It's so great to be back in The Shade! I, like a Tristan and Esme, love exploring new worlds and cultures, but sometimes, adventure can be just as exciting at home. However, this dangerous adventure and mystery with a new threat(s) is something I wouldn't dare wish for, no matter how bored home life can be. Getting to know new characters again is a little tricky and confusing,. I have to keep referring to the list at the beginning of the book.

This all reminds me of Strava. Taz'an was a genius when it came to creating life. Doppelgangers are something that I could see him easily making. To infiltrate The Shade, and to come back in general, he would need help. Characters don't always stay dead. Sometimes, magic or entities find a way to bring beings back from beyond the grave. I wonder if Order has brought back Taz'an(and possibly Darklings or even Spirit himself from the nothingness) to keep The Shade busy with Doppelgangers while Order goes after Death. The Shadians can't help Death if they're fighting for their lives and home.

I wonder if these portals are being opened by Order, and to fool even the First Tenners/Reapers would require death magic, wouldn't it? Did former enemies return and band together to take down The Shadians once and for all? I can't wait to find out who this enemy is and how/if The Shadians defeat them.

What a wonderful, action-packed, intense, page-turner installment, that promises a new fantastic adventure, with a new GASP generation that is already showing what they are made of 💪👊😌
A new, unknown, enemy is threatening our beloved Shade and that has brougth back the First Tenners and our GASP crew to work together, to try to solve this mysterious foe identity and his evil agenda 😲👀🕵️‍♂️
This book will hooked you from the first chapter, with its great plot and unexpected twists and turns... Heading to get the next one, 💯 recommended, a MUST read series!!! 😍❤️

Bella started this journey with the first book A Shade of Vampire. For her to release her 87th book of this series is truly amazing. I don't know how she does it and keeps on going. Her books are so well written and I absolutely love them.

This book is 20 years after their last adventure. We see some familiar faces and meet new characters. We are following Thayen the adoptive son of Derek and Sophia, Astra the daughter of Phoenix and Viola and many new character. Something crazy is happening in the shade and I cannot wait to hear more about it!

The Shade books

I have read each book in this series. Bella's imagination is impressive. The Shade is an easy read. I like the characters that she has created and can appreciate how she builds on new generations while keeping my first favorites alive and involved. My only real issue is that some of the stories can tend to drag on with redundant words. However, I have enjoyed each book and look forward to going to the next in line. Thank you for the work that you put in, Bella!

Brilliant. I always worry when a new series starts that it won't e as good as previous ones. I don't know why I worry. Bella never disappoints. Fast forward 20 years into the future and Thayen, vos and the other babies have grown up. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to find out more in the next.

Shade of vampire 87

This is such an interesting story line. Trust in and unending wanting a baby which means they both have to be human. Astra having to deal with somebody wants to kill her. Thayen is an adult now and a vampire he is also experience some of spirit benders magic even though spirit bender is dead. Totally keeps you wanting more. Recommend

I was just re-reading some of the Shade books again and I can’t believe I’ve never wrote a review for them. Normally I love writing detailed reviews but quite simply just read this series.

The shadians adventures continue!
A Shade of Mystery is the 87th book in the series (I’m in awe of Bella Forrest; the fact that this is 87th book in itself is just wow and can speak volumes about how good the series it is) and ideally the series should be read in order. I honestly find it shocking that it’s still so great after all this time, in fact I think each new storyline gets better and better. I honestly never want them to end.

I love this series, especially the overwhelming sense of family in each and every one of them. Bella Forrest is one of the most imaginative authors I have ever had the privilege and honour of reading. The characters really hold you captive and you get lost in the beautiful storyline.

I have read all of the Shade books and they are all amazing. I have followed the series from the very beginning and it just continues to get better!

I implore you to start reading this series, if you don’t you are really missing out. They are just spellbinding, thrilling and heartstopping and so many other words …
