like wow... With people like this trying to act like your friend... what do you need enemies for... Overall... This book was a little rushed to close out... Although it had a few problems with this book... I did enjoy the storyline itself... I will definitely give this author another try...
All I can say is Wow! I'm so glad that Gets a & Dallas came out in top. Ocean blew my mind, he had Neysas parents killed to try to save his self but snitches get stitches. That was so dirty, I knew Jayson knew something even tho I didn't know what it was. Dallas was smart so she came out cool and Jayson helped Neysa not get caught up in they shit. Chinks & Trinity doing life and Ocean got taken care of. Wow! This was such a trip but a good story.
Girrrrl you did not disappoint one bit ! Trinity bald head ass deserve exactly what she got. I felt so bad for Dallas but it goes to show how strong is women really are. Ocean definitely surprised I just knew he was going to have a side chick but he had a whole other life. I’m glad Neysa was able to get a second chance at love she deserved it. Overall this book was EVERYTHING ‼️
This book was so good. You really have to watch the company you keep. So glad Dallas and her bff made it though and found happiness. Who would have ever thought Ocean was a snake. Chinks deserved everything that happened to him, now he wanna be a better man for Dallas. Trinity was a snake, had the girls feeling sorry for her and she had her own motive. What ever happened to the other girl??.. She deserves donating to happen to her snake ass too.
Whew chile….. mannnnnn Dallas is a thug lol. Baby she showed how a boss handles business. Trinity and Chinks was just TRIFLIN smh and both got what they deserved. Shonnie was fake and stupid. Neysa I’m so happy she found her true happiness and Hah was there for her after being with a dirty rat like Ocean. Patrice you definitely did it again, this was another great read from one of my favorite authors
Good book. It goes to show how far some females would go to pretend. I didn’t expect Shonnie to be in agreement with what Trinity was doing cuz they all was friends, so for her to be like it is what it is NAW. I wanted to see what she would say if confronted by Dallas. Instead of Dallas telling the story on what happen to Trinity & Chinks in the end I would’ve like to hear it thru them. Over all I liked it.
They say karma is a b!tch! And revenge is a dish best served cold. Chinks and trinity got what they deserved. Ocean ass too. Happy that Dallas and neysa got they happy ending. For shonnie to know from they beginning how foul and flaw trinity and chinks was and go along with it was bogus asf. Her flaw ass
I have this 5 stars because it is well worth it. Such a great twist with Chinks and Trinity, I didn't put it together that they knew each other before, oh what a tangled web we weave when we first try and deceive. All ended very we everyone got what they deserved.
This Was A Great Book. It Was So Much Betrayal...Chinks Was So Scandalous. You Gotta Be A Bold Mf To Cheat On Yo Wife...Get The Chick Pregnant And Have Her Befriend Yo Wife...Like That's Crazy. Ocean Was Scandalous Too & A Snitch. He Straight Killed His Girl Parents Cause He Was A Snitch And Was About To Be Busted. I Loved This Book ❤❤❤
Man listen the title is definitely what it was this was good, I will say I fell it wad a little rushed towards the end but it's a stand-alone so I get it and it didn't take from the story a good one too! There was so many betrayals I was like GOT y'all know!
Wow, I definitely did not expect the twists and turns that took place in this book! Trinity and Chunk got the karma they deserved. So glad Dallas stood strong. Wish there was a part two. Good job!
Very different storyline but most definitely amazing!!! Betrayal will get you nothing but a ticket to meet karma😁😁😁Really enjoyed this..Glad everyone got exactly what they deserved😁😁😁Amazing Job!!
This story was crazy wild! Trinity had me fooled lol Chink is something else to ask Dallas to work on them he gave a life sentence, like what lol I definitely enjoyed this book and recommend.
Ugh, the book started good and then at about 19% died and didn't come back until 70%. Way too much and it took away from the story and all the crossing of every one was a drain, I am happy for Dallas in the end.
So that Bish and that Ninja got exactly what the fuck they should've got. Low down dirty muthas. Shonnie needs her ass beat too. I'm glad that Dallas and Neysa got their happy ending..... Great Read ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This book was a page turner! It was so good with the right mix of drama, betrayal, and suspense. I loved the characters and some of them after out of character, lol! Truly enjoyable read.
Oh my ! What a good read this was ! Everything that happened, you didn’t see it coming. Everyone was with the wrong person. The one that really shocked me was Ocean! Hmm ! Hmm! Trinity finally has the baby she always wanted, but it got taken from her. KARMA always get yo
Wow, this story was so good! Never read anything by this author but won’t be the last! Dallas was a low down dog and Trinity was a snake! Glad they got what was coming to them! I can’t believe Neysa would jeopardize her livelihood! So, good that I wish it had a part two!
Those were some deep secrets omg I cant believe ocean the reason why her parents not there and trinity and chink ain't no good that's messed up this was a good book
The story was good. But not well written. The author needs to understand that not all words are written as they sound. Too many misspelled words. Nice try
