This was my first read in the bully romance genre. The story was well written, there was plenty of angst and deep turmoil between the to main characters. It wasn't the style of bullying I had envisioned but the intimidation was there and at times intense. Brooke Jordan, did a wonderful job in character development and through in an unexpected twist at the end.

If Bully Romance is your genre then you will want to read, You're To Blame!

Wow, I really enjoyed this book. I don't want to give away anything but you want be disappointed. The love-hate relationship between the two main characters was intense. The storyline was really good and I wasn't confused about what was going on. I would recommend this book.

You're To Blame: A High School Bully Romance (Haven Saints High)

I'm speechless and surprised! 4.5⭐⭐⭐⭐

For an author so unknown to me and making such an exciting start to a new book series is fabulous

Tate has been in love with Chelsea for a long time so is his twin brother Mason,
but one terrible event changes everything

Chelsea moves away and years later comes back but Tate hates her
And also accuses her of killing his twin brother
For years has made the girl's life hell and will continue if Chelsea goes to the same school as him
But Tate isn't the only one who wants to destroy girl

The characters were interesting there I really liked Matt Tate's best friend,
he was always helpful and respected Chelsea

Tate Hot Alpha male you either hate him or love him as a bully,
manwhore exchange those girls as he can, rude and cruel

Chelsea unhappy girl survived a trauma like Tate but worse

The two of them had such a love-hate relationship that they fought a lot

If there are beautiful guys in the book then there are beautiful and wicked girls there too

Overall: Was very emotionally, bully traumatic, lies, secrets, jealousy, betrayal, youth
parties, humiliating and steamy scenes

The end of this book was a shock to myself did not believe what I was reading such a twist!😱

Thank you!

I enjoyed the storyline mostly, although there were times i was awfully confused. The ending has completely thrown me off, it just doesn't make sense based on a scene earlier in the book. Although i liked the storyline i very much struggled to get through this book due to the writing. It doesn't flow very well, there were times i was so lost because it jumped from present time into a flashback, but there was nothing to differentiate between the two time frames and i couldn't figure out what it was i was reading.

I really enjoyed the first installment in the series. Chelsea is tortured both by herself and her ex Tate, over the death of his twin Mason. Beneath all of the hate is still love, brewing. When they both finally give in to their tension, the plot twist happens...I won’t give it away but I didn’t expect it...at all. Can’t wait for the next book.

Glad this book was KU

Fortunately this book is part of the KU program. Had it not been, I would have called it a loss and gotten a refund. In doing that I would have missed the twist at the end. Which is intriguing enough to have me wanting to see where this storyline goes.

The concept of the story is solid, the execution not so much. The characters have a long standing history. This history is fed to the reader in bits and pieces but really doesn't convey much feeling to the reader. Making the complex relationship with the main characters fall flat. The potential exists, but we are told how the characters feel rather then being shown the depth of the characters feelings.

The dialog is at times very confusing. At times the reader has no idea which character is speaking.

The timelines portrayed are unclear. Has it been a day? A week? A month? Honestly I'm just not sure.

The twist at the end is definitely intriguing, enough that I need to read the next book to sate my curiosity. Although even in this I am a bit turned off by the heroine's lack of believable reaction.

I am hoping book 2 addresses some of these issues.

Haven Saints High series, You're To Blame is the first installment in this NA/YA book. This is a 2nd chance dark bully romance of high school elites. The book is drama filled, lots of cursing, drinking and sex. As a parent, it's unbelievable that kids get by with this behavior! Be aware this book does have Triggers, ends on a cliffhanger and has lots of editing mistakes. Actual plot is interesting and the suspense is unpredictable...

Tate and Chelsea had crushes on each other until Tates twin brother, Mason, was killed. He blamed her for it and when her and her family moves back to town 4 years later, Tate becomes her bully and makes her an outcast. But Tate still wants her for his own and he will beat anyone down who shows interest in her.

Someone else wants Chelsea and Tate out of the way...

I couldn’t finish. Got 11 pages in. This book could’ve held my attention back in my wattpad days.

Things that annoyed me:
- Grammar and I’m usually not a stickler for this
- The voice and writing was just all over the place and most of the time it didn’t flow or make sense. Just including exposition sentences in the most unnatural ways. Like this felt like a 13 y/o wrote this on wattpad.
- the main character
- There wasn’t a change (italics) for readers to know whether what was happening was a flashback or present day

Things I liked:
- It was free

Has potential, needs a rewrite

The plot was decent, but the prose was stilted with atrocious dialogue segments. There were so many short, choppy sentences. There is a cliffhanger, but if the reader skips the last chapter the story has a good enough resolution to leave it at that. I finished the book, but won't continue the series.

First book read by Brooke Jordan, and I'm glad to say I'm glad I waited to read the first book before the sequel came out. Now i can dive into that immediately! This was so good. I did not see any of this coming.

I get the idea and where the story wants to go, but the story was too disjointed and I found myself re-reading pages to ubderstand the next paragraph. I will red the next book because I feel the story takes a darker turn.

I’ll give this 3.5 because of the plot twist at the end because I didn’t see that coming but there was a lot wrong in this like the grammar and how you couldn’t tell if it was a flash back or present day and some of the dialogue was all over the place

I'm not sure how I feel about this one, it needs some proof reading and editing and over all it was an okay read, again an another book ending on a cliff hanger. and a cliff hanger that came out of left field. Chelsea I'm confused more about than any other character in the story, what Tate said to her was a catalyst for everything that happened next, self harming and attempted suicide are very harsh topics, did the author handle them well in my opinion NO. After having lived with a family member who did the same thing it was quite an eye opener, but also wrong in the way she was handled, not from her parents but her friends, the trigger for this young lady was Tate how do you not get past that, she was bullied terribly for something she didn't do, yet rolled over and just forgive time and time again. How is the future going to luck when you are permanently walking on egg shells like Tate was, he made some huge mistakes with Chelsea put his pain was also understandable. I read the whole tale, did I enjoy it no I didn't, but even more so now that it ended on a dreaded cliff hanger.

Great start to this series.

Be prepared for one h*ll of a wtf cliffhanger at the end of this book. I am dying to know what happens next because this story just drew me in and I can't wait to see what's in store for Tate and Chelsea in You're to Blame 2.

Chelsea and her family have moved back to her home town just in time for her senior year in high school. Too bad Tate, the quarterback of the football team blames her for his twin brother's death years ago and he plans on making her an outcast. This is a great first book for this series and it ends with a twist you won't see coming. I am so looking forward to reading more of this series!!

Twins fighting for the same girl. Tragedy hits their relationship, and she's left a mess. Can she be with the one she loves or will she end up with the one who hates her?
