Realistic art and cute and funny! You get to pretend a dolphin is mixed with other ocean animals, such as a fish and learn about both animals.

We're classifying sharks and dolphins in homeschool science today. This book was great for picking up characteristics that helped indentify dolphins as mammals.

Delfina is a dolphin who wonders what it might be like to be another animal. The reader learns about other animals and how they live compared to Delfina, the dolphin.

The illustrations are wonderful and help to keep the reader engaged. They flow (like water) with a gentle artistry and the use of watercolors is beautifully executed. This is a beautifully written story - simply stated but engaging and educational. I recommend this book to everyone especially elementary children. There is a section in the back called "For Creative Minds". This is an educational section for further learning.

"If a Dolphin were a Fish" is a wonderful book, filled with interesting and detailed illustrations. This book would be a wonderful addition to an ocean unit or a multi-cultural unit. The concept of the book is to understand that every creature is unique in their own way. Its an easy, yet enticing read for elementary ages. Included are three learning activity pages to get the reader involved in with the the many themes of the book. Its a must have!

This book is awesome for teachers! This could be a great way to introduce sea life to students in a way that they could understand. What excited me the most is the content in the back of the book. It has all types of facts about dolphins and creative activities. This book is very classroom friendly.

If a Dolphin Were a Fish is a creative story about a single dolphin and what makes her different from other sea creatures. It makes learning facts extremely easy and fun. It is personalized, so it helps kids relate to the story and each animal. It gives interesting and accurate facts, and even has extra facts at the end. This book could be extremely helpful to teachers and students alike.

Wonderful concept book about what makes a dolphin a dolphin. Almost an exploration of the dolphin as a mammal, but not quite. We really enjoyed the colorful pictures.
