Skyler and Mal's were a cute couple and the way they started to fall in love was sweet and touching. I also loved to catch up on what was happening to the rest of the family. I enjoyed their story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Romance, clean; Series, but stand alone read although characters from other novels appear Skyler and Mal's marriage and fall was a sincere, honest, heartfelt, and sweet romantic read. L.I. knows how to get in her character's minds and hearts and make their worries and aspirations, concerns, failures, heartbreak, and problems along with their successes, kindnesses, love, emotions, and attractions come out so well. Skyler's feelings of insecurity based on his past disappointments, his wanting to help Mal out of her bad situation and immigration problems, their friendship, attraction and mutual care for each other was a such a gorgeous read. Intermingle parents, brother's and their wives, and lots of family emotions, gatherings, misunderstandings, and wonderful moments, and this gorgeous family saga and story about Mal and Skyler was a perfectly gorgeous read. Can't wait to read Micah and Simone's story! I actually read/re-read (somehow I hadn't read them all) all of the series on K.U. after getting this copy to savor it all again and get all the details and moments. I received a copy from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review. My opinions are my own.

Skyler’s Wanna Be Wife is book 6 in the Seven Sons Ranch in Three River by Liz Isaacson and these stories get better and better!
While each book is a standalone with a different couple about their trials, problems, emotions and navigating through life...you also see the interaction between the rest of the family and how they help each other to live a life centered around faith, hope and love!!
Can’t wait for the last brother to find his HEA Micah’s and am thinking it might be a wild ride!!
Skyler's Wanna-Be Wife is book 6 in the Seven Sons Ranch Romance series. It tells the story of Skyler and Mal's reason for marriage and how they too find a forever love. But, there is a suspenseful event that puts the faith and the love of the entire Walker family on red alert and changes the easy going life they had been living to a very fearful day to day existence. There is more babies and still more to come. They still have their Christmas decorations event and their family get togethers and Mommy says there is no other group of women she would rather be friends with than her new daughters. Both Gideon and Penny feel that each son, no matter the reason their marriage started, know there sons and daughter-in-laws are deeply in love with each other and they love their parents unconditionally.
She needs a new last name to stay in school. He's willing to help a fellow student. Can this wanna-be wife show the playboy that some things should be taken seriously?
Mallery Viera only has two semesters left to finish her degree. But her green card has expired, and she accidentally filed the wrong paperwork to renew it. In order to stay in the country and finish her education, she needs to get married.
When she pours out her heart to Skyler Walker, she has no idea who she's talking to. He's just the man she's known for a couple of years that makes her laugh, the man she runs with in the morning, the man she may have crushed on a time or two. She doesn't know about his billions in the bank, or the sprawling ranch in Three Rivers, or the five brothers who've managed to turn their fake marriages into lasting happiness.
He figures he might be able to do the same, and he tells Mal he'll marry her. She's shocked, but desperate enough to go along with the plan. As she spends more time with the real Skyler Walker, she realizes Skyler has more to offer than just laughs and a new last name. He's got plans and dreams too, and Mal finds herself wanting to help him just as he has her.
Can Mal and Skyler take their relationship past the superficial to find a deep happily-ever-after?
I really like the Walker Brothers - I actually met Wyatt in a different series and decided I needed to read this one. Don't try to read them as stand-alone books - you'll be lost, but it's fun keeping up with everyone as you go along. Two things that bug me personally - 1) the guys appear to wear their hats in the house - I'm of the generation that considers that rude. 2) perhaps it's just picky but in their prayers they use the phrase bless *** to do something, it goes against my understanding of the word - to me it should be "help". These two things make me "squirmy" but not enough to not read and enjoy the stories.
Things I love - the interactions of a large family; the willingness to talk to their Dad about things; the enfolding of the ladies into the group.
Not sure if the storyline ended or if it will carry over to the next book ... going to find out!
Like the other stories in this series, Skyler marries to help Mal stay in the states. The two have been friends for a couple of years but never dated or tried to move to the next level. With Skyler feeling he does not belong in the family or with anyone, and Mal feeling inadequate financially, it does not seem things will work for them like it has for the other Walker cowboys. This book is packed with family drama, babies, animals, health, aging parents, and love. The characters learn to deal with the circumstances, lean on family, and forgive. Life is short so keep short accounts with everyone. I highly recommend this book and series. I purchased this book at a discount price and have chosen on my own to given an honest review.
Mal and Sky have been friends for two years and she wishes sometimes that she could move out of the friend zone and be something more. There's nothing that she can do as she doesn't want to lose Sky as a friend. However, one day before Thanksgiving she opens the envelope that will determine her future and gets bad news. She filed the wrong paperwork! Sky finds her in her kitchen crying. So he does what he has wanted to do for some time. What is it that he does? What paperwork did Mal not file correctly? How will things work out? You will need to read this great story by Liz Isaacson to find out! So much happens and not just with these two! You may even cry.
Here I am at 54 reading a bit of fluff romance! Oh what a good bit of romance it was though. So refreshing to have no descriptive love scenes but just hinted at. I knew they were getting together and yet when trouble arises I was slightly not sure. I loved the whole seven brothers books because they were wholesome and harkened to a time when men knew how to treat a lady. I loved the faith in God woven throughout the book also. If you want a great romance read look no further than this brother and his six others!
Goldilocks when the skin you are in doesn't fit just right - keep trying until it fits just right. That the fairytale here!
Skylar was withdrawn and feeling like the black sheep of the family - a great book when someone feels left out/ not fitting in. Amazing doing something for a friend can be so amazing gift for oneself. Mal immigrant and her futures at risk. Marriage for conveyance/green card worth a risk. Moving story. V0, S1 clean romance more reviews @ my2centsbooklover Thanks!
Skyler lived in Amarillo, going to college there to become an accountant. He led a highly social life, playing at being a partner. He had a great friend Mallory, who was attending the same college. She worked two jobs to support herself and pay rent on a rundown apartment. She was Mexican, and was in trouble because she had filed the wrong papers for her Green card. They were giving her a hearing and would probably deport her. She was very sad, and Skylar wanted to help her. Another wanna-be wife, must read to see what happens next.
Skylar’s Wanna-Be Wife: Christmas Brides for Billionaire Brothers; Seven Sons Ramch in three Rivers Romance Book 6 is by Liz Isaacson. Although this book, too, is predictable, it is also set up in with a review of the past book and then continues with Skylar’s story. Skylar feels he is the blacksheep of the family and yet he is the one being who seems to be holding the family together. The book is easy to read and can be read in only a few hours.
This book was sweet and a nice part of the series. I have really enjoyed reading about this family and all the brothers and this one was no different. I did feel like Skyler had been distant from the family and on his own until now. I liked reading his story and learning more about him and his feelings.
Mal was super sweet and I liked them together. The book was sweet and clean. There wasn't swearing, sex or anything else inappropriately.
Every one of these books in this series has been amazing. The fact that these characters are not perfect and then they grow in the Lord's graces through prayer and by becoming humbled is incredibly good and it makes for a terrific book to read. I've really enjoyed these books so much that I referred them to my sister, Lynn Kupser. She's now read every book in this series and has moved on to Glover Family Saga (Shiloh Ranch).
Skyler’s Wanna Be Wife is a cute Christian cowboy romance about a billionaire who marries an immigrant to help her stay in the country. This is part of a series and works best with the other books as part of the story is in the previous books, and the previous books’ stories continue in this one. Some of the conflict feels forced, and not everything works well, but overall, the book is well worth listening to or reading.
I had a free copy of this book, but this is my honest and voluntary opinion. Skylar Walker asks his friend, Mallery Viera to marry him when he discovers she failed to file the needed paperwork for her green card, and can’t afford to get her car fixed so she can get to work. They both decide to quit school and move to Three Rivers to be with his family. Great story of a growing love, acceptance, and self-concept. I highly recommend it.
With all the brothers getting married in fake marriages, you would think this series would get boring… but it doesn’t!! Skyler & Mal’s story was one of my favorites. The way Liz Isaacson integrates each brother’s story through every book (ex. chapters from Micah’s POV in Skyler’s book) make this series addicting. You can’t help but get attached to each member of this family. Can’t wait to read Micah & Simone’s book!
This is another good book by Liz. I am thoroughly enjoying this series. The Walker family is fabulous, kind, caring and faithful. It is refreshing to read romance that is not pornography. I like that Skyler looked for help and went for counseling when he realized he had some issues.
Great book. I wish there were more brothers, so the series could continue. I loved that the characters were more than just descriptions. You could understand their feelings of inadequacy and their humanity. I also like that the characters rely on their faith as Christians. I really felt like they were real people.
Every story Liz writes draws you in like you are also part of the family she is writing about. I I find myself drawing extra breaths while reading cause I never know what will n happen next. Love her books
A lot happened in this book. I love how the book is about Skyler, but we learn about all the brothers. She has done this in every book of the series and it makes you feel like you are part of the family. Another great book. Clean romance.
Skyler had been thru alot before and now he has Mal and they are married. Just like all the brothers who started out as fake marriages turned into a real one. The Walker's support all their family members no matter what. Reading the last book now.

What an incredible family. You have to love these sweet men and their commitment to God and family. The women they find are the perfect match. So glad that Skyler has rejoined them and that he and Mal have such a loving relationship. Six down and one to go!
This was a great series on the ranch of the Seven Sons , overspending or call even if they all started out to be back marriage. All this forgot a family that deceptively ad true love comes through.
Formulaic. While this series provides escapism and easy reads, they all follow the same formula of scared people using the "fake" scenario to hide their true feelings instead of being honest about how they really feel.
The same series the same premise but each book is different, a good different. This book is interesting and entertaining abounds! I love that each book is a stand alone volume and each makes me hungry to get to the next one.
Bit of a cliff hanger with the immigration issue for Mal. Solar finds his footing in this story and as strong of a bond that this family has, they realize how things can change in an instant
Another brother makes the leap from fake to fantastically happy.
I have enjoyed this entire series of stories. I especially like how the author blends the storyline and characters throughout the book. Can't wait to read the final book of this series.
Lovely romantic stories about complex relationships that all blossom in enduring love and happy endings. The characters are warm and the family live depicted is realistic and delightful. Perfect lockdown reading
Another amazing read by Liz Isaacson. She has you praying, laughing and crying along with the people in the books. Her character profiles are so realistic you can see these people being your neighbors. Definitely worth the read if you like good clean romance.
