One night of unbridled passion.
It was the only thing Andrew McPherson and Grace Morgan could afford.

Intense.
Sexy.
Unforgettable.

They promised they would never see each other again, but fate had other plans.
Andrew’s entire life has been spent working toward one goal—to own the top advertising and public relations company in the world. He’s driven, ruthless when it comes to business, never letting anything stand in his way…until Grace.

Grace has worked hard to build her advertising career. She’s fiercely talented and dedicated to her clients. Grace has no interest in getting involved with a man when she knows her focus should be on her career and paying off her mounting debt.

Andrew knows better than to get involved with a woman who is completely off limits, but he never backs down from what he wants, and he won’t stop until Grace is his…only this might cost him more than he’s willing to give.

Gracie and Drew met at a bar on Gracie's birthday. Both shared a connection and decided to do something not so common for either of them: have a one-night stand, no strings attached.

However, when Gracie goes into the office the next day, Drew (Aka Andrew McPherson) is the man buying the company that she works for.

I think this is a funny trope (Grey's Anatomy style) but we never get to really explore the mechanics of the forbidden office romance because their relationship quickly moves to insta-love.

Drew is obsessed with Gracie and won't take no for an answer. He is overbearing and insists that they will keep a relationship and that she will spend five nights out of seven with him. Although sometimes the alpha possessive hero can be interesting, Drew was always skirting around the lines of what is acceptable, and although he was very sweet sometimes, in others I just felt claustrophobic reading about his actions.

Gracie comes from a very different financial situation than Mr. CEO, and she shares some personal issues she is having and why this isn't the best time in her life for a relationship. But of course, Drew blatantly ignores that and convinces her otherwise. She doesn't really have a lot of connections in her life, but she does have the awesome Jamie as a friend. I really appreciated her character.

From then on there's little to no conflict in the story until the very end, where it felt a little "off-brand" for a guy so head over heels with Gracie to have the reaction that Drew did. Even with his issues with his dad. It was just a weird behavior, that sorta undid a lot of his previous actions. In the end, I was questioning if indeed their relationship just moved too fast. To resolve such an emotional conflict I would have loved to see more groveling, but oh well, everything with that couple just moved in the speed of light.

Overall Unexpectedly Yours was a sweet story of insta-love. But the story did feel over-simplistic with underdeveloped characters. I couldn't really connect with their motivations because everything happened way too fast. However, if you're looking for a quick low angst love story and nice distraction this could be the book for you.

Thank you Social Butterfly PR and Rebecca Shea for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

How do I blog about this book? I like the writting. The wording is easy to listen without have to think hard. The story is promising. I thought it will be angst and bit forbidden since this is office romance.

What I do not like is the story/ plot. The author brings many aspect on this book. Financial, the contrast between Gracie and Drew, family background, sibling, etc. But the conclusion of those aspects were over so soon. Instead the story is more focusing on how Drew so in love with Gracie. The description of the condo, the baking, etc.

Thats where I really lost. I got bored to be honest. And what really throws me off is how Drew reacts toward Gracie about the surprise pregnancy. What the heck? After focusing on how much he loves her and then suddenly he pushed her off?? Even at the end, where Drew grovels, seems so weak and pathetic.

It is such a pity of promising stort to be weak at the execution.

So this was my first Rebecca Shea book. She is a new to me author, and I can't wait to check out her other work, because if it was anything like this then I know I will love it all!

I went in blind not knowing what to expect, and I was impressed. I love a good office romance and this ticked all the right boxes!

Gracie's life has been anything but easy but has worked hard to make a change in her life, she works hard in her career and for everything she has... She works a little too hard it would seem. So when her best friend urges her to let down her hair and have some fun, she does... Which leads her to have a one night stand after a night out. She meets a guy named Drew and they spend a night together full of heat, fun, and passion, he was just in town on business, so it was perfect for them both... Or so Gracie thought.

Drew is a rich man, he's a CEO but he didn't act as one, he didn't act anything better than anyone else. He was swoon-worthy and had me from the start, and it would appear he had Gracie from the moment they met too. Even though these two were anti-relationship and commitment. You could see that they had a connection and the chemistry was off the charts. I couldn't get enough and I loved the way the author weaved her words together with this plot. It was unique in a sense and what I thought I knew would happen, turned out it didn't happen quite the way I thought it would.

I want to dive deeper into this and tell you about how it all went down, but I won't. You need to read this and fall in love with these characters as I did.

Such a fun, hot and enticing read. Couldn't get enough!

“Let him care for you. Let him love you.”

Unexpectedly You was an easy, low drama read. A bit of flirty fun, intense insta-love and lots of hot passionate sex. Lots of sex! Drew and Gracie certainly had fervent sexual chemistry and one very fiery sex life!

‘I used to roll my eyes at the cheesy insta-love romances that I enjoy reading, never believing that love could happen so easily…..love can happen instantaneously. I truly believe that now.’

Sometimes we just need an entertaining story to escape into and Rebecca Shea delivered just that. In Andrew (Drew) McPherson, she gave us a domineering yet vulnerable and yummy CEO of AM Advertising, one of the country’s foremost powerhouse advertising firms. Drew is not without issues – sibling rivalry and betrayal to name a couple, and Gracie entering his life knocks him for six.

A one-night stand was supposed to be just that. A night of wild passion and a parting of ways…but of course…. You know what they say about the best-laid plans? Drew and Gracie’s paths cross (well, more like collide) when Drew buys out Williams Global, the company Gracie works for. Her hot one-night stand is now her very hot boss. Awkward!

‘It was supposed to be one night where I freed myself of the expectations I constantly put on myself.’

Grace (Gracie) Morgan carries the trouble of the world on her shoulders, always caring about everyone else, taking on responsibility well beyond her means. Drew falls hard and fast for Gracie. Here is a woman who doesn’t just take, she’s full of sass and doesn’t take his crap, questioning him at every turn.

Drew and Gracie have one hell of an insta love affair – physically they can’t keep their hands off each other, emotionally, they fall hard and fast – even 48 hours after their wild night, Drew wants Gracie to move in with him. Talk about moving fast!

‘He went from zero to sixty in a week.’

Rebecca Shea wrote a drama-free, easy read romance, delivering a sizzling romantic connection between Drew and Gracie. We didn’t feel as though we were meant to get to know the characters on a deeper level, we were simply meant to enjoy their intense fast-paced romantic and sexually charged relationship, which we did.

“Stop trying to save me,” she snaps. “I don’t need to be rescued.”

Fabulously entertaining supporting characters brought us some light-hearted moments. Drew and Gracie’s battle of wills entertained us as the controlling alpha met his match in the independent Gracie.

Unexpectedly Yours is my second Rebecca Shea book and If we're honest, I'm not sure how I feel.

Let's start with the fact that this in an Advance Reader Copy Review Provided by Social Butterfly. I signed up because, who doesn't love a forbidden office romance. The cover and the synopsis was my original draw-card, and this book reviewer just had to know more.

"We weren't supposed to see each other again." "Who said?" He challenges me. "I don't remember any agreement , just that there were no strings attached-"

This conversation was the very thing that drew me in. It captivated me. Made me take notice of the characters dynamics and how they moved forward from being the dreaded one night stand turned I have to see you every day relationship.

From here Gracie and Drew's relationship moved so fast I almost couldn't keep up with the time line. One minute she's telling him no, to not even fourty-eight hours later, basically agreeing to move in with him, even though she's denying that little factor.

Spending five nights out of Seven with the guy you haven't really known past the biblical sense wasn't a deal breaker for me, especially when all cards, including past relationships and family/financial issues were laid on the table at the first proper date ...

This was FANTASTIC I rarely come across a book where the characters are pretty much an open and honest right off the bat. Most couples like to play card to the chest and feel the other person out before they get into the heavy.

There were aspects about Drew that I absolutely adored, his shift in attitude towards his brother was basically his defining moment.

Gracie stated off as a take no prisoners kinda girl, she showed flare and back bone, but with Drew I felt like she could have just as easily been a door mat, and I'm sorry but even broken and completely stressed out, I like my heroine's stronger than this.
Yes there were times when she showed that back bone again and Drew caved to her but I felt those were few and far between.

However, I loved, abso-freaking-lutley loved that Gracie wanted to handle her finical problems on her own when Drew could have easily paid the whole debt for her. This showed her integrity, it proved the determination she showed about making her and her mother life better. To me this was perfect.

I felt this story moved to fast even for an Insta-Love, and I'm undecided if I want Aaron and Jamie to have their own story. I loved them as side characters.

Let me start off by saying I thoroughly enjoy Rebecca's writing and her characters. I know that going into her books, I am going to enjoy the story and love these characters.

Unexpectedly Yours is a very fast-paced insta-love story. As you all know, I am not a huge of insta-love stories - they are really hard sells for me. Andrew and Grace's story is one that I am not 100% sold on as insta-love but the chemistry is truly undeniable between them.

Andrew is immediately smitten with Grace after their one-night stand together. Grace isn't one to just jump into bed after meeting someone. So she is totally thrown off balance when he shows up at work the next day and finding out that he will be the new owner of her company.

Grace is ready to move and she tells him that she needs space and that their rumble in the sheets won't be a repeat performance. However, Andrew isn't letting her get away that easily. He is man that always get what he wants and has never been told no before.

Andrew definitely is the more persistent one in this relationship and refuses to let Grace just walk away. He's definitely going into new territory with the begging and groveling but he know it breaks down the walls that Grace has up.

As I said, this book moves at a very fast pace. Andrew is the driving force behind their relationship moving forward. Grave tries to maintain a level head by attempting to slow things down, but he isn't having it. He's afraid that he'll lose her if she gets insider her head and downplays the attraction one another.

I do like the fact that Rebecca has the characters questioning the pace of their relationship to help maintain that level of normalcy. But I also enjoy how Andrew doesn't care and wants to pursue this. There definitely is that back and forth that help keeps things more real.

Overall, it is good read and I enjoyed that simplicity of this book. There isn't any over the top drama and has the overall happy vibe that comes off the pages. Most romance readers will gobble this book up and love all over it. Rebecca never steers her readers wrong and Unexpectedly Yours is another example of that.

„You know I’m a man who gets what I want, don’t you?”

I’M. IN. LOVE.
Oh, how delightful this book was! Unexpectedly Yours is a perfect combination of insta-love and office romance. It’s unbelievably steamy and heartwarming. Grace and Drew had my heart from the very beginning and I was so immersed in their story that I couldn’t even take a break!

Drew had me in his grasp instantly. His persistence to convince Gracie that they are meant for each other and determination to tear down her walls made me want to get inside this book and snatch him for myself. He’s stubborn, he knows what he wants and he’ll do anything to get it. He’s also caring, attentive and generous. Despite the fact that he faced tremendous betrayal in his life, he saw clearly what fate put in front of him and he knew that he can’t let Gracie slip out of his hands.

Gracie is a smart, independent woman with a lot on her shoulders, but she’s determined to solve her problems on her own. She’s also feisty and doesn’t take anyone’s crap. Her life situation made her convinced that she can’t afford the distraction of a man and that’s exactly why she was so hesitant to develop the relantionship with Drew.

It all started with a night full of passion and unrestrained lust. But their chemistry was totally off the charts and even the obstacles placed in their path couldn’t separate them. Drew and Gracie’s journey to happy ending is a battle of wills, filled with steam so thick that’s completely impossible to see anything beyond the two of them.

Unexpectedly Yours is my first read from Rebecca Shea and it definitely won’t be last! It was fast-paced, low on drama, totally adorable and incredibly sexy. I loved Rebecca’s writing style, the characters were simply wonderful and the storyline was great. I really hope that we’ll get Aaron and Jamie’s book! Drew’s brother and Grace’s bestie piqued my interest and their story is very promising!

Ok.. what’s with the surprise pregnancies all of the sudden.? This book was the mother of the tropes, the mother of the clichés. Doesn’t anyone knows how to use protection anymore? the twat TSTL heroine was like but I have only had sex a couple of times (paraphrasing here) I’m like girl how stupid can you be?

I thoroughly enjoyed Drew and Gracie's whirlwind romance. Neither character was looking for love but love found them both. Drew's control-freak ways are hilarious and although Grace seems to have good intentions, she normally craves and let's him get his way.

They come from different worlds but soon learn how to mesh their lives together. They waste no time, and why should they. New York is a fast-paced life so they apply that principle to their relationship too.

Drew doesn't like when things don't go as planned and Gracie is almost helpless against his little-boy eyes but can't deny he makes good arguements and seems to always be right. Unexpectedly Yours was a joy to read and listen too. The characters made me smile and laugh and the steam level is a 10 plus in this book.

This was my first audiobook and it was an awesome experience. For much of the book, I read along while listening and really enjoyed reading this way. I loved the narrator's. They did an excellent job portraying the emotions of the characters and kept me interested from start to finish.

I look forward to Aaron and Jamie's story, which I hope the author has planned. I especially love the thick New Yorker accent of Jamie and hope the narrator of her book pulls it off.

This was my first Rebecca Shea book and I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. This wasn’t so much an office romance but a chance meeting insta-love romance. It was fast paced and romantically stimulating. There was undeniable chemistry and romance for miles.

Teddy Hamilton and Callie Dalton were ridiculously perfect for this book. I could imagine these characters in my head as I listened.

I’ll definitely be picking up more books by Rebecca in the future.

Gracie and Drew met one night at a bar. The one night she decides to step out of her shell. She never thought she’ll see the hottie again until the next day. Surprise surprise he wants more. This story turned into a beautiful love story of two people from different upbringings that had so much in common. She carried everyone’s struggles on her shoulders and he just wanted to take care of her. He was just the ultimate alpha and she was just so sweet. She was reluctant towards lots of things and Drew always got his way. They helped each other overcome some of their past issues and they were a great team. There was an oops by Drew by the way he reacted towards something but other than that beautiful. And the epilogue?!?! Couldn’t deny loving Drew even more after that epilogue and Gracie was just amazing and deserved all the happiness.

OMG I loved this story! After meeting and having a one-night stand, Gracie and Drew go their separate ways, only to find out hours later that Drew is Gracie’s new boss. While she tries to move past it, although she has already definitely developed feelings and chemistry with him, Drew doesn’t take no for an answer after having feelings towards her that he’s never had before and continues to work towards breaking down her walls any way that he can. Things definitely progress fast between these two regarding their relationship because of Drew’s tenacity and because of Gracie’s past and background, it makes it difficult (with reason) for her to fully trust in Drew, but when she does their relationship is seamless and amazing. While I loved the storyline, there wasn’t much drama until the end, where a surprise for the couple ends up dividing them and Gracie runs. Thankfully they have friends and family who understand each other them and support them and work to get them back together. While I felt the drama part of things was pretty rushed in the end, overall I really loved and enjoyed this book!

Rebecca Shea is another new to me author. Office romances are a favorite so I wanted to check it out. This one started as a one night stand. Grace and Drew clicked and had a memorable time. The next day upon learning Drew now Andrew bought the company she's working at and their company will merge.

This wasn't what I expected though when I hoped for the office romance forbidden romance part. There wasn't much of that to explore. It was pretty insta-love after a few denials. Sometimes I can be sold on the that factor but I generally am not a fan of it. So while there's a lot of chemistry going on for Andrew and Grace I was not sold on them together as much.

Initially Grace is adamant about nothing to continue despite Drew's persistence. Ok that was a bit borderline much. Sometimes the possesive alpha works sometimes it be a little over than acceptable, imo. He can be sweet too. They were a tad fast but thankfully they have a balance Andrew wants to move speedy fast but Grace is unsure. They do question the pace somewhat which is a good thing. I'm glad they were open about issues right away, honesty is refreshing.

So the conflict well it was a bit abrupt. Andrew is doesn't care much about the obstacles, Grace's in her head times. The last bit back and forth was something that kept me interested. Grace had good moments and also ones where she didn't seem to have back bone. The writing was pretty good easy enough. This book is pretty straightforward and simple from the blurb to the end. Not so much drama so it's one of the reads to lighten in between heavy ones for me. It's predictable but fun sweet romance that.I'm sure many will enjoy.

One of my most favorite stories by this author. She grabbed my attention right from the start and I was along for the ride right until the end. The chemistry between Drew and Gracie was off the charts and I loved how Drew just kept going for what he wanted. ~Jen

"Unexpectedly Yours
Gracie and Drew meet in a bar one night, they shared a connection and decide a “one night stand” is what they both want, one night no expectations. However, in the light of a new day they see each other again, and Drew decides we wants more.

This was a fun and cute read, but don’t let that fool you too much, they sure do put off the heat, yowza!! On office romance, with a bit of an alpha male and one feisty heroine. This book gives you all the feels, if your looking for a story with lots of angst you won’t get it here, you will however get a book that will pull at your heart strings, and believe that nice guys and gals do finish first and get everything they could ever want. I was excited to read this book, as I do like Rebecca Shea's stories. This story flowed smoothly and easily and it sucked me in from the very first page to the very last. Her writing creates a world that is easy to visualize in the mind and made me feel all the emotions that her characters were.

Grace is a sweet and kind hearted woman who carries the weight of the world on her shoulders. I admired Grace for wanting to handle her stresses independently without help from her wealthy beau. Drew is a strong alpha male who knows what he wants and what he wants is Grace. Their relationship is a whirlwind romance and happens quite quickly. When these two come together it's fireworks!

I am not a fan of insta-love books, but I definitely am a fan of this one. It's hot, sexy, sweet with a touch of angst and I enjoyed every word.

Cute office romance book! Perfect for the pool, chilling in the tub, or reading at the gym.
Our main characters, Grace (Gracie) and Drew (Andrew) meet at a bar and even though it's not the norm for them, they have a one-night stand.
Imagine the surprise when they meet each other the next day, IN THE OFFICE! The story is a little office romance, a little insta-love, and a bit of an alpha dude that always gets what he wants. Book bonus - great side characters!
Shea's writing is easy to read, doesn't have any silly bs drama, and is a happy-type read.
Looking forward to more from Rebecca Shea!

3.5 stars!

Office romances are among some of my favourites, especially ones which are set up like Unexpectedly Yours. Grace and Drew meet in a bar on Grace's birthday and have a one-night stand with no commitment.

But imagine Grace's surprise when she shows up for work the next morning, having 'borrowed' her one-night stand's shirt to avoid the walk of shame, to learn Drew has taken over the advertising agency she works for and is now her new boss.

This is a great set up because it keeps you intrigued and you want to know how the relationship will develop but also how they'll keep the professionalism in the work place. But Unexpectedly Yours never really got into that, because Drew and Grace went from zero to sixty in 0.3 seconds and it suddenly became an insta-love story which are really not my favourite.

I love to read about how a couple blossom in their new relationship and begin to open up to one another, it makes me so much more invested in their story. Drew buying an apartment after 3 days of knowing Grace because he claims he knows she's it for him is far from believable and also gave me some uncomfortable vibes, considering the number of times she told him she didn't want a relationship at the time and how she wasn't overly happy with his lifestyle compared to hers. He just kept pushing her to do what he wanted, becoming borderline obsessed, even though at times he was sweet, like with her financial problems, I'm glad he didn't swoop in and pay them off. However, like with furnishing his condo, he just kept pushing, becoming overbearing at times.

I loved Grace, although I do wish she had stood up for herself more, coming from a completely different background to Drew. I completely understood how she was feeling, but I think she got swept up in the whole thing, especially with the alpha possessive man not letting her decide what she wants. I was happy she had Jamie in he rlife as a support system, she was such a great character who was there for Grace when she needed her most.

The insta-love story-line snowballs and within weeks the couple are living HEA, until the final few chapters when a predictable twist arrives. However, Drew's reaction to twist goes against his behaviour from the rest of the book and to be honest, that's what made me knock more than a star off my review rating. Even though it was explained why he reacted that way, I think he acted terribly and I wish there had been more grovelling before he was forgiven, but like the rest of the book, that was quickly resolved too. The ending just made me dislike the insta-love trope even more because everything with their relationship had moved so fast, certain conversations hadn't been had and I just wish it had had more time to develop.

I did enjoy reading about how Drew repaired his relationship with his brother and how he seemed so much more content with life after his past relationship trouble. Their time in California was sweet too because Drew wanted to show Grace everything about him. You could see how much Drew did care about Grace, and ultimately, I did think they were a good fit, but it just felt like everything moved at the speed of light and I wanted more chance to become invested in their relationship.

Overall, this book is a easy read if you're looking for something with minimal drama and a quick hot relationship. I didn't really connect with any of the characters because everything happened so fast, and I was disappointed with the direction it took after a really great premise, but it was a light, hot read on a weekend afternoon!

Five Outstanding Stars

This is by far one of the best office romances I have ever read!!! You will absolutely and completely fall for the alpha, over-controlling, swelteringly sexy Drew McPherson. Gracie Morgan is fiercely independent, strong, snarky and so perfect for Drew. It was only supposed to be a one night stand. Grace was going way out of her comfort zone for her birthday and prodding from her BFF, Jaime who is hilarious. Drew is in town for business and they both agree to a night of passion. Gracie only feels mildly bad that she has to steal his clean laundered shirt the next morning for work and sneaks out as he is still asleep. That is until she comes face to face with him in the conference room at her work and he whispers in her ear, "nice shirt." Drew is actually in town buying Grace's company and is now her boss.

Drew knows what he wants and he wants Gracie. And as much as Gracie wants Drew she worries that they come from different places financially and she needs to focus on work and pay off past debts. Well Mr. McSwoony just needs to know that Grace feels the same and Drew is on a mission and wow, so much wow. Their relationship is so much more than the hottest sex ever. They have the best banter and really develop an understanding of what the other one needs. A completely funny, at times emotional, and definitely combustably hot romance that you will love. Easily your next 1 click.

Just WOW Rebecca Shea! That was the first thing that came to mind when thinking about how to express the enjoyment I had with “Unexpectedly Yours”. So much fun, so much power, so much passion, and so much heat.

Gracie has always worked to get where and what she wanted. Being the alpha gal can put a woman in barren territory sometimes, and one night stands sometimes have hidden meanings when the light of day appears.

Drew is the alpha male that is anything and nothing if not always busy. He has built on the family success and created an empire to be proud of. But as with those that keep their nose to the grindstone, most times there are underlying issues. Hurt and pain still follow him, even if he tries to suppress those issues.

Reading this story reminded me of how often people will not get out of the way to let love in. Logic always goes out the door first when emotions are mixed into a situation. With these two, moving fast is only part of the problem. The rest they are discovering as they go ... even the unexpected.

Rebecca Shea paints a picture as clear as the lights that brighten around our characters hearts. She gives them the opportunity to discover what it really means to accept, love and heal. In the end, that was such a powerful gift for them both. What a great story and worth all the stars that can be given.

Rebecca Shea is a new to me author and after reading this book I can’t wait to read more from her. Unexpectedly Yours is a great office romance that sucked me in from page one.

Gracie works hard when it comes to her career, she has been faced with a lot of struggles throughout her life and is willing to work hard to make things easier. When her best friend Jamie tells her to have some fun, that leads to a one night stand with a man named Drew who is just in town on business. She doesn’t expect to ever see him again. Drew may be a rich CEO but he doesn’t act like it. Drew is determined to get what he wants and that is Gracie. He is sweet and protective and definitely will have you swooning.

Drew and Gracie are both anti relationships for different reasons, but there is something that keeps drawing them to each other. These two had an instant connection and the more time they spent together it just continued to grow and grow.

This story is a great office romance, that is swoony, steamy and has a little drama that will make you want to slap some sense into Drew but it is a MUST READ!

Drew’s brother, Aaron, and Gracie’s best friend, Jamie, are intriguing and I truly hope they end up getting a story because I need to know more about them.

This was my first book by Rebecca Shea and I should kick myself for not reading her sooner. So that means I will now have to go back and binge-read everything she has written.

I have always believed in love at first sight, but I’m a hopeless romantic like that. You see that certain someone and something in your spirit just knows. Drew knows and Gracie is about to learn.

Imagine trying to pull yourself out of a hole, but instead, you keep falling deeper and deeper. Kinda like the crab syndrome. As soon as you think you can see the top you get pulled back down to start all over again. That would be Gracie.

Picture lying in bed with a beautiful woman you picked up in a bar, but something tells you this is not a one night stand. Only to discover the next morning you are alone. But fate, being what it puts you back in this woman’s life.

Rebecca was able to give a whirlwind office romance that was believable. I felt a connection between the characters immediately. I love an alpha take charge man and a woman that can stand her own with him. In Unexpectedly Yours we got both.

There was everything you could want in this story. Laughter, tears, anger, confusion and a HEA! What a great, fun read!

I actually enjoyed this title, even though the review is a little neutral, so to speak.

The writing was strong, and the characters were fun and enjoyable...but, for some reason, I was never really that engaged with either Drew or Gracie. And, I have thought about it for a bit, and I think the reason is that nothing that happened was a surprise. I knew where the story was going to go, and I knew how they were going to get there, and for the most part I was right.

And, well, this is not all that uncommon a thing to happen in a romance, as there are certain things that have to happen, and that you know will, for the book to work as a romance. But, all of that said and acknowledged, this one fell flat on the way to the ending for me.

But, all of this said, I didn't necessarily dislike it, I think I was just wanting something that felt a little more original and not one that felt like it took the path that was the easiest to follow on the way to the happy ending.

I did enjoy and do recommend this book, as a fun but predictable romance.

4 1/2 out of 5 stars

Grace and Drew! Drew and Grace! Man, these two are so perfect for each other - even if their lives couldn't be more different!

They have a one-night stand and that's supposed to be it...but the insta-love they feel is undeniable and I loved watching them come to terms with it.

This story is a pretty simple story of two people who meet and fall in love and instantly go from strangers to a couple. I love this kind of story because it's nothing like my real life. I love that Drew wanted to take care of Grace and that Grace let him (mostly).

I recommend this story especially if you're looking for a great escape read and something to leave you feeling happy from what you just read!

Unexpectedly Yours

Unexpectedly Yours by Rebecca Shea is one of those feel-good swoon stories.  Being swept off your feet and given the world stories that was just supposed to be a one-night thing.   But life isn't always that simple or easy. Ms. Shea has given us a story that makes you swoon, want to throttle someone and swoon again.

Andrew is living the life he has fallen into, but an agreed-upon night with Grace is what he is accustomed to.  But when the table or the conference room table is now between them, what could go wrong?

Andrew wants what he wants and will do about anything to get it or give it.

Grace has worked for everything and has taken the world on her shoulders and doesn't want help.  But when the ever-persistent Andrew keeps stepping in the path of her, what will happen?

This story is a charming story of letting down walls, realizing what you really want, steamy encounters, flirting, life, love and finding happiness through it all.

I absolutely loved this one and I am SO glad I got put on the review tour for this, so thank you to Social Butterfly PR! For being my first book from Rebecca Shea, this knocked it out of the ballpark for me and I have to read others by her. I was prepared to go into this one maybe not liking Grace's character because the rich man-poor woman trope is tricky for me, and often times the woman is TOO hard headed, or too much against help or leaning on someone. Though Grace almost went that way a few times, I really appreciated that she recognized his help was because it was putting her down but because he genuinely wanted to help her because he loved her. I just really enjoyed this and finished it in one sitting.

What’s the likelihood that the one-night stand, that you met in a bar in NYC is your new boss? Well for Gracie, it’s 100% likely!!!

When Drew shows up in the conference room the next morning and his crystal blue eyes meet her hazel eyes, you just know this book is going to get interesting! At that moment, Drew knows he wants more than just one night with this girl!!!

Their relationship is tumultuous, because he wants so much more than she’s ready to give. But things move at an expedited pace and my heart barely had time to keep up!

UNEXPECTEDLY YOURS was unexpectedly amazing! It is the perfect book for a snuggly winter read. It will lift your spirits and send your heart soaring!!!

A swoon worthy romance mixed with angst and a ton of stubbornness. This book takes you on an unexpected journey of finding love when you least expect. One night stands should be just that unless you have a soul shaking connection. Sometimes what you want most and what your heart craves smack in in the face. It's a love that knocks you on your butt and makes you second guess the choices you make. The characters are so easy to connect with and you can't help but love them. I enjoyed the writing and it was done at just the right pace. This is one of those books that just makes you smile. I suggest you pickup a copy and enjoy this incredible book.
