A meaningless tryst with a younger man. A one night stand on the anniversary of a tragedy. That’s all he was supposed to be.

I needed him to make me forget. He asked me to give him everything.
I’m 38. He’s 26. That’s the least of our problems.

The ruthless personal assistant of a top team on the grid, I’m as Type-A as they come. I make the world go ‘round for my athletes. Then I blow off steam dancing my ass off at London punk shows. There was no problem a fierce attitude and big, black boots couldn’t solve, until I met Brodie.

Icelandic driver, Brodie Lusk, skated through life for a broke F1 team with no chance of winning. Packed with potential—but holding no interest in fame, power, or money—he needed different motivation. He should have been simple, casual. Safe.

Sometimes, the safest options turn out to be the most dangerous.

Our passion could not be ignored.
My past would not stay buried.

All I wanted was one hot night with a sexy younger man.
I didn’t sign up for what came next.

Fast & Wild is Book 4 of The Fast Series. It can be read as a standalone but is best enjoyed after Book 3. This is a super steamy 100k+ romance guaranteed to get your motor turnin’…

Content Warning: This book contains discussions of drug abuse and suicide (not in main characters.)

I loved the first installment in this F1 series. I learned a lot about Formula 1 racing, and with this 4th book in the series, I learned even more behind the scenes dirt.

I absolutely loved Brodie! He was so laid back, but don't let that fool you. He gave Mila a night to remember, even though she was hell-bent on using Brodie to help her forget another man - her dead fiance.

The first few chapters were so "hot" I was about to call the fire department. Once the fires of passion burned themselves out, Mila played a feisty, elusive mouse to Brodie's raunchy (but good-natured) prowling cat. As usual, Kat Ransom's dialogue is razor sharp, witty, and often downright funny. Ransom also took the usual older woman/younger man trope and gave it her own unique spin.

I highly recommend this very well written story about two very distinctive and strong characters who complemented each other's differences to make a match in Formula 1 Heaven.

My thanks to BookSirens, the author and the publisher: I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

Mila Klein aka “triple P- Peaches Penis Pleaser” is a savvy personal assistant to an F1 race car driver who is “cock shopping” for a low maintenance/no-commitment one night stand. As she approaches the 40-year-old mark, she leaps full force into cougar town with her very own sexy bad boy Brodie Lusk. Their hookup is explosive and after their lustful night together, they cannot help but think of the other.

Mila has built so many walls around herself based on her emotionally scarring past that she is incapable of giving Brodie boyfriend status. She can however do him on every surface imaginable in his pimped out trailer and hotel room!

Mila is continuously plagued by nightmares of her past and links this to her growing emotions to Brodie and begins shutting down. Brodie knows he cannot compete with the ghosts of her past and his stubborn pride refuses to accept what little Mila is offering as he wants “all or nothing”

As if there wasn’t enough drama in her personal life, Mila also has to manage her codependent boss Cole and prevent him from killing his best friend who is hooking up with his sister, her “friends not friends” who talk shit about her, her distant relationship with her parents and her BFF Jack who is secretly screwing another driver.

The best in series but can totally stand on its own. Yes, the F1 racing setting is interesting. Yes, the story is different from the overdone tropes that every second romance book seems to have.
Brodi and Mila were explosive, both in and outside the bedroom. While Kat was able to make me cry with Dante and Dani's story, I was ugly sobbing in this one. In the end, it's so much less about the interesting setting and so much more about the human condition; our fears; the shaping from our pasts and those we interact with; and most of all about how we forge a path for ourselves that makes us happy.
It is this journey that we walk with both Brodi and Mila in equal parts, showing us that loving someone can sometimes mean stepping back, healing from hurt and the forging a new path forward.
This is a great read, well worth the emotional book hangover.

Wow! Absolutely Fantastic! Kat’s done it again with book 4 of this brilliant Formula 1 series. Mila is Cole’s official supercharged PA and was Dante’s ‘unofficial’ PA until Danica arrived at Imperium in book 3. Mila carries a lot of guilt around from the tragic loss of her fiancé to suicide ten years earlier. Every year she has a tradition at the opening F1 race in Melbourne, to have one passionate, no strings attached, one night stand with a hot guy. Jack, Lennox’s PA for Anora, her best friend and her partner crime always, is privy to all of this and helps her to ‘accidentally’ spin into someone from the dance floor. This year they decide that Brodie, the gorgeous hunk of a driver for Endura, looks like the perfect candidate. Little does she know that this year ‘no strings’ isn’t on the cards.
Brodie is bored out of his brains smiling and nodding to potential sponsors for his team in the bar. He cannot believe his luck when this sexy, gorgeous, blonde pixie literally falls into his arms after performing a jaw dropping dance routine. Brodie is smitten and can’t believe he hasn’t seen her around the track, when he finds out that Mila has been working as a PA for Cole and Dante for so long. He doesn’t have a PA because a) his team can’t afford one and b) he doesn’t need one. He lives a simple life, spending as much time at his home in Iceland. He hates the noise that goes along with F1 life from the sponsors and the media to the cities, but he loves to drive. Brodie doesn’t do ‘no strings’ but he plays along as Mila’s not-boyfriend-boyfriend. He’s both a simple man and a patient one. But when you scratch the surface, he is simply brilliant at everything. They’re relationship is hot and passionate and their compatibility and chemistry sizzles, but something is always holding his feisty pixie back.
This is another well written, interesting and enjoyable read. It’s plot is captivating and the ‘behind the scenes’ that you get to see from book 3 are brilliant and funny. I love the way that these books are written from duel POV but overlap as each character gets their chance to tell their story. Again you will probably need tissues about two thirds in, but you will still be laughing and smiling, (look out for the leather pants) ;-) Superb!

These are standalone books but they are so much better if read in series order :-)

I received an ARC copy of the book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Mila has endured a devastating loss and every year on the anniversary she chooses a man to spend the night with to try and numb her pain. She is the assistant to Cole, a F1 driver, and is in Australia for a race when she sees Brodie and knows that he is exactly what she needs.

Brodie is a rising star when it comes to racing and is there to compete in the race. From the moment that Mila crashes into his world he is enchanted with her and they share a night that he will never forget. She doesn’t want more than one night but when the chemistry between them still burns will he be able to convince her that one night was not enough?

Brodie is determined to win Mila’s heart and be patient and not only help her heal from the past but show her the wonderful future they could have together. The characters are compelling, the chemistry is electric and this story has all the feels.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

I love this series and to see that Mila finally got her opportunity at everything, and it was perfection. She needed good and beautiful in her life, especially after finding out about her past. Brodie was everything she never knew she needed and I fell in love with him from the very beginning.

I am usually not a fan of reverse age gap, with an older woman/younger man. But wow. Kat Ransom delivered and made me want this for myself... and I am a happily married woman. Kat embraced her age, and believed that just because she was a certain age, it didn't mean she had to be or act a certain way. I love her so much. And Brodie. Wow. The way he talks, the way he acts. I need a Brodie in my life.

I loved Dante and Danica... but oh my goodness, I ADORE Mila and Brodie.

Four stars for this beautifully written reverse age gap that will have you crying and falling love with them in a way you never knew.

Here’s the deal, if you are an F1 fan there will be some things the author gets wrong. It’s not perfect. But it’s fiction and it’s fun and it’s spicy so stop complaining about how “the fia would never” and just enjoy.

Do I think every book I read is a sweet love story? No, but, this is another one . . .

The story begins in March 2019 - Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit, Australia. Mila is “celebrating” the death of her boyfriend Lukas, like she does every year since he died, with a “non-romantic, fast fuck” evening with some random guy she will never see again. His death just happens to coincide with the Australian Grand Prix which will have a hundred thousand strangers available for her. Every other day and night of the year her phone would keep her busy with the errands everyone had to have her do. But this was one night she needed something else to keep her mind off Lukas.
Jack is her wingman, has been sitting in the Crowne Plaza bar, with members of all the Dormula-1 teams’ members along with other members of their “racing family” along with present sponsors, possible future sponsors, and assorted groupies. He spies Brodie Luskin across the bar and sone Mila doesn’t feel so bad about hitting on a much younger guy since it’s only for one night.

Defying her own ground rules, the next morning she not only wakes up in Brodies bed but they are cuddling. She carefully gets out of bed, replacing herself with a pillow for Brodie to snuggle into, cleans up in the bathroom (where she admits she now looks like a 38 years old), tosses her torn shirt and grabs an Endura t-shirt from Body’s duffle to make her walk of shame back to her room and her PA duties . . . getting Cole and Dante up for their day of activities.

And another F-1 Fast & _____(fill in the blank) book starts.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Normally I am reluctant to read series books if I haven’t started at the beginning. And after reading Fast & Wild I’m not sure I will read the others. I really like Mila and after seeing the main character as a secondary or vice versa, my opinion usually changes, and I want to continue to like Mila.
I loved that she was older and had experienced life and knew (or thought she knew) what she wanted in life.
I loved how easy-going Brodie was and how simply he lived his life.
I loved Mila’s friendship with Jack, but I wish I could have seen more of her dynamic with Cole and Dante, and even Alessi.
Mila’s history with Lukas had me in tears. I know the loss she feels (through different circumstances), but her breakdown in Iceland and her saying goodbye in Germany were beautifully devastating and written with such raw emotion. I do enjoy a book that makes me cry.
I thought the sex scenes were inventive and hot and I enjoyed that they weren’t ubiquitous or there just to be there. I wasn’t a fan of the unprotected sex or gratuitous semen scene, but that’s more of a personal preference in books than a comment on the writing.
I didn’t fully understand the divide between Brodie and his father, or Brodie’s constant irritation with him. I feel like there’s a deeper story than we see in the book.
It frustrated me who these two came into their casual relationship as strong, confident people but started to do things in contrast to this to make the other person happy, even if the other person hadn’t expressed they wanted it. Mila’s Botox for example, and Brodie thinking of switching racing teams despite his love of and loyalty for Jasper. But I adored their vibrancy and candor with each other most of the time. They had fun verbally and physically and it’s wonderful to read.
I really thought Mila would have called out Brodie’s caveman-like possessiveness. Lina and Noah seemed unnecessary, but I was glad when Mila finally stood up to them.
This is a delightful installment in what I can assume a great series. It’s funny and serious, romantic, and sad and hits you in your feels when you least expect it.

“Fast & Wild” consumed me. It consumed all my emotions, took away my love for Dante (from “Fast & Hot” and replaced it with a melting fire in my heart for Brodie. He and Mila are like a tornado to each other and like a hurricane for my soul.

Since its release, I’ve read this book twice. It released on March 20th and we are now in May 24th. Why ? Because I just could not get enough and because I found this book my medicine in a time of long hours at the office with stress over excel files and statistics. Mila and Brodie were my escape and also my motivation. Together with them, Kat Ransom took my breath away and gave it back 10 times fresher!

Mila is a workaholic. She lives through her work, her best friends are at work, her entire life revolves around F1 and F1 life. Her past stays right where it’s supposed to, but its scars are so deep she has no way of ever escaping them. Brodie gives her one night full of passion that’s supposed to be a onetime thing. But the kid (because he is too young for her) does not give up. They have a lot to figure out, they have obstacles they need to face and they have a past they need to own. But they are amazing!

The romance is great, the passion between the main characters burs the pages in this book. But what I also loved was the way each character changes to meet the other’s expectations. Mila and Brodie couldn’t be more different. She comes from a crazy rich world and prefers the noise of the city. He wants a quiet life, earning enough to have a decent life. He drives with his heart for a man that gave him a future, not for the money, and he also loves the quiet life of the mountains.  Both our main characters were so well thought and so well built and nothing is left at random.

I cannot get enough of this book. I’ve read it twice now and I am sure I will read it again soon. It’s one of the very few books that made me miss the characters a couple of days after finishing it and it’s one of the very few books that gave me the same feelings after rereading it. What can I say?! I’m addicted! Thank Kat Ransom, I bow my head to you!

2.5 stars.

I won’t assume anything about the author’s experience with addiction and suicide, but the way she wrote about it feels horribly out of touch. As someone with experience with both these things, I understand we all cope in different ways. I didn’t have to keep reading the book if I didn’t want to, but I did because I liked the book well enough. However, when addiction and suicide were discussed, the author seemed to speak in stereotypes and wiki articles. It felt very out of touch and naive. As someone who is very much for the open and frank discussion of these topics, I’m also sensitive to how it’s spoken about. As an author, you have an added expectation of speaking about sensitive subjects like these with respect and an educated voice I feel like was very much lacking here.

However, there is absolute NO REASON for this book not to include a trigger warning. The casual way in which addiction, suicide, and (spoiler) dreams of the ACT itself would be more than enough to trigger someone who is susceptible to these topics. In fact, I had to walk back my recommendation of this book to a friend when I hit a particular chapter. I’m not saying this book shouldn’t have been written—that’s not my place—but there sure as hell could’ve been a trigger warning.

I’m not a huge DNF person, but if I was, I probably would’ve DNF this book. This author has a tendency to occasionally write in a way that comes off a bit immature. Many romance books tend to fall into the annoying MC, miscommunication, etc trap—and keep in mind I continued to read this author’s entire library in less than a week, even with this feeling—and this author is no exception.

This review is coming off a lot more harsh than I intended—yikes. ANYWAYS.

This author is no different from so many romance authors, and while I found her writing immature/out of touch at times in a way I can’t quite articulate, her OTHER books are very much ones I would recommend. This one…not so much.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Kat Ransom is quickly becoming one of my favorite sports romance authors. The way she builds not only her characters but the world in which they live is amazing. I have loved all of the books in The Fast Series and I hope that she will return to this series at a later date. Mila has always been one of my favorite characters from the series with how type A she is and how much love she has for Cole and Dante. I was happy to see that this book paralleled the time we saw in Book 3 with Dante.

Brodie and Mila could not farther from the same type of person. Mila is very type A and likes everything in order and lists. There is a reason why she is the PA for Cole and can also handle Dante's requests at the same time. She is on top of her game but no one truly knows what is under the surface that gives her nightmares at night. Brodie is a very laid back, relaxed, takes things as they come up type of guy. He knows that he can not win in the car he runs but that is okay with him because at least he is doing what he loves. These 2 embark on a simply physical relationship because Mila is not looking for anything more. I loved how we saw Mila grow over the course of the book and let Brodie in. I love how at the end of this book not only did they get their HEA but we also see Jack get his as well. Mila and Brodie did not give up who they were for the other but truly grew with the other person. This was a very important concept in this book. That just because you fall in love doesnt mean you have to change who you are.

Thank you to booksirens and Kat Ransom for allowing me to read read this book in exchange for my honest review.

Mila Klein is PA to F1 driver Cole Ballentine and dante Rezzo and she is master at keeping everything under control. Once a year on her fiancee's death, she let her control go. All she wanted was a one night of passion and move on. When she eyed young driver Brodie Lusk in the crowd, she purposely approached him and decided to have her way with him just for one night.
Brodie Lusk never met anyone like Peaches. She rocked his world for a night and she left without a word. He had to meet her again and when he finds out she work at top F1 team as a PA. He was a patient man and he was willing to wait for her as long as he can keep her.
Everyone near her is pairing up and she enjoyed her time with her friends. Brodie is slowly warming up to her but she knows this will end. She is twelve years senior to Brodie and she feels age difference will catch up to them. Mila set up rules to keep him at arms length and keeps thinking this is just a fling while it lasts.
Everything seems to be working for Mila and Brodie until her past is clouding everything for her. She can't open up to Brodie if she wants to continue and she is afraid to open up and fail again. Brodie is perfect for Mila but she keeps pushing him away and she can't seem to move on. Will Mila let everything go and find her ever after?
I have read all the series and this was great. I loved all the characters from previous books and her best friend Jack. Brodie was perfect gentle man and gentle soul who is perfect for crazy, control freak like Mila. This book was interesting series about F1 drivers. It was quick pace just like the sport.

An arc of this book was provided by Book Sirens for my honest review.

Another fast and fun ride!! It was a different twist having this book be at the same time frame as Dante and Danica's book, but it was Mila and Brodie who were front and center. Kind of nice to see things from another point of view as I remembered what was happening on the other side. It was only mixed in a bit which clued the reader in as we remembered what Mila was doing during that book, but had her own drama she was dealing with.

I have to say I would love to meet Brodie as I would get along with him swimmingly! Living in a house with lots of books and outdoor life surrounding you....perfect!! Of course a side trip to a hot spring for a dip would be a weekly adventure.

A book that can make me laugh, cry and pump my fist in excitement is one that I will enjoy every time. I did get frustrated with Mila for making Brodie wait and using his patience to the max, but she needed to figure some things out on her own before she could fully give herself over to him. She also got him to get out of his comfort zone and push him to be the best he can be in the F1 world.

Love the banter between jack and Mila too. Having a best friend that has your back at all times (and knows your dress and shoe size) makes life more fun. Of course he gave Brodie a nickname that makes me chuckle every time it came up as well. Wish Jack could have his own book too!
So much fun!

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Book Sirens. This is my honest review.

I have read every book in this series thanks to Book Sirens, and I have enjoyed every single one. THIS book, however? I LOVED! It is the best one of the bunch and I have the urge to re-read it already!

Mila and Brodie are fantastic together. We got little glimpses in book 3, but who could have guessed the attraction these two have for each other?!

This book was a bit different because it happened during the same time as Dante and Danica's story did, so we got to see the drama unfold between Dante and Cole again.

Mila's backstory is heartbreaking. Who knew she went through so much at such a young age. You would never have guessed by the way she takes charge with her guys on the field. But the amount of pain she still experiences and how much she hides? It breaks my heart.

I'm glad Brodie bombarded her life the way he did. They compliment each other so well and at the time, Brodie's mellow, calm life is what Mila needed. But they both helped each other through their stubbornness and found a happy medium, which was fantastic. I am never going to forget the scene at Mila's birthday party!!

I am sad this series is over, but I'm so looking forward to future novels by Kat Ransom, and will definitely be in the lookout! This series is a must read for all readers :)

I'm sobbing it's over I can nottttt

FIVE FRKN STARS

1star for my girl Mila because she's the strongest most baddass female main character I've ever stumbled upon God I loved her so so much such an exquisite character and so so special

1star for Mr Brodie because he's an angel. that's it. words cannot describe how much I loved his character (Dante is still my baby tho)

1star for the story line: I cried, I giggled, I laughed, I blushed all in 5 hours of me reading the book

1star for making the age gap not weird at all. if you know me you know that I HATE HATE HATE age gaps but there was something about this one, it just didint bother me at all. maybe because it wasn't mentioned A LOT in the book but when it was it was so so sweet and well written and not in a creepy way

1star for this iconic moment: "All the drivers, all my boys, stood up and called for more diversity in Formula 1. Called for them to get with the times, support women drivers, encourage people of color, make karting and the junior F-series’ accessible to kids from all financial backgrounds, to abolish the old boys club mentality and bring this amazing, historic sport into the modern century." PREACH NY LOVE PREACHHHHH

and 1 final star for the best most accurate series of F1 romances.

ps: Author if you love us please gimme a Jake and Alessi book I NEED IT!!!

This series just keep getting better and better!!! I didn't think anyone could replace my love for Dante and Danica but Brodie and Mila almost did. These two had a spark and while Brodie didn't care about the age difference, Mila did. It was brought up a lot and kinda drove me crazy. Despite that fact that, her and Brodie bought out the best in each other. She has a lot going on especially with dealing with Cole and Dante, those two alone keep her busy. But meeting Brodie, she wants to spend as much time as she can with him. She also starts helping him as well. Mila is afraid to get in a relationship, she just wants fun. A past relationship went ugly and hurt her deeply. She needs to heal from it but hasn't fully done that yet. With the help of Brodie and wanting more with him, she has to face her past and move on. There's so much that goes in this book, it takes you on a deeper path then just guys racing on a track. We get to know what happens behind the scenes and their down time. It was great to get to know Mila and Brodie along with seeing some walls within the racing world get knocked down. This was a great book with great characters and spectacular Icelandic scenery.

Mila's story felt to me like the perfect end and goodbye to this addictive series. I finished this book yesterday afternoon and am still feeling the major book hangover that this has put me in.
Out of all of the books in the series, I will admit that this was not my favourite however I still think this book deserves a four-star rating.

This book turned me into an emotional wreck, I felt like I was living through Mila and all of the things she went through and I really felt myself becoming attached to her and Brodie's characters. I found this book had a lot more depth to the characters and more development in the relationship due to that and I was happily surprised.
The only thing I didn't like per se about this book and the series as a whole was that there had to be some sort of drama between the couple in the book. I understand that it makes it more realistic but it seemed to be at the same part in all of the books and it seemed a little stretched out in some cases. However complaints aside I would give this series a 10/10 and I recommend to anyone who wants a spicy sports romance that is unlike anything you've read before (in a good way!)

I have loved all four books in this series but my favorite had been Fast & Hot, until now. This book blew me away. There is a 12 year age difference between Mila and Brodie, which is typically not the storyline that I enjoy. Mila is 38 and it’s the anniversary of a devastating, life changing event in her life. She is on the prowl, searching for a one night stand that will help her get through the night on this devastating anniversary. Even though Brodie Lusk is only 26, no matter, its only for one night, right? Their chemistry is off the charts and Brodie realizes he’s going to have to go slow in order not to spook Mila and send her running. Kat Ransom takes us on a beautiful and emotionally charged dance between Mila and Brodie. You will laugh and you will cry when you find out why Mila tries to keep herself so closed off from relationships. I hate to see this series come to an end but I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what’s next for Ms Ransom.

This is the fourth installment in the Fast series, set in the world of Formula 1 racing. In the fourth book Mila, the no nonsense type A personal assistant to Dante and Cole gets her own story. On the anniversary of a tragic event in her life, Mila always looks for a meaningless one-night stand. Mila is heading towards 40 and Brodi is a 26 year old up and coming Icelandic driver on the circuit. What was supposed to be a one and done turns into something much more complicated.

While Mila keeps her walls up, Brodi is determined to break them down. Throughout the season their relationship continues to grow and eventually Mila gets her happily ever after.

Each of these books can be read as a stand-alone, but the series is really so good. Each of the couples has had amazing stories and chemistry. Kat Ransom writes really great characters and I appreciate that the women aren’t dumb or doormats. She definitely brings the heat.
