Annie is marrying her best friend today, the love of her life. She's waited years for this day, and she's not going to let anything get in the way. So what if she's nine months pregnant with twins and starting to feel contractions? She only has to make it until the ceremony is done. What could possibly go wrong? As a follow-up novella to Annie and Jake's second chance romance (Redeemed), WITH THIS RING is a heart-warming look at love, romance, family, and childbirth.
I write about alpha protectors who fall in love hard and unconditionally, through the good and the bad. My characters are strong, sexy, and slightly damaged... because no one is perfect. All of my novels have happy-ever-after endings. What else would you expect from a die-hard romantic? I'm the author of the McIntyre Security Bodyguard Series of contemporary romance novels.
I live in Ohio with my daughter and more than a few dogs and cats. When I'm not writing, I'm reading romance novels and watching movies with happy endings. I'd love to hear from you! You can e-mail me at aprilwilsonwrites@outlook.com. Or, visit my website: aprilwilsonauthor.com.
I purposely waited till I’d read the first 12 books in this series before I wrote my review. I can honestly say I’ve never enjoyed reading a series a much as I did this one. I felt part of that amazing McIntyre family, I hurt when they hurt and I felt great joy and love when they did . It doesn’t get any better than that . Thank you April Wilson for you sharing your amazing talent with me . ❤️❤️❤️
I feel like this series is so stinking cute that there isn’t much to add. There are slightly problematic bits, some continuity issues like with previous books but they are basically solid enough, super likable romances that are emotively written so you don’t mind that it doesn’t quite meet their full potential. They’re good enough and the main family is endearing. This is a non-essential in-between novella that is technically book 9.5 even though it’s the 13th book in the series. This returns to the story of Jake and Annie and is a cute little story set on the their wedding day where Annie is secretly in labour but doesn’t want to lose out on the significance of the March 5th date for their wedding. You definitely need to have read their book (Redeemed) for this to have any real significance to you. Unlike some of the previous books, there is no foreshadowing or plot advancement of upcoming books in the series in this one and so for that reason, you can skip this unless you’re a mega fan of this series, which if you’ve read the series up to this point, you probably are.
I just adore Jake and Annie, and it was great to see their wedding. The story was a little far-fetched, but I love them so much that it made up for it.
April Wilson is the master of amazing short stories that continue to tell the story of the life of the McIntyre family. Jake and Annie are getting married but will the birth of their twin daughters beat them before they say I do?
Very good novella about the wedding and the birth of Jake and Annie's twin girls. It's not really a surprise that she goes into labor on their wedding day, however, I am surprised that they managed to make it to the hospital. There is some closure with Annie and her mom too, but I can't say that I found that all that interesting. Annie is a way sweeter person than me because I would have told the mother to GFC.
There is a lot of breastfeeding going on in these stories lately which I love. I breastfed 2 babies and it is a beautiful wonderful thing. It is also sometimes awkward and downright funny. I wish we could have seen some of that. An unfortunate leak or an accidental spraying during orgasm. That last one happened to me numerous times and it was hilarious. I am all for the sweet mushy stuff but that's not ALL I want to see.
I loved the banter, and the way it was presented in a loving sitcom manner.
With Erin starting to feel the contractions, and Jake sensing there is something missing, and how everyone was trying to deal with the situation. Hilarious.
I particularly loved one part, when she ordered him to not leave the baby one second after her was born, and Jake was making sure he is the baby's bodyguard. It is something I would have done for sure.
Her mom is such a bitch, royally so, and how she tried to ruin her daughter's life just cause she had a messed up life. So vile. I don't understand such personalities, and I see them in real life. So it was a good portray of character from the author.
Really enjoyed this one. A very short one, but good.
I’ve got to say that out of all the women, Annie is the most likeable. She gets on with everything, she’s confident and believes in herself. Lia is still on the, Jonah will get bored of me and I’ll make a rubbish mother. Sigh….. Beth doesn’t want to live in a house with just Shane and her son, as she doesn’t know if she’ll cope without Cooper and Sam. Oh good grief!
So Annie is a breathe of fresh air!!! She’s getting ready for her wedding in Labour. She doesn’t complain as she doesn’t want to spoil the day for Jake. Wow!
Really enjoyable book as the whole family gets together. And it’s so sweet.
Would have been 5, but the continual spelling mistakes, and way too many commas at times, continues.
It was nice to see the storyline of Annie’s parents' reasoning for acting out the way they did. Her mom was one tough cookie. The scenes with all the women joining Annie in her room to keep the secret from Jake was funny. I just thought why did they not think to push the timeline up? Everyone was there. So, I know the dramatic effect. But, after the first storyline, then you compare it with this, it seems so watered down. It's good don’t get me wrong, but it was missing something. Poor, Jason, Shane just barks out orders about him caring for the emergency birth. Poor guy is never going to another McIntyre event again too stressful. The whole black dot is too funny. You will enjoy it, just a fun book.
Loved Jake and Annie’s story and was so happy to see them again for their wedding day. And just like anything with the McIntyre clan it’s filled with drama. Of course we get to deal with Annie’s witch of a mom. We learn about her past and I guess it’s supposed to make you sympathize with her but I don’t. I don’t like her or what she has done to Jake and Annie especially more so after learning what she went through knowing how horrible it felt. Then We get a wedding a delivery!! Yayyyy I hope lia and Jonah get married and have babies and I want cooper and sam to get married and have a baby too!!!
The day is finally here. Annie and Jake had been high school sweethearts but her parents manipulated them both and split them up. 10 years later, they are finally getting married on their day. Annie is 38 weeks pregnant with twin girls. She is marrying the only man she has ever loved, and she's in labor. Her mother comes to try to talk her out of marrying Jake. She finally tells Annie about why she did what she did. Annie finally tells her she has a choice to be made. Will they actually get to say I do before the twins make an appearance?
This is my first review of this series and I read all the previous books. It would have received 5 stars, but I finally predicted something in one of the books. If you're not reading this series (and I suggest you begin with the first and continue in order), you're missing out on a wild ride. I'd go back and rate each of the ones I've read but I have to start on the next one immediately! Jake and Annie are wonderful characters and I love keeping up with all the McIntyre siblings (especially Shane)!
Love this book. Love the second installment of Jake and Annie’s romance story. At the end of Redeemed, readers learn that Annie is pregnant and in Snowbound, readers learn that they are having twin girls. Annie and Jake’s special day is here, they are getting married on the same exact day that Jake and Annie had their first date eons ago. While Jake and Aiden head downstairs for some breakfast, Annie gets the first contraction. All Annie wants to do is get married on her and Jake’s special day. Love this special addition to Annie and Jake’s love story. Worth the read
I chose this rating because this was a really great book. I really enjoyed all of the characters, I also loved how close their family is and how they will come when called. I really like the way Jake and Annie got back together after her parents tried to keep them apart but her dad so the era of his ways. He set a way for them come back together. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers.
Lots occurred in this short read. Jake and Annie make good on their March date, some new McIntyres make their entrance, baby talk occurs for several couples, and we learn more about Annie’s mom and the why of her behavior. It is a sweet read full of family and love. Aiden and Luke are precious and Bridget and Calum are in grandparent heaven. A fun check-in with the family and a good addition to this world.
It was good to be back with the McIntyre family. This was not my favorite book. It was very unbelievable. Really, not one woman knew about Brackston Hicks contractions. They couldn't have moved the wedding up. I think this story was a real stretch and did not contribute much to the series. Ugh
Second chance couple, Annie & Jake (Redeemed) proceed with their original wedding date and what could possibly happen when the bride is due any day to have twin girls in this cute short. Rating: 4stars
I will never, ever get enough Jake and Annie! Everyone needs someone in their life who loves them wholly, unconditionally, through eternity. Jake and Annie have it all! Everlasting love, passion, family, friendship, trust, security……. They are the cream of the crop in the McIntyre family saga!
Parents KNOW if their twins are fraternal or identical. Identical twins share the same amniotic sac. One would see this in an ultrasound. And the condom used after the babies are born, it is possible, but rare to get pregnant while nursing.
I love these novellas and Make and Annie are such a great couple!
Jake and Annie are a great couple and this story will make you laugh. The continuing story and glimpses to figure stories are great. You will love this book!
This book was a like a great dessert, short but really satisfying. As usual, it only leaves me wanting more of all my McIntyre Security friends. I’m looking for the next book now.
I have enjoyed this series, and this book was no exception. It's good to see Jake and Annie finally getting their HEA. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and author.
Excellent follow up book on Annie & Jake . So happy they were able to reunite & find true love again. I love these series books on the McIntyre Security! Can’t wait for new books to come.
Not only do they finally have their wedding date set in stone, but it’s shared with their lovely daughters. This has been a sweet story and much ended after all the turmoil of the last one.
I really enjoyed this novel about Annie and her husband. It was romantic and satisfying. I loved seeing how close they became after the births of this twin girls. I highly recommend this novel. Renee Goldberg rgoldberg227@gmail.com
I loved this wrap up on Jake and Annie but I can't wait for the other stories in this series that are coming!! I guess I'll have to retread the series while I wait!
