Millionaire nightclub owner Jake Lawson works hard, but executive concierge Ainsley Scott is showing him how to let loose…in the sexiest possible way!

I knew I was in trouble the moment millionaire Jake Lawson walked through the door of his swanky Tribeca loft. The definition of tall, dark and handsome, he’s hired me to take care of his parents’ Irish wolfhound. But one game of strip Scrabble later and we’re taking care of each other all night long…

Starting my concierge business was my way out of the rat race I ran as a lawyer until it cost me my fiancé. And Jake is a full-on workaholic, certain his high-end nightclub will fall apart if he loses focus for a second. We couldn’t be more different. But the chemistry between us is off the charts!

From drag-queen karaoke to movies at Hudson River Park, I’m showing Jake how to lighten up and enjoy everything New York City has to offer. But I can’t help wondering if blowing each other’s minds in bed is enough to make up for our different values. Can Jake step away from his smartphone long enough to give us a chance?

5 - Pretty perfect… Stars!

When I discovered Regina’s books, I literally read one, bought the rest and read them all in one sitting. So I am not underplaying it when I say waiting to get my eyes on Dirty Work has been a torturously long and arduous interlude.

I met him barely a month ago. But my head can’t deny what my hearts known almost since the first time I saw him…

This is a book that had a bit of everything, lots of sexy times, loads of banter, a hilarious Great Dane called Roscoe, and a couple that you cannot help but like and root for. Pretty ‘insta’ in the feels department, but I didn’t care, the author kept the storyline interesting and diverse in the locations and activities the couple undertook, and I loved reading each and every chapter of their story

The only problem I have now is the fact that the delayed gratification paid in spades with Ainsley and Jake’s story, but sadly I am now back in that same holding pattern waiting for Dirty Secrets to be released later this year. Fingers crossed the book is Connor & Brie’s story, because the glimpses Regina gives you of them in this one make me believe she will nail the older-brothers-best-friend trope to perfection.

Workaholic and club owner Jake Lawson comes up against a force of nature when he meets executive concierge Ainsley Scott; the dog-sitter his sister has hired to care for their parents’ super lazy and utterly adorable Irish Wolfhound, Roscoe.

The last thing either Ainsley and Jake were expecting was their instant chemistry...and the pseudo dates (who wouldn’t want to visit a drag queen diner/karaoke bar?)...lots of laughs...steamy kisses...and this girl here will never view Scrabble in an innocent light again...

The super-charged attraction between Jake and Ainsley was blazing hot with an extra heap of sexiness, but what I loved best was their innuendo-loaded conversations! Snappy remarks and funny dialogue went a long way towards convincing me to root for these two. Add in well-meaning friends, one or two on the job whoopsies, and a recreated show-stopper from an 80’s classic film, Dirty Work became a delightfully witty, romantically smexy, romantic comedy!

I received an advance reader copy from the author and this is my honest review.

A super fun & sexy read! She’s an executive concierge and he’s a workaholic nightclub owner. She used to live that rat race of a life until she decided to take things slower, have some fun and enjoy living. Jake’s about to get schooled.

Ainsley gets roped into a favor by a friend. Her friend’s brother is taking care of their parents dog while they travel for a few months. The rule was no pets, but Ainsley made the exception. She was willing to take on Roscoe, but she never expected Jake.

Taking Roscoe out daily leads to seeing his sexy, temporary guardian. Their attraction sizzles and Jake makes his attraction known. Ainsley thinks she can resist, but it’s only a matter of time. Their fall is sweet.

When they both finally give in, it’s amazing chemistry. They fit together perfectly. Days spent consumed by one another and life in their little bubble. The problems arise when reality comes rushing in and Jake has to choose between Ainsley or his job.

This was a wonderful romance with a lovable dog, a favorite John Hughes movie and a great couple. An epic finale made this the perfect swoony romance.

Laugh out loud humor, witty banter, and scorch the sheets sexual chemistry kept me flipping the pages of this fun and fast-paced contemporary romance. Kyle has created two realistically flawed main characters who need to learn the art of balance in their lives and compromise in their relationships. It took me a bit to warm up to them but, once I did, I was in their corner all the way. I loved the dirty talk, the fun adventures (Strip Scrabble - who knew?), and the sweet, emotional feelings that surprise both of them. The grand gesture is one of my all-time favorites and more than convinced me these two have what it takes to create a hot and happy lifetime together.

4 star Review Dirty Work: A Steamy Workplace Romance by Regina Kyle

Regina Kyle is a new author to me and this is Jake Lawson and Ainsley Scott’s story which I found to be an entertaining read.

When Jake hires Ainsley to take care of his parents’ Irish wolfhound, Roscoe, she knows she is in trouble. They are absolutely opposite, with one thing in common, drive and determination to succeed.

The chemistry between them is scorching and it only builds as their attraction intensifies. Ainsley is determined to show Jake that there is more to life than just work. In fact I am not sure I will ever look at a game of scrabble in the same way again.

This was a fun and steamy read that had me captivated from the first to the last page.

Ready for laugh-aloud fun? Dirty Work is witty and sexy, filled with lots of banter and one-liners. The New York she creates reminds me of Lauren Layne's, with close-knit co-workers, high-end shoes and high-end apartments...but Regina Kyle turns up the heat level and adds a big, sweet, oafish dog. Fun, sexy escape!

Regina Kyle has delivered the perfect mix of witty banter and emotion in this quick, fun read that had plenty of laugh out loud moments. There was plenty of hot chemistry but also an emotional connection between the characters that made it easy to want these two to find their happy ever after.

Although the chemistry was hot and heavy from their first meeting, I loved watching Jake and Ainsley slowly recognize and acknowledge their feelings for one another. Even though Jake is billed as being a workaholic I never really got the vibe that he wouldn’t be open to finding more balance in his life, despite the past and his perception of what happened to his father. It felt more like he never had a reason to slow down, and only when Ainsley, who has had her own issues with balance in her life, decided to show Jake that he could focus on more than just work, that he finally found his reason. Learning more about Ainsley and watching her come to terms with her past really helped to get a better understanding for some of her actions and reactions, and learning her truths helped piece her story together. Jake did get me more than a bit angry at the end, but he delivered big time to earn his redemption!

The supporting characters added to the story, bringing both some laughs and also a lot of emotion. All of the various relationships added to the story, from the fun and respect that could be felt between Ainsley and her co-workers, to the tension that was always there between Ainsley and her mom. And of course Roscoe - the Irish wolfhound who steals every scene.

This was a great rom-com with plenty of heat, humor, and heart - one I would definitely recommend!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book I received from the author.

A low-angst, fun erotic romance. Private concierge heroine does a favor for a friend by taking on dog-walking duties, only to come into close contact with her friend's very sexy workaholic older brother. Fun, flirty and a rare instance where both characters were "in the wrong" for the requisite Black Moment during the climactic finish. Too many pop culture references for my liking - but that seems to be par for the course for the Dare line (at least the ones I've read...). YMMV, but probably around a B- on my personal scale. Not a life-changing experience, but a fun way to unwind and kill a couple hours.

I have been a Regina Kyle fan since Triple Threat and she just gets better and better!
"Dirty Work" keeps you wanting more from the time the two main characters meet. She left the high paced stressful world of law to start a personal concierge business. He is a multi-millionaire upscale bar owner who is constantly on the go. The heat between them is instantaneous.
Dirty Work is a fast, fun ride from start to finish, you won't be disappointed.
These characters are well crafted, true to life and vibrant. I wanted to meet them!
Great energy throughout the book, you won't want to put it down.

Dirty Work is my first book by this author. I really liked this quick and sexy read. I loved the completely opposite personality's the couple had. Ainsley is a lawyer who decided that life was not for her and started her Concierge company where she finds her joy of life again. Jake is a Club owner who is expanding his business and very much a workaholic. The chemistry is hot between this couple and I love how cute they really were with each other. But of course not all is perfect and it comes crashing down. I love how Jake won her back, it put a hug smile on my face.

I will definitely be looking for more books from this author.

I received this book to read for my honest opinion.

Dirty Work is a quick, quirky, sexy read.

The chemistry between the characters Jake and Ainsley is off the charts and when they act on their attraction, sparks truly fly.

There is, of course, misunderstandings and miscommunication but just like in all good romance, it all works out in the end.

I'm keen to see if there is a story for Connor and Brie in the pipeline.

All in all, a good first novel to introduce a new-to-me author.

This was the first book I've read by Regina Kyle and it won't be my last!

I devoured this story. I couldn't put it down. The characters sizzle with attraction and everything in between.

Just like a book-- you don't know what's hidden on the inside. That's exactly how these two MC's are. Despite their exterior... what's going on underneath?. hmmm.... LOL LOL

Dog Walker (Concierge) Ainsley is happy with her life- well, until she promises her friend she'd so something she never does.... leading her right into Jake Lawson's loft.

If you are looking for two main characters who are sweet, sexy, filled with some 80's references, and have awesome friends-- trust me, this is the book for you!!

This book pulled me out of my book funk. I enjoyed their banter, attraction, feelings and that dog- he was so lovable.

Dirty Work is filled with wonderful characters and two people who can find more in their lives than work-- we hope, right?

4 stars from me.

Things are very rarely what they seem to be, that old saying, never judge a book by it’s cover? Each and every day the truth in that statement is shown more and more.

Ainsley Scott wasn’t really what she seemed by outward appearance but she kind of liked it that way. She had been through a couple of truly life changing events and she had been changed because of it. In some ways it was almost nice that people under estimated what she was really capable of, that is until it wasn’t. Until who she was came out and people got different ideas in their heads.

Jake Lawson was one of the unfortunate ones who underestimated Ainsley. For him life was work hard and play hard, there were reasons he was the way he was as well but as much as he knew that he didn’t seem to realize that there could be more to others as well. He did know that he liked routine and when people tended to mess that up he didn’t react very well.

Ainsley and Jake were thrown together thanks to a large dog named Roscoe. What Roscoe couldn’t accomplish though, a tight dress and a hurt shoulder managed, then a cell phone ruined. Or was that cell phone the best thing that could have ever happened?

So this new DARE series is HOT and Ms. Kyle is no exception. While the reader goes into the story thinking they know what is going to happen Ms. Kyle manages to throw in many twists and turns that you won’t see coming. She really explores the secondary worlds she has created as well but does leave you wondering what happens with them as they are so realistic. One can only hope that she will go back and complete their stories as well. Overall this is a great read, a great story and some moments that will have you sweating in a wonderful way.

I was in a reading slump lately. This book brought me out of the slump for sure.

From page 1 I was hooked by the characters and by the situation. This is super fun and sexy read. I have no doubt you'll enjoy it.

Ainsley has a no pet policy for her business. What happens when her friend Brie has a chance of a lifetime and needs someone to watch her parent's dog, Roscoe? Her brother, Jake is a workaholic and Roscoe needs a babysitter. Ainsley caves and takes the job. Ainsley doesn't bargain for the chemistry between her a Jake. It's off the charts. She has to ignore it, Roscoe is a job. What happens when Jake becomes a job? Ainsley is unprepared for her feelings towards Jake.

Jake is blindsided by the dog walker, Ainsley. He has an immediate reaction to her and can't forget or, nor does he want too. When he witnesses some dude at his club getting to close to Ainsley he steps in, only to end up needing her attention and devotion. Things heat up, but Roscoe keeps cockblocking him. Will he ever get a chance with Ainsley? Or will she slip through his fingers because he can't stop being a workaholic?

As usual I totally enjoy reading a book by Regina Kyle. I love reading well thought out characters. It helps a story move along if you can engage with the characters. Ainsley and Jake were fun and flawed. They both needed to figure their Sh*t out, and they each helped each other to do that.

This was a fun story with great secondary characters and one goofy dog (that I do like to think was named after my Roscoe), just sayin. This was a great read during a crazy time. I really hope we can soon get back to running around New York, it made me miss the city and the people who live there. Thanks for the fun, steamy read.

As delicious, indulgent and invigorating as your favourite cocktail, Regina Kyle’s Dirty Work is a fun summer sizzler readers will devour in one sitting.

Ainsley Scott had given up her high-powered and immensely stressful job as a lawyer in one of New York’s most prestigious law firms to open her own concierge business, Odds and Errands. While her high society parents cannot fathom what possessed their bright and intelligent daughter to walk away from what could have been a lucrative and promising career, Ainsley cannot remember a time when she had been happier. No job is too big or small for Ainsley and her dedicated team at Odds and Errands. Whether it’s dropping off someone’s library books or picking up their laundry, Ainsley is ready to go the extra mile for her clients. However, she draws the line at taking care of animals. Ainsley categorically refuses to accept any job that would involve her working with four-legged furry animals, but when her close friend Brie begs her to take care of her parents’ beloved Irish wolfhound, Ainsley simply finds herself unable to say no to her – even if the dog is massive and will lead her into heaps of trouble, especially with Brie’s brother, Jake Lawson.

Millionaire Jake is a workaholic who is wholly dedicated and committed to his business, Top Shelf, one of New York’s most stylish and most popular nightclubs. Jake’s work means everything to him and he does not let anyone or anything distract him from his goals. With plans to expand into Miami and beyond, Jake doesn’t have much time for romance and relationships, but when his gaze collides with his dog-walker Ainsley’s, the only thing on his mind is getting her into bed!

Ainsley believes in keeping her business life and her professional life separate. With one bad break-up behind her, Ainsley is giving relationships a very wide berth, but saying no to Jake quickly proves beyond her. Temptation soon proves impossible to resist and when they give into the sizzling desire that burns between the two of them, Ainsley and Jake soon discover that one night is simply not enough. But with Jake’s business deals occupying more and more of his time, will he manage to put down his phone long enough to realise that his obsession with his job might well lose him the best thing that has ever happened to him in a very long while…

Flirty, feel-good and fabulous, Dirty Work is a fantastic contemporary romance where the sex sizzles, the banter sparks and the wit comes thick and fast. Regina Kyle is a brilliant writer who has penned a red-hot romance that is funny, emotional, captivating and features two brilliant characters readers cannot help but fall in love with. Ainsley is a smart, intelligent and sarcastic heroine I adored and sexy Jake is positively swoon-worthy.

I also loved this book because while it was very sexy, the sex scenes never felt like they were there just for the sake of it and they enhanced the plot and the connection between Jake and Ainsley, rather than overwhelming the entire story.

Regina Kyle has gone straight to my favorites list with Dirty Work and I cannot wait to see what else this fabulous storyteller comes up with next!

Ainsley Scott is a former lawyer who quit her job to start over as the owner of an executive concierge business. She got tired of the rat race. She’s had a strict ‘no dogs’ policy with her company, until one of her friends asks for her help with Roscoe, an Irish wolfhound that she and her friend’s brother, Jake, are caring for while their parents are on a 3-month long cruise. She takes the job because her friend offers to triple her normal fee, and this will allow her to give her two employees a nice bonus.

Jake Lawson owns a successful nightclub with his best friend, Connor, and is a bit of a ladies man and an attention hound. Connor runs the business end, while z Jake is the face of the nightclub for PR purposes. He’s looking to expand their nightclub down into the South Beach area of Miami. This translates to spending a lot of time at work and not a lot of time having fun.

They get to know each other through their shared responsibility toward Roscoe. Ainsley tries to open him up to the possibility of fun, by taking him on quirky dates and helping him to get untethered from his cell phone. There’s a bit of an insta-lust component to this story, but they really do share a lot of common interests. As they get to know each other better, they realize that there is much more to each of them than the insta-lust might suggest. There is a little bit of angst and an amazing ending to this book. Throw in some drag queens, an outdoor movie, and a visit to Coney Island, and you get the idea! It’s a fun read!!

Ainsley Scott basically got left at the altar by her ex-fiancé Dale, but it served her a much needed wake up call. She quit her job as a lawyer on the track to be a partner and started her own business from her home, Odds and Ends, which she calls an executive concierge. Her friend Brie Lawson has pulled the friendship card to get her to break her no pets rule in her business when she agrees to help care for her parents’ dog, Roscoe, who currently is staying with her brother Jake while their parents are on a three month cruise. Brie got a call back for a part in Les Miserables in San Diego, and she needs Ainsley to help with Roscoe because her brother is a workaholic and does not want Roscoe to be neglected.

Jake Lawson owns one of the hottest clubs in New York, Top Shelf, and is in the process of trying to expand to the Miami’s South Beach area. He likes to play hard and work hard. He is proud and excited for his sister for getting the part, but is less than thrilled about having Roscoe in his professionally decorated loft.

Jake and Ainsley meet when he comes back from Miami to find her bent over in his living room scrubbing his rug and muttering about Roscoe under her breath about breaking her no pets rule. He is instantly attracted and she shuts him down just as quickly reminding him he is paying her handsomely for her services. The next time they bump into each other at his loft, sparks fly and the attraction is clearly two sided but a phone call interrupts them and she flees. A few days later he is injured at his club playing knight in shining armor to Ainsley and she ends up volunteering to stay with him while his arm and shoulder have to be in a sling to keep Brie from leaving San Diego. One game of strip scrabble later and they can not get enough of each other until he finds out he lost out on the property in Miami after turning off his phone to be with her and blames her for it.

This book was really easy to read and kept me interested and after I finished the book I was sad it was over. I would love to have more of all the characters in the story, Erin & Aaron, Mia (Ainsley’s BFF), Colin (Jake’s BFF) and Brie (Jake’s sister). Jake and Ainsley do not immediately jump each other but build up a little believable tension first. They have steamy chemistry and a lot in common. When she takes him to see Ferris Bueller’s Day Off at movies in the park, I decided I wanted to be her when I grew up. I have always loved the quote from the movie: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” Ainsley is already living this motto, but Jake has to learn it the hard way.

Tired of the endless hours working to make junior partner at a law firm, Ainsley strikes out on her own as an executive concierge. As a concierge, Ainsley and her coworkers will do just about anything contracted to do—except take care of animals. They have a strict no-animal policy. When a friend offers an outrageous amount of money to dog sit for three months, Ainsley can’t turn it down. Ainsley decides to take full responsibility of Roscoe, not even telling her coworkers. Ainsley wants to be able to prove to her mom, former coworkers, and herself that she can be successful—while also enjoying life and not working herself to death.

Jake, a millionaire nightclub owner, is a certified workaholic. He lives and breathes work. He knows what it’s like to struggle in life and NEVER wants that for himself. But at what cost? When Jake meets Ainsley, there’s an instant chemistry, but also a great camaraderie. She’s his “yin to her yang”. But when he misses out on an important business opportunity, he retreats and pushes Ainsley away.

Jake and Ainsley are polar opposites, but that’s what makes them a perfect match. He makes her want to be successful in business, while she helps him relax and enjoy life. I LOVED his “grand gesture”!!! Not really sure this is a workplace romance as they don’t work together per se, but it was highly enjoyable. HOT and STEAMY packed with witty banter, movie references, and amusement park adventures. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Heat Factor: It’s a sexy one

Character Chemistry: No wishy-washy chemistry here — it’s clear from their first interaction there’s only one way this is going.

Plot: Ainsley started an Executive Concierge business after quitting her job as a high-powered attorney and gets roped into breaking her “no dog care” rule when a friend needs her to help her brother with dog-sitting. Jake’s sole focus is the popular nightclub he owns with his best friend. When Jake is injured and requires someone to stay at his house with him, Ainsley agrees to help — and they POOF/KA-BOOM into an explosion of sexy-times.

Overall: This is just a classic, you-know-what-you’re-getting romance – no twists or turns or fresh takes on an old theme here. But the upside of a classic romance is that even if the story is new, you can depend on your happily ever after and all the warm fuzzies that come with it!

4 1/2 STARS!

Sizzling chemistry! DIRTY WORK by Regina Kyle is so much fun to read! An adorable (or not!) meet-cute involving a dog has this couple under each other's skin from the first moment they meet and it's simply delightful.

Ainsley Scott is a breath of fresh air. She is simply doing a favor for a friend when she agrees to add a dog to her list of chores every day for a few months, but never once did she think said friend's brother would sweep her off her feet and into a hot and heavy affair ... but she's gotta admit, she's loving it!

Jake Lawson is sex on a stick the second we meet him. He's a successful nightclub owner and knows just how tempting he is from the word go. Their passion begins as a slow burn but once it ignites, it's game over.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a fast paced, sexy read with lots of heart and humor throughout. Really enjoyed it.
