Black and white. Right and wrong.
That’s how Craig Bailey has always lived his life.
The son of a fallen, decorated police officer,
He’s had no choice but to follow the rules.
Until he met the ultimate bad boy
and decided to follow him instead.

Henri Boudreaux is everything Bailey never knew he wanted.
Mysterious, sexy, and hiding more secrets than friends.
He’s exactly the kind of man Bailey knows could break his heart.

But there’s a vulnerability to Henri that calls to Bailey.
A longing for a connection that Bailey is unable to resist.
And while Bailey has always lived his life on the straight and narrow, he is now beginning to understand that falling in love is never so black and white.

Ummmm!

It was ok, but there was something missing. Clearly action/mystery is not Ella's thing, Wft was all that? but atleast she can do erotica.

I was waiting to see Logan and Tate on page but they never appeared. Ugh! This is partially the reason i read book 5 and 6.

Something huge was missing and......

This is the 6th book in the Confessions series, but the second book about Henri and Bailey. It can definitely NOT be read as a stand-alone so if you haven't read the previous books yet, I strongly advise you to start reading the first book "Robbie" ...it's really good.

In this following story, we see Henri and Bailey really starting to get to know each other...the good and the bad. Especially Henri is afraid to confess all of his secrets, of all the people, he had to go and fall in love with a cop !!! One who won't just let up.

speech_marks_left_red (4)r Those walls of yours? I'm going to climb them. And those bridges? I'm going to be the one who burns them down. speech_marks_left_red (4)r4

I do have to say that it grated on my nerves a bit, that I was reminded of the fact that Bailey was a cop/officer on almost every single page... I know it was a big issue in this story, but still, it felt like a bit much.

I was also a tad bit disappointed in "officer Bailey" to be honest. I expected a bit more from him when push finally came to shove. Thankfully he got his head out of his ass fairly quickly.

All in all this was a very sweet read, pretty low on angst and high on the "feel good" vibes.  If you are in the mood for something sweet, sexy and fun, I highly recommend this series !!

PS: I wonder if I can put in a request for a story about "Officer Dick" ?!!

3,5-4 stars from me ;)

Broken record here.

If you love Ella Frank and if you love how she weaves her alternating POV romances, then this book and its predecessor Henri, should be a total no brainer.

Lust turns to love quickly and intensely, and it was a very smexy story seeing these two (especially Henri) find a happy ending that they really really deserved.

Enjoy!

That was a delicious way to end this excellent series and not anywhere near as dramatic or angsty as I was expecting.

In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that, apart from one perfectly understandable moment when Bailey needed to get his head around finding out about Henri's full past, it was just a beautifully sweet and steamy exploration of what happens when two men - who shouldn't work on paper - just absolutely do.

Gorgeously emotional at times, I loved both these men and felt their relationship was well earned and a lasting one even though it was relatively quick to cement into statements of love.

Once again, though, the number of times Bailey gets called his cop by Henri was just a tad too many 🤣

I will miss these boys, and the glorious Robbie, Julien and Priest.

I liked it.

As a series ender, this story had just the right amount of emotional oomph to make it an even better read than its predecessor (Henri).

Picking up exactly where the last book left off, Henri and Bailey quickly go all in with their steamy, whirlwind romance. And who can blame them? Their chemistry—physically and emotionally—is off the charts and can’t be denied.

But the fact remains that Henri has some seriously life-altering skeletons in his closet, and falling head over heels for Bailey—his sweet as pie, sexy as sin COP—throws all sorts of spanners in the emotional works, especially if Henri ever wishes to be truly honest and open about his past and what haunts him.

Can Henri confess his darkest sins to the man he’s fallen so quickly for?

And, more importantly, can Bailey still love Henri when he finds out the truth?

For the first real time in this six book series, I felt like the ‘confessions’ title finally held weight. Although all the men in these books have had dark pasts to reveal to their lovers, Henri’s admission to Bailey was, for me, by far the most damning and emotionally charged revelation of them all. The tension in the lead up to the big scene was fantastic; I was right there, alternating between Henri’s and Bailey’s emotional reactions.

All in all, I liked how things played out. But I will admit, I wished Bailey’s reaction to Henri’s confession had been something a little different. . I get that he’s a cop and has a strong moral compass—one that is perhaps a little blacker and whiter than my own, apparently—but I wanted more acceptance and understanding... at least given quicker than it was.

Still, I really liked Henri and Bailey both, and I found their story perfectly easy to read.

And to top off another enjoyable Ella Frank read, she’s once again ensured I come back for more, by teasing the potential relationship between secondary characters Xander and Sean (Bailey’s BFF and brother, respectively). I have no idea where their story will take me, but I’m all in!

I enjoyed this conclusion to Bailey and Henri's story. I'll admit, I was a bit afraid we'd end up with more books...in true Ella Frank fashion.

Nothing overly dramatic in this one, thank goodness.

I thought Bailey and Henri were both likable guys. They had good chemistry. They were a bit cheesy at times.....also in true Ella Frank fashion.

Plenty of steam in this one. Ella Frank does know what she's doing there.

I'd like to see Detective Dick get a book. Though there wasn't much indication as to his preferences. Xander too.

We're back with Henri and Bailey.

We start right where we left them. They just spent an amazing night together and Bailey is happy - for the first time in a long while. But he still doesn't know anything about Henri. He doesn't know what he does for a living - what he did for Priest.
And Henri - he is so sure that Bailey will run away screaming once he finds out. Or that he will arrest him. ☺

Let the fun times begin!!! ☺

Well, that was a great second book about those two cuties!

It's so adorable to see them fall in love! Henri never thought he could be that one person for someone. And he still doesn't really. He thinks Bailey will run away any time now. Poor guy.

I really loved reading it.
It was cute and sexy and funny and heartbreaking and romantic and a bit dangerous.

I also really adore Bailey's best friend/ex Xander and Bailey's brother Sean - I hope there'll be more spin-offs!!!

I enjoyed Bailey the last book in the Confession series.

Where as Henri, book 5 left me with a lot of unanswered questions and feelings, Bailey wrapped everything up in a pretty bow for me.

Bailey and Henri have fallen hard for each other but when Henri confesses to Bailey what happen “that night” it is a lot for Bailey to take in, Bailey needs some alone time to process everything.

I loved these two men together they complete each other; Bailey lights up Henri’s darkness and Henri gives Bailey the strength to finally be happy.

I loved the epilogue it made me SMILE, I am going to miss all the men from this series.

“I’m head over heels, crazy in love with you, Bailey. How’d you do that?”

Bailey ducked his head into Henri’s neck and kissed him there.

“I loved you right back.”

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ Honestly, I don't know what kind of hocus pocus Ella Frank injects into her writing, when it is just pretty much horniness and minimal plot, but somehow, it's still fun to read. 😆 It helps that the editing is top-notch so I have no grievances yet in that aspect. What is fascinating even more so, is how relationship-driven the majority of the story covers, and yet, I'm still helplessly swayed by the romantic intimacy of it. 🥹

What would it be like to belong to someone like him permanently?

To have him be…mine?

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ For as much as Bailey and Henri are polar opposites, being in a relationship itself is foreign territory for them - 'exhilarating, impulsive, and so unexpected' Henri only ever being devoted to Priest, and Bailey never really finding someone to have that intimate connection with. But, they're helplessly still drawn to one another - a longing and a yearning to find someone who could understand the deeper untold parts of themselves. 'But then I ran into you, and you were like this, I don’t know, bright spot amongst all the dark.' 🥺 And when certain events and truths unfold that has Bailey reconsider whether or not a straight shooter cop like him can tolerate or even condone the darker side of Henri's bad-boy and troubled past, it does put a standstill to their very passionate and steamy sexy times in the bedroom, allowing them to both reflect if their relationship was worth taking a chance on, when so much felt impossible to overlook given their respective backgrounds. 🩶🖤

I never thought I’d want to belong to someone.

But when Henri looks at me as though I’m his, all I want is to make him mine.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ When all is said and done, truth and justice and love does prevail. Not to mention, patience and a strong sense of conviction, one that helped Bailey understand that sometimes love doesn't need understanding, but simple trust of believing. For all Bailey ever wants is not to be lied to; and as much as Henri is defined by his past, Bailey chooses not to let it define what he means to him - how he makes him feel. 'My problem isn’t being around you, Bailey. It’s leaving you that now seems… unimaginable.' ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 Henri was smitten, but he was also very caring, allowing himself to be openly vulnerable and affectionate in ways that he'd forgotten he could ever feel for someone else again. Their banter and interactions were sweet and charming, but also, very earnest and affectionate. I liked seeing the gentler side of Henri - the way he comforted Bailey in his own time of grief and anger was also very endearing, too. That is until, of course, their unbridled desire kicks in. Honestly, like why can't she just keep it PG! 🤦🏻‍♀️😆

Then I’ll be there. But Henri? I feel like I should warn you.

Those walls of yours? I’m going to climb them. And those bridges? I’m going to be the one who burns them down.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ I was a bit annoyed that it had to be Joel and Julien who made them realize how their relationship is much more meaningful than either had anticipated. 🙎🏻‍♀️ Granted, it does serve as a sense of closure, but I wish it did not have to come down to the two of them being involved. Yes, I'm petty that way, don't judge me. 😌

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ I'm not too keen or interested in fireman Kieran Bailey and his willingness to hop into bed with anyone with two legs, but the fiery, if not feisty dynamic between Detective Dick, aka drinking into a stupor older brother Sean Bailey, & best friend forever Xander, intrigues me. 🫣 So, yes, I will be returning to the Chicago verse to wrap up their story, and maybe have more substance to the plot than just lustful passion... Doubtful, but here's hoping. 🙃

ETA - did a re-read of this in audio and I still really loved it, so keeping the same rating.

These two are so sweet for each other, I love it.

Ahhh! This is what I want in an Ella Frank book! ALL The feels, crazy hot chemistry and emotion between the two MCs, some angst and a bit of conflict, and then an epic HEA!

You definitely must read Henri's book - at the bare minimum - to fully enjoy this one. I say bare minimum, because, really, you should read the entire Confessions series. Robbie is a perfect princess, Joel is sex on legs, and Julien is y'know...Julien (LOL, I kid - I love Julien too), and I love them all. I'm so glad we got some moments with the three of them through Henri and Bailey's stories.

Now that Henri and Bailey have started falling for each other, emotions and all the feels start coming out to play, and they both realize that they are going to have to share each others' pasts if they want to build a future together. Only, Bailey doesn't expect the major bombs that Henri will tell - both with his childhood and his recent past helping Joel and his husbands.

I really enjoyed this book, so much more than just Henri. Yes, they really work together and are a perfect duo-set, but I think I enjoyed getting to know so much more about Bailey in this story. We knew a good amount of Henri just from knowing how he grew up with Joel, but with Bailey, we didn't really know anything about him until this story. I enjoyed him coming to grips with his actions and Henri's past, and choosing love above all else.

Now I want Bailey's friend, Xander, to get a story!

***** More from Bailey and Henri in this amazing series wrap up. Cop Bailey has just discovered Henri...

works undercover for his brother, Sean, a detective. At times we feel like the world is against our two men, given the obstacles they need to overcome, but we can feel their inner core of devotion. Bailey is in a work incident that rocks him to his soul.

Henri is the one who knows how to take care of him.

A getaway is then in order, and on the romantic island retreat,

more truths are told, and Bailey has a decision to make about the man he loves. We see Xander, Joel/Priest, Robbie and Julien, plus Bailey's brother, Sean.
The writing is clever and fresh, with many surprises, heartwarming talks, revelations and discussions. These solid men have extremely sizzling sexy scenes.
We can picture them and they are breathtaking.

I highly recommend this superb book and series.
ENJOY !

I can’t believe that I have been through six books of a journey with Ella Frank. What a wild ride! This final installment of the Confessions series was absolutely superb! It had all the feels, all the drama, all the sexy, sexy times! And I never wanted it to end. But all good things do have to come to an end. I only hope that we see more of all of these characters in the coming creations by our dear Ella. She has the talent to evoke such strong emotions just through her words on a page. I’ve never cried so much...snotty, messy, ugly crying... through six books!! And this last one nearly did me in. I know it seems like a lot to delve into if you haven’t read the first five books but you seriously must! You will not be disappointed. I literally am tingling with excitement over the thought of what is to come next!

"I've never had anyone make me feel the way you do."

There is nothing better than finishing a book and being able to sit there and just smile. I mean, I smiled all the way through this book and I may have shuddered in pain for Henri and Bailey during it, but my overall feeling is absolute adoration. Hands down, completely intoxicating. The heartache was strong in this one and I was actually shocked at how hard it hit me. Bailey and Henri have to be some of my favorite men in this series, but then again - I have enjoyed them all. I have fallen for the way Frank writes her men. They are strong and confident, but there is a vulnerable side to them that is so sexy to read. That juxtaposition works well in her books and in her stories. And once again, falling head over ass into another love story she penned gave me yet another reason to marvel at her words and her smooth style of delivering a love so profound.

At this point, I think it goes without saying that these books are HOT. Capital H, Capital O, Capital T. I could totally and completely feel the desire that was very evident between Henri and Bailey, and the fact that it caught them both by surprise, showed them both that things can be different...my gosh, I just loved them so much. Their pull was unmistakable and that was a great theme throughout both books. Because, as with life, we know it gets in the way - right? Right. And so with having this pull they can't deny, nor can they explain away, it made for a great anchor for not only the highs, but also the lows.

"How was it possible to feel so connected to someone when you barely knew more than their name?"

There was such a masterfully laid background of their story, one with a lesson to be learned and understood. Jaded mental pictures of our own worth are the worst to combat, and knowing what our sweet Henri had gone through, he deserved all the man-love he could soak up. I say, who better than Bailey? These two were literally made for each other. This book, duet really, was actually the best layout necessary for the Gruff One and Saint Bailey to learn something new about themselves and the power of a love that was unquestionable in every way. This is proof that love doesn't have rules. It crosses boundaries we may have set up for ourselves, but it doesn't have rules.

The physical side of Frank's words were abundantly clear - they were tangible. Two grown men that can't take their eyes off each other; the kind that have meaningful sex - not just powerful sex. Mind boggling desire mixed with scorching, red-hot lust. They just felt each other, wholly and purposefully. An undeniable intensity that robbed each other of their senses....and I sigh hard when reading a love about giving in like that. I love feeling like I'm being swept up in this love that is just falling off the pages right along with the characters. I love that their love story can be wistful and heart-tugging in one moment, but bold and complicated in another. It ran the gamut of emotions, but it wasn't an emotionally tiring read. It just fit every pocket imaginable for me, and I really enjoyed their story so much.

After waiting patiently for this second book, I can safely say that Frank delivered a worthy story. I was completely caught up in their budding relationship as it grew, so waiting was a sweet form of torture, but she did not let me down. I am inexorably in love with Ella Frank's writing and cannot wait for more. Her voice is so charismatic. She possesses a strength with a heavy yet sensual side to it. I get all caught up in her stories and I always hate when they end....

"There was something to be said about being the one person another could be free with."

4 Stars!! L❤️VED IT! 💕 It was so satisfying to see Bailey and Henri 😍 finally find their HEA 💞 Henri having been through so much in his past and still holding onto so much guilt needed to make a fresh beginning with Bailey and so he did in the first book; but Bailey didn't really know anything about him so it was refreshing to see that the book started with Henri confessing to Bailey about one of the secrets😱 (that he is working as an Informant for Bailey's detective brother Sean) But that's not the only secret he's keeping from Bailey and as they spend more and more time with each other, it becomes difficult for him to keep such a huge part of his past from Bailey. As their feelings get deeper, Bailey is all in but it takes a Henri a little while to get there 💘💕.
Once they confess their love for each other, it should have been blissful from there on; nevertheless things get a little bumpy when Bailey runs into some danger while on duty. Add to that Henri is still working undercover to bust a drug cartel and it's criminal overlord. Can they survive these dangerous challenges to their new relationship? Will Bailey be able to move past Henri's confessions? Will Henri stay this time or leave like always?
It's a wonderful ending to Bailey and Henri's story and I'm glad that Ms. Frank did not drag it into a trilogy. As a reader, since we already knew Henri's past there was no huge climax to overcome. And although this was technically Bailey's Confessions book, we got POVs from both him and Henri which gave us a well rounded insight into their thoughts and emotions. This was also less angsty than the other Confessions books.. but the steam and sizzle 🔥💞was what we are used to from Ms. Frank💕😉
I loved 😍 the epilogue and their well-deserved HEA 💝. I highly recommend this book to all fans and followers of Ms. Frank, who like me have fallen in love with all the MCs in the Confession Series and are both happy for all their HEAs and sad to say goodbye to them all. But, the book did leave me curious about Xander and Sean (Bailey's detective brother).. is there something going on?😳🤔 Makes me wonder if this was truly the last in the Confession series or will we see a book about this bickering pair?🤩💕

LOVE this cover.

In this series: always a taste of unfinished stories.
This was rushed .
It wasn't really focused on Bailey.
These two guys grew more and more stronger till the "BIG" revelation.
A fairly fast resolution.

Henri is my favorite character in the Confessions Series.
He deserves so many beautiful things in this world.
He can do anything for the people he loves.
His love for Priest is honorable (even if I can't understand why Ella Frank tried to make Priest look like an asshole in this. I don't think Bailey can understand anything about Priest and Henri's relationship. Neither do I. So next.).
Bailey was...Bailey. Kind and all.
I don't know why but I love his brother more in this.
Sean, the big brother, the officer, the harda**. I really like his character and his big mouth!
I HOPE we're gonna hear about Sean soon.

And
and
and...
Where was my babies ? Tate and Logan! A book without them? WTH?
Missing them so much in his.

PS: really really dirty sex scenes... .
All Ella's guys are f****** good in (or) out the sheets.

Great end!
Can't wait about Ella Frank's next adventure.

I really hate to say it, but I didn't love this.

description

Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood for this but I was left craving more emotion from these two. So much of the story focused on their sexual chemistry, which is great, but I couldn't connect with the characters. The storyline with Bailey's brother, Sean, and Henri working together was a bit silly, Henri's continuous "he deserves better than me" started to get old, and there was a , that while I understood why it happened, I don't think it was written perfectly.

I found the ending a bit lackluster, as well, and never really felt Henri and Bailey's love. It makes me really sad, as I had highly anticipated this release. I love this world of characters and am excited about a potential upcoming spin-off, though, and can't wait to see who it'd be about.

These two men made this book a wonderful ending for this series.

Even though the romance was whirlwind(to say the least),I loved the connections they formed and the steamy times were not bad as well.

What I would've loved (and why this wasn't 5-Star) was for Henri and Priest to finally have THE TALK especially about the day he found out about Julien and Priest.. a lot of things went on then that I figure needed to be cleared out. The non-resolution of that made me feel a bit off.

Nonetheless, I loved this book and for the spin-off series to come next year, my body and wallet is READY.

“With you standing in front of me, why would I ever want to leave?”

I didn’t think it was possible to love characters this much.

When I first met Henri I was weary but his easy grin and flirty personality charmed me.

Then Bailey appeared and I couldn’t have imagined a more unlikely pair..
But they fit together perfectly - without drastic changes to the characters. Henri and Bailey were simply made for each other.

I loved this story so much. I dragged it out. I laughed. I cried (okay I sobbed) and it made my heart all fuzzy.
This book was everything I wanted, and more.

Ella is one of my favourite authors and I cannot wait to see what’s coming next from her.

🔥🔥🔥🔥/5 Heat!
I struggle with some of Ella Frank’s books. The Temptation series was not for me. I liked but didn’t love the first book in her Halo series. And even the first two in this series, “Robbie” and “Julien”, I wasn’t extra in love with. But when I got to the third book, “Priest”, I started to care about all of the guys more. And I knew that I needed a book or books for Priest’s ex, Henri. He was so dark, wild and broody. Yes, please!

We got Henri’s book not too long ago. It ended with a HFN, Henri and Bailey being together but Bailey in the dark about Henri’s criminal past. Naturally, all of that came to light in this book, “Bailey”, which is the last book in the Confessions series.

“Bailey,” was a good conclusion to a series that I, overall, really enjoyed. It was smoking hot and super sweet. Tempted to add a million stars for the stairs scene alone. The primary issue I have with Ella Frank books did come up. I’ll just say it. There isn’t a ton of real plot. What there is, is stretched thin. However, the love I have come to find with all the characters, made me ok with it. I was happy to just spend time in their company and see Henri get his HEA.

My friend Sophie and I are bets on who the spin off series will feature. Yes there will be a spin off of this spin off. 😂 Our guess is Bailey’s brother Sean and his ex, Xander. Thoughts?

Good googly moogly, I am so in love with Henri and Bailey that it’s taken me days—DAYS, I say—to wrap my brain around how to express how much I adored their romance.

The strong, loving, honest relationship that Henri and Bailey’s infatuation has grown into is simply amazing. Neither one knew what they were doing—neither one had ever been in such a situation, but damn did they figure it out!

I loved their banter. Their attraction to each other. And their devotion to making sure the other is happy and loved—in and out of the bedroom. *fans self*

I loved everything about Bailey. Everything.

But, honestly, I hate writing this review. Hate it because it means this is the end of the fantastic Confessions series and I’m not quite ready to let them all go. ~ Missy, 5 stars

*siiiiigh* This was fine, I guess... definitely better than the previous story, but what the hell was up with the last 1/4 of the story? I didn’t understand why Bailey needed to push Henri away because of what he confessed to him. He was the one who wanted to know about his past, and so when Henri finally tells him he... what? Ghosts him for almost two weeks?! Wtf? I didn't understand what he was even agonizing about. He understood why Henri did what he did, and after experiencing his own version of that same situation, his behavior made no sense to me. The conclusion was really sweet, though, so I can just pretend that part doesn't exist. 😆 3.5 stars

I enjoyed this conclusion to Henri and Bailey's story.

I think this book handled the potential angst well. It wasn't overdramatic and it isn't blown over either.

I enjoyed catching up with these two again and getting to see more of them together. They were starting to feel a little rushed, as they've only known each other like...about a few weeks, I think? And they were already at love, but I also felt that love between them at the same time. Their connection was strong.

There wasn't much plot to this second installment other than Henri having a small little adventure as Bailey's brother's CI and Henri having to confess his past to Bailey eventually and them dealing with the fallout. I didn't mind that there wasn't a ton of a plot, though, as I enjoyed these two together and just reading them together made me happy. But yeah, most of the plot was for the first book with these two.

Overall I enjoyed this and was happy to read the conclusion between these two. I would have liked more with the ending - just felt a tad abrupt - as well, but it didn't deter from my overall enjoyment of this book. Recommend this! :)
