I was so excited for this book in this series! I had my fingers crossed for Kurtis's story in the last book and here we are. The world-building continues to be amazing and intricate. The secondary characters are complex and dynamic beings helping to move the plot farther along.

My one dislike of this book was Lucretia. She came off as a mysterious and intriguing being at the beginning, which was interesting to see. My problem was with her indecision towards Kurtis. I understand her reasoning behind her secrets and the actions she took to keep them safe but I couldn't stand the hot-and-cold dynamic she had with Kurtis after the halfway point in the story. She was a very prominent source of frustration for me in this book.

Kurtis was an overall great guy! He went after what he wanted but he does make mistakes along the way. He's far from perfect but he's somehow perfect for Lu. Had she trusted him from the beginning it would have been much better and less stressful on everyone.

The BDSM aspect of this book made me skim throughout their duration. It's not something that I look for in the books I read and even though the story was great I would have preferred to have had less of those moments present. That's just a personal take and it didn't influence the final rating of this book.

I was hoping things would work out in the end for Lu and Kurtis but I didn't foresee what actually happened. It was heartbreaking in a way for Lu but it also made a future for her possible. I'm glad they worked everything out. Now I'm curious about Vienna's story!

My Favorite Quotes:

"[...] Easier stated than achieved."

"How does one let go of all they believe?"

"I've learned something over the years; even good people to bad things for righteous reasons."

Forbidden Storm is the second book in the Storm series and this time the story is about Kurtis and Lucretia. If you have read book one, you will know Kurtis had hopes for a relationship with Nicole, which Logan was quick to dismiss! Lucretia has her own secrets to hide which impact her past, present, and future.

Theirs is very much a will they/won't they story with plenty of action along the way. I am pleased to see Nikki and Logan still play a part in here although, obviously, not as much. Lucretia's secrets come out and she pays the price in more ways than one. Kurtis is okay but more often than not he will do or say something that annoyed me.

I do love the story development both in this story and the overall story arc. There are plenty of hints about stories to come which definitely leaves me wanting more. The characters continue to grow and adapt as times change.

This was a brilliant addition to the series that I thoroughly enjoyed. I absolutely recommend it and I look forward to whatever comes next.

I picked up the first book in this series with no knowledge of what I was about to get myself into. However, let me say I am so glad that I picked it up. This is the second book in the series, and was just as good, if not better, than the first. Lucretia and Kurtis have a strange love, that has to overcome many things before they can have their HEA. The journey through this world is amazing and I cannot wait to see how all of this progresses.

3.5 to 4

Again this had me reading till I was finished, to see what would happen. Again loved Lucretia. Tough as nails. She did make some questionable choices at times, but valid for her. Kurtis would range from really sweet to being totally rash in his choices. His mouth over ran his brain and he was so wish washy at times. I felt Lucretia atoned for her trespasses while being tortured for so long. I didn’t really like Logan and Nicole in this one. Sebastian will need a great deal of redeeming if the next book is his. I hope Liam will get a happy ending.

Received a copy from BookSirens in return for an honest review.

The world that A.R. Has set up in her first book is explored even more in this second installment. The bonds between immortals and their secrets are laid out and I found myself throughly in that world. Most sequels don’t live up to the first book but this one surpasses it and brings home a great story!

I recently received an advanced copy of this book for free and I couldn't put it down! These characters are strong, passionate and intense, but what makes them relatable is that they still struggle with trust and insecurities. I love the idea of having a perfect mate who is exactly what you need if you can accept them. The author has created a world that is easily believable and the more time I spend there the more I want to return. I truly enjoyed this story and I will be keeping an eye out for the next book in this series!

Forbidden Storm is the second book in A.R. Vagnetti's Storm series and it's got a little bit of almost everything in it. Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, Erotica, Love, Lust, Thrills, Shifters, Vampires, Valkyries, and Werewolves. There is also a fair amount of sex, some BDSM, violence, torture and death but now that I think about it, no humans. That might sound like a lot but it all fits together pretty well and the story basically boils down to a fated mates / will they or won't they. The pacing is pretty quick with enough surprises to keep you on your toes. The ending is not a cliff hanger but it does set up the next two books in the series and while you could easily pick this book up without reading the first one I think you'll enjoy it more if you read the first one before you read this one.

I think what I like best about this book (and the other books in this series) is in a world pretty heavily populated with alpha males, the women are not pushovers. They may enjoy submitting in the bedroom but they don't take any shxt outside of it and they manage to have a sense of humor while doing. I do love a smartass woman. The men and women both (actually, the men more than the women) have their fair share of doubts and there are occasions where you may want to slap them once in a while it provides just enough conflict to keep things interesting.

So, while summer is coming to an end here in the northern hemisphere, if you're looking for a good beach read and don't mind a sex and violence along with your romance this will fit the bill. FYI, I read this book twice. The first time was a review copy from BookSirens and the second (because I got lazy and put off the review long enough I had to read it again) was a KU download. And it still made my toes sweat during the climactic rescue scene.

Lucretia has trained all her life in order to become the first woman Guardian. Once born a shifter she was turned into a vampire against her will. She will do whatever it takes to protect the queen. Her deep, dark secrets must not be revealed even if it means she becomes a traitor.
Kurtis is an alpha shifter who is determined to make Lu his even if it means going against the laws. He knows she is his fated mate.
As Lu and Kurtis begin their journey there are obstacles thrown in their path that causes chaos within the castle.
When Lu's past appears she is put in a life or death situation and her secret has been revealed.
Mystery and suspense that keeps you intrigued with every turn of the page. You feel you are there along with the characters feeling their pain, heartbreak, deceit, victory, love and tears.
I loved Nikki's character! What a mouth!

Thank you BookSirens and the author for a complimentary copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

This well written book with very well crafted, strong characters. She has a busy life and running from a bad past. He has fangs and is sexy, but is he what she needs or wants. This story grabs ahold and does not let go. A must read

Vagnetti's Forbidden Storm is action packed and slightly rough with the allegations and explanations put forth. I love the storyline and the continuation from book 1 Forgotten Storm.

This is the second book in this series and I hope more are coming! I recommend reading „Forgotten Storm“ first, since the plot starts there. The story between Lucretia an Kurtis begins in this book though. The characters are into S/m, actually not my thing, but the story is so captivating, that it doesn´t bother me so much. I read this book right after I read Forgotten Storm, which was Book 1 and while I liked this book a lot better than the first one I was a bit torn with my rating.

Lucreita, like Nicole in Forgotten Storm was also sexually assaulted, interestingly enough it was by the same person Dimitri, Nicole’s father. For me wasn’t sure what statement the author was making by having both of her female leads endure the same horrible treatment. There is another instance where a human female is also assaulted then is murdered right after the assault. My issues stemmed from the almost casual handling of something that is life altering and not in a good way.

What I liked about this book was getting to know more about the secondary characters. There are some other strong females that come on the scene and some strong males and I am curious as to what direction things might take from here.

Lu/Lucreita for the most part was a very strong female having to shoulder as much responsibility as she had over the years. What did drive me a bit batty was her hot and cold with Kurtis. One minute she’s all in and ready to get hot and heavy the next minute she doesn’t want him to bother her.

Kurtis for the most part was pretty straightforward that he wanted Lucreita he realized that he needed to make sure his decision to pursue her wouldn’t cause a small war.

While I have no issues with BDSM in this case spanking/power exchange for me calling someone Sir or Master does nothing for me and as such I skipped their horizontal times once that became the theme in their couplings.

Nicole from Book 1 did redeem herself in this book, for me she was a lot more of a badazzzz and wasn’t as immature as she was previously. Her mate Logan, however got on my nerves a bit with his caveman routine and his willingness to sacrifice Lu without a second thought. I mean even thou he was forced to do it Lu was his wife for a brief period of time in the previous book so his willingness to just pretty much kill her really made him lose points for me.

Will admit to wanting to get to know Liam the werewolf king a bit more, his character seems to have loads of depth and insight which provided much needed guidance for Kurtis when his animal side made his brain short circuit into stupidity.

There are a lot of twists and turns, family secrets, new fun characters and some fleshing out of some characters from book one which is what eventually made me make this a 4 star review instead of 3.

Forbidden Storm follows the events of Forgotten Storm. Although you can read this book without reading the previous one, it is best to read the books in order so that you do not miss out on some of the nuances of the relationships and the storyline. AR Vagnetti created characters and a world that are believable and exciting, which keeps you engaged from page one.

With Lucretia, aka Lu, and Kurtis, the main focus, we see an impossible relationship come to light. Forbidden Storm has endless drama and twists that will make you have an audible reaction, not to mention scorching steamy sex. Villains that you will hate are a big part of the storyline. Note that some torture scenes may be triggering. Secrets revealed could cost life and definitely lead to intense angst, as well as lots of supernatural action. I even found myself chuckling out loud at times at some of the group of friends' antics. Being able to laugh during some very intense moments also kept me engaged. A true page-turner, I read this book in a day.

I love the characters. They are strong yet vulnerable and perfect yet deeply flawed. The alpha males are fiercely protective of their "females," but those females are just as alpha as their men. The characters are so real in their loyalty and devotion to one another that you can't help but want to be part of their circle. I am on to the next book in the series.

Forbidden Storm is book 2 in the Storm series & tells Lucretia & Kurtis’s story. It can easily be read without reading the first book.

Lucretia is a vampire & the first female guardian. Kurtis is a shifter, a future king & a close friend to the queen. They are true mates but in their world mating with a different species is forbidden.

Lucretia has many secrets & Kurtis is determined to find out what they are.

This book kept me engaged from beginning to end. I had a rollercoaster of emotions, some parts were heartbreaking but was well worth the read.

The book is well written, the story flowed, was totally engaging, filled with lots of action & had a few twists that were totally unexpected.

I enjoyed the book so much I’ve purchased the first book & can’t wait to start it.

Will Lucretia & Kurtis get their HEA? I recommend you read their story & find out.

I received an ARC of Forbidden Storm & this is my honest review.

This is a steamy paranormal story that is definitely dark. I do enjoy dark stories, and this one follows along with the world that is put together for this series. Lucretia is strong and Kurtis is alpha. I love this dark world and the characters that reside here. I Love the way this was written, as it pulled me in and kept me engaged in the story. I feel that this is a Great Dark Read and I will be reading the next one! I Loved It!!! No Spoilers!

I thoroughly enjoyed this second book in the series, it was as good as the first in the series and again left me wanting more! I hope to see several more books added to this series. An intriguing story of love & betrayal, it comes with plenty of sexual tension, loads of action, and a great well-flowing story-line! I look forward to seeing more from this author!

This book was great. It is one where if you are not interupted you can read it super fast. This is the second series in the book, and there is enough back drop tidbits put in to the begining appropriately if for some reason you grab this one first you will generally know whats going on.

As far as the two characters focused in on this one their character development was solid. Due to their pasts this you learn about through out the book, their momens of keeping their judgement "extreame" or black and white can easily be justified. It may even at moments make you get mad or hate the characters. Personally feeling that happen is great cause that tells me the book is good enough I am getting invested.
There are surprises that come up in this book that make you go hmmmm.. and whoa.
And oh my gosh I have to say the character that kept me the most amused what King Darath (the Deamon king) My favorite quote from the book was his, "Duct tape is the devil's favorite tool."

This book also confirms two characters from book 1 that shown hints that they are each others mate. Which sets us up for their story, and then blossoms a surprise that is clearly ment to be another story in this series.
The writing was in this book shows the author's growth from the previous book. and there is more world development that happens in this one as we fumble through Lucretia and Kurtis's love life.

I bought this book originally as a kindle copy, and enjoyed the series enough I bought a signed copy from the author.

Thank you Book Sirens and A.R. Vagnetti for a copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased review.

This is book number two in the series and it's just as good as the first. I love how the author combines both supernatural and BDSM. This combination makes for a perfect read for me. I love the characters and stories they tell. It's also fantastic how she still gives the reader glimpses of characters from previous book so you know how they are doing. I can definitely recommend these books.
