कारा एउटा बन्धनको कथा हो । महिला कैदीहरूले भोगेको भौतिक कारागारको मात्रै बन्धन होइन, समाजले उनीहरूलाई लगाएका अनेक बन्धनको कथा यसमा छ । निरङ्कुश पञ्चायती व्यवस्थाविरुद्ध प्रजातन्त्र प्राप्तिका लागि २०४६ मा जनआन्दोलन सुरू भएको समयको सेरोफेरोको कथा भन्ने यो उपन्यास जेलभित्रको बेग्लै निरङ्कुशताको कथा पनि हो । समाजले परित्याग गरेका, देशका लागि हानिकारक भनेर जेलमा सडाइएका उपेक्षित महिलाहरूको दुःख र वेदनाको कथा हो । बेकसुरलाई कसुरदार बनाउने र कसुरदारलाई अझै असुर बनाउने व्यवस्थामा केही निरीह महिलाहरूले भोगेको लामो ताडना र यातनाको गाथा हो- कारा ।

Sushila Karki is the current interim prime minister of Nepal since 12 September 2025, following the Gen Z protests. She is the first woman to head the Government of Nepal. Karki previously served as the chief justice of the Supreme Court of Nepal from 11 July 2016 to 6 June 2017, becoming the first woman to hold that office. She has authorized two books.
