The Adventures of Nature Nate and Chompy's Christmas Tree is a nice story about a boy called Nate who sees Chompy one day whilst out with his dog and decides to do something to cheer him up for Christmas.
It's lovely to see Nate thinking of others and coming together with the forest animals to decorate a tree for Chompy. This is great to show teamwork and why it's nice to think about others at this time of year and it doesn't always have to mean presents.
The story is set in a winter wonderland feeling forest which adds to the natural and magical element of Christmas (well at least in story books, sadly I've still never actually seen a white Christmas!) This gives the illustrations a lovely festive feel and it's nice to see the forest animals all coming together.
This is a great book to show how nature can be lots of fun and why it shows important to think of others and consider what you could do to bring someone happiness.

It's perhaps a bit heavy for the age group, but it gets major props for showing a poc interested in nature.
