This book was just what I needed while I was feeling depressed. It was wonderful. Just fun, sweet, and sexy. God, Anne Tenino does this genre of light M/M to perfection! I am so impressed how she makes her main character so vulnerable and relatable. I LOVED the title the second time around and couldn't wait to read about Mr. Toppy and his frat boy... YUM! Thanks, Anne, for cheering me up!

I almost didn't read this book because of the title. It is so cheesy and icky. However, I was willing to give it a go because this book comes highly recommended by people who, like me, have a minor obsession with boys who like boys. I'll pretend it's minor....
Anyway, this book was very sweet and super spicy. It is about a jock (Brad) who has a crush on his hot TA (classic!). However, the jock, against appearances, wants to be dominated and- ahem- put in compromising positions. His TA (Sebastian) is more than happy to comply.
These is very little conflict in this book. It is hot and creative (hairbrush anyone?) and an easy fun read for a Sunday afternoon.

*Third time re-read, this time in audio format!*
Holy crap, this was an excellent audiobook.
Frat Boy and Toppy is one of my comfort reads, and I find myself coming back to it time and time again when I need a pick-me-up. For me, it is a nearly perfect combo of sweet, hot, and light, and I could read it all day, every day. I was a little wary about how I would feel about the audio version. I've had MANY awesome books ruined by a terrible narration. I shouldn't have worried because Nick J. Russo absolutely slam-dunked the reading of this story. He just killed it. You go, bb!!
This book is a fun book about a college frat boy coming to terms with his sexuality. Brad isn't one to dwell or angst over it, though. No, he is the type to get... experimental... and then make a decision. I just LOVED Brad, and I love him more and more with each re-read. Nick J. Russo did a perfect Brad voice, as well as a perfect Sebastian voice, and he made those hot sex scenes even hotter.
I love the light kink in this story. Brad is a total bottom, and I LOVE how turned on he gets by ass-play. There is also some light D/s play that is exactly the kind that I like. YUM.
This book isn't a thinker. It's a total enjoyment read that will MAKE. YOU. SMILE. It is a book that I will continue to read/listen to every single time I have a bad day and I doubt my ability to love a book again. It's short and sweet and everything this girl needs in her life.

Entertaining and so d@mn heartmelting, heartwarming, heartbreaking, heartwrenching endearing. We get a young man's important thoughts, a charming easy & light storyline and it is all very well told. Just the right amount of kinky yummy steam as well.

New Adult is a genre I’ve always really enjoyed. In NA, I love witnessing those pivotal moments of a character’s self-realisations, particularly when it concerns sexual identity/discovery and the wonders (and complications) of falling in love for the first time.
This book was all about those things, and I’m surprised it’s taken me this long to finally read it, considering it has been patiently sitting on my TBR shelf since I first discovered the wonders of M/M romance back in 2014.
But there is no time like the present, and I feel like if I had read this story closer to its release, I may have been a harsher critic, especially considering that there were things that happened here that earlier in my reading years I would have DNF’d over. (I’m talking about the actions that occurred at 45% - actions that made me frustrated and uncomfortable, but which I was much more forgiving/accepting of now than maybe I once wouldn't have been).
The story itself is fairly simple, with college frat boy, Brad, coming to the realisation that he’s most definitely gay and crushing on one of his course TAs – the older, out and proud, definitely more experienced, Sebastian.
Brad and Sebastian hit it off and got it on in spectacular fashion and I liked the easy way their relationship developed over the course of the story. There wasn’t all that much drama present here, which was great considering one of the main themes is a young jocks potentially problematic coming out to his frat brothers. I actually enjoyed the somewhat humorous way Brad’s coming out eventually unfolded – mostly thanks to his straight roommate and his well-meaning big mouth.
As for the characters themselves, I really liked Brad. I enjoyed following him on his journey as a young gay man stepping into his own and embracing his true self in all manner of sexually satisfying and emotionally empowering ways.
I didn’t quite like Sebastian as much as I did Brad - something about his personality set me on edge most of the time - but his actions and declarations later in the piece really helped win me over, at least to a more reasonable degree.
I liked most of the secondary characters present here, too, with the exception of the Brad’s ex-GF who came across as too in your face for my liking. I'm mostly intrigued by Brad’s frat brother Collin, who is one of the many side characters who get their own stories in subsequent sequels.
I had fun reading this one and I look forward to reading on in the series.

When I finished this book I had a big ol smile on my face! I'm not going to rehash the synopsis cause I'm a lazy bitch but I will answer some important questions.
Does it have a good story?
Ive been reading a lot of GFY m/m romance and it was nice to take a break from those story lines.
Is it funny?
Love able characters?
Brad and Sebastian were so freaking adorable!
Is it emotional?
I gotta admit I did shed a few tears.
And of course - the ever important - is it HAWT?
This book is panting wetting hot!
If you want a funny, romantic, steamy, emotional quick read do yourself a favor and pick up this hot little book. 5 stars!

3 ½ Stars! Good, but not Great! I have mixed feelings on this book, I wasn’t quite as enamored as I hoped I would be.
It had a good start, not much in the way of character development, but there sure was a lot of sex. In all fairness to the book, I’m not sure my head was quite in the game with this one. It wasn’t a page turner, I didn't get that...I can’t stop reading this feeling…more like, some fun, passion and more sex. What I did enjoy, was reading about Brad’s inner turmoil over accepting that he was gay. He did quite a bit of debating with himself, and it was very funny. I adored his family’s reaction when he came out to them, they already had their suspicions and he confirmed it, then they just went with the flow, how it should be, unconditional love. Brad and his sisters talking guys…cute!
Brad and Sebastian felt right together; I just wish we had spent more time with them outside of the bedroom, some everyday situations and settings would have added an extra layer to their character development and the story.
As the discussion—the very loud, chaotic discussion—raged on, Brad began to get really, really pissed off. “You guys are ruining my coming out!” he finally yelled.
The melee that ensued in the end when Brad came out to his frat brothers was hysterical! One of the best scenes in the book!! All the planning just shot to hell! Kyle and his note-cards…too funny! Then, we never get any real resolution to the confusion; although Brad and Sebastian settle their issues…with more sex…I would have liked to have seen the outcome of Brad’s coming out through to the end.
It had such great potential…more story, less sex, that would have been the way to go!

This book was sweeter, less funny and more realistic than I expected from the reviews I've seen. It's a fairly straightforward coming out story, about Brad who realizes in his junior year of college that his ladies-man image is pure fiction and camouflage. He's falling for his very male TA, and can't deny it any more. The characters rang true and and were people worth knowing, the sex was hot and the emotions worked with the story.
5 stars for me, and a comfort reread since the small amount of angst here is just enough for flavor and doesn't last too long. I wouldn't mind more of these guys, but the short book length was just right for the story.

After reading a really intense book, I was looking for a light, sweet, sexy and fun m/m book. This was a perfect read for me! Quick read about a college guy named Brad.
Brad is struggling with his identity. He is in a frat, a foot ball player, stereotypical jock- but he also likes boys. One boy in particular, his T.A. Sebastian. Brad has been denying his sexuality for years. Sebastian is an openly gay guy. Brad ‘accidentally’ comes out to his family and a few others. Eventually, he lets Sebastian know. Once he gets with Sebastian, he has a lot of hard decisions to make. He wants to come out to his frat, but he’s not sure how it will go. He’s also starting to fall for Sebastian, but he doesn’t know if Sebastian is feeling the same way... Is it love for Sebastian, or just lust?
I loved Brad and Sebastian. They were awesome. And Brad’s roommate Kyle was just great. My only complaint- I wish we would have gotten a little more at the end- an epilogue or more closure about what happened after. Also, it would have been nice to have more interaction with Brad’s sisters. I wanted their take on what was going on. I see this is a series, so I’m hoping for a Collin book down the line! Overall, a nice easy read I really enjoyed.

First I was like....
Cuz it's NA and it has that cheesy title and cover. And NA has done me soooooo dirty lately...
But hot damn, I'm so glad I pushed through it because this book was just what I needed and it has some of my favorites.....butt secks virgin, super hot geeky top (HUGE geek fetish), muscular needy bottom with just the right amount of quirky humor. Brad is just coming into his sexuality and crushing on his super hot and nerdy TA, Sebastian. I really liked how Brad's sweetness and vulnerability brought Sebastian out of his shell. There was nothing typical about either one of these guys and when these two come together, it's perfection.
This was a super light, steamy and fun read with a little light D/S action. I'll never look at a brush the same way again *wink*

Man its been awhile since I read this book and its still just as charming as the last time I read it. Brad and his hairbrush will never not be funny.

I loved reading this book, because it brought the funny in epic proportions. I think this is my first laugh out loud read of 2012, and that makes it a winner because I love to laugh. Frat Boy and Toppy is going on the list of one of my faves.
Brad is confused, or maybe he isn’t confused just in serious denial about what he is feeling. Brad is interested in women, and he’s pretty much a ladies man but why is a naked hairy MALE ass getting his juices flowing. He cannot be gay. He is a jock that guzzles beer and parties like a rock star with his frat brothers. So explain his anal curiosity, or the fact that he just stuck a hairbrush up his ass when he doesn’t even own a hairbrush. Also the sexy TA Sebastian from his class is giving him awesome feeling in his pants. Brad is starting to see that he is gay, and rearing to go.
Its not just all college fun and parties. Brad struggles with the fact that he might have used a lot of women along the way to avoid the way he was truly feeling. He was trying to fit in the box that those around him had put him in. Accepting his feeling is making the weight lighter, but Brad still has some coming out to do. How does he tell a house full of jocks, his friends, and family that he’s gay?
Seriously, this book is freaking awesome. Like “I found the masterpiece in you” awesome. I laughed, got a little teary eyed (only because I was laughing so hard). However, within all the humour and light tone, one thing becomes clear. Sometimes people can be stereotypical asses! I don’t know if that idea was meant to be subtle or maybe it wasn’t even the author’s intention, but as you read, you start to see it. No way, the guy with abs you can do laundry on, who likes to work out, and play sports be gay. It is just impossible! I think this book captures that, and shows it’s not about physicality and how tough you are, it’s about how you feel and Who. You. Are. Then you just go ahead and embrace it.
The sex will melt your eyes, the device you’re reading it on, and your pants will just up and leave you. I haven’t seen mine in days; it will come back when it’s ready. Since I read Whitetail Rock, Anne Tenino has been on my radar and she is freaking awesome. Her characters are unique, flawed, and fecking hilarious. I am reading everything she puts out, no lie. Frat Boy and Toppy is humorous, sexy as hell, and has me saying “I Love College”.

I really quite enjoyed this story. This story ended up having a lot of heart for a story that I was expecting from the outset to be mostly sex (even though I enjoy those too!). In the end, it had both. I really loved "Frat Boy" and wanted to smack "Toppy" a few times, but hey, they got there. Sweet, cute, and really hot. A nice combo. I ended up staying up to read it.

Shameless! Absolutely shameless!
I know that’s what you think of me when you look at that cover and title. And yes, I totally ran out of shame when I became a fan of Fifty Shades of Grey so there’s no saving me. But YOU can hold onto yours because Anne Tenino likes to tease and take the mickey a bit; so don’t take it too seriously. Frat Boy and Toppy is not just a cheesy sex fest that the cover promises – it’s got heart and mostly it’s just great fun.
Poor Brad – he’s so gay and I don’t know what’s funnier: his denial or exploration of the fact. As much as he tries, there is no refuting his new revelation. It’s a fact now: hairy bums are turning him on, compact muscly men are hot, Sebastian the sexy gay TA is sex-on-legs and straight porn is a yawn. His mental soundtrack keeps playing the bow-chicka-bow-wow tune whenever the sexy Sebastian walks into the classroom. Yup – totally gay. But he can’t be gay – he’s a hot college macho jock and jocks aren’t supposed to be gay.
Brad’s inner monologue is a riot as he discovers and embraces his new found sexuality. His self-exploration of anal sex is one of the funniest things I have ever read. His confidence as a gay man vs hot-jock takes a hit and Brad’s not sure how to tackle his crush on the experienced and very out Sebastian. Everything about Sebastian turns him on and when he inadvertently hears that Sebastian’s a Top, he can’t stop fantasising about him. But Sebastian doesn’t see him, doesn’t even notice Brad the straight jock – why would he? So it’s up to Brad to out himself to Sebastian. And what about his parents and his fraternity brothers? What will they say? Yikes!
This book had me giggling and smiling all night long. I’m not one who normally favours the college boy rom-coms at all, but I like this author. She delivers witty dialogue, sharp writing and a delightful voice. The sex is incredible and there is lots of it, some say too much. I say not, these are college boys after all and Ms Tenino spices it up nicely with a little D/s sugar kink too – so yum!
Sure it’s a little over-the-top sometimes and there are words like ‘spooge’ and endearments like ‘sweetie’ to contend with but it goes with the territory I guess. There is a blushing vulnerability to Brad that allows him to get under your skin a little bit and it’s easy to form a kinship here. He’s not what everybody thinks he is and he also learns to embrace his own dreams and goals and not be what people expect of him. Sebastian brings intelligence and a wealth experience to the relationship – he’s the sexy dominant love-em-and-leave-em type, and totally worth indulging in … believe me.
Frat Boy and Toppy is a sweet, funny read; even the side characters are likable and thoroughly entertaining. This is feel good fiction, take it all with a pinch of salt and enjoy it.

But hey, don't judge this book by it's title...because it was so much more than it's cheesy title (and cover)--though I must say those are some really lickable abs.

This book was lots of fun. There's nothing complicated about this story and that is exactly what I loved about it. Very little angst, just laughs. Brad, our closeted frat boy falls for his sexy history TA, Sebastian. I fell immediately for both MC's. There's a ton of sexual tension and hot sex.
I love this author's humor. There were so many laugh out loud moments. I didn't want the story to end. This will be added to my go-to-happy shelf for sure!
The only issue I had was the ending was just a little too perfect. Even for a romance, it was just an over-the-top love-fest.
Thoughts about the cover: At first whenever I saw this cover, all I did was cringe but now I think it's perfect and simply hilarious. It fits this story perfectly!

Can you believe I've never read anything from this author? Where in the hell have I been? (Smothered by my huge TBR mountain that's what!) Such a popular book this is. I can see why. I really liked it. I'd rate it 4.75 but I'm rounding up so 5 Hearts!
"Frat Boy and Toppy" - the title is not the sexiest but when you read the story to get the meaning, it's really adorable and funny. I actually laughed out loud with this story. I don't know if you know this but I love to laugh and usually I might giggle here and there. There were some scenes (especially the final frat house meeting scene) where I literally laughed so hard.
Brad is twenty-one, majoring in physical education, buff, hot, a jock, part of a popular frat on campus, a renowned ladies man and just realized he is gay. *tilts head* Actually, he's always kind of knew but he never admitted it to himself. Luckily, a certain history TA who's also top-happy by the name of Sebastian makes Brad want to see the advantages of great sex. Poor Brad was looking to all the wrong places for substitutes. *shakes head*
Two guesses on how this was used by Brad (hint: not for his hair)
Brad's not the sharpest tool in the shed and I loved him the more for it. He didn't come across as a joke. His coming out was just the tip of his gay iceberg. What's a gay jock supposed to do when he wants to catch a hunky, geeky TA who's totally out of the closet? See the picture below for a hint. A unique way to catch a guy's eye I must say.

The story switches POV (which I also loved) so we get into Sebastian's head as well. But I gotta admit it was more fun from Brad's POV especially the D/s tones from both main characters. Imagine your favorite drink being in a goblet. Your drink gets to be D/s - either you can immerse yourself fully...or circle the rim, maybe getting a little taste here and there. That's how the D/s was in this book - light, not too heavy circling the rim but not fully becoming a D/s book. But I see Brad's submissive tendencies and Mama likes...a LOT. Sebastian was in it for the kink and boy did they have some kinky fun. And no more hairbrushes were involved. *smirks*

And before you think this story is a one trick pony with a tall musclebound meat head with a preference for bottoming (I do enjoy reading about the bigger guys bottoming) and a shorter, older authoritative figure topping, this story is much more than that. The internal angst was well played out in between the fun dialogue, great secondary characters (a "gay fag hag" - fucking loved him) and both MCs. Brad learns different aspects of himself he never got a chance to explore and Sebastian finally learns he can have more than a one night stand. It's angst-light, the boys, of course, make a mini-bungle of things with not communicating to one another properly. But it ends with a very strong HFN/possible HEA finish. I loved the analogy to feeling like being in love is "like hamburger inside".
*holds out hand* Hello Anne Tenino, glad to finally make your acquaintance. I really like the light, sweet, funny, world you created. Takes a good hand to not turn it into sugary, flat, walking stereotype, mush.

Despite the cheesy title, this was a very enjoyable read. It was sweet, sexy and fun at times with a lot of sexy moments between the two main characters Brad (the frat boy) and Sebastian (the toppy). Just what I wanted!
Brad is 21 years old, he’s in collage, in a fraternity and he's the stereotypical jock. He’s the popular guy on campus. Brad just realized he’s attracted to men. First he doesn’t accept it. Maybe he is bi...It's possible, right? When he starts to notice the sexy T.A., Sebastian, Brad knows for sure that he's gay.
Sebastian is 28 years old and he's attracted to Brad too. He doesn’t do relationships much, but he can be Brad’s mentor when it comes to gay sex.
They start seeing each other exploring each other bodies in many ways. Sebastian likes Brad and not only in bed, so they decide to see each other exclusively.
Things get complicated when Brad falls for Sebastian, but Sebastian doesn’t know what love is or if he truly loves Brad.
I enjoyed this one! It was a really cute read and both Sebastian and Brad were very likeable. The dialogue at times is very funny and are also some scenes when I laugh out loud.
The characters development is kinda missing, but there are many hot sex scenes, who at times are a little kinky, (I’m not complaining) so who cares?
I loved Brad’s inner monologue and the final frat house meeting scene was hilarious. Just fantastic!
What I didn’t like was the ending - too rushed for my liking.
Low in angst, with great witty dialogue, “Frat Boy and The Toppy” was a great short read!

Romcom's are very hate or love with me. Which I believe goes for most people when it comes to comedy. Either you like it or you don't. And if I didn't find this hilarious, the story in itself isn't very strong. The closeted frat boy on his quest to self-knowledge, and him finding love on the way. There's not much of a conflict, and everyone in his life is happy and supportive.
But I did find it funny. So funny that I had to put my Kindle down and just laugh now and then. The characters are a delightful bunch of people. And that includes all the support staff. (Yes, Paul too!)
I adore Anne's writing style, the humor manages to be in your face without being obnoxious. Something I find very unique. Her characters always snatch a piece of my heart. And I have no problem giving it freely to Toppy and Frat Boy. They're lovely. Just like this book.

Awesome audiobook!!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book—what a surprise! I think the narration made all the difference. Nick J Russo’s performance added depth to the characters that was missing on the page.

I loved this because first, I loved Brad. As he was coming out to himself, figuring out what he was, he didn't just go and test out his theory on random guys. No, he worked things out in his head and the whole time made Sebastian the focus of all his fantasies. And then he went home and had his sisters give him crap and has to endure, horrors, the love and acceptance of his parents. Seeing him with his family was a treat. Brad is hot and sweet and beautiful and the man has a conscience that will not let him rest. Sebastian is supposed to be the one who knows everything, but in the end he learns from Brad about true love. The flow of the writing is seamless, it's poignant and laugh out loud funny and I’m really hoping there's a sequel. Everyone should read this one; it was my Saturday morning treat.

This book is definitely not my cuppa tea. Its basically just porn, which I guess i should have expected from the God awful title and cover. I just thought there might be a decent story along with all the smut. I was wrong.
The plot goes something like this:
-Brads a jock in a frat.
-He thinks he might be gay.
-He fantasies about his TA Sebastian, who's a bit of a player.
-They have sex.
-More sex.
-More sex.
-He receives oral from one of the frat boys.
-He and Sebastian become exclusive.
-More sex.
-Kinky sex.
-Brad gets caught kissing Sebastian by his besstie and a funny conversation ensues. - this part was actually pretty funny, thus the 2.5 stars.
-Brad tells Sebastian he loves him - even though they've yet to have a conversation.

I don't even know what I'm feeling about this book. Unfulfilled comes to mind. I liked it but... I feel like I kept expecting all these great things or moments or whatever and they just never panned out.
It started off great! Brad hooked me with his humorous angst over realizing he was gay. He was gay in shower. He was gay in class. He was still gay at the frat house too. It was endearing and he's lovable if not the sharpest tool in the shed. He reads authentically naive in trying to figure out who he is as a person rather than just discovering his sexuality.
There is still plenty of sexuality discovering with his paramour, Sebastian. And this is where I had my first let down. It seems BLINKING NEON SIGN clear that Brad is submissive and Sebastian is definitely toppy and bossy. It just seemed like a natural progression for them to go kinky or go home to me. Never really pans out. There's a little kink but... unfulfilling and all I could think was, 'what a waste of a perfectly good sub'.

I finally resigned myself to that chain yankage then began anticipating the conflict. Was Brad coming out going to be a disaster of epic proportions? Was he going to get all sorts of shit from his frat brothers? Would the fallout negatively impact his relationship with Sebastian? I was all set for some turmoil, some gravitas, some struggle and that didn't pan out either. What struggle there was was resolved very easily. Too easily, IMO.
For all the bitchin' I just did I did really like some parts of it. It's fluffy and I always like a big guy bottom getting wrecked on the regular. The sex as hot and plentiful. I liked Collin, Ashley and Kyle. I did chuckle a couple of times and I would actually be interested in reading more of this series. I even checked to see who the characters were in the other books. I'm hopeful that Brad and Sebastian will let their kink flag fly in their follow up. I don't think I can take any more sub wasting without reporting them to... someone.

A great mix between humor and a healthy dose of realism, the story of Brad going from ‘all jock’ to ‘gay man with a boyfriend’ had me laughing and thoughtful in turns. Much of what he goes through follows the classical path of denial to discovery and affirmation of who he really is. This story’s tone of voice is humorous, but some of what happens certainly isn’t. In many ways this is about much more than Brad discovering and admitting he is gay, it is the story of his realizing who he really is – and who he wants to be.
While Brad has no idea he is gay, at least that is what he tells himself until he meets Sebastian and the penny finally drops, he is very honest about his emotions. He is extremely confused, and following his thoughts is a study in back-and-forth until he finally makes up his mind. He goes from fulfilling everyone else’s expectations to discovering his own, then setting out to make them happen instead. The fact that he likes to be dominated makes everything even more interesting – and very hot! His self-deprecating comments are really funny and some of his observations of his fellow students made me grin.
Sebastian is the complete opposite from Brad, and not only because he is a total geek and history grad student. He may have known that he is gay for a very long time, but he has no idea how to handle emotions – so he suppresses them. As far as he is concerned it is all about the physical part of their relationship – until even he has to admit there may be more. His realization of what is going on isn’t as gradual and well-considered as Brad’s, instead, it is explosive.
These two men are a very nice contrast and seeing them struggle with the growth issues as well as a budding relationship was very interesting to watch. Their very hot bedroom activities added some spice to the proceedings which made this a great story that was fun to read. If you are looking for an intense romance with some great humor thrown in, and if the jock versus geek plotline interests you, this is an entertaining and humorous fresh look at what might happen if their different worlds collide. It certainly made me smile.

Brad is struggling with his identity. He is stereotypical jock, he is in a frat, a foot ball player etc. but he also likes boys.
One boy in particular... Sebastian. Brad has been denying his sexuality for years. Sebastian is an openly gay guy. Eventually, he lets Sebastian know.
Before I started this book I wandered will it be sweet and sexy...
Or lusty and intense...
Well, it was really both! And I enjoyed it so vey much... probably more that I should have...
Overall, light sweet and super hot M/M read.
Highly recommended feel-good "in between" book.

The plot
Brad is trying to be the best... the best son, the best football player, but... it's not enough. He is trying too hard, and achieving just partial success. Why? He can't find himself, in the mess of his life. College is not easy to anyone, much less to a popular football player that is in the closet.
Sebastian is a geek TA in Brad's history class. Everyone know he is gay... Brad know it too... and it desperate in love with him.
Brad want to fall in love, and be in love. Sebastian don't... can they be a perfect couple in such different worlds? A professor assistance

IMO why this book deserve 5 stars
1) the humor. No, it's not a book that will make you smile... it will crack you up loud. Oh no kidding... I laugh so many times my husband was really worried I was taking more than just painkiller drugs :D It's funny guys and girls, and I'm not kidding! Brad and Sebastian will be the narrator and I must admit the funniest was Brad. He is young, confused and his voice is perfect! A young, confused and in love brat, that crack me up. And BTW by brat I don't want to say he is immature, he is just... so innocent and willing to learn! He want to be gay, he want a boyfriend, but he have no idea how to be/get it... so, yes it's hilarious follow Brad in his thoughts and behave.
2) the erotic content. Ok, let get straight to the point, there is a lot of gay sex in this book. Oh yes, and no, I'm not spoiling saying if Brad will have with Sebastian or not... because Sebastian is not the only gay in the campus... oh yes, always teaser :D BUT don't think Brad is a slut or anything like that... he is... in a hormone storm :D He need, and he will have, sex. So oh yesss, there is a lot of sex scenes.
3) the supportive characters are wonderful. I love all... all of them. It's just a pity both families are not well explored in the story. Brad and Sebastian family add a lot to this book, and well, also Brad fraternity friends and his ex girlfriend. All of them.. I love ALL!
4) I couldn't put it down. After I start it I was... lost to the world :D It's a perfect book, to relax you, and take your mind from your worries. It work for me perfectly, so THIS is the main reason this book is getting 5 stars.
So yes, it's a 5 stars book and that is a list of my reasons. Read it, to be charmed by Sebastian geekness (yeah, I know it's not a word :D but well, he is SUUUUUCH a geek sometimes... and I love him) and be in love with Brad charisma.
Because maybe it's a very complicated world, but why make it worst, fighting against who we are?

Brad Feller (a.k.a. Frat Boy) was your typical jock. Oh wait! No, he wasn't! The boy may have played football and belonged to a traditional Greek fraternity, but he was a giant bundle of hidden passions, hidden desires, layers of vulnerability, and a pretty sweet heart. Definitely not a walking stereotype.
Sebastian (a.k.a. Toppy) was his slightly older history TA. And you know what they say about history TAs... You don't? Oh, well this is about to get awkward.
*clears throat*

Seriously, though, Seb was great. That penance scene was SCORCHING hot, drunk Seb is hi-larious, and sad Seb was endearing.
Still, Anne Tenino's Frat Boy and Toppy wasn't a total touch down in my opinion.
I'm having difficulty pinpointing exactly what aspect (or aspects) of the book kept it from receiving a glowing 4 or 5-star rating, however. Maybe it was that some of the characters felt extraneous to me (caricatures rather than characters). Or, maybe it was that of some scenes that started out with such potential ultimately finished in such a way that left them feeling just slightly underdeveloped. Perhaps it was that not all the issues that the author initiated and built towards got dealt with to my satisfaction. Or, maybe it was because although I LIKED both of the main characters, I didn't LOVE either of them (and this left me feeling a little removed from their emotions).
Who knows what tickles my fancy from one day to the next?! Not I, and I am me (if you get me).
When I finished this book I:
- sorta wished that I had been born a gay male jock in the United States;
- wanted to sanitize every hairbrush I've ever touched;
- wondered where I could find someone to make me blueberry pancakes;
- and thought nostalgic dirty thoughts about my 3rd year African American History TA (thanks for that quick little trip down memory lane, Ms. Tenino!) ;)
Verdict: Already queuing up the next book in this series and hoping it's just as good or better than this one.
I really enjoyed this one! It had cute parts and sexy parts and parts that literally made me laugh out loud -- all the right ingredients for a great story.

I loved this book. The characters are lovable, the dialogue fast and funny,the romance tender and dreamy, even the sex was hot and in proportion to the book. (and from me that’s saying something lol)
Now the niggle. It’s a small one but I felt the endearment Honey or Hon was over used in places. But aside from that this book was pretty much perfect.
Best scene has to be the Frat house meeting at the end. That had me laughing out loud. And Kyle? He was just perfect. If he wasn’t so straight I’d love to read his story. Lol.
This is the perfect little pick me up read. It will leaving you feeling all warm and fuzzy and wanting just that little bit more.

Update 11/16/13 This book was just as good the second time around. Reread so I can read Good Boy.
This was just- adorable. There wasn't a ton of angst, just a guy realizing he was gay and falling in love. This book was funny and sexy, hot, with good side characters. This is the second book by this author I've read this week, along with her shorts, and she has now become an auto-read for me. It's so good to find another wonderful author!

Cute story! Brad was like the cutest most adorable-est Frat Boy jock virgin EVER!! Oh, and he's a total bottom, too. Sebastian was a bit slutty, but he was the perfect yummy, Toppy 'mentor' for Brad. Lots of hot smexin' between these two.
It is also quite funny with only like 5 minutes of angst. It's not a deep story, but still very sweet.
I hope Collin gets his own story next...maybe with Toby?
