My lover locks his hand with mine before he raises my callused fingers to his lips. These are not the hands of a working man. These are not the eyes of a pampered son. The tears glazing their enchanted depths look out of place. Each drop is an oddity that never sees the light of day. I blink when his tears burn my eyes. They make my heart hurt for reasons I can’t explain. This is what it feels like to be turned out. And when I think I can’t take anymore of this pleasure that feels like torture, he joins our bodies with the sweetest kiss that I will ever kiss. With the softest lips that I will ever touch. This is deeper and far more erotic than sex. We are making love. His tears glisten in the firelight when he smiles and collect on the tips of his ridiculously long lashes. Tears that are more precious than the diamonds they mimic. My heart beats in answer to the call of whatever is happening in his heart that makes my lover want to cry. Maybe the way I kiss him. And touch him. And hold him is filling in the aching crevices of his broken heart. The way that being with him fills in mine. There is pain in healing. And maybe. Just maybe. They are tears of joy because this is the start of something beautiful.

Hum... (contains spoilers)

The book started well and then it went left and downhill. The first part was intense. Her homelife was tragic. The slow build of her love affair with Khalil was good. He did help her a lot and when she left the hospital she was full of hope and dreams. She wanted to go to college. Unfortunately once she got home she turned into her mother and got obsessed. Her whole life revolved around Khalil, even after she found out he had a wife, she cut him off for a while but didn’t make any changes. Then after he died it got even worse. She kept her victim and ghetto mentality. She went to college to become a nurse but never exercise, then even with all the money she inherited she stayed home, drank, got high and did nothing apart from obsessing over a man. She could have gone back to college to become a doctor or set up a charity or a foundation to help children or anything else. Her obsession with her brothers and Ruby was also unhealthy. It’s one thing to want to help, I guess it gave her purpose when she was young but at some point you have to let go. Is she going to raise all of Ruby’s kids? Her endangering herself whilst pregnant to go after Choc was silly. What about her own life and kid? With all this money, employ a security firm or something. I was really annoyed at her sleeping with Tan and Brice. The first one she knows how the story ends so why bother and anyway sleeping with cousins really? As for Brice, if she’s so in love why not take time out, find a hobby, a sport, make friends instead of leading him on? She’s behaving like Sabrina. Needing a man’s validation instead of loving herself. Khalil was good to her but he was still a drug dealer and a cheater. As for Godfrey even after all these centuries he still hasn’t matured? Repeating the same thing expecting a different result? Clearly he was looking for a solution but why let her suffer for over a year without saying anything? He was cruel and no matter how many sorries she gave in too easily. They should have taken time to rebuild their relationship and for her to feel good in her own skin. As an aside why did Bannon black wife had to be a stripper? Couldn’t she be an educated, classy black woman? Too cliché.

Still a great writer but the ending...

I really should have given it a 4 because of the BS ending with the unreasonable, inexplicable and unjustifiable absence and quick acceptance of Godfrey's return with a gloss over of the circumstances in between. I just discovered JanJan and have read almost all her books back to back since last week. I love her stories and characters. I don't even mind the almost consistent and constant unforgivable acts of the love interest. It just bothers me how in every freaking book they're forgiven within 5 minutes, few days or whatever even if these acts have been happening for years, over and over and she's like I love him so much so I'll just live with it but it's unforgivable if she does something even . 0001 Percent as bad as he does. SMH I only have 2 books more of hers to read. If and when she releases a new book and the woman is put through constant misery while the guy is living his best life and all he has to do is smile and show up to be forgiven for after mistreating her and cheating on her for 99 percent of the relationship, I'm out. I normally just give the stars and don't leave a review as authors put a lot of work into their art.. it's like their babies and I don't want to insult their babies. BUT, the stories are so good until they insult the reader with either a quick glossed over and head scratching ending or a quick shrug of the shoulders and HEA because the guy, after putting you through emotional and psychological hell for the millionth and/or for years says basically "my bad" for the trillionth time and it's for real this time, it's all good when the Heroine never really got to be happy through the entirety of the book and the love interest was living his best life while he was hurting her even the few times she womaned up and left him for 5 minutes and he was supposedly miserable he was living his best freaking life. IT DOESN'T feel like she really has a HEA just because the prologue says that he supposedly never did it again after reading a 4th and 5th book straight with the same degree of unforgivable treachery forgiven immediately because he loves her so much and he is who he is??? Good read

I enjoyed this book...as always with this author there are twists and unexpected outcomes. Godfrey reminded me of another character in her other book with the cheating.
The ending left more questions than answers for me. Like what happens with Ruby? What was the favor Godfrey owed? What happens with Bannon and his wife? Is he still King? Does she come back again? Hmmm 🤔 maybe there will be another book? I just felt like I’ve missed something 🤷🏽‍♀️. Overall a good read you won’t be disappointed.

Oh My!!

I could not put this book down! JanJan Untamed does her thing with each and every book that she releases. She never disappoints! With Sinserious, she gives us a love story, which is what she writes. No matter how rocky, or whatever devilry she puts her characters through, in the end, it's a love story. It's hard and real. And sexy. She did her thing!!!

Sincere was tested repeatedly and came out the victor, through her strength and perseverance. JanJan please keep feeding my addiction with your words. Thank You!!!

One click

I always one click a Janjan Untamed novel and she didn’t disappoint. I don’t know what to say but to buy it..yes it’s gritty and dark but I guarantee that there’s a happy ending and that’s why I love her books. I’m horrible at reviews but I had to post one.

I liked the first part with Sinserious and Khalil but she should have never met Godfrey because the book just stopped making sense from them on.

Yo. Godfrey is an ASSHOLE, an Asshole that I want on my side, or in all my sides, but stil 😫l…and Sin is a fool, but I love it for them cause bay bay???!!!! Their particular brand of crazy is for da birds! I love it so, more please🥹. I woulda killed Ruby😤😤. The Mom?? I…. 😤😤🤬 all I can say is GOOD! 🤷🏽‍♀️. Onyx, Jewel, and Gideon 😩🥺😩😭😭😭, and Khalil…BIG F-ing sigh😭😭😔😣, I may have hopped into forever wit him, it would have avoided some deep stuff but then the book wouldn’t be a JanJan Untamed book *womp womp*🤷🏽‍♀️. I love the sweetness that was the babies (children and adult children alike🥰🥰 Harper was a cutie patootie).

One thing is that many of us have been where Sinserious was, it’s easy to relate to her situation, except when it came to GODFREY 😤😤🤭🤪😏F GODFREY!!! How? Yes.🤦🏽‍♀️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

This book like all the Untamed books is long and fabulous. The Antonovs are a hot ass mess of crazy, evil, sexy, cool and then some. Oh and it’s still F GODFREY!!!! Which way you ask? Yes. 🤣🤣🤣🫠🫣. All I can say to the author is keep writing. To the reader, if you’re not a snobbish, I need everything perfect to read a book person, then get into these books, they are very satisfying. Lastly, JUSTICE FOR DARTANIAN!!! Does he get a book? Anywho, go read the book!

Sinsational

I felt like the writer gave us two books in one. The first part of the book centered around Sinserious and Khalil. This part of the story was a page turner from beginning to the end. I went through all emotions: happiness, sadness, anger, frustration, laughter, etc... I really wish the author would have given these two their own story. I won't spoil it, but I cried like a baby. The second half of the book centered around Sinserious and Godfrey. She tried to tie these two together but again, I felt like these two deserved their own story. This half of the book was more steamy. It also took me a bit to get invested in the new character Godfrey as he was a womanizer and seemed extremely controlling. I found it so ironic that both of these men claimed to love the female lead but their actions said otherwise. If you are looking for an emotional rollercoaster with some steam this is the book for you. This author has definitely made it to my top five for sure.

Author always deliver. Love it very much.

I was waiting a while for something new from JanJan love this. I don’t want to say too much in fear that I might give the story out. I miss B&T so happy to read about them. I am a little disappointed in Godfrey. I felt like he never really suffered for what he did to Sin. I wish he had suffered a bit more, Sin was a little too forgiving I understand why. The ending felt rush and there’s a lot unanswered. Ruby for 1, what was the deal with the devil? And the cousin Dartin? This is not first time JanJan have done this happened in the book “Jacks are Wild” come on at lease give us a great ending. Overall I will read this again like I do with many others from this author. I will definitely read future books. P.S. Love long books keep it coming and I’ll keep buying.

Good read

Liked the book up until 70%. The paranormal twist seemed unnecessary. All the Antoniv cousins seemed confusing and I lost track. Skipped a lot of pages after 70% as was just too long. The end seemed rushed considering how long the book was.
Sin had a very low self esteem but guess her childhood experiences were contributory to that. Got very tired of Ruby. Honestly she should have been out of the picture earlier on in the book. Zero sense of responsibility from her and extremely self centred. Loved Khalil, really liked the bit of the book with him. Wished he had a happy ending.
Mixed feelings about Godfrey, found him childish. Overall give it 4 stars. The author knows how to keep you turning the pages even when you feel frustrated with the characters. I just had to know how it ended. Will read more from this author.

This needs to be a mini series

I read this book 3 times because the story of Khalil and Sin then the story of Sin and Godfrey was so deep and both relationships prepared her for the other ( you’ll see what I mean when you read the story). I loved the fact that your special needs characters had depth even Jewel who did not talk, you could see her smiles in the interactions with the other characters. The whole time I read this story I saw Allen Payne as Khalil and Jason Momoa as Godfrey. The person to play Sin? Letitia Wright from Black Panther...Get on it 😀. This story will keep you hooked from the beginning to the end and back again.

This was hands down one of the worst books I've ever read. Everyone who rated 5 stars are LIARS. Sinserious is like a fictional and dumber version of Chrisean Rock. This MC didn't have enough self-love to leave people who clearly didn't love her enough to respect her. I honestly couldn't care less about how attractive Godfrey and Khalil were. What Sinserious should have been attracted to was some self-esteem. This book was a new form of torture. I never want to see another black woman represented this way again. I don't understand how anyone thought considered that this book should be published, honestly. Worst read ever.
Thank you for listening,
Faith.
- P.S. Don't read this bullshit.

Sinserious

This novel was oh so serious. The author takes the reader through hills and valleys, ghettos and countryside's. I abhor spoilers, but the wordsmith is gifted. My only complaint is that she should hire a good editor. Despite any typos I could not put the book down. In many ways this is two Love stories rolled into one. Her female lead is not weak, she has been to hell and back, but managed to have a heart of gold. Her lead male characters are flawed, but have hearts dipped in gold also.

The story started off with a solid, strong 5 star rating but it took a turn toward the middle. Unfortunately, it was not for the better. There were too many twists and plot changes to truly enjoy it. It just seemed to drag on and the events were repetitive. I also want to say that I hated how they made Sin so needy and thirsty for companionship. She was a doormat to her sister and her men. But you can tell that this author writes some gritty stories but they are so good and interesting. This one fell a little short.

Extremely imaginative!

This story reminds me of a cross between New Jack City and The Twilight Zone. The first half of the book is deceiving and leads you to believe that it is about the life of a drug dealer and his lady love. Not so. The second half is like being transported to The Twilight Zone. I used a lot of tissue reading this story, so blurry eyed I could barely see the words. I don't think I have ever read such an imaginative story. I loved Sin, but wanted to murder Sabrina and Ruby. An awesome read, but not for the weak at heart.

YES!!!!!!

JanJan Untamed, she didn’t again. I don’t know where to start, but this story outstanding. Furthermore, the author takes you on an emotional journey. I cried, laughed, and screamed at different times in the story. I love how she added some paranormal to the storyline. JanJan Untamed has honestly become one of my favorite authors.

First time reading this author. I have mixed emotions. I’m not a prude; but if you don’t like foul words every other word; this book is not for you. I don’t expect works of fiction to be softhearted nor lack spice, however the book was plain foul from end to end.

Simply Amazing!

I was a bit skeptical at first, but in hindsight, it made perfect sense! A well-crafted and deeply emotional tale of dysfunctional love at its best! Some mechanical/grammatical issues, but not enough to take away from the flawed beauty of the story. Brava!

Definitely a read. The story had my emotions all over the place. Sinserious, the main character… sometimes you loved her and sometimes you hated her but through it all love won!

Hannah nerves disappoints!

Sin and.Godfey, another couple for the annals! This story is so good, so delicious, you don't want it to end. Nothing about Hannah stories are predictable. It is a wild ride and the best a reader can do is, hold on!

Another JanJan adventure

I have read this story three times and still find it as enjoyable as this first time. Calling this a story is an understatement. It's like three love stories wrapped up in an adventure mystery series.
