What if you achieved your dream – and it turned out to be a nightmare?

For twenty-six years, I’ve chased money, fame, and beauty.
Being a movie star and dating Nick, one of the hottest pop stars in the world, should have been all I ever wanted. Except, his drugs and jealousy almost cost me my life when he shot me.

Now that Nick is on the run from the police, I promised my twin, Faith, to take a break and spend two weeks in the forest with Onava, a famous Native American healer. It was supposed to be a pleasant and relaxing detox from my crazy world of fans, social media, and paparazzi.

But my peace was over the minute Onava got called away, and her grandson Adam moved into the small cabin instead.
Adam might be a medicine man and healer like Onava, but he’s rude and shows no sympathy for my situation. What’s worse is his ridiculous idea that I’m in this mess because I don’t know how to set personal boundaries. I guess I’ll just have to spend the remaining time practicing on Adam, which shouldn’t be too hard as he gets on my nerves.

Yellow, is the fifth and last book in Elin Peer’s contemporary romance series, Clashing Colors. Like all her books, it’s fast-paced and offers both humor, wisdom, and heart. Fall in love with two flawed characters who are complete opposites and not the least bit attracted to each other, or so they say…

I was really anxious for Elin Peer’s YELLOW, because I had a little crush on Adam in VIOLET. This was a very different book from the others in the series, and I loved that! It shows an author’s talent if she isn’t constantly writing the same story over and over.

Chloe/Cleo must have been a difficult character to write. She was so complicated! A major Hollywood star, she’d drifted far from her roots. Life in the plastic world of stardom had robbed her of some of her judgment when it came to looking past the surface, and she’d lost perspective about how much fame was costing her. She learned some very difficult lessons in this book.

Adam was a healer, a Native American man who was dedicated to his people. He was put in a position of having to help Chloe, and while he tried, the differences between them were wide. He was very complicated, as well, and he had life experiences that had taught him to avoid relationships with women who weren’t Native American. This was a unique twist that I loved.

I loved that, throughout the book, Adam and Chloe continued to make mistakes. They were so different and committed to their lives and beliefs that it would have been unbelievable if they could have come to understanding and agreement without the mistakes and misunderstandings.

I’m a fan of angst-ridden stories, when characters are emotionally hurt by those to whom they are attracted or in love. It’s a part of life that we all suffer from time to time. This wasn’t over-the-top angst, but Chloe was hurt by Adam. He didn’t do it deliberately, but the result was the same. As I got to know Adam, I could tell he did it to protect himself and his lifestyle, and Chloe’s personality and lifestyle demanded things he wasn’t prepared for. Working through that meant a lot to me.

It was great to see the other characters again. I’m going to miss them after this, so will definitely be rereading the series. Glad to think that Darren is getting his HEA, too. I wholeheartedly recommend this book and this series, though you should read them in order. It makes more sense.

Thanks, Elin, for taking us into the wonderful world of Clashing Colors!

Yellow is a truly outstanding finish to the Clashing Colors series! The story was
everything I expected and more. Adam and Chloe's journey was perhaps a little
more rough and roundabout but that just made the ending more satisfying! It
was a superb story and I look forward to the next series! Without a doubt Elin
Peer has become one of a select few on my must read right now list!

Such an unlikely couple, which made this an engaging read. I especially loved how this novel tied in the title, as well as the series title. It's like the whole thing came full circle, and I really enjoyed that.

This one has lots of drama and silly mix-ups, as well as a twin swap that amused me. Both characters had to reevaluate who they were and what they really wanted in life. It made for an interesting journey, though I do wish they had stayed in the woods longer.

This final book in the Clashing Colors series had me captivated from beginning to end. The push and pull between Chloe and Adam is pure passion.
Cleo is the big movie actress, but in reality just the alter ego of Chloe, the insecure girl who just want to be loved for being her, not her looks or parts on the big screen.
Adam is the very grounded Native American medicine man and healer, who desperately tries to stick to his plan of finding a Native wife, but fails miserably when he falls head over heels for Chloe.
Like with any Elin Peers book, there is a lot of personal growth for the characters, before they find themselves and their happy ever after.

Didn't realize this was the fifth book in a series. The story wasn't compelling for me, I didn't really care about the characters. Not a book for me

THIS BOOK WAS AH-MAZING! I loved this book from beginning to end. Chloe aka Cleo is an easily likeable person which I would not have first assumed when noting her millionaire status. However, she is the epitome of "can't judge a book by its cover". She is loved around the world but she doesn't truly love herself. In her quest to find peace she meets Adam Black. Adam makes Chloe take some hits to her already low self-esteem. Chloe shows a side of herself, the vulnerable side, to Adam that no one else gets to see. They are from two different worlds. Adam is from one of poverty and Chloe makes millions a year. She fiercely believes that the difference doesn't matter. Adam, on the other hand, doesn't think that merging their two worlds will ever work. Will Adam break Chloe's already fragile heart? Elin Peer brings back every main character from her previous Clashing Colors books in this final installment of the series. I am so sad that the series is ending but I have thoroughly enjoyed every book in the series. I can't wait to see what Elin has up her sleeve next!

Wow! I think this was the best of the Clashing Colors Series! I was hooked on story from page one and now thats i finished, i want there to be another book. I loved the evolution of the chemistry between Chloe and Adam, it made the bond between them feel more intense because of the resistance they exerted. Another great book from Elin Peer, definitely worth giving a chance!

Yellow is the last book in the series and tells a wonderful story of Adam and Chloe/Cleo. All the books in the series tells the story of how a man and woman who have absolutely nothing in common, whose beliefs are completely different can find love and become loving couples.

In this story Adam is a very devoted, focused, well grounded Native American who is dedicated to the belief that he has to marry an Native American woman. In his culture he is known as a healer and serves Chloe when she is at a spiritual low. Cleo is a beautiful Oscar winning millionairess who speaks with a fake English accent. Her actress name is Cleo and her real name is Chloe. Chloe suffers a traumatic event with a boyfriend that lands her in the hospital evaluating her life. Chloe's twin sister makes her a deal that forces Chloe to see a spiritual leader who can help get her life together. Chloe and Adam clash from the start but eventually love melts away all barriers and before you know it they are professing their love for each other.

I loved this series that tells the story of people who are so different, so much on opposite ends of the scale that you believe they can never get together, get together and find their love. All the characters are great. This should not have been the last book in the series though. There was one character who was left out whose name is Darren. Darren should have gotten his book and his love story with Liam should have been told.

I believe in love. I believe you can't help who you love.

I received this book from bookfunnel for my honest review and have to say I'm proud to do so. First, let me say, I have a long Native American Heritage and parts of this storyline hit close to home for me. There were tears from sad truths and my chest puffed up with pride over varying parts. Thank you for that Elin. Cleo is a mega star actress voted sexiest woman in the world but she's been in a mental, verbal and physically abusive relationship with a rock star for 2 years. This have steadily declined to the point she's shot in the chest. Only by a miracle was it inched enough it didn't go through her heart and she survives. Her twin Faith is so worried about her after she's released from the hospital that she gets Cleo to promise to visit a Native American woman who can help her with her detox from the Hollywood existence and become more grounded. Two days after being there Onava must leave to tend to her sick mother and has made arrangements for her nephew Adam to come and pick up where she has left off. Cleo and Adam have met before but each are hoping the other doesn't remember. Following these two through the journey they need to go through in order to grow individually to get to the HEA was a treasure that you won't want to miss.

Each color a different story, completely different than the one before it, each one touching home to the heart with an important message wrapped and delivered beautifully. Yellow is no different. We get to follow Chloe and Adam as they battle against the boundaries, prejudice, their past and predisposed beliefs. The healing that is needed isn't one sided and neither is the story. While I was really about fed up with Adam, understanding the pain and narrow minded thinking of his past and his fight against his attraction to Chloe explain it all. There was lot of laughter reading this book especially the highlanders and Darren, I even caught myself snorting and just as quickly sniffling as the plight of Native Americans and their families and history was brought forth.

The extra that helped make this book an amazing read is why this author is so successful, because it is always a full well rounded story with no gaps. Absolutely beautiful. I have thoroughly enjoyed the Clashing Colors Series and all of the characters that made it special. I am ready for the next adventure this author will provide. I can hardly wait. I dare you to walk away untouched, Chloe didn't.

The final book of the Clashing Color series. While it wasn't my favorite of the series ( that would be Green) the story of egotistical, self centered Cleo aka Chloe who falls for the one person who swears he would never be with a women like her Adam gives a clear conclusion as to why this series is call Clashing Colors.
Watching them go back and forth with each other was what make the story stand on it's own. I wasn't sure what to think of Chloe as she has made previous appearance in the series this book give you the opportunity to see what she has gone through and to really see why Chloe has become Cleo. Cleo is living in a world run by others and watching her come back to being Chloe was eye opening and uplifting. And lucky her she had a hunky native to show her what was there all along but hiding behind the facade of Cloe.
The analogy used to describe the Chloe & Adam's relationship was truly remarkable. While this may be classified as a romance book there is more underneath that. Like this amazin snippet; "Self confidence is about what you can do. While self-esteem is about who you are."
Be prepared to look not into Chloe growth but to question yourself as well.

This is the final book in the Clashing Colors series and does not disappoint. It is a stand alone with its own happily ever after, however there are cross-over characters and would be best if you read the series in order. Don't worry. Each book is different and is not a "cookie cutter" type of story where just the names of the characters change. And speaking of characters, Elin Peer has a knack for creating ones that you can relate to and that are believable. Not every author can do that. I feel very fortunate that I stumbled across her Slave Series because I discovered a GREAT new author. I have thoroughly enjoyed every book that I have read by her (which is all of them!) and I anxiously await the next series.

If I am being honest I was not sure how much I would like Chole’s book. I felt like she was just a self centered diva. I didn’t like how she always seem to think she was better than everyone including her own twin. Also the fact that she tried to come onto Faith’s man in the last book didn’t settle well with me. I was excited for Adam to come back because he seemed like an amazing guy from the little we learned about him in Violet. But I didn’t think that he should end up with someone like Chole. However, as the book moved forward and Chole started to see her jadded behavior and starts to work on becoming a better person and sees all the way that she went wrong.

This book was narrated by Noelle Bridges and John Masterson, they did a great job.

Once again Elin Peer has out done herself with another wonderful book. Chloe/ Cleo has a lot to learn about herself and her lack of self-esteem. Adam (from Violet) is the one to step in to help. The stuff that Chloe does, self-sabotage, fear of being lonely and jumping to conclusions is so spot on. Their story is really touching and so realistic, like all the other books in Clashing Colors.

With this being the last book of the series, I feel like I am losing the friends I just got to know so well. Elin Peer writes such realistic characters you feel like you are actually getting to know real people. Such an amazing book, series, and author. Highly recommend this book.

Enjoyable series, love the author

Adam Black falls for Chloe, an actress during a stressful time of her life. They are opposing sides of nature but grow on the end together. Very good ending to the series and Elin keeps bringing honest stories, with imperfect people together. There are bumps in the roads, but somehow it pulls you in. My one and only complaint was his name because Adam Black is a seriously sexy Fae prince that's mischievous in another series I've read. My mind kept seeing the both Adam's and going...who is hotter?

I was really enjoying this until 3/4 through and encountered the most colossal misunderstanding in novel history. It was so weak and frankly unnecessary to break the couple apart that way. Yes miscommunication is the cliche obstacle for couples but seriously this irritated me so much I docked a star from my review. Other than that part, I liked the book and the flawed characters

Characters to love

I was sad that this was the last one! I do think this was my favorite in the series, but maybe I think that after every book I read. There probably should be a disclaimer though about Obama's speech about drug addiction and prescription medications ad the opiate crisis had sadly proven

Great Ending to the Series

The author delivers very original and unusual stories. They are anything but the norm, that are thought provoking and interesting. This book was no exception. The stories follow through with well defined characters. I am thankful that I took a chance and did not regret it.
