Sixteen years ago Richard and I, with our then dog, 14 year old Holly in a trailer attached to Richard's bike, cycled down through western France via the canal paths, arriving in Antibes in July. With the exception of two fleeting visits back to the UK we have lived in France ever since.

For the past five years we have lived in a small cottage in central Brittany with one large collie dog called Viking, one fat cat known as Little’un and a young tortoiseshell cat called Missy. Oh, and there are various ducks and chickens in the garden, and a large pond with about a hundred fish in!

I have contributed short stories and serials to many of the UK women's magazines including, The People's Friend, Candis, My Weekly, Best, Yours and my stories have been published in Australia, Sweden, South Africa and Ireland.

I also write magazine features and my work has been published in national magazines and newspapers like, The Sunday Times, The Sunday Telegraph, Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph, Home and Country, Devon Life. For over three years I had my own newspaper column in the South Hams Group of Newspapers, that took a wry look at family life.

Rendez-Vous in Cannes
By: Jennifer Bohnet

REVIEW ☆☆☆☆
Rendez-Vous in Cannes is the perfect escapist read from all the homeschooling crazy going on right now. Can I please go to France instead? At the Cannes Film Festival, two women with very different reasons for attending will find their lives intersecting. Anna is back in Cannes after 40 years of not attending. She has heartbreaking memories that must be addressed, and spending time in Cannes will help her reconcile the past with the present. The story is mostly about Anna, and the other woman, Daisy, is more of a side note. Daisy is a young reporter looking for that big break. This is her first time in Cannes. The descriptions of the south of France are vivid and imaginative and lovely. In this beautiful place, the story that unfolds is both inspiring and heartbreaking. Anna is a wonderful well developed character with a genuine vibe and relatable qualities. I enjoyed reading this story because it's pleasant and the words flow perfectly. I highly recommend this book for a time out from your reality, and coffee, obviously.

This is a must read novel that I truly had fun getting lost in – this novel transported me to the glitz and glamour of what I imagined the French Riviera was, most especially during the Cannes Film Festival. The story was centered on the stories of two women, Daisy and Anna, who are out in their great adventure, and at the same time we learn about their pasts and how they overcome it. Both these characters were great to read about and I connected with their story lines that made this book hard to put down. It was heartwarming and heartbreaking, but quite an enjoyable read. I highly recommend this book for a great escapism read that is full of heart.

What a simply beautiful story, set over the two weeks of the Cannes Film Festival, this is a book that has everything.

Featuring the south of France, the hustle and bustle of the Film Festival, two very different main characters, new friendships, long lost past secrets bubbling up, fresh romance and some really sweet kids, this really is a joyous book to read.

Well joyous but at times there were tears pricking my eyes due to events I can't specify as they would definitely be spoilers!

We have Anna Carsons who is at her first film festival for 40 years and she is really hoping she can finally put the memories and past to rest, and be able to move on with her life and her new love. Well until a bombshell just before the festival starts threatens to unsettle her a lot.

Then there is Daisy, the young journalist, who has never been to the festival before and it's through her eyes we can see the glitz and glamour, the various parties, just how exhausting the whole two weeks can be for everyone attending .

Both Anna and Daisy are staying with Poppy, so although not a main character we get to know Poppy quite well too, and she is rather central too.

As much as I loved Daisy's story and did really enjoy reading her sections, it was in the end Anna's that grasped me completely. I needed to know why she hadn't been to the festival for so long, just what she was hiding and once we knew that I need had to know, and was reading compulsively to find out how everything would resolve itself.

The blurb is not wrong, lives really are changed forever over this rather special film festival, and I was delighted to be a fly on the wall watching it all play out. I was loving every moment of the book and think it may just be one of my favourites from this author - and I do tend to love all her books!

Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

It was a pleasure to travel to Cannes for this novel, where the atmosphere around the Film Festival is so beautifully evoked. Full of colour and the sights and sounds of the Cote dAzur, you are always aware of the setting and why everyone is there. The two storylines of Anna and Daisy sit well together and as their lives intertwine, it never feels contrived.

For a time, both Anna and Daisy are keeping their counsel on events from their past from the men in their lives. However, as they both find out, telling the truth and being frank is the way to go. There are also some lively characters who we get to meet, especially the children who are full of happiness and enjoying every minute. Family and feeling you belong are central to the storylines and in all, this turned out to be a delightful Summery read.

In short: French glamour in spades.
Thanks to the author for a copy of the book.

This was a great story, I was happily transported away by the author and it was the PERFECT read to escape the current news!

I really enjoyed reading this, I thought that it had a great plot, I thought that the story was well developed and the pace for the story was great. The author really brought the location to life and at times it was almost like I could feel the sun of the French Riviera (I was sitting in the garden and sometimes a girl really does have to dream, especially in a lockdown!)

The book was one that I could relax with reading and I loved every page

It is 5 stars from me for this one, I thought it was really well written and well developed and it was a thoroughly enjoyable read, the author really brought the book to life for me!

Get me to Cannes, right now! This book is set over two weeks of the famous festival and the author puts the reader right at the heart of it. You might want to dress up in your finest clothes and wear your sunglasses when reading this!

Even if you’re not a film buff, Cannes is the place to be. It feels regal, alluring and you can smell the glamour wash over you wherever you are in the city. The main street is even called a promenade – which should translate as Catwalk for all the posing and celebrity feet is sees.

Anna Carsons is attending the festival for the first time in 40 years and this is an important time for her. She wants to forget the past and move on and Cannes is the place for her to do that. Daisy, on the other hand is there for the first time ever and is like a child in a sweet shop. She shows us around the events, the glitz and glam, but also behind the scenes. This is not just about posing on the red carpets and drinking – the two weeks are really tough going!

IT was lovely to be amidst the cameras, the stars and the buzz of such an iconic event. I’ve been to Cannes a few times but never to the festival so it was lovely to be there and finally feel I’d been at the heart of it all!

The setting and the plot really do go well together as this is not the place you think two women’s lives would be changed for ever. Anna and Daisy go through quite a lot and there are some game-changing moments for them.

Definitely a rendez-vous in Cannes to remember!

Film festivals are seriously such an understated form of the arts, okay? I remember going to the Hawaii Film Festival when I was growing up, and even though I didn’t end up going as much as I wanted to, I could definitely relate to how the Cannes Film Festival was able to change the lives of two different women that were able to attend. I feel like women fiction like this really makes me think about the kind of women that I’m growing up to be, and the kind of things that happened in my life are responsible for the way my life is shaped as it is today.

I really love that Bohnet was able to revamp this novel as well, and while I never had the opportunity to read her first rendition of this novel for her to see how it changed, but I think that this version was really done well. I was very emotional while reading this novel, and while I may not have been able to relate to exactly everything that Anna and Daisy went through, but it was enough that I could relate to them in some way. I think about Anna being happy in her life, but also trying to come to terms with her past. I think about Daisy being there for her job but also trying to live the single life. I think about all of that and more, and I can’t help but really feel like this book can speak to many women – even men – that just need something to think about outside of their own lives.

A beautiful read with well described locations. Both Anna and Daisy were well developed with secrets of their own, especially Anna who was endearing.

Jennifer Bohnet was a wonderful, super talented author who could make the locales come alive. The plot had great zing with the secrets the girls were hiding.

Overall, a fun read to escape the realities of life.

Rendezvous in Cannes was a lovely little treat of a book and as I have come to expect from a Jennifer Bohnet novel, a really enjoyable read with a story that distracts you from real life and has you dreaming of sunnier days. For me it’s the perfect holiday read – a light romance set in a dreamy location with a captivating story full of secrets and mystery. Provided you’ve got a couple of hours spare, because it’s not the easiest of books to put down!

The book opens with Anna on her way to the Cannes Film Festival, something she’d managed to avoid for over thirty years previously. Working in film production, she was shocked to hear on her journey to Cannes for the festival that well-known film director Philippe Cambone had had a heart attack and died. The opening chapter to this book was brilliant and really had me intrigued. I set out at the time to only read the first chapter and before I knew it, I was two thirds of the way through the book and completely hooked, wondering what Anna was hiding and eager to learn more about the mysterious Philippe Cambone who, as it turned out, nobody really knew much about at all.

Interlinking with Anna’s story was the character of Daisy. Daisy was a journalist at the Cannes Film Festival which was probably the biggest job she’d worked on. She was having a few doubts about her future as a journalist, knowing any job security was pretty non-existent and not finding the kind of stories she was working on exactly rewarding. I really liked Daisy. She always had a journalistic eye on things but it didn’t turn her into the traditional representation of a selfish, mean, backstabbing character. She might have kept quizzing Anna and trying to work out why she was keeping things from her but she still remained a genuine, caring person.

The mystery of what Anna was hiding had me engrossed and made the story a real page-turner but it didn’t lose its appeal once the secret was out either. I was surprised by the true extent of her secret having only guessed a small part of it. I felt like the reveal did the book justice, being realistic and adding a more emotional depth to the story.

Rendezvous in Cannes’ narrative is quite fast-moving which was easy to read, although there were a couple of times where I felt things could have been slowed down a bit to add more context to the story. For example, there was one quite significant moment in Anna’s life that happened and seemed to get whizzed over in just a couple of sentences where I felt there could have been more emotion showed. However, I felt for the most part the quick pace worked well as it allowed the reader to immerse themselves in the lives of the characters as they grew, changed and developed throughout.

I loved how Jennifer really transports the reader to Cannes and allows us to soak up the atmosphere of the film festival. Her descriptions really bring the story to life, not just drawing us to the hustle and bustle of a busy festival but also adding more colour to the story with detail to the food and drink, the weather, the fashion, the scandal… Everything was so beautifully built up that by the time the book came to an end, I felt like I’d had my very own trip to the Cannes Film Festival instead of purely a fictional one, and honestly, I loved every minute of it! The book came to an end quite perfectly – a fitting way to end what was a really lovely story.

With Covid-19 complicating travel I have been reading lots of books set in lovely locations by way of a virtual holiday so “Rendez-Vous in Cannes” should have fitted the bill. It sounded like something I would enjoy, the story of an older lady who hasn’t been lucky in love at long last finding it.

“Rendez-Vous in Cannes” has received lots of great reviews but once again I am in the minority, it is my first by Jennifer Bohnet so I have no idea how it compares to her other books. I gather it is a modified republication of “Rendezvous in Cannes” with additional material (it is now still only 261 pages) so I assumed I would complete it but at page 105 I have ground to a halt. I don’t think I am going to be giving anything away by revealing that Anna’s “HUGE” secret is that she fell pregnant and had a baby when she was 17 working as a runner at the Cannes film festival many years ago. It is such an obvious secret that the overplaying of such a predictable skeleton in her closet made its revelation something of a damp squib, after so much emphasis I was anticipating something far more significant.

I don’t expect convoluted plots in this genre, they are about creating characters you care about but, after more than 100 pages I can’t say I have any feelings about any of them and the undue weight given to the secret baby was the final nail in the coffin. My first and last by this author.

Glitzy, addictive, heart-warming and wonderfully compelling, best-selling author Jennifer Bohnet is back with a dazzling new novel set amidst all the glamour of the French Riveira: Rendezvous in Cannes.

The Cannes Film Festival is renowned for being a hotbed of scandal and ambition, but for two very different women it is going to be the backdrop which could well end up changing the course of their entire lives. The Festival is known for making dreams and shattering them as well and in this opulent world of high fashion and even higher stakes, an undercurrent of past secrets, illicit desires and overwhelming passions runs through the lives of every single person involved. For Anna Carson, the Festival has always been a reminder of old memories she has never quite managed to put behind her. Now happy again, Anna returns to Cannes after forty years away and tries to reconcile the woman she was four decades ago with the strong, happy and successful woman she is now. But can she vanquish these ever persistent ghosts? Or will there be further surprises in store for her at the Festival?

It is journalist Daisy Harris’ first time at the Festival and she fully intends to make a splash and find a scoop that could make her career. Daisy is not about to squander this opportunity and fully intends to use it to the full. But will she find what she is looking for at Cannes? Or is she going to instead find herself in way over her head? Is she going to have her head turned by all the opulence and glamour? Can she stay focused on the job at hand? Or will Daisy end up wasting this chance?

As dark secrets come to light, both women realise that they have tough choices to make that could have devastating consequences on their lives and those of the people they love. Can Anna and Daisy find the courage to fight for their happiness? Or will this Festival be one they will remember forever – but for all the wrong reasons?

Jennifer Bohnet is in a class of her own when it comes to writing escapist, exciting and captivating novels set on the French Riviera and Rendezvous in Cannes sparkles with wonderful character development, dramatic plots, touching romance and emotional conflict. A gripping read about facing up to the past, second chances and moving on, Rendezvous in Cannes is another winner by this fantastic writer.

Average. If you like flat conversation devoid of depth and barely skimming pleasantries, then this is the book for you.

This story follows Daisy who works as a journalist, and is required to cover the Cannes film festival, and her sister just so happens to live right on the doorstep managing a B&B type establishment. How handy…!

Through her coverage of the festival, Daisy meets Nat who becomes her beau. Their relationship is somewhat unremarkable.

Anna is our second protagonist who has a much more interesting story, and I couldn’t help but feel bad for her at the life she gave up. It all works out though. She was the most likeable and drawn out character in terms of personality.

The character development as a whole was as hidden as the meaning of life, and there was great potential for it. For example, Anna’s relationship with her parents could have been explored further in a past/present narrative. Teddy’s feelings could have been given some depth – I certainly wanted to know how he truly felt about Anna and the whole situation. And Nat and Daisy’s relationship jumped from zero to ‘I love you’ in an unbelievably trite and grey way. I would have liked a bit more romance/smut. Not one sentence showed their feelings or alluded to their passion for each other. If there is one in there, my brain didn’t register it.

The characters felt disengaged emotionally, and to be honest it made the story a pancake: flat.

In the current times when my brain is mush, the little monsters want a snack every ten minutes and my routine has gone to pot it's still good to know there are some things that are endlessly reliable - such as a Jennifer Bohnet novel.  You are always guaranteed and beautiful location that plays an essential part of the plot, realistic characters, often of a more mature age which is really appealing, and a fine mixture of romance, family and history.  Rendez-Vous in Cannes did not disappoint and gave me just what I needed at this point in time.

Set on the French riviera around the Cannes film festival, Rendez-Vous is a novel that explores past relationships, moving on and making amends.  There are several plots told throughout this novel but they all fit together so seamless and snug that's it's hard to pull them apart.  As a reader you get get lost between the pages and allow the wonderful words of Ms Bohnet to take you where she intended.

Anna is returning to Cannes for the first time since being a teen and is planning on confronting someone from her past.  Before she can do this the opportunity is taken away and Anna has to deal with the repercussions.  In the present Anna has a new love interest Leo and is head over heals but will the past get in the way?

Daisy is a journalist covering Cannes for the first time.  Fresh-eyed and excited we get a very atmospheric and innocent view of Cannes through her eager eyes and it's as though I was there - experiencing it with her.  The atmosphere and vibrancy of the place is so vividly described into the story telling it wasn't hard to put myself in Daisy's shoes.

I love how Jennifer often includes characters of varying ages in her novels and despite often having exclusive locations, the women are realistic and relateable.  I adored both Daisy and Anna and completely devoured their stories.

A perfect companion for a sunny day of reading in your garden or on your sofa.  Highly recommended.

Dependable Bohnet - a story of love won, lost, and won again

Bohnet's niche seems to be light reading with stories set in intriguing locations with believable human dramas at the core of their plots. This being said, I think it was a missed opportunity by the author or her editor not to include a more visceral telling that imparted some raw emotion in this book which speaks to some of the greatest tragedies in life: true love lost and the loss of a child. The absence of description that truly connected the story to my heart left me feeling that this story had been deliberately sanitized. But, this could be a cultural difference. I'm an American and we do like our entertainment to be graphic. If you are thinking of reading this story, please do. Bohnet wraps everything up in her dependably tidy way leaving the reader able to close their book with a contented sigh. Like Bohnet's other books, you won't be disappointed in the story.

It's been a couple of years since I last read book by this author and it was simply lovely.

Two very different women are in Cannes for the annual film festival, Anna Carson, for the first time in almost 40 years, and Daisy Harris for the first time ever.

Anna has come to Cannes, hoping to lay memories from the past to rest, so that she can move on with the new love in her life, but a bombshell, just before the start of the festival, means she is more unsettled than ever.

Daisy is a journalist, who gets to experience all the glitz and glamour, that is the Cannes film festival, through her reporting.

Both women are staying with Poppy, who is Daisy's sister, which is how they meet in the first place, and gradually, we discover why it is that Anna hasn't attended the festival, in such a long time.

I've never really had a hankering to visit the South of France, but the descriptions are vivid and I was able to get a sense of atmosphere about the place and events.

An easy, delightful read

I am reading Jennifer's books out of publishing order. This story involves two unrelated women. Anna works in the film industry, her first and only visit to Cannes Film Festival was in the 60s when she worked as a runner. Now, a film she was involved with is to be shown at the festival and she decides its time she revisited her past. Single all her life she recently met a wonderful man who she wants to spend the rest of her life with. She hires a villa owned by an English family, who live in Cannes.
Daisy is a fledgeling journalist who is assigned the Cannes Film Festival after another journalist has an accident. Luckily she can stay with her sister, Poppy, who lives in Cannes.
Jennifer brings to life the atmosphere of the Cannes festival and the delights of the Cote d'Azur. The story twists and turns, but does not surprise.

No, ona je že v idealni romantični zvezi, toda s Cannesom jo povezuje preteklost, katero bi rada zaključila in zaživela v prihodnosti.

"Rendez-Vous in Cannes" by Jennifer Bohnet is a delightful escape to the glamorous French Riviera, woven with intricate stories of love, redemption, and self-discovery. Bohnet's vivid descriptions transport readers directly into the heart of Cannes, making the setting an enchanting backdrop for the novel's engaging narratives. The characters are richly developed, each with their own compelling backstory, which adds depth and variety to the overall story. While the multiple storylines are generally well-handled, they occasionally compete for attention, slightly detracting from the book's pace and focus. Nonetheless, "Rendez-Vous in Cannes" is a beautifully written, heartwarming tale that captures the essence of French charm and the unpredictable nature of love, making it a highly enjoyable read for fans of romantic fiction.

Glitz and glamour and a trip to the Riviera for the film festival – could anything be much better just at the moment? Jennifer Bohnet is a wonderful story-teller, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this one.

Daisy contemplates her future while covering the festival for her newspaper – her life’s in a bit of a state of flux, she has some decisions to make, and her assignment is just what she needs to give herself some breathing space. And then there’s Anna, who’s finally found love in later life – she hopes her visit to Cannes will allow her to reconcile with her past, but things don’t go quite as she planned and the deep secrets of her past are slowly revealed.

The backdrop of the film festival is quite wonderfully recreated – you really feel the buzz and excitement, get in among the thronging paparazzi and the starlets on display as well as getting a glimpse behind the scenes – and I really liked the way we largely saw everything through Daisy’s eyes, sharing her experience and the articles she writes. And there’s the added excitement of the promise of a new romance too – very nicely done, strong and believable.

But maybe the book is primarily Anna’s story, as her visit after a 40 year absence fails to follow the path she expected. She’s a really well-drawn character, and I liked her very much – and I very much enjoyed her relationship with long-suffering Leo, and his extraordinary patience and forbearance when the past begins to raise its head and complicate their lives.

There’s a lovely focus on the importance of family in this book – particularly with Daisy’s sister Poppy and her young son Tom, but also through the many twists and turns of the story. There’s also that theme of coming to terms with the past and moving on – always something I particularly enjoy, and the author has a really perfect emotional touch in its handling.

If you’re looking for a read to escape into, they really don’t come much better than this – with a strong story-line that engages you throughout, both heart-warming and satisfying, leaving you with the loveliest warm glow as you emerge from the cocoon of its pages. I really loved this book – highly recommended by me.

Anna and Daisy are in Cannes and the atmosphere is one of glamour and film stars. Anna is an interesting character and I liked her.

Daisy is a journalist and both have secrets and pasts. Anna is attracted to Leo but had a difficult past. Can Daisy get used to being single?

I don't want to give much more away as the synopsis is self explanatory and I want you to be able to check the book out for yourself.

Rendezvous in Cannes is the first novel by Jennifer Bohnet I have reviewed and it's an easy paced novel that immediately takes you off to a world of glitz and glamour.

The short chapters help the pacing and flow.

This is definitely for you if you want a dreamy location with characters with secrets and a past.

Thanks to Jennifer Bohnet and Boldwood Books for my ARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

3.5-4 stars.

When you think of Cannes, there is only one event that immediately spring to mind and that has to be the Cannes Film Festival.

The story shows the two vastly different stories of two women linked by the Cannes film festival. Anna Carson has been avoiding film festivals for about 40 years. But this year she is forced to attend as her latest film is up for an award. Whereas young Daisy Harris is attending the festival for the first time. She's a journalist looking for her first big scoop and grabbing the opportunity to report on one of the biggest events of the year. When Anna rents the cottage of Daisy’s sister, by sheer coincidence the two very different people have their paths linked.

This was a lovely easy to read story, which left me desperate to go on holiday to Cannes. The writing style was perfect for this book, it managed to effortlessly convey the glitz and glamour of the festival. We also get to see behind the scenes and the heightened emotions of all those attending.

Anna's story was equally heartwarming and heartbreaking. Over 40 years have passed since her first romance but everywhere she looks she is haunted by memories. This was at times equally heartbreaking and heartwarming and a story not to miss.

A fantastic read to dive right into and escape in. If you're looking for a rendez-vous in Cannes, it simply doesn't get better than this.

I was lucky enough to receive a ARC of this book.
I liked it, but I didn't love it. The setting of the book was great, and the present-time story caught me up in a whirlwind of the Cannes Film Festival and the lives of Anna and Daisy. However I feel like Daisy was too caught up in her old relationship that really wasn't a major relationship from the way the story was told. And Anna was very unfair to her current partner. I empathised with her, but her obsession with the past was too much. All in all a good light read, but not a book that I will go back to.

This story didn’t capture my imagination as much as a travel romance usually does. I’m a big fan of this genre, and really like Jennifer Bohnet’s books. It had all the right elements, including a mystery that is solved towards the end of the book. I thought she did a good job keeping the reader intrigued about the mystery, but somehow the characters never really pulled me in. But, while it wasn’t a favorite, I enjoyed it. The descriptions of Cannes and the French Riviera were beautiful, and like all of Jennifer Bohnet’s books, made me want to pack my bags and book a flight. Can’t wait till the pandemic is over, people’s lives are out of danger, and we can travel!

Easy, escapist reading

Author Jennifer Bohnet gives you a laundry list of people to keep up with: Philippe who impregnated Anna (she had Philippe’s son when she was 17), Leo (who’s going to marry Anna), Poppi, Verity, Nat (who’s going to fall in love with Daisy), Daisy, 6-year-old Tom, and 5-year-old Cindy. The one who starts out so nasty is Teddy. He’s furious at Anna, who—from his perspective—gave him up 40 something years ago without any thought. What little he knows… Everything finally works out in the end. Enjoy!

What a delite to read about France- Cannes film festival - through a young Journalist's words. Daisy had a new relationship starting with Nat. Anna was there with her new "soulmate" to show her companies' film. And to meet again her first love and try to make him understand why their lives took different paths. What an exciting story with surprises galore!! Loved Jennifer Bonnet great story!!

Two first-time attendees at the Cannes Film Festival are going to have a life-changing experience in the Côte d’Azur. Production designer Anna Carson has been avoiding the festival for years, despite her success in the industry. Anna newly found love at fifty-seven-years-old, but before she can fully move forward with Leo, she needs to find closure in Cannes after all these years. Daisy Harris is a young journalist hoping to find a good story, and contemplate whether or not to go freelance. Daisy is staying with her older sister, Poppy, and nephew, Tom, in the guest house while Poppy rents out her newly renovated villa to an elite guest. When Daisy arranges a play date for Tom with young Cindy, whose famous parents are in town for the festival, she is eager to get to know Cindy’s nanny, Nat. Meanwhile, Cannes is mourning the loss of Philippe Cambone, a beloved producer. When Daisy asks Anna if he knew Philippe, is she telling the truth when she says no?

I loved the glamorous setting of this book, and it was a light read while still having heavy topics, such as a baby forced to be put up for adoption due to disapproving parents.

Beautiful story I could not put down. Very easy to read prose that literally sucks you in and you find yourself turning the pages. This was a crossroads of present where past and future lie as different directions. Did rather feel Daisy's part was in there mostly as a foil to Anna, who was very much the meat of the story and the one I was really more hyped to follow through. Still, the setting is amazing and the level of detail about Cannes and its eponymous festival was beautiful. Just something that jarred me was it seemed to be set a few years ago - there's a mention of an upcoming movie which has now already been out for almost a decade … Which jarred me because the book releases in 2020, and it doesn't seem to be a re-issue...
Lovely story, though. Well worth the read

Another Yummy Read

I love Jennifer's books! I have such a good time and get caught up in the details. Why rose has become my favorite wine!
Her stories are always feel good with real heart breaks and joys. I read a lot of heavy stuff and these books are always my go to for relaxation. Thank you.
