Sins of the Father (#1-5). I though OML was headed back to the Wasteland, but nope, he was one last hoorah in Marvel Earth. He needs to kill Mysterio. Brisson tries to be clever here, suggesting that Logan is creating the very threat that he's trying to eliminate in timey-wimeyness. Not like we haven't seen that a billion times. And beyond that the plot is a long meander, with some C-list villains and some C-list X-Men thrown in. Not really a very enthralling start to the beginning of the end for OML [2+/5].

Goodbye (#6). OML saying goodbye to people he cared about in the Marvel Universe has much more resonance. S it turns out Brisson can write [4+/5].

Welcome Back, Logan (#7-12). This volume pretty much does what it needs to. It gets OML back to the Wastelands, it gives some closure to his story there, and it lets him die. It's a decent story, better than the contemporary "Death of Wolverine" that got everything rolling, but as another death-by-edict it's limited in what it can do [3/5].

Logan está llegando al final se su vida, lo sabe, no le importa y lo acepta reconociendo que su vida aún llena de tragedias, tuvo sus momentos buenos en los que sentía que con sus "maldiciones" ayudó a mucha gente en el mundo.

Al final del cómic uno queda con una pequeña reflexión de que cuando nos llega el momento o a nuestros seres queridos, no hay nada que hacer, que es lo único seguro en la vida y al menos, mientras uno llega a ese destino inexorable, lo mejor que puedes hacer en vida es eso... Vivir.

I enjoyed this way more than I thought i would. Prior to this, I had only read Millar's original and Lemire's run on Old Man Logan and thought they were pretty good but nothing special. So much so that I probably would have skipped this if it weren't on my shelf. Basically, I decided to read it just to get it out of the way and make space for something else. I'm really glad I did.
This was a very well-balanced set of stories. Lots of action, some drama, and sprinkles of humor here and there. The artwork is consistently good.

Old Man Logan's epic life is wrapped up here with a nice bow. All his action make perfect sense here both in the 616 and home. I didn't love the antagonists in the Wastelands but I understand the choices. The first half of the book was great storytelling and the last chapter was emotional. The art by Henderson was good throughout. Overall, a very good read involving making amends and settling up at the end.

Entertaining, if uneven. The first half was great. It was the villains and their competing interests that made it so compelling. Unfortunately the conclusion to the first half was rather abrupt. The second half was weaker, but still pretty good. Again, it comes to an abrupt end, a deus ex machina that is both cool and will have you rolling your eyes. Everything comes to a touching end, though.

Отличный финал для отличного персонажа. Вся предыдущая линейка про его жизнь в 616 не осоьо нужна была, по крайнец мере ее можно было сократить. А вот тут все хорошо. И все ключевые моменты закрыли, и попрощались. Рисунок слегка простоват, типичный марвел образца 10х. Советую если понравился оригинальный "старик логан"

Another Marvel book that strives to prove (yet again) that some (more like many) characters rarely die...even when they're actually dead and buried...
There are some nice moments by Ed Brisson in the book, a lot of bloody clone deaths, especially near the end and Mike Henderson's artwork is hugely kinetic throughout.

A truly excellent send-off for Old Man Logan. There's just the right amount of wrapping up storylines, saying goodbye to important characters, and absolutely destroying Neo-Hydra nazis.

Mark Millar's "Old Man Logan" was a really fun alternate-future story but Ed Brisson has made it so much more important and well-fleshed out. He is quickly becoming one of my favorite all-time X-writers.
