It took me a very long time to read this collection. I have idea why, really. Maybe for the fact that most of the first part of this collection as from the black & White DRACULA LIVES! These stories were outside the flow and time of TOMB OF DRACULA, so they just were sort of off pudding. Then my mood was for lighter and more fun things and this got put of hold for a bit, but last night I finished more than half the book in one sitting.

It was well worth it. Marv Wolfman and Ernie Colan and Tom Palmer do a fantastic job with this series. Not only is it a horror book, but it is also about family and desire, revenge and vengeance, mixing some science with horror and fantasy.

Guest stars: Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange, Hannibal King, Damien Hellstrom, and Blade make up a huge part of the last half of this book. Dracula shows a softer side with his marriage and birth of his son.

Really well done for most of 2/3 of the book. The others are okay, but lacking in feel of a more rounded character than the 2 dimensional view of Dracula.

Another superb collection from the "Tomb of Dracula" that finds the vampire hunters continue to fight against Dracula, along with some surprising Marvel heroes, including the Silver Surfer. Great read from one of the classic horror comics from Marvel with of course brilliant art by Gene Colan. Great read for horror fans.
