They were just actors auditioning for a play. The marriage was just for the audition – until a clerical error results in a legal marriage. Can these two ex-lovers negotiate this new ground between them and achieve new roles in each other's lives?
Simone Foster has been breaking out of her normal routines more and more lately, and that includes joining the Three Rivers Theater Group. She's been in several plays but has never landed the lead role. But she's not going to give up, and she's thrilled when she makes the cut for the lead. Just one more audition to go...
Micah Walker is new to acting, but he's not new to his heartrate accelerating every time he sees Simone. They've tried a relationship three times, and he joined the Theater Group just to be near her. He and Simone audition for the play — a marriage scene, complete with a kiss — but it's not real, even if he's thought about what being married to her would be like.
Then his brother comes over with a marriage certificate, and Micah and Simone learn that the preacher, who was also auditioning for the play, accidentally filed the paperwork from the play along with his real marriage license applications.
She and Micah are married. It was an accident and easily undone, but neither of them want to undo anything. As they navigate this new ground between them, can they rely on their faith – and each other – to discover if they can have a real, lasting, meaningful marriage?

Simone has had feelings for Micah since he moved to Three Rivers and the Seven Sons Ranch with his brothers. Only she is having a little trouble with the age difference since she's a few years older than him. Micah on the other hand doesn't see a problem with it! He sure does like Simone, however, she keeps pushing him away. The last time they dated for four months and for some reason she didn't want anyone to know. So he broke it off and met someone at church, Ophelia. Ophelia is pretty and likes going out with him - in public and even holding his hand! So when Simone runs into them at HomeLife one night and even though she knew he was dating it hurt her something fierce! Micah has been dating Ophelia for about 7 months and has even taken her to some family functions so when she breaks up with him, he is confused for awhile, but then understands how she feels because it's the same way he's been feeling about Simone. He figures to give Simone one more try. Ok so the third time's supposed to be the charm according to the old saying, but he's really hoping it will be the fourth! What happens next? They are both auditioning for the same play and they have to fill out the mock paperwork for a marriage license, only Pastor Daniels is also auditioning for the part of the preacher. What could possibly go wrong - right? Only one way to find out what happens, and what they decide to do about it once they find out! Read this great story by Liz Isaacson so much happens you will even shed a tear or more.
Seven sons, seven fake weddings. These seven books takes you through so much love, trying times, knowing what you want and praying to God to help you, if it was God’s will. Along with a mother and father, with their faith and love for their sons, makes these books so much inspiring. The parents didn’t get to see all 7 of her sons get married, but Simeon’s wedding was extra special. All the daughter in laws loved their mother in law, whom had a very special relationship with them. So at Simone and Micah guess you would say renewing their wedding vows the proper way she made it possible for all seven sons and wives be walking down the aisle. And Penny (the mother) says this in the last book which sums it up. “ nothing she seen had been fake. Her sons loved their wives, the wives loved their sons.Momma’s love for Simone doubled then tripled, because Simone knew that her mother in law wanted to be there for all of her son’s weddings and she planned this just for her. Liz story writing is so remarkable, you fall in love with the people, as you read the stories you honestly feel like you are part of the book and you feel the love of the family. You are so impacted that you are the person she has wrote about. It is a heartfelt, loving, God living, book. Deserves way more than 5 stars.
What a delightful series this was! I love the series concept and one with seven brothers had connections in it that doesn’t happen all the time. This was highlighted when Momma and Daddy moved back near the brothers. After I knew the way Liz Issacson showed how Sky and Mal would marry, I started to wonder how she was going to get Micah and Simone married. I kept thinking throughout Sky book. But when it happened, I laughed and laughed. Something totally out of the ordinary and surprises all around.
I read the entire series like I eat popcorn! One right another after another…and it was excellent. Let’s just say I did a lot of reading in the past eight days and I enjoyed it all. Very satisfying. I have Gideon’s Precious Penny to read next and then I start on the Glover family. I think Liz has nailed the cowboy genre expect any of her books in that genre to be excellent. A true five star experience. And I must mention reading the books in order make for a fuller experience of understanding and enjoyment.
This is book seven of the Seven Sons Ranch in Three Rivers series and continues the story of Micah Walker and his girlfriend Simone Foster. This is the fourth time Micah has attempted a serious relationship with Simone. Each of their former relationships ended after Simone couldn’t commit and Micah wasn’t really ready. All of his other brothers are now married and he is getting a bit tired of being the odd one out. This time he has joined the local theatre group, to get closer to Simone, after breaking up his recent relationship, when his girlfriend said he was still in love with Simone and needed to sort himself out and figure out what he truly wanted.
He knows he wants Simone and this time he needs to do more to get serious. They both audition for multiple parts in the new play, with Simone hoping she could finally get a lead role, but end up happy with the other roles they end up with. They, along with three other pairs of amateur actors, are asked to practice a marriage scene as part of the audition process, to work out who works best together for the characters. Two pairs go first and then once the local preacher, also applying for parts in the play, returns from a phone call, he takes over as the part of the audition. Only problem is they all fill out a very realistic marriage application as part of the scene and theirs gets taken away in error.
Micah is in the process of building his own dream home across the road from the main ranch, on a small piece of land he has bought solely to do this. He has a new business, building dream homes and doing all the inside carpentry for them as well, and will be using his own home as a show piece. Whilst he is doing this, he is staying with one of his brothers. His brother turns up with a real marriage certificate and asks him what this is about! It seems the audition marriage scene has ended up in an error, but what Micah and Simone will do now, so soon in their fourth attempt to get together, when this has happened, is for the rest of the book to show us.
There is a lot of background stories about the other brothers, their wives and the extended family as well. It is the last book in this series, but there will be more about the characters in the next series the author is writing, based nearby. The fact that all seven of the brothers have ended up with fake marriages, all for different reasons, is a hard one to swallow, but each storyline is completely different and unique and can show how relationships can still succeed against all odds. Love, family and faith are all these characters have needed to become who they are by the end of this series. A lovely story, which completes the whole family tree and will still leave for further tales to be told in a future series. I have loved reading all the books I have so far in this series and look forward to reading more from this author. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Even when you know they are the one & life can be difficult to navigate & hold onto the one you love - this is a story for dating, Rocky & renewing love!
Micah one of the 7 brothers of Walker 7 Sons Ranch. The sons are driven that is for sure and balancing work & life is a challenge most of us face. This love story really drives home how we get make a lot of excuses but thinking about our priorities & putting those that love you the most is the most important lesson in life. Simone a independent woman has the gift making trash into treasures. Taking the neglected & unloved and giving them the gift of being the shinning star. I love it. The love story that perfect is over rated & being you and fighting for love huge. V0, S1 clean romance. More reviews @my2centsbooklover Thank you!
Micah's Mock Matrimony is book 7 in the Seven Sons Ranch in Three Rivers Romance series. This wedding has to be the craziest of all 7 fake marriages. But, not only does the wedding take place very early in the book we also have more babies, grief in losing a loved one, an unexpected wedding, someone become pregnant which definitely was a good surprise and ended on a high note of Mommy and Daddy Walker seeing the one thing they had missed living out of the country so long. The one thing we can say about the Walker family, is they are close, loud, and constantly growing in numbers! A wonderful series that I would highly recommend to anyone that enjoy cowboys, falling in love, and finding the faith in God again that some of them had felt they lost and the need of a family to make each marriage feel whole.
I can't praise you enough for taking me on such a beautiful journey. I will treasure these stories forever and I'm actually going to read the entire series again because I'm not ready to move on, I shall miss them. I love every character and, like you, it would be difficult to choose a favorite. I cried so many happy tears. I felt sorrow and exhilaration! I admire the beautiful way you create these storylines and the depth of each character. I'm sure you are treasured among your family and friends. So, from my heart I thank you for the joyous experience you created. <3
I had a free copy of this book, but this is my honest and voluntary opinion. Micah has wanted to date Simone Foster for a long time, but she keeps breaking up with him. She’s not sure she wants to date a Walker brother as her two sisters did, but she doesn’t want to be left alone either, and none of her other relationships have worked out. Micah’s last girlfriend broke up with him because he’s really interested in Simone. Micah decides to try acting to be with Simone more, and unknown to them, after an audition where they get married, the pastor actually files the paperwork for their marriage. A great read!
What a way to end the series. We got plenty of Micah and Simone since this was their story, but we also got to check in with all the other couples a few more times. Personally, I love seeing so much crossover when I read romance series like this. I really like seeing how all the other couples mentioned throughout the series are doing and you definitely get that here with these fabulous Walker brothers and their wives. Also, that epilogue was just great. I'm going to miss this family!
I thoroughly enjoyed this series. The Walker family is great. Micah is another strong man, kind, caring who loves the Lord. Through the series I felt like Simone was spoiled. I just felt that she kept stringing Micah along. She is a very driven person and works hard, but couldn't make up her mind about Micah. Because his brothers were married to her sisters. She won me over when forgave Micah for working so much.
I truly enjoyed this book, here you have seven brothers and seven brides. Micah and Simone are married by mistake, different from his brothers fake marriages, and they decide to make a go of it. It gets better from there. The author pulls everyone’s story together and gives you the HEA for all. My favourite part was the real wedding at the end. Oh my! I highly recommend this series and this book.
It really was a lovely series. But I must admit that I found the back and forth between all the brothers and all their wives on top of reading about this couple was exhausting, I really found it hard to keep all the separate families set in my head with out getting confused.
In so saying, the epilogue is brilliant. It ties up all the loose ends and gives their mum the one thing she always wanted. Nah uh, I’m not telling. You will need to read it for yourself
I received this as a complimentary copy and I am giving my honest review voluntarily
Sweet and nice final book to this series about this family. Micah and Simone did sometimes have trouble communicating but I feel like that is a common problem with couples and they worked through it. I also liked how the rest of the family was included in this story and there were ups and downs just like a normal family. Micah was sweet and it is fun to see a third sister finally give in to a Walker brother charm.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the entire Seven Sons series. With each book you grew with this amazing family of brothers. It felt as if you were part of the family as well. I really enjoyed how the author continued to bring a bit of each brothers relationships into the storyline. I didn't feel as if I was reading seven different stories but rather an ongoing adventure of this wonderful family. I look forward to reading more of Liz's work.
I've read all seven books of the Walkers and Micah is my favorite! Simone I thought was a huge mood bag of emotional hurricane but Much dealt with her with much love and prayers. Through it all they made it through. Overall great story of imperfect people who care and respect each other. I did cry off and on mostly because I saw my own BIG LOUD family within the pages. Thank you Ms. Liz 🌹🌸🌼
Micah’s Mock Matrimony is a sweet cowboy billionaire romance that is part of the Seven Sons series. I didn’t really feel like the couple were a very good match, and I didn’t really like Simone (she seems pretty spoiled), but it’s still a good story to read or listen too. This story finishes up the series and ties up all the story lines.
The narrator of the audiobook does a nice job with the books.

What a wonderful ending to a great series! I fell in love with this big, loud family. It puts me in mind of mine. The love, the faith, and the respect they all had for each other. This book was about Micah, but it also wrapped up the family. I highly recommend this series. Great clean romance.
Very good book Simone and Micah finally got the happy ever after. Simone thought of her mother in law at their second wedding with all her other sons and daughter in laws. Very thoughtful women. I loved this series but I am gonna have to read some of the other series to go along with Three Rivers and Bear Groves.

I loved each and every one of these books! What an incredible family of loving, forgiving, God fearing people. I loved that they were grateful for their blessings and they took time to acknowledge God's Grace in all their lives. It was heart warming to read these love stories. Can't wait for the next series.
Have just completed them last of this Walker Family series . These books had me laughing, crying and so involved in the beauty of family and romance. As well as the individuality of each of the characters and still showed their strength as a family. Thank for such enjoyment.
This was the youngest of the Walker brothers to get married. Micah had been in love with Simone for a long time. They tried to get together three times and failed, finally he started dating another woman. After about seven months she broke up with him, saying she thought he had never gotten over Simone. Well, through struggles, he and Simone made it to the alter. You will enjoy the journey they took to get there.
Best series ending ever. I love every member of The Walker family! Seven Sons ranch is a dream series about a dream family! I only wish I was a member. Love the Christian values, stories with such heart and romance I will search out any an all Liz Isaacson series from now on!!!!!!
In this final book of the Seven Sons Ranch series it is Micah's turn to have a game marriage. All his brothers have started their marriages with a fake marriage that turned real. He has had a crush on Simone Foster for years and when a prop from a play turns into a real marriage they agree to give the marriage a try. This book also ties up the loose ends of all the previous books in the series.
This was the final book of the seven brothers meeting their love of their life! This was wonderfully written. And the ending was so unexpected and so heartwarming. I felt I was living their lives through all the books. I can't wait to start another one of her series. I love the cowboys and how they all share their faith.
The Seven Sons Ranch series is definitely a great read ! Each book takes you on a roller coaster of emotions ! Which I truly enjoy in the books I read , it keeps things interesting ! I truly enjoy Liz Isaacson books ! I especially like that her characters call upon their faith 🙏
