Ophelia Lopez thought the worst was over, until the guy who she both loves and hates shows back up begging for her help.

The Elites of Weis-Jameson Preparatory Academy put Ophelia through hell, and her crush Emmett Jameson seemed to be the ringleader of them all.
With both of their abusive, damaged fathers out of the way, he tried to convince her that he had changed. He wanted to prove to her he could be the man she deserved.
Traumatized from everything she experienced at the hands of the Elites, she begged him to let her go and never speak to her again.
But it appears the Elites aren’t done with her yet. Emmett’s sister goes missing, and the only person he can trust is Ophelia.
It doesn’t take long for the sexual chemistry between them to ignite all over again as they try to solve the mystery of his sister’s disappearance.
As she grapples with her complex feelings and he tries to prove himself to her, things get even more tense when Emmett’s ex shows back up, determined to bring back the old hierarchy of the Elites and kick Ophelia out of the picture.
Only this time, she has one of Ophelia’s only trusted friends won over to back her up.
Jealous tempers fly as Ophelia tries to determine who can be trusted and whether Emmett can truly be a good person and treat her well.
The old games continue, only all the rules have changed now. All she can do is try and keep up, but one thing remains true. No one is who they say they are.

A suspenseful mystery thriller full of lust and betrayal that will leave you constantly guessing who can be trusted in this exciting sequel.

The heroine was so annoying with her pathetic obsession with a guy who treated her like crap which she knows but still can’t control her damn hormones around him! I had to dnf when she gave in so easily in the first chapter because again she couldn’t control her libido around the weak smug “Hero”

Argh!! I have exactly 3 hairs left on my head. I’ve pulled them all out!! Once again, the brilliant and devious-minded, Rebel Hart, has taken a bunch of words and arranged them into something I can only compare to a car accident meeting a train wreck. And I mean that in the best way possible!!! She puts you in the car with Emmett and Ophelia, seeing the wreck coming from a mile away but you’re in the back seat screaming out warnings that no one can hear (except maybe my neighbours at 2 AM). I literally had to put the book aside twice to try to collect myself. This is not real. It is not happening to me. I am going to be ok. These have been my mantras since chapter 2! These are some of the vilest characters I’ve come across in a book I’ve read. I pray I can hold it together until book 3! Then I want to be thrown right back into the fire!!

Triggers abound. I can’t even specify all of them...but my anxiety was 42 out of 10.

Do the scenes in this book exist in real life? Because they are sure as hell more dramatic and more problematic than a teenager can endure. Plus, Ophelia was the living, breathing version of the green-eyed monster called jealousy. She continued being an idiot even in this book ugh.

A dark and twisty rollercoaster!

Broken Rules is SUCH a fun, dark, engaging, action packed story, and the perfect second installment of The Elites of WJ Prep series!

The story picks up where Reckless Rules ends, and we see just how hard Ophelia is trying to keep Emmett out of her life, and more importantly, her heart. But Emmett being Emmett, he keeps going until Ophelia has no choice but to let him back in.

This installment is full of suspense and has lots of twists and turns to keep you invested in our couple. Not everyone is who we think they are and the bombs really get dropped at the end!

I was a huge fan of Reckless Rules and Rebel Hart does what she does best and weaves such a great tale with Ophelia and Emmett caught up in the middle of it, people coming at them left and right to tear them apart.

I can’t wait for the conclusion to their story, even though I’ll hate having to say goodbye to them!

I received an ARC of this book.

Rebel continues to do amazing things with her writing skills I absolutely loved and enjoyed reading this book. The crazy Journey continues between Emmett and Ophelia and what a journey it is. This second book continues on some twisted episodes and in the story Ophelia tries to push Emmett away and stay strong but there's just something about him that she can't help at times and get sucked into his web. Also other people are not who they seem to be and the craziness of the story is amazing. I don't want to get into too much detail but just know if you're into dark twisted love stories and you definitely want to read this book it won't disappoint you. We are left with a hell of a cliffhanger that will leave you wanting to read the next book even more. You should definitely give this book and if you haven't started it then start with book 1.

I was chosen to read this story as an arc, the unpredictable love story of Emmett and Ophelia. Ophelia shows Emmett that there’s more to him than his past, in this new one. Emmett is trying to change for Ophelia’s overall purpose even though it doesn’t come easy. They truly love each other even though Vivian and Malcolm attempt to pull them apart. Ophelia and Emmett show Vivian and lily that nothing can pull them apart. There’s an undeniable connection between Ophelia and Emmett, throughout books 1 and 2. Major shell shocker in this one!! Read this and more of Rebel’s books to be blown away once more. Hope you enjoy!!

I read this as an ARC, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

You need to have read book 1 as this picks up where book 1 left off. This is a huge emotional and draining rollercoaster. My love for Emmett and Ophelia through this story was love and hate but that shows the writing and story for the journey it took me on. That ending was a little mean. Find job what happens with Emmett and Ophelia by reading this amazing 5⭐️ read.

This series just keeps getting crazier and crazier with secrets and twists and turns. I am loving Emmett and Ophelia's story so much. The drama, the angst, the heat. It's twisting me all up and I need answers! These characters have grabbed hold of my heart and won't let go. The plot just keeps getting thicker. Rebel Hart is quickly becoming a favorite author.  I will definitely be recommending this book to everyone!

>Book Review – Broken Rules
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 2nd in the Elites of Weis-Jameson Prep Academy and ends in a cliffhanger. Emmett and Ophelia are now a couple, but Ophelia is having trouble letting go of all the bad that Emmett and the Elites put her through. Emmett is like a totally different person, until he is near his ex, Vivian. Emmett never seems to stick up for Ophelia in front of Vivian. Emmett also still has quite a temper and at one point actually violently shoves Ophelia.
>The relationship between Emmett and Ophelia is not at all romantic. They seem to just have angry hook ups. It is so tiring to have Ophelia constantly second guessing Emmett. She needed to make a choice once and for all. Ophelia also makes uncharacteristically stupid choices. Knowing Emmett is jealous, she continues to hang around with Malcom, even though Emmett asked her not to.
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 3 stars. The relationships are all toxic and not at all romantic.

Oh the teenage angst, insecurities, and drama! Rebel definitely knows how to being all the feelings to the forefront. I do most of my ratings based on how much the author can make me feel, and boy did I feel with this book.

We pick up with Emmett and Ophelia as the navigate life after they ended the elites as the town of Jameson knew them. This book focuses on the MAJOR after effects along with how to start a romantic relationship between two people who have so much distrust.

Rebel did it in the most beautifully uncomfortable way. I love that this book really held all the emotions that teenagers feel with the huge highs and lows. She tackled the uncomfortable head on and made it blindly realistic. The mature me was yelling at Emmett and Ophelia while the teenage me relayed to every feeling brought forth.

With only a handful of books under her belt this author will only continue to grow and be a force in the Indie world in the near future!

4.5 Stars

This is the second book in The Elites of Weis-Jameson Prep Academy, and the continuation of Emmett, and Ophelia's tormented story. This book picks up from book one, with Ophelia emotional defeated, by all the bullying the Elites have done to her. Ophelia, is trying to keep Emmett away from her, and out of her life. But when his sister goes missing, she is the first person her turns to, unsure of who else he can trust. This was another amazing book in this series, the characters are well written, and have fiery chemistry. This book is dark, twisted, suspenseful, mysterious, dramatic, emotional, and steamy. I can't wait to read the third book, I highly recommend this series!

The ending!!

Ok so I won’t lie, the beginning was boring and felt like it was dragging in however, the last five chapters and the epilogue was great! I don’t want to post any spoilers but ugh!!! I want to. Definitely can’t wait for book 3 and I hope certain family members and bad guys get what’s coming to them!!!!
