I’m a man of the cloth. But in my case, the cloth is leather. I’m wild and free, but one look at her and I’m begging to be tied down.
I belong to the Untouchables MC, but I provide spiritual guidance for clubs up and down the West Coast. Biker weddings, funerals, and everything in between. I get paid in cash, tequila, and favors.
I’m living the good life until an old friend from my days at the seminary calls in a favor I can’t refuse.
I trade in my morning tequila for coffee and office hours. I do my best to behave around her, but the temptation is too strong. There’s no stopping nature when our worlds collide.
The Sunday school teacher isn’t having it. She’s too young and way too pure. My primal nature kicks in when I’m around her. She makes me want to sin and atone, all at once.
Can she save my soul, or will we both give the devil his due?
Steamy, red hot roads ahead! As always, no cheating and a guaranteed HAPPY EVER AFTER! Enjoy!
Joanna Blake loves good old fashioned romance, men who open doors and work with their hands. Hot Blooded Heroes is a series of sizzling stories about True Blue American men and the women who love them. She's thrilled to be collaborating with Pincushion Press on her new series! Come along for the ride! XoX, Joanna *********
Um.. this book was so far fetched from reality I felt as though I was reading some fantasy series. Heroine used to being in a relationship with a guy she really really loved for over 2 years she maintained her virgin status, yet here comes a biker 28 years older than her, a week later she gives it up? No way in hell. Not only does she give it up, he literally effs every hole she has. Now we all have been virgins but no way in hell am I doing it 4 times the same night and then letting you visit the backdoor. Girl your body must be made out of rubber.
Okay read. 30 year age gap - which I don’t mind at all, actually like them alot.
I was surprised that the Hero was able to leave his club for soo long and basically go do the religious church thing. There was no MC business. Heroine mentions how Hero is tough/scary but I didn’t really get that vibe.
Heroine was bitchy to Hero when she first meets him just because shes attracted to him. I hate reading that. She also seemed kind of snobby-ish, her not talking to Hero for days and needing a break because he was drunk with his buddies was extreme.
Nothing really happens in the book.. lots of sex though.

Preacher is 50 - tattoos, nomadic Cynthia-22 charitable, trying to keep her community free of crime and poverty
He is an excommunicated man of the church, having misplaced his faith due to a personal loss. He’s been asked by his dying childhood friend to accept responsibility for his congregation in his absence.
He instantly feels an attraction to Cynthia, she’s involved with many of the programmes and has been asked by Father Paul to guide Preacher through the transition as he acclimates.
Preacher is disreputable, hell-raising, libelous, dirty, foul-mouthed, kind, caring, sensitive, generous, surprisingly educated, intelligent, sexy, loyal, trustworthy biker. He’s also a territorial, jealous caveman.

As someone who only recently started reading Joanna Blake’s works, this is my introduction to Preacher. I didn’t go into reading this book already loving him... nor did I finish the book loving him either. A self-described “filthy old dog,” Preacher is significantly older, crasser, dirtier, drunker, and more possessive than your typical hero. He fell fast and hard for the sweet and innocent Cynthia, and the journey to happily ever after was both fast-paced and extremely sexual.
The story follows Preacher (you can guess his occupation) as he helps an old friend by taking over his duties. A man of God who has a complicated relationship with the man upstairs, Preacher shocks Sunday school teacher Cynthia when he shows up. For him, it’s insta-love. For her, it’s equal parts insta-lust and insta-loathing. Knowing he needs to clean up his act if he has any chance of winning over Cynthia, Preacher works on bettering himself while dirtying Cynthia up. It doesn’t take long before the sparks between these two ignite, and things get serious quickly as their new relationship has consequences.
Joanna Blake’s writing is always great, and I’m sure longtime fans appreciated seeing Preacher find his happily ever after. Unfortunately, I had trouble connecting with either Preacher or Cynthia. It felt like the author made him extra crass and the story extra dirty just to add shock value. These two have a relationship that’s primarily sexual (and pretty filthy), which didn’t make it that easy to get invested in their story. I definitely had moments where I enjoyed the book a lot, but I was never truly rooting for these two. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The irrepressible Preacher finally meets his match!
As a favor for a long-time friend, Preacher takes over a congregation while their reverend is recovering from cancer. The church is being managed by the beautiful, headstrong, and entirely-too-young Cynthia, and Preacher knows from the instant he meets her that he's in way over his head.
I loved how Cynthia wasn't afraid to stand up for what she felt was right, and she brought out the best in the old dog who wasn't like any man of God she's ever met before. This is a fast-paced romance between a feisty woman who knows her mind and a growly caveman who's way past his prime but still has what it takes to make her dreams come true.
Fans of this author's MC series know Preacher as the delightfully improper minister called upon to perform weddings and steal kisses from the brides. Reading how he finds his home in Cynthia's arms was a long time coming, and I enjoyed every bit of it. His own wedding was, of course, the perfect opportunity for the ultimate payback, and that scene alone was well worth reading this book for. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Preacher was a bad boy with a criminal background, but also had a lot of good in him like helping out at the church. He had his fare share of women in his bed but was done with it and was looking at settling down.
Cynthia was the Sunday school teacher who did not want to get mixed up with a bad boy like Preacher. Preacher described her as "a hard ass but not a b!tch by the sketch of the imagination. She was not a pushover either, but tough".
Preacher and Cynthia were meant to be together. They knew from the moment they met that they were it for one another.
This was an insta-love kind of story. Not really an MC romance, although it was part of the Untouchables MC. It was still an AMAZING story.
He’s been asked to help his friend out for a while, because the friend has been diagnose d with Cancer. When he sees her, he sees an angel and temptress, all in one. She’s good, kind, and curvy as hell, but he doesn’t want him at first. She thinks he’s rude, drinks to much and is not right for the job. He will do anything for his friends, and family. They fight, get along, play around, and fall slowly in to love. When the people he is asked to protect and keep safe is threatened, and he is hurt, thats when his MC”s families come help him out. They help hi realize that what he has now is a great thing and he doesn’t want to lose it, so he gets his head on straight and goes after the angel of his disruptable life., that what he has for her is worth everything in heaven and on earth.
I enjoyed Preacher's story very much. Both the writing and the story itself was delightful and entertaining to read. It was time Preacher had found someone worthy and strong enough for him too. I loved Cynthia's character. Her devotion to people and strong inner compass made her unique. She was perfect for Preacher who seemed quite set in his ways of coping with life. It took him the first sight to fell for Cynthia but took a bit more for both of them to accept their feelings and stop fightning it. Great story, sweet unexpected love for a though biker, steam in the bedroom, HEA.
Wow, a story that goes to show you even the most unpredictable can happen. When love hits, it’s doesn’t matter if your a older, crazy, dirty talking, big as a tree biker, a cute little thing can knock you on your behind. Inside Preacher there is a huge heart, and that shines in this book. He met his women and together they not only work together to help those in need, but they also show you age doesn’t matter, things can get hot really quick and also end in happily ever after. This one may just knock your socks off readers!
I would have to say whew! This book is all kinds of deliciousness. I was in from the start. The characters are fantastic! Their story will have you reading as fast as you can to see what happens next. Chemistry is off the charts. A must have! Check out Preacher and Cynthia. Worth every second as you go on the journey with them! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance copy of the book from the author.
I Received this ARC from BookSprout for Honest Review I Give this Book a 2.5-3/5 Star Rating, listing as 2.
HEA(?): Yup Romance: 3/5 Heat: 3ish/5 Suspense: 3/5 Drama: 3.5/5 Plot Concept: 2.5/5, into me I found the entire story a bit lacking and flat.
No Spoilers. This was an Ok Read, but I’m Rating this lower due to the fact that when I closed the book, in honestly just had no desire to want to reread this book in the future.
After loving all the Devil's Riders and Untouchables book, Joanna Blake fans have been waiting (and begging) for Preacher's story. It was definitely worth the wait! It brought laughter and tears and more smiles than imaginable. Now we're waiting for more.
This was one hot read! Preacher is a tough biker kind of man of the cloth and Can is the innocent young church assistant who he falls for at first sight. It was very entertaining!
Joanna Blake never disappoints and Preacher is a FIVE STAR READ! I will read anything by Joanna Blake. In each of the Devils Riders series books and the Untouchables MC series books the Preacher has been there at the end to marry each couple and kiss the brides. When his friend, Paul, from the neighborhood and the Seminary calls Preacher rides hard to Portland, Oregon to take over Paul's church. Preacher is a dirty mouth, hard drinking womanizer with a heart of gold. How will the congregation and the community take to Preacher? How will Cynthia? She is a Sunday school teacher and moving force behind the scenes of the church. Lightning strikes at their first touch. Cold showers will cool you off but the sexy bits will have you reading late into the night. Such a great read. Bonus you get a few Untouchables and Devils Riders in this one. Next book in the series is Hunter and is available at all the usual retailers.
This is my favorite of Joanna Blake story of the 10 or so books I've read so far. Preacher is a tall, handsome, long haired, super hot, well built biker who is an extraordinary lover, rough yet tender, loyal, loving, and complex. He's a genuine full-blooded American alpha male, which are becoming more and more rare. It was real good to read about a biker in his 50's for a change. I noticed most of Joanna's younger bikers have money simply because they work hard, are talented, and run their own businesses. They're bad asses with big hearts, integrity, values, and morals. And their women are hot, feminine ladies who are not at all helpless or dumb. A winning combination to me.
I have not read any other books in this series. I am going go back and do so now. I loved the character of Preacher. He was complicated yet well defined. Ok, so it was a little weird that he chained the woman he loves but I guess I can see it. Still a great read.
Read all the books in this series ... and wow loved every minute of them .. I cried , laughed and felt most emotions as I read ... good read but please note once you read one you have to finish them all as the are all interlinked
I really loved reading about Preacher throughout this entire series. I could hardly wait to read his story. I truly loved it. I look forward to the next book in this series.
Preacher was help taking over for a lifelong friend ,while he went to get treatment. He met Cynthia at the church. This as a really good read,I didn't want it to end.
I loved everything about this book, except maybe Cynthia’s age, somehow I just wish she’d been older, I know OM YW is a thing but a book this good wouldn’t need that trope to be good, a mature older woman would have made it better.
My expectations were all met. Especially at Preacher and Cynthia's weddding! Loved that Paul was given extra time on this beautiful planet. Love comes to all who opens themselves to the possibilities awaiting us all.
Preacher his days of living wild and free are well and truly over. His oldest friend calls in a favour, when he meets Cynthia his days of wine women and song are over and he is happy to fall. Lovely story.
I love these type of love stories. Nicely written. Older man Younger woman, attraction and undeniable love coming together and teaching each other, enjoying each other and when that connection is made, it’s explosive, it’s hot and it’s definitely dirty!
Amazing! It was everything I was hoping for and more. I needed this story and it really delivered. I’ve been reading about Preacher in so many other books. I actually wasn’t sure how this would go and I am so happy with it. So good!! ❤️
He never thought at his age he would find someone that would change his world, but she did. She disliked everything about him when he entered her world, but he was about to change her mind. Definitely recommend this book, author and series.
It was an ok read and at first the characters were interesting, but they quickly became annoying. Sometimes the 50 yo ML acted like he was 21 and the 21 yo FL acted like she was 50! And while I'm fine with age gaps, this one was a little much. The story was really good in parts and then really eye-rolling bad! so 3 stars is fair.
