This adventure began with a short story for my wife, in February 1994. It grew as I suffered through physical therapy - escaping the pain to a better place. Six years in writers' group, two external reviews. Twenty-five years and eight months later, I closed the back cover. Never would I have ever believed a simple story could grow so much and become so consuming. Vrenessbith not only watched over The Highlands of an emerging culture but much of my life as well. I look forward to visiting with her again, exploring ancient memories, and once more unraveling the mysteries of Scotland and The Highlands.
