Aces High MC - Charleston #3

The Princess and the Prospect

Rate this book
~Anna~
I was three weeks past my seventeenth birthday when I first saw him running like a dog, as prospects do, during a family club function. I knew he was far older than me since he’d served in the Army with my brother-in-law, Deck.
He was definitely too old for me in the eyes of everyone else.
I knew the rules, and I’d be breaking too many of them for this not to be trouble.
He was a prospect, making him off-limits.
I wasn’t even 18, making me off-limits.
I was also a club princess, daughter of the Vice President of the Aces High MC - Charleston Chapter. That, more than anything else, made me off-limits.
Still, I watched and waited for the moment when I could make myself unforgettable to him, because my heart had no limits, and it wanted Joker.

~Joker~
Prospecting for the MC was turning out to be a tougher gig than I had originally imagined. I wasn’t exactly known for taking blind orders well, or taking shit from anyone in my life, so undergoing prospect hazing was trying my last damn nerve. The never-ending line of patch-chasing females was sure to make the discomfort worth my wait. Then again, I wasn’t one to do easy conquests either. The shy cutie who had been staring at me all night from the corner seemed like just the challenge my worn down soul needed.
She was a challenge all right.
Nearly cost me everything in the end.
Now, I’m stuck with a liar, an old lady, and one crazy-ass impending shotgun wedding.

I liked a couple of books by this author but she needs new material. Like, enough is enough! In every damn book this is constant tirade, "I don't remember getting my dick wet because I was drinking too much." This is no excuse. If you can't handle your liquor and your dick, you should just quit them both. I am thoroughly disgusted and put off by MC romances thanks to this piece of shit excuse being thrown out there.
P.S.- And for the love of god can we get a damn book where the heroine is also enjoying and having awesome sex with some other guy? Like where is this goddamn rule book of romance novels? I want a fucking role reversal.

How people keep calling this poor excuse of sexist garbage as a book is far from my understanding. And this 5 stars fake reviews? I doubt that any women who raking this garbage sooo high would appreciate have another woman sucking their husbands cock on their marriage night right in front of them, so please stop with this ridiculous hypocrisy!

Rereading. I added a star.
This heroine literally fell from the clouds where she lived, as she was always treated like a princess and had her wishes fulfilled and was pampered by everyone. The reality and cruelty of life caught up with her in a less than gentle way. I think this hero was unworthy of forgiveness, but everything ended up being right and the little princess got her happy ending.

2 ⭐⭐ - Meh!
===============

“What’s up? Really? I’ve been waiting 45 fuckin’ minutes for this shit-show to get started. I’m done. They can come find me another day, when I’m not busy, and not being held up by their lying daughter doing God knows what in order to make her grand entrance.”

Instead, it felt false rolling around my head. I’d probably never say it out loud, because we weren’t really married. He’d made that clear when he refused to supply wedding rings, or even kiss me when the Justice of the Peace told him he could. No, what we were was a business transaction on paper only. The tears burning my eyes threatened to spill over again. I refused to let him see any more of them though.

I watched as Joker finished off a bottle of beer and tossed the empty into the trashcan near the pool table. Then he swatted one of the girl’s asses and she turned to head to the bar. She stood right beside me as she ordered two beers. One was for her and the other was for Joker.

Joker had his hand wrapped in a blond woman’s hair and the other firmly holding her waist close to his own. Their lips were locked in a steamy kiss that seemed to go on forever. Her hands were each buried in a back pocket of his jeans and his hair. The clinch they were in was more along the lines of what I’d expected at my own wedding when the Justice of the Peace informed Joker he could now kiss his bride.

Honestly, I don’t expect him to remember you were even here until sometime tomorrow anyway.”

“You told me to cuddle up with you after I sucked you off last night,” she said as her bottom lip poked out in a pout.

“Got your dick wet with some strange bitch on your wedding night while your pregnant, 17-year-old wife probably had a front row seat to you doing it. Once you wrap your head around that, maybe you can pull the stick out of your ass and realize people fuck up, and what you just did – it makes her mistake pale in comparison.

Even fast-forwarding through most of the night I could see the devastation on Anna’s face as she witnessed woman after woman pawing all over me as I did nothing to discourage it. Fuck.

The picture Melody sent was of the blond woman I’d seen making out with Joker last night right before I left with Merc. She was on her knees in front of him – my husband – on our wedding night. He had his fingers tangled in her hair and his head thrown back in ecstasy. The angle was just tilted to the side enough that I could see it hadn’t been faked. The woman on her knees in front of him had his dick in her mouth as her eyes were rolled up toward his face, seeking his approval or something.

You may have messed up by lying in the beginning, but that doesn’t give him the right to treat you like a punching bag for it.

The man that sat beside me watching me take everything in was cold, mean, and heartless. He was the man who cheated on me on our wedding night.

He didn’t’ even stay to see me safely inside or show me around.

My brother was right. Reality didn’t meet my expectations. It killed them, along with the dreams I’d had for my future.

Based on a GR friend’s review, I was expecting loads of angst. As a reader, I’m an angst seeker, and I found just enough of it here to keep me entertained; that’s why I’m rounding up to 3 Stars. However, the writing style didn’t suit me. I can’t really explain, but it wasn’t smooth. It didn’t flow. I don’t know, maybe it’s me and nothing to do with the quality of the writing. At any rate, I decided to overlook this issue because the story itself kept me turning the pages. Unfortunately, even that didn’t quite hit the mark. It ended up just being meh. Nevertheless, it had some juicy stuff I highly enjoyed, like the cheesy, angsty, soap opera moments. That’s why I love stories with cheating bastards—yeah, I said it. And this one gave a decent grovel. I was convinced he deserved a second chance.

Steam Factor: None, in my opinion.
HEA: Yes
This is an interconnected series (different couples) but I haven’t read the previous books. I went in knowing I’d probably be missing some background story.

The author reluctantly included a LENGTHY trigger warning/note explaining the cheating theme. You know, I think authors should just write what they want without explanations or apologies. There is not one single book out there that’s for everyone. And some reviewers love to hate on certain themes regardless of the book warnings. So, authors, you be you.

I found this story on a FB page, and since I'm a junkie for arranged marriage stories where the Hero is furious so he acts shitty to the heroine he's been forced to marry, I immediately downloaded this baby and it completely satisfied my angst cravings. I'm not usually one that enjoys stories where the characters are as young as 17, but this story worked for me because Anna didn't act like the typical immature 17/18 year olds I have read in other stories. I truly felt Anna's heartbreak and pain over the way her new husband treated her on her wedding night, as well as all the doubts she carried afterward that her new husband could ever love her or ever stay faithful to her in the future. The angsty feels were perfect for me. Evan (Joker) was truly cruel to Anna, and I loved experiencing all of it. He was such a bastard that I wasn't certain he could redeem himself but this author definitely made that happen, and I loved him completely by the ending. I totally read this story out of order (even though the author warned not to do this), so now I have to go back and start this series from the beginning. I'm excited to catch up on all the things hinted in book 3 that I missed in the previous two. I hope the first two are as good as this one, because this story was....

I enjoyed this book. I found it on Scribd. I did skip the others to read this one. Not sure if I will finish the series or not. There was some delicious angst. I enjoyed the the H being an absolute ass to the h. Their reconciliation was good and I felt the H did a suitable amount of groveling. I would’ve preferred to have them come together fully before the birth. All of the intimacy was in past flashbacks with none of them in the present. I needed some loving in the present! I was so happy they got their do-over though.

Emotional Ride

Anna and Joker went through one hell of an emotional ride. Anna just at 17 had lost her brother and found out she was pregnant.

Joker was angry and felt betrayed by her lies. They end up having a shotgun wedding so she will have insurance.

Low and behold the day of her wedding and Evan/Joker's actions will be some that will haunt her for a long time. We see their hardships and the journey to their happiness and birth of their child.

Oh my where to begin this review....I'm always dumbfounded and overwhelmed after I read a Christine Michelle book lol! My emotions are everywhere that's what kind of writer this author brings to the table. I am NEVER disappointed. I have loved every one of her books. I do suggest that you start with The Other Princess to get the character builds and storyline though. Highly recommend.

This book was so good I was gutted for the most of it. The things that Anna had to endure and with what she was feeling the whole time. She had so many dreams, so many musings of what she had planned for her future and a shot-gun wedding (pun intended) was NOT one of them. All I can say is if you are going to play with the big-dogs then you should be prepared to pay the consequences. Little did she know what that would bring it wasn't fairy tales and happy endings that's for sure.

Evan "Joker" is a Prospect of the club at the time of meeting Lise or is it Anna?? Little does he know that she's the club princess and what half truths will bring into his life. He's angry and confused and this is not what he had planned. His being so mad on his wedding day almost makes him lose it all.

The journey these two have to endure to get where they need to be is heartwrenching. I felt really sad for Anna on this journey of discovery and self worth. Don't fear though the journey is well worth it in the end. I found a song that resonates with Anna so give it a listen but here is the band and some of the lyrics I think that fits Anna and her journey.

Fivefold - Lost Within
And I know you're feeling low
Feel like you've lost control,
But the darkness you know,
It's not your home you're not alone
And all you've wanted
Was just so much more.....

Thank you again Christine for writing the world you create with such brilliantly done words. The emotions you bring out in this reader is just mind-boggling. So again thank you and can't wait for the next book.

I highly recommend this book.

DNF - made it 86% and could NOT take Anna's childish bullshit any longer.
Anna is a spoiled entitled brat. She has NO redeeming qualities.
Joker made a mistake - a BIG mistake, which he has apologized 4 times for already. Anna is a liar who continues to lie about Joker after they are married. She hurls accusations made up in her pathetic mind & calls him a liar over & over.
Anna wants to be a victim, when SHE is the one who can't tell the truth.
Anna throws at Joker that they aren't a real couple, they don't share a bed or have sex....well Anna that's because of YOU. But instead of acting like an adult, she uses that pathetic excuse to accuse him of cheating.
She insinuates in front of others twice that he's seeing, dating, or screwing other women - none of which were true.
Enough is enough. I wish I could rewrite this story so Joker was happy without Anna & Anna got what she deserved. A life being alone with her accusations & playing the victim.
Anna is the type of female that gives all women a bad name. She lies about her age & who she is, gets pregnant, then is the victim.
This stunt is how some men get incarcerated & lifetime sex offender status because the female lies about her age.

Both characters are horrible, the girl started with a lie, about her age, who she is, etc. just because everything has been handed to her, and she wants to rebel? until she got pregnant by the H, who agreed to marry, yet cheated on their wedding night and blame it on the alcohol, being angry etc. I kinda feel sorry at the hero, at first, because he was lied to, and it looks like he was manipulated by the spoiled brat princess who they say is selfless, LOL, but then he became a jerk and blames it on others and I have not found him redeeming at all. I don't ever want to belong to their MC, where the guys can cheat and disrespect the women and their brothers look the other way, then they claim that they are all family, LOL This is the last book of the series I am going to read, as I am very disappointed with the characters of this MC.

Gotta say love this series but this book annoyed the hell out of me for so many reasons not least cos I couldn't stand both the H and h!

This is why I dont read ya or books where the h is a fucking teenager cos they drive me mad with their immaturity. I dont want to read stories about teenagers tbh. They hold no interest to me at all. I read this out of loyalty to the series.

Can we please have some older h otherwise you're gonna write me out of your fan club!!

I am not usually a crier when I read. However, I have cried in every book in this series. If you have gotten me to the point of tears and I need to get a tissue, I have to say "Well done. Excellent read!" This is my favorite chapter in the Aces High MC. Can't wait for more

This was cool. I won’t read the others but I did like this. 3 stars is Average. It was the best thing ever but I did like the story and outcome.

I didn’t read any of the first books so I don’t know the entire story but I defn understood enough from the authors recaps which were done in a very subtle way. I love when authors do that and it works. Perfect.

Good stuff.

I nearly added this to my “can’t make me read” list and returned for refund BUT I finished BECAUSE I freaking bought the book

First, let’s move off the girl and stop blaming her for her behavior. She’s 17...17!!! You may have been an adult at 17 but sadly that’s not how this author wrote Anna. Selfless, family dedicated, a bit immature we’re just a few of the descriptions that were spot on. She’s still 17 and has led a pretty sheltered life, she doesn’t want to burden anyone with the baby she knows is her responsibility.

Joker was an ass. He is an ADULT, served in the military is an active prospect to the MC he’s a FREAKING ADULT and acted like an immature selfish POS because he was forced to marry the girl he was falling if love with. Forced is a cop out since he was given an out and didn’t have to marry her. Instead he does just to destroy her special say, make out with a few club whores and after Anna is taken home by a ling time friend of her father, he then gets a blow job that’s photographed.

Why did none of the brothers to the freaking VP who is Anna’s father not put a stop to his disrespect? Who took the photo that was sent to Anna? Why were they not punished?

I can’t rate the book any lower or higher. Joker is a man you love to hate, what he did is unforgivable but he tried to redeem himself and it may be enough for some readers but not me. I knew going in the was a cheating book so it’s not fair to the author to slam her work when I knew what to expect.

Anna is 17, just turning 18. I don’t know if she will grow up eventually but I wanted more fire, anger, passion from her.

This one wasn't great too. 🗑🗑 I keep reading books in this series because I'm waiting for it to get better, but it really doesn't. 😭
Now this had the awful cheating trope in it which I hate. However this situation was clearly different then the usual cheating aspects. As both Anna (h) and Joker (Evan the H) weren't really together. Their marriage was initially an agreement because of their one night stand which resulted in a pregnancy.

Now I was very indifferent about Anna. She was literally just a spoilt brat to me. She was the sister of the h in the first book, so I didn't have the best impression of her already but this cemented it. This girl truly had her head in the clouds and was blatantly immature. 🙄🙄 I also hated her non existent feelings on what her sister went through. She only addressed that at the end of the book, where she admitted how oblivious she was to how differently her sister was treated compared to her. Anyways she was just annoying and I truly felt sorry for Evan (H) and he completely deserved someone else. ✋️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Also this Author should really try writing books with strong Heroines and not these doormat onces and Hero's that can keep their dick in their pants. 🙄

Cheating = day of their marriage, H gets BJ from OW along with seeing the H with multiple OWs hanging all over him

h sees H with OW = h saw multiple OW hanging all over H, got to see H having a heavy make out with OW who later gave H the BJ which some kind soul was good enough to take a picture of and send directly to the h

OW drama = minimal, OW who gave oral stopped by h's house and tried to cause some drama; h shut her down well and good and was able to shove it in the H's face (liked it)

MC = it's there, not integral part of the story

Amazing

This book was heartbreaking as maybe in the same position I wouldn't have been able to forgive him as Anna did joker. I love that we are getting to see everyone from the first book played out along the same time line I'm hooked to this world that the author has created so much I've pre ordered the six book that is coming out I can't wait.

I feel the need to write a review of this book because I see that it got a lot of bad reviews for the cheating part of the plot. And those reviewers are wrong, I think.

The reason I can’t give it above 3 stars has nothing to do with that – it’s because Anna and Evan didn’t really grab me as characters. Their story is just okay, and Anna is "meh" as a heroine. So, 3 stars for that, but honestly 5 stars for the cheating aspect of the book.

I completely understand why cheating in books is a dealbreaker for a lot of people. It usually is for me, too! That’s why I was so pleasantly surprised by how it was handled in this book.

First of all, while Evan/Joker IS a gigantic dick to Anna and did cheat, I don’t think it’s as bad as it is in 99% of other books that feature this subject matter. The extent to which they were a real couple and “together” at the time is kind of shaky. It’s not as if he cheats on her in the middle of a loving relationship that they’ve been in for a while. But also, he does not do it consistently. He does it one time at the beginning of the story (which doesn't excuse him, but is much easier to take than if he did it numerous times). And then the REST of the book is devoted to grappling with the fallout. The story doesn’t skip over the wrench this throws in their relationship, or what it does to her psychological state, or his recognition of his role in causing her harm.

There is an adequate amount of both groveling AND him owning up to what he did, and both of them truly grappling with his actions and what it means for them to move forward.

Honestly, this book has me thinking that the reason other cheating books are often bad isn’t because of the actual cheating part, but rather because most authors simply don’t do it well.

Any book can tackle a difficult subject like cheating and still be a good book as LONG as it actually, truly tackles it. Too many books feign at it, but they end up featuring the bad thing (such as cheating) and then the author just skips past dealing with the aftermath, leaving a bad taste in your mouth as the characters get a happily ever after that feels unearned. This book does NOT do that.

The book itself is just okay, but the cheating part of the plot is one of the best I’ve ever read at handling this subject matter.

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 Gripping & Heartfelt!

The Princess and the Prospect
Aces High MC - Charleston, Book 3
By: Christine Michelle
Narrated by: Sarah Puckett, Tim Paige

Christine Michelle continues to wow me with her “Aces High MC” series. I was looking forward to Anna’s story after meeting in her in the first book, Ever’s story, “The Other Princess”. We get to see who she really and how much she has grown as a person in this book. She crushed on Joker but her brother warned her away and to wait, she did not wait very long and finds herself facing the consequences of her actions. Pregnant and with a man who was forced to marry her. Joker had no clue that Anna was the MC Prez’s daughter or that she was only 17, he was really into her until he found out she lied to him. He steps up to do the right thing and marries her anyway, but it is far from a happy beginning for them. My heart broke for Anna, though she was a trooper and making the best of the situation I still felt she was living a life a broken dreams. I was proud of her for moving on and looking to the future for herself and her baby. When Joker starts to open his eyes and realize the error of his ways he wants to make things right but it may just be too late for him. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story contains a lot of heart and is beautifully plotted. I was happy to see Ever was there supporting Anna, it was also great to see the other characters from earlier book too. Christine Michelle that you for another great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Sarah Puckett and Tim Paige are mega talented narrators and versatile voice artist. They are awesome at portraying the characters, giving each their own distinct voice and personality. Sarah Puckett played Anna’s role with perfection, she brought out all of her emotions, Tim Paige did the same for Joker. Bother were great performing the voices of the secondary characters as well. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

I read this a few months back and I didn’t write a review because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to say about it. I moved on to the killing ride and I guess I forgot to come back to review this story. While I liked the overall book I didn’t like the FMC. I felt like she was so narcissistic that she thought it was okay to put the MMC into a position that could have landed him in jail and or turn sec offender’s registry, which would have ruined his life. All because she felt he was hers and why wait now that adult reality hit her in the death of her brother and so life was too short. Granted grief can make anyone young or old do crazy things but damn, it really just came of as her selfishness. She wants it so she gets it.

Other than that, she was smart, strong, independent, and I would have loved her if not for the above impression she left me with.

I don’t feel like it’s gray area cheating either. They were together until the MMC felt betrayed BUT he “chose” to get married. He was offered several options and he chose that one because he really wanted to be with her despite his hurt feelings and the bs he was thinking about it. So he outright cheated because he was still in his feelings about the betrayal. And he wanted to make a “minor” pay. That was so perfectly clear. Idc, how bad he felt afterwards that was his intentions from the moment he decided to marry her. He had every intention of making her suffer. But when his friends pointed it all out and in his drunken mind he thought he was with her when morning came cleared up his real desire to be with the FMC for him, only then did he start to make amends. Even that was short lived too.

When he wasn’t getting back into her good graces fast enough he gave up then too. Excuse me, Mr cheater on a child! He disillusioned her so badly while pregnant and he wonders why she can’t trust or forgive him!?! They needed counseling! And he wasn’t trying anything. Her for her grief and her feelings surrounding his f#€k up and him for the situation he was in, falling and impregnating a minor.

It was a good book, but not my favorite. So far none of them are. I love the Dakota’s series better. Good luck.

Anna is the youngest daughter to Double-D and that makes her an MC Princess. She has always lived in a world of dreams and fantasies. At some point she set her sights on Evan 'Joker' a Prospect for the MC, who is older than her. Her brother Toby made ber promise she wouldn't do anything until she was of legal age and he would support her choices if they were both still single. When tragedy happens, Anna decides she doesn't want to wait any longer and starts to pursue Joker. She invents a new persona for herself, so not to get either one of them in trouble. What could go wrong with this plan?? Anna is caught at the club by her father and later finds out she is pregnant. A shot gun wedding and some really bad events lead to Joker and Anna being married by paper only. Anna can't get over all of the emotional damage Joker has inflicted on her. Joker is trying to do the best he can at earning her trust and forgiveness, but it's like every step forward pushes them back ten steps. All Anna ever wanted was a perfect marriage and a husband who loved her. Joker is trying his hardest to prove all of the worst thoughts and fears Anna is having are not true. Her family isn't helping matters, because they just want to come in and take her away, but she does want to be a burden on anyone. This book deals with so many issues of love, heartbreak, dishonesty, lies, teen pregnancy, trust issues, and just trying to rebuild a relationship, because the love is still there it's just a matter of getting past or being able to put it behind you all the hurt that was done in anger and frustration. I really believe this was a truly powerful read and had me in almost tears at some points at how hard one person was willing to work to regain the trust of someone he loved and how much he was willing to take to show her he was serious and wanted her to be the one for him.

This book was a bit disappointing after reading The Other Princess. While I didn't love every part of that book, I did love it overall. The conflict in this book just wasn't as satisfying for me. The explanation for why Anna lied in the beginning is just so weak to me. I found it annoying how we are supposed to sympathize with her, "oh, she just wanted something for her own that wasn't the clubs". even though Evan quite literally was the clubs. I don't know how she didn't expect that would blow up in her face in the end. I think it just shows her immaturity. I also must admit that I didn't like Anna after The Other Princess. Obviously, Anna isn't a bad guy, but I do find it skeptical she never noticed how Ever was treated in all those years. She just seems like a spoiled child who hasn't really grown up yet (SHES ONLY 17!).

Plus, I do love the drama and the conflict scenes in my books. They just weren't satisfying and as full of angst for me here. Anna is there to witness Evan's actions on their wedding night but it wasn't really a punch to the gut. There were so many scenes of dialogue in The Other Princess that really hit you. I know it's not fair to compare the book so much to The Other Princess, but I can't help it.

I also wish we had gotten to see Anna and Evan actually together. We were told things got better for friendship and trust again (making dinner and watching movies, whatever whatever) but we didn't get to see that for ourselves. We also didn't see their relationship grow romantically. I think I'm going to try Christine's other series and give this one a break.

OMG....................................
I was pulled into this book right from the beginning, staying there until I had read every single word that was written. I also got my mini movie playing along in my head.
Twists, turns and surprises occur through out this book. Some of the surprises you may see coming, while other you won't. Some of the surprises are large, while others are small. Some may pull on your heart strings, some may even hit you square in the face. But each and every surprise holds equal importance within making this book the awesome read that it is.
Each and every single emotion that the characters can be felt and then some. I went through the emotions with each of characters, but in all honesty I probably got more frustrated than the characters as there was a time or two I wanted to slap a few of the characters, but in the end they redeemed themselves.
I highly recommend Christine Michelle as an author and I highly recommend this book, if you are a fan of MC books and haven't read this book, I personally don't think you will regret it.
I have just found this book on Audible, I will be getting it.
I have just got this book on Audible and I have to admit I enjoyed it just as much as I did when I read it. This book is in my go to file.

As a reader sometimes I actually wondered what's going on in the author's head, I know it's a weird thing to do but when an Author come up with a brilliant story like this your mind wonders😊. These two characters bit off more they can chew, start off with a lie that went too far, ended up with heartbreak, lies, betrayal. Joker And Lise had to trust their own mind, heart to get through their pain, communication plays a big role in life, without it you have crapshoot. Although this is a fiction, but their story speaks to me in a way I understand, love is kind, love is patient and these two learn it the hard way. This is an emotional read, that'll get you mad at everyone but you will be smiling at the end of the book, I love author Christine Michelle, she always takes me somewhere else when I read her books, it feels like I'm watching a real live show. Phenomenal read and a definite recommendation from me.

I knew this book was going to be hard for me . This author has a way of breaking my heart every time I read any of her books like no one else can. That being said it’s what makes her so talented . For a reader to be able to feel the character’s pain is not something every writer can accomplish . This book is about Anna who is Ever’s sister and Double D and Lucy’s younger daughter . You have to read the books previous to this one to understand everything going on . I love this author’s writing style . It keeps you on the edge of your seat but the way she unfolds the story hooks the reader from the first page . Anna and Joker’s story isn’t easy at all . In fact it is painful but once they get their lives together it’s so worth it . I loved Anna . She was sweet and so selfless .
Joker was not my favorite . In fact I wanted him to suffer much more than he did but their HEA gave me peace . You can’t miss this Mc romance . This series is unlike anything you will ever read .

This is the third book of the Aces High MC - Charleston Series. You have to listen to this Series in order. Anna and Joker's story is emotional, and filled with misunderstandings, disrespect, lies, and immature behavior. It was difficult to keep an open mind with these two. At first, they weren't my favorite couple of the Series, at all. Before he redeemed himself, Joker was an immature jerk. Fortunately, he was able to fight for Anna, and their future. Anna was the spoiled child of the family, but she demonstrated that she could be strong, determined, and caring. I love how they reached their HEA. The family spirit in this story is strong and wonderful. The MC Club part is well developed. Sarah Puckett and Tim Paige did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, The Killing Ride.
