Previously on Dragon War Chronicles, the first strike was made against their enemies, but the cost was heavy.

Mourning their losses, Danica still must prepare for dragons that will be coming to woo her. She already knows the dragon she wants to mate to, but will she convince Kollin that she's ready to commit?

Of all the dragons going to Toulouse to meet Danica and see if they have a chance only one has a completely different agenda. He knows which dragon he wants and it isn't Danica. Will Xavier win the heart of Danica's brother?

Anchin Luu, Danica's brother and manager of her Las Vegas casino, Dragon's Hoard, has spent his whole life alone due to his deadly nature. A broken experiment and retired assassin Anchin isn't sure what to make of the water dragon that has invaded his life.

Love is in the air, but so is gunpowder. SLIPs going missing, Coyotes crashing parties, and a mating you'll never forget are all in store for you on the next exciting installment of Dragon War Chronicles.

Attention: This book contains explicit sexual content between consenting dragons, depictions of relationships that are MF and MM with a dash of doublemint fun.

Dragon War Chronicles is a continuous series. It is best read in order.

I’d like to start off by saying that I think Danica is super clever by hiding in plain sight. The names of her businesses all hint to what she is but no one would guess unless they know about that world.

In Dragon’s Hoard, A.G. Carothers takes on quite the journey and all I can say is hang on for the ride! We immediately pick up where First Strike ended. Danica and Kollin are getting closer but the Dragon Council just has to interfere. Can Jabari please have, ahem, a horrible accident? The rest of her crew are around (love, love Matt and Xander, especially with bathrooms), and I hope we’ll see more of other characters in later books (foxes and twins, oh my), but our main focus is on Anchin, or Anthony, and a newcomer Xavier.

Anthony has a soft spot in my heart. Ever since we first learned about him, I’ve wanted to know his story and see him find happiness. I’m ecstatic that he is the star in this book and we learn his history. As for his HEA, I can only say thank the gods for Xavier and his stubbornness. These two just make my day. On another front Danica is navigating the politics of the Dragon Council and kicking butt, but as expected nothing is ever easy for our group. Outside forces oppose our family’s happiness and trouble ensues.

Another fun and exciting read from the talented A.G. Carothers. Each book keeps getting better and all I can say is I want more!

Dragon's Hoard is the fourth book in the Dragon War Chronicles series by A.G. Carothers. This is a continuous series that is best read in order, so make sure to read the previous three books first for ultimate enjoyment of the story.

This book does a fantastic job bringing you further into the universe created and getting you engrossed in the drama and action. These characters are interesting.... their world is intriguing and entertaining. The story delivers on drama, action, adventure, and some love stories with steamy scenes... oh and some big surprises. This series gets better as it progresses. Amazing!!!

I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

This is the fourth book in the series and you get to dive into the life of Anthony. The world building alone in these books makes it that amazing to read but then add all these different characters and it definitely makes it a 5 star read. Even though the story focuses on Anthony you still get to read about Danica, Kollin , Matt, Xander, and many more. I loved this book and the look into the mysterious Anthony and a wonderful new character Xavier. This world that has been created is a place that i want to be. I can’t wait to see what’s to come in this series.

I love this series, I am a big fan of dragons and this series is amazing. The characters are 3 dimensional, have depth and more importantly have human flaws too. The strong willed Danica meets her match in this book. You have to read it. I won't put up spoilers.

The council forces Danica to settle down and choose a mate among the representatives of various dragon clans she is about to meet in the near future. However, her magic has already made a choice for her, and the woman seems completely satisfied with it. The problem is that Kollin wants more than just magic compatibility, as he doesn't want to share his mate with others. So if Danica wants him to mate with her, she has to forget about sexual orgies and remain faithful to only one man.
In the meantime, Anthony struggles with loneliness and weight of his dragon skills. However, his whole world turns upside down when he meets Xavier, who is supposed to be the candidate for Danica's mate, but who turns out to be much more interested in Anthony himself. As if that wasn't enough, the Amazonian dragon seems to know some of Anthony's secrets and yet he still intends to win the heart of the object of his affection.

"Dragon's Hoard" is the fourth and in my opinion the best volume of "Dragon War Chronicles" written by A.G. Carothers. For starters, this installment of the series doesn't focus on Danica, but on her brother, Anthony. What makes him so special that he is a great advantage of this volume? Well, A.G. Carothers prepared for us some surprising revelations concerning this character, and most of them are really unexpected. What's more, in this part we learn many of Anthony's secrets, which immediately make him all the more interesting, moving and simply wonderful character. I admit that at first my heart was shattered, because I really liked the dynamic of Anthony and Kenshin's friendship marked by sexual desire. Nevertheless, I quickly forgot all about my poor heart when I discovered what exactly the author prepared for Anthony in this volume. To be honest, I'm still thrilled with the events and revelations of "Dragon's Hoard".

Xavier is another great surprise of this volume of the series. At the very beginning I didn't know what to expect from him. After all, self-confidence, enthusiasm and the desire to win beloved's heart is not enough to be considered someone unique and worth attention. However, it quickly turned out that Xavier has a lot more than that to offer. His appearance, personality, energy, patience and care so quickly conquer our hearts that we really can't resist him. What's more, he also hides some amazing secrets that surprise, thrill, move and even make us addicted to this story. Reading about Xavier in "Dragon's Hoard" we constantly want to get to know him better, as well as we want to see his interactions with Anthony, because they are almost magical and full of beauty. Yes, I love Xavier and I am delighted with the way he is built in the novel.

Although Danica is not the most important character of this volume, I definitely must write about her in my review. For starters, I like the fact that in "Dragon's Hoard" her story doesn't dominate over her brother's, but it efficiently completes it. I admit that it surprised and, at the same time, delighted me because it allowed other characters to spread their wings and make us fall in love with them. What's more, I really like the fact that someone finally gave her an ultimatum, so the spoiled "teenager", as that's how Danica sometimes behaved in previous volumes, is forced to, to some extent, adapt to others, to their expectations and needs. Thanks to all this, Danica is about to grow up, change, look at the world and people completely differently. That is why I really want to know what kind of woman she is about to become.

As for the general plot of this volume, it should be noted that it is mostly composed of rather serene events, which often move us and allow us to take a breathe, especially after the fast pace of the previous installment of the series. I like it very much, because it is thanks to this calm pace that we can fully enjoy Anthony and Xavier's story and get used to this "new" Danica. However, the fact that "Dragon's Hoard" is a serene volume doesn't mean that it is less fascinating and addictive than the previous ones. On the contrary. It's precious as it focuses on matters of the heart, lets us get to know some character's better, and shows Anthony's and Xavier's painful, touching past. It's my undisputed favorite part of "Dragon War Chronicles" series.

In summary, "Dragon's Hoard" is a really great volume of an interesting and colorful series by A.G. Carothers. The story presented in this part is largely characterized by the sweetness of a new relationship and that of an already existing one, which I consider to be a great advantage. In this novel we also meet some old and new characters we fall in love with, and who move and delight us. I love this volume and I highly recommend it to you.

Carothers. W centrum tej odsłony serii nie znajduje się bowiem Danica, ale jej brat, Anthony. Co czyni go tak wyjątkowym, że jego postać stanowi ogromną zaletę tego tomu? Otóż A.G.

Carothers. Kocham ten tom i naprawdę gorąco Wam go polecam.

Dragon's Hoard is the 4th book in the Dragon War Chronicles series. This series is best read in order. This book picks up where the last book ended and it's quite the rollercoaster ride. A battle against three secret facilities in Russia has been fought and those under Danica’s lead are mourning their loses, but Danica is being forced to choose a mate. Her identity as a hybrid wolf and dragon has been revealed and her place within the dragon council is ruled by her lineage. But being the first female dragon in centuries, has made the council want to force her to choose a mate, even though she is actually already pregnant by others. She knows the one dragon she wants to be her mate, Kollin, but he isn’t quite as happy with her decision, since her past has seen her spreading her love around with many partners and Kollin isn’t willing to share her with another. It suddenly gives her a lot to think about and to realise that maybe she needs to think a little bit more what she really wants and how a mate might respond. She has only a short time to prove to Kollin that she is serious about wanting to have him as her mate and being ready to commit to only one! All the dragons of the council and their sons, who are eligible to woo her, have come to Toulouse and her team have a very busy time trying to keep them all happy. Some are still not happy to see her with such an important role. One of the dragons who has arrived, Xavier, has no interest whatsoever in Danica, but in one of her most trusted companions, her own brother, Anthony (Anchin Luu). He is also the manager of Dragon’s Hoard, her casino in Las Vegas, and has a secret identity of his own that he has kept hidden all of his life. He is the result of an experiment, as was his sister, and he has never allowed himself to love another, let alone touch one, due to his lethal touch! He was used as an assassin by the council due to his deadly nature, but has tried to put that life behind him.

Xavier is a water dragon with his own deadly manner and he is determined to get his man! There is heartbreak of a kind as Anthony’s relationship with Kenshin is finally given the nail in the coffin for any chance to become love in reality. Each of the dragons coming to woo Danica, must see if their magic melds with hers and if they could be a possible match, with some being far from compatible. She must go on a date with each who might be a match, but has already set her heart and mind on Kollin. He has some clear ideas of what she needs to consider first, especially since danger seems to follow her, wherever she goes. She is trying to ensure SLIPs are brought together and to save as many as possible, especially against the new threat to them. Her introduction ceremony has to go ahead, but her IT experts, fox shifter twins, Akira and Koji, have their own dragons to look forward to meeting. They have been talking over chat with dragon twins Havlar and Herleif, who seem to have a similar twin connection as they do themselves. What the two dragons may not know is that they are looking to be messing about with Danica’s right-hand man, Kenshin, who is Akira dn Koji’s father! Another bit of love has Xander, one of Danica’s bonded praesides and a bear shifter, finally pushed to spend time alone with his mate Matt, after almost being killed, which is great to see. Danica wants her bonding ceremony to take place at her casino location in Las Vega, only a week after the introduction ceremony, as she sees no point in delaying it, especially since she is already pregnant and knowing who she wishes to bond with. She isn’t going to get her man quite as easily as she thought, as he isn’t going to just lie down to her demands. Xavier is going to have the hardest time getting his mate to accept him and believe he is his perfect match, since Anthony has spent his five hundred years never having the touch of another!

A town near where Xander is from in Colorado, has seen everyone go missing, with small piles of a gloop left behind, which in fact was the remnants of the SLIPs killed by some evil masterminds plans to eradicate all SLIPs from existence. Danica’s team had been trying to get doses of the gene therapy serum to SLIPs everywhere, but in the US, they were spread a lot further apart, with many not trusting dragons. The evening of Kollin and Danica’s bonding ceremony comes and their shared magic surprises many in the audience. They fly off in their dragon forms to complete their bond, only to have it disturbed as an attack happens back at the casino and Danica senses one of her bonded dying! A shocking end to what should have been a pleasant night for all. Men dropped from the open roof and starting shooting with special ammunition, specifically targeting the SLIPs who had gathered for the ceremony. Some of the shooters are easily identified as belonging to an Anti-Shifter Regime (ASR), but who allowed them in and past all the security, is the main question and luckily, they have one scared boy to question. Rafael is just a boy who escorts the mercenaries’ running drugs from Mexico to the Torrio family in Las Vegas, as his clan insisted one of theirs always had to accompany the mercenaries on the border jobs. But this time the leader of the mercenary group told him that they had a new job from his bosses and they were going to shoot up a wedding full of freaks. Rafael didn’t want to go with them, but was given no choice! The attack used the same special bullets used in the attack in Canada and they believe they know which dragon might have been involved in the attack and leave them out of the latest council meeting, which is going over the information from the attack. Another attack happens in a village which holds SLIPs with close connections to some in their inner circle, with Xavier’s bonded companion Tizou, losing all his extended family and everyone he knows! Such shocking news so soon after all those in Las Vegas were left reeling from the attack at the bonding ceremony, has left many hurt and struggling to cope. Thankfully, many have fated mates and family to look after them, as others worry about the safety of the clan itself and what actions to take next. I can’t wait to see Jabari punished for his crimes at some point, as it seems he has been getting away with quite a lot in his life. Lots of love to go around in this storyline, with others taking most of the limelight from Danica, especially the twin foxes, but also a sense of loss as their foes continue to decimate those they are trying to protect. Danica and her team will find out who is responsible and make sure they pay for what they have done and I can’t wait.

Reading this series is like following a twister, you never know what direction it is going to go or what happens next. Wow, it is exhausting! I don't like giving spoilers but the scene between Danica and Kollin is.....AMAZING!! and the last scene of Salvatore is so sad, how someone can believe so low of himself? Made me cry!!
Another great book, lot of action that continues, deadly situations.... You really need to read the first 3 books to fully enjoy and understand the plot, but.... so good!!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Wow! Just beyond words and so good!

First, Anthony and Xavier are so perfect together that there are not enough words to explain how well their pieces fit together. Next, the author does an amazing job keeping all the pieces of the story flowing without confusion for the reader. In a story with this many pieces, it is incredibly difficult to portray everything that is needed in the story and yet, they do so in such a way that you are pulled into this world and never want to leave. I cannot wait for more!

I have read all the previous books and have loved them now we get to focus on Anthony , Danica's brother and he has such a hard past and it just makes you want him to have his happy ever after and then in walks Xavier, he comes under the pretense of Danica but he only has eyes for Anthony!!!
I am still getting the feels for just how much these two belong together and how hard Xavier fights for the man he wants.

Surprises!

AG Carothers continues to deliver a good read complete with fun and surprises. This installment of the Dragon War Chronicles introduces us to more key players and pulls us deeper into the world of SLIPS and Dragons. I love that I don't feel like I'm reading the same book with different characters. And, there's plenty of romance, intrigue, and shenanigans to keep us panting for the next installment.

I am all smiles! It just keeps getting better and better :) I absolutely LOVE this series!

From start to finish I was so absorbed up in every detail.
Once again we got an action packed adventure with twists and turns at every bend, new unique characters as our wonderful family keeps on growing and changing.
I absolutely love how Xavier and Anthony are perfect in every way for each other.
I Love how Kollin knows what he needs and wants but also does not want to change Danica.
The twins are so adorable together. I am looking forward to Kenshin getting some happiness.

I look forward to more adventures to come in the series ahead! Thank You to D.G. Carothers and team for this ARC copy.
