Sometimes, knowing the name of your soulmate is more trouble than it’s worth. That’s how Connor Lewis feels when photographs of his soulmark get published.
The hockey fans go crazy. Every Ashley in the Madison area is wild to convince Connor that she’s the one. All Connor wants to do is focus on his game.
Ashley Walton isn’t looking for a soulmate. She wants a relationship based on something real.
That makes her perfect for what Connor has planned. He asks if she’ll pretend to be his girlfriend, on the understanding that it’s just until the media frenzy dies down.
They expect it to be a few months, at most. Ashley’s really more interested in learning from the Howlers’ PR team than she is in Connor.
At least at first.
Everything about their ‘relationship’ is a show staged for the press. Except, Connor spends every waking moment with Ashley on the brain. Finding out she wants to move miles away for her dream job hits him like a body-slam into the boards.
The closer they get, the more Connor is willing to risk to keep Ashley at his side. Falling in love wasn’t in their game plan, so Connor takes matters into his own hands...
3.5 Stars Do you believe in soulmates? What if your soulmate’s name was printed on your body at an early age? Would you want to keep it hidden or let the world know. Is there pressure to find your soulmate? What if it’s a common name like Ashley or Connor.? That’s the situation our main characters face. Since Connor is a famous NHL player, everyone wants to know what name he has kept hidden. An accidental reveal causes him to get a fake girlfriend coincidentally named Ashley. It’s a great idea. Ashley doesn’t believe in soulmates per se. she can concentrate on her career and he can focus on his until feelings get in the way. Cute story with a unique concept.

In the world where this story takes place, the name of peoples soulmate's magically appear somewhere on their skin. When hockey star, Connor Lewis, is photographed with his soulmates name exposed, every Ashley thinks she is the one. Connor asks Ashley Walton to be his pretend girlfriend, so he can focus on hockey.
I thought the soulmate concept of the story was interesting. It led to some thought-provoking scenarios in the novel. I liked Connor and Ashley. They had different viewpoints about soulmates. I enjoyed how they got to know each other. They faced challenges and grew through the story.
Camellia Tate did a nice job with this story. Game Plan made a great foundation for the Madison Howlers series. I am interested in continuing to follow this series. I recommend Game Plan to people who enjoy sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader's copy of this book.
Wasn’t sure about this one. Soulmates names printed on everyone at an early age. But went for it and was really surprised that I liked it as much as I did.
Connor soulmate’s name was Ashley which was accidentally revealed to the press when they were doing a press conference after a hockey win. Connor wanting to be alone went to a dinner and of course found out that the waitress was Ashley and her soulmate’s name was Connor. In order to get all the other Ashley’s to leave him alone, they started a fake relationship.
This was my first time reading this author and I really enjoyed this book. It's the story of true soulmates. Everyone wears a soulmate mark, their soulmates name written on their skin. Connors name on his skin is Ashley and being a hockey player all the fans with the name Ashley want to be his. He makes a plan with Ashley to be his fake girl friend to get rid of the press and the crazy fans. Ashley thinks it will help her with her Masters in PR. They grow together and start having real feelings for one another when Connor makes a decision for Ashley behind her back. Will this decision break them up? Will Ashley be able to get beyond it? These are questions you need to read the book to find out. They decided that if they were soulmates it was because they were good for each other. Their names matched but it didn't have to define them. I loved Connor and Ashley, what started out as fake soulmates grew into true love

I'm not really sure what to think. This book isn't what I thought it was gonna be. I had a hard time getting though and finishing this book and not a series I would continue with. First being the soulmate and being marked with their names on each other's body. To me this was just weird. A fantasy for sure. Second Connor comes off as an idiot. He's a player for the NHL but doesn't seem to understand much other than hockey. Ashley is working on her Master's in PR and agrees to help Connor. She's very smart and has to explain things to Connor. I'm still shaking my head over this book. I have read a couple of Camellia's other books and have enjoyed them, but this was a waste. Sorry.
Just the absolute best story. It had me captivated from the beginning with the hot steamy scenes. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Everything I like to read about and more. Such a great story I will read again and again. A keeper!!
