I am fertile, and because I am fertile I am hunted.
The men who hunt me were always brutes, but now lust makes them barely more than beasts.
When they catch me, I know what comes next.
I will fight, but my need to be bred is just as strong as theirs is to breed. When they strip me, punish me, and use me the way I'm meant to be used, my screams will be the screams of climax.
Publisher's Note:Fertile includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.
This one didn't do much for me. The beginning is a series of info-dumps about the fall of western civilisation and how the alpha/omega dynamic came to be in this post-apocalyptic setting. I slogged through it to get to the story but it really killed the pace and prevented me from connecting with the POV characters. With the two POV characters themselves, there's tons of telling rather than showing to build their characters - he's a former doctor who was noble but has fallen; she's an American princess in hiding after the collapse of democracy. I never felt like I knew either of them or what was driving them. There's insta-lust and kinky alpha/omega discipline, but it was somewhat bland. The sex scenes are typical RH and there wasn't any emotional depth to them. The three other men in the reverse harem are pretty interchangeable - I didn't get much sense of them other than their hair color and single defining characteristic - and I never felt like the heroine connected with them in any way other than sex. I will read other books by this author because I've liked her stories in the past, but this one didn't do it for me.
Well, I read it. I liked the idea of it. There's an effort here to have a larger story but it kind of falls flat at the end. It takes most of the book to gather the intrigue and then it's over. The involvement of the additional men (sexually) seems unnecessary and doesn't add to the story (IMHO). Maybe I'm a fuddy-duddy. Plus the title doesn't well represent the true story here.
The author outdid herself with the detailed descriptions in this post apocalyptic omegaverse story. I love the characters! Each one has their own unique backstory and personality, but together they become a whole that works. The intrigue of the background politics and the alphas who believe they deserve more, add a flare to the story that increased the intensity and my enjoyment. This book was an amazing read and I would love to see more stories from this world.
This book is pacey, I liked the characters and there is plenty of plot as well as the usual super steamy 'romance' that you would expect from Piper Stone.

An excellent somewhat dark, post-apocalyptic Sci-Fi reverse harem romance. The plot is extremely intriguing with unique unexpected circumstances & situations. The characters are quite complex individuals & some of them are at times quite brutal yet at other times rather loving & protective. There is: a strong female omega huntress (Alex) is captured while hunting food by three male barbaric huntsmen (Scorpio, Diesel, Rock & Montana), twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, adventure, action, deceit, threats, danger, conflict, violence, traitors, devastating memories, abuse, atrocities, unethical experiments, slavery, mystery, secrets, genetic mutations, conspiracies, captured, defiance, manipulations, discipline, spankings, matings, domination/submission, escape attempts, fated mates, confrontations, abduction, discovery, death, injuries, decisions & there is love, attractions, compromises, contentment, explicit steamy scenes & a interesting, well-earned happy conclusion. I enjoyed reading this Sci-Fi reverse harem & definitely would recommend it.
—>>> Each story from this author gets even better, this one offering an even greater depth of plot for the main characters, Huntsmen Diesel, Rock, Montana and their Alpha, Scorpio, and their captured Omega Alex, but they are all at the baseline just trying to do the right thing and trying to survive in the remainder of their ravaged world. Smart, strong, and loyal to her group, Alex is doing her utmost best to devote all she could to them, to make up for what she has lost in her life. She is worthy to be mated by Scorpio and stand by his side with the other trusted huntsmen. Another engaging & memorable story to devour!
*Spoiler Alert* Alex (FMC) is surviving in a post apocalyptic America. Where fertile females are hunted to be either sold or mated with. Neither of which is a great prospect. In a new world where a poisonous gas has killed nearly half the population of America. Men called the Huntsmen had been tested on and changed into so-called monsters. Ones that have no conscience or compassion. When Alex is captured by a Huntsmen pack-Scorpio, Montana, Rock and Diesel shes at their mercy to do with as they see fit. A battle of wills and dominance starts because trust is in very short supply. A book full of secrets, backstories and i loved every moment reading it. Absolutely amazing book
Diesel, Rock, Montana and their Alpha, Scorpio are trying to survive in what's left of the world. They have Alex as their omega so they can thrive and repopulate their group. As a whole they work well together but outsiders cause problems for them. Will they be able to create a life for all of them without any threats? Can they keep Alex safe?
This is a dark romance so if you don't like that genre then this isn't for you. This is a great story that will have you on the edge of your seat. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

This was such an intense, emotional omegaverse with characters with so many secrets and a plot that took continual twists and turns. Of course, as in any omegaverse, the fate induced chemistry is HOTTER than blue blazes. All that being said, Piper Stone's world building of an earth in the future with greedy politicians and an apocalypse within the United States. What a terrific read and I was fortunate enough to be given a copy of this book and am honored to give my honest and voluntary review.

Post-apocalyptic Fight for Freedom that is Relevant to Today’s Americans.
As the country faces the possibility of losing our democracy, the threat by the acolytes of former President and current terrorist Trump March toward establishing a fascist system that will benefit only a segment of white males. Our nation is as divided as that spoken of in this book, “Fertile.” While written at the late beginning of Trump’s term, it offers hope and a speech on the last page that should be read and internalized by all Americans as we face terroristic threats ultimately leading to the end of a Democratic USA. Why? Like for the chancellor and his cronies, those threatening our way of life by misleading the people wish to hold onto power. As soon as they take power, the Constitution will be suspended, banking and investment firms will freeze all accounts, those with guns bought to enforce Trump’s nefarious plans will find them pulled from their hands and reallocated to those police and military controlled by fascist leader, probably Trump. Entitlements paid for through everyone’s tax dollars will become transactionable. Ask the Puerto Ricans who were denied disaster assistance after Hurricane Marie decimated their island in 2017 and an earthquake caused even more damage in Dec 2019. Ask the newly elected Ukrainian President whose people suffered as Russia waged a war on their border. Military assistance was programmed by Congress in the final Obama year, but delivery was stopped by Trump who asked the President for a quid pro quo, making release of the funds contingent upon his speaking a lie to damage the most likely competitor in the 2020 election. Or how about Trump’s withholding of needed medical equipment to States led by Democratic governors like NY and MI. Read Piper Stone’s story with an eye to our current affairs and take Alexandra Pettigrew’s last speech as interim President to heart.
A really dark Sci-Fi Reverse Harem story. Extremely post-apocalyptic. And standalone.
I didn't expected much, as I choose this book. I wanted a short book with Omegas. And I don't have triggers. So, I got surprised. In a good way.
The premise of the story was heavy-loaded. Alex lives in a world after a war, where warfare weapons were used, such as gas, that poisoned the humans and killed a majority of the population. In the wake of that, the DNA of the fertile tested men and women were changed. They become Alphas, called as huntsmen, labelled as monsters. Because of their primal urges and strengths. But virile, too. And the fertile women become Omegas, who react to the pheromones by the huntsmen and are, of course, used for breeding. They live in saved cities. The Elite got the children as their heirs and lived a good life. And the rest are used as laborers and live in poverty. Democracy is lost. A tyrannical chancellor takes over... But no spoilers.
Alex get caught from the huntsmen. They face a lot of situations. Domination/submission, relationships, action, twist & turns, intrigue, cruel pasts, secrets... lack of humanity in many ways. But all try to do the right things. Each one with their own past shadows.
I have to say, it was better than I had thought. Well written. Complex. Only the Alpha/Omega relationship wasn't like I had expected. But definitely I recommend reading it.
Really wanted to like this more but unfortunately I just couldn't.
Overall, I think this was a great idea - it had its moments of steam and a good plot. It was poorly executed in my POV. There were times where the story would jump just randomly to the next several weeks. We didn't learn much on Alex's relationship with all her men, it was based on assumption. Yes they had a connection but other then that there wasn't more to it. Didn't explain how they lived together or how they handled the next steps together as a team. It was more of less one POV with Alex and Scorpio vs. Alex and the other three.
Conclusion was SUPER confusing - took me a moment to realize how Josie tied into everything and I was still questioning if I assumed that correctly. The codes really through me through a loop, like where did that even come from? Instead of the feeling of completion, it left me questioning the storyline and conclusion more then ever. I am all for open ended books, but this one wasn't well put together for a reader to connect pieces together. Felt like this was a rushed story with no real constructive stepping stones to lead to the plot and conclusion. I feel really bad, but I had such high hopes for this story based on the description.
In a shattered, neon-drenched dystopia where the air itself is rationed and pleasure is the last currency that still spends, one rare omega holds the power to ignite—or end—four ruthless alphas. Alex never asked to be the last fertile omega in the sprawl. He just wanted to survive. But when his heat slams into him like a shockwave, every alpha in the undercity scents it. Scorpio, Montana, Diesel, and Rock—four war-scarred savages who’ve carved out an empire of blood and chrome—have been hunting for years. Not for territory. Not for power. For him. One omega to claim, to knot, to breed, to keep. What starts as brutal pursuit becomes something far more dangerous: obsession. Dark alleys, illegal heat-suppressants, black-market collars, and a city that wants Alex caged or dead—none of it stops the alphas from closing in. And none of it stops Alex from wanting the very monsters who’ll ruin him in the filthiest, most exquisite ways. Reverse harem. Savage knots. Twisted power games. A plot that coils tighter with every chase, every bite, every shared claiming. In the end, five broken things find the only happy ending left in a world that forgot how to be gentle.

This story is very eerily like some of the things going on in POLITICS in the USA today... I really started reading it and I thought at first it was very much like a book I already read from the author... but after the first two chapters it was clear it was completely different. I really enjoyed the adventure and battles. Even with the Dominant males it is refreshing to read a story with a Strong female. I kinda wish that this was a series with more HUNTSMAN pods finding fertile females although I am not sure if at the end the Doctor cured the fertility situation after the Gas and virus wars. The Pod in this story didn't all get to tell their point of view only the main Alpha and the female viewpoints are told. I wish each of the other three had at least one chapter from their point of view... I really liked this story. I would give it a 10* rating rather than just the 5 available.
This book was meh. It’s labeled as a reverse harem and we only ever get Alex and Scorpio. There are some scenes with the remaining three men (names I don’t remember because they were that insignificant) but they are lacking and rather boring. Alex is even labeled as an omega and it means nothing throughout the story other than.. yea a female that’s not too broken or old to mate. I believe the words reverse harem, alpha, omega, and mate is used loosely in this book with no actual meaning behind it!
In a postapocoliptic world ravaged by friend and foe there are three official level of survivors. The Elite, the Huntsmen/Omegas and the Scavengers. But there are those that fall between, under and out of those classifications, those that struggle to survive and not be claimed or killed. Alex is one such survivor, betrayed, genetically mutated, provider, huntress and Omega. Scorpio, Diesel, Rock and Montana are Huntsmen and also genetically mutated. When their worlds collide, there is immediate intense heat and chemistry. Alex is taken, matedbto all four, and so begins a trail of bloodshed, murder, secrets, people lost and found, conspiracy, dominance, submission, incredible sex and new beginnings. An amazing story that will take you on a journey through a dark future and show humanity's weakeness, strengths and the capacity to survive against all odds.
I DNF at 49%. Not because it was horrible...but it also wasn't good. There is some kind of underlying storyline, but I'm not entirely sure what it is because everyone has secrets. I think someone labeled this as RH, but I don't really think it is as the most connection is between scorpio and alex. The other three guys are just...there. The smut itself was pretty basic and uninteresting.
Wasn’t sure what to expect from this story but it had me hooked from the first pages. It’s got good depth that is more than just steamy scenes, although there is plenty. Different omegaverse but still engaging. Must read.
There's alot going on in this future post apocalyptic world. Alex is one of the few fertile women left and as such, she knows that if she's caught, she'll be bred and that shell have no choice. So when she's caught by Scorpio's pack, ah knows she's in trouble. But there are other forces in play, and they want to Kel Alex for themselves. There's danger around every corner as well as hot and steamy romance. Loved it!.

This post apocalyptic reverse harem was intriguing and unique in its characters and plot development. I found this story entertaining in an unexpected way.

This story was slow and easy but confused me in the beginning but I have enjoyed the experience of the story considering what's happening in the world now.
