A vampire, a shifter, an incubus, and an asshole elemental walk into a bar. Sounds like the beginning of a joke, right? Unfortunately for me, it's not. These guys are looking for a missing magical amulet and think I can help them find it.

As a librarian by day and magical version of Indiana Jones by night, it's not unheard of for me to take private contract jobs. The thing is I like to work alone, it's easier to protect my secrets that way.

They're insisting I need to be part of their team for this job and make me an offer I can't refuse. It also doesn't hurt that they're each dangerously sexy.

But when everything in my life starts to go sideways, I have serious second thoughts about this whole thing. Can I survive secrets, betrayal, and uncovered prophecies that change everything I thought I ever knew? Will this team still have my back when life as I knew it shatters around me and the truth is finally revealed?

I'm about to find out.

This book is desperate need of editing and contained writing techniques that were so flat and summary driven that I frequently felt as if I was reading the book report rather than the actual book. Many plot elements didn't make much sense.

I won't be continuing the series.

Oh. My. Days. HAWT. (18+)
I really needed this book after a heavy, frustrating fantasy that left me wanting to tear up the book (gasp!).
Lenna - a half fae/half wolf shifter - who is a curvy librarian by day and a kick ass Lara Croft type character by night, is hired by four incredibly sexy guys for a job Vance, the confident, gorgeous incubus, Aleksander, the strong, intense vampire, Ross the tender, beautiful fox shifter and Hayes, the dark, sullen elemental with a permanent scowl on his handsome face.
Lenna takes the job - I mean who wouldn't want to work amidst such a festival of delights - only to discover that they are all her mates. Lucky cow.
A gripping tale that will have you alternating between flipping pages and fanning yourself, this book does NOT hold back. It gives you everything you want - and everything you didn't even know you wanted - on one big sexy plate and I, for one, am HERE for it.
*waits patiently for book two*

Let it all out

Lenna is more than she seems. A librarian by day, and a magical artifact locator by night. But, even beyond that, she's more. She just doesn't know it yet. When she gets a job offer, one that coincides with her own research, she gets suspicious. Meeting the 4 men who ask her to look for the artifact cause even more confusion. Each is a different type of supernatural, races that don't usually mingle. So why are they together? And why do they each say she's their mate?

Spoilers ahead.
This was a decent start. I have some questions about things that didn't flow but the bones are all there.
*Why is her 1st move to always tell and run? Every single time.
*She goes hot to cold and back and forth. Frequently. One second she's so upset she wants nothing to do with them but the next she's crawling them?
*She makes a point to say how liberated her outlook is and then 1) shames Vance for his many partners-something he needs to survive 2) pointedly mentions her lack of partners 3) calls herself a whore for being with multiple men 4) refuses to admit she's falling for all 4.
*Bothered me she didn't ask at all about the missing child msg that came in at the same time as the amulet one. She is supposed to love kids, spends time with them at the library. Yet never checks back to see if the little one was found, if someone else was helping them, nada.
*Is so paranoid about people finding out about her heritage but blabs it to her human roommate?
*The guys, who she claims to trust, express concern over unusual smells and the roommate's behavior change and she blows it off. Even though she has expressed the same concerns? Also, she never tries to root out the problem herself. She sees it, is worried, but doesn't investigate. Yet says he's like a brother?
*After certain things are revealed, and "the sudden and inevitable betrayal" occurs, not once does she express concern over (no name{s} because I'm not that big a jerk to spoil things to that degree) coming back to harm the guys. Yeah, she's some big magical to do, but shouldn't she be worried about protecting them? And now that her unbinding has supposedly sent shock waves through the magical world, magic she's not supposed to have as a wolf shifter, she also never thinks to worry about her parents.
*Why was her parents' relationship forbidden anyways? And if interspecies relationships are out, then wouldn't hers be? Well, with everyone but Ross.
*They fought against humans wanting them to register, like offenders or internment detainees set "free" (conditional, like updating addresses, registration, ...) but enforce purity laws on their own kind? Seems odd. Especially without any explanation.
*There's a prophecy bandied about but they only paraphrase it to her to convince her they're her mates. It's supposed to pertain to the amulet, too, but we never get to read it in its entirety.
*I'm not sure how a full figured person can have gaunt cheeks in a day. Haggard appearance, sure. But gaunt in 24hrs?
*While I loved the relationship she had with her aunts, she never seemed to contact her parents. Was this for safety reasons? Not explained.

I have a lot more but I'll need a reread to jog my memory. I'm intrigued, and I like the varied supernatural beings. I have some questions about the Fae courts, too. Are there 2 main ones with many smaller? Because more than 2 courts were named and most mythology references a dark and a light court (usually referred to as Summer/Winter Seelie/Unseelie, Light/Dark...) This story seemed to either have more courts or has factions among those courts. Oh, and the priestess angle, too, that was new. See? More questions lol.

The story flowed. The dialogue didn't stutter, repeat ad nauseum, or flatline. A definite win for a new indie author. There were some extra words (a, of, or, and, the) in some sentences, and some dropped (same) in others. There were very few misspellings, too. A little tweaking here and there to cover some plot discrepancies, background holes, and character development and this could become something really amazing. This will be an author I watch for new releases.

Yes, please!!!

Ok, first things first. There is some tragic format issues here that someone should have caught before the book released. Please don't let this deter you from reading this book because it is really, really good. The characters are well developed, the storyline stays on point and the sex is super hot. I don't like reverse harem type books a whole lot but I would read this one over and over. Oh and I am SO Team Hayes!!! Aleksandr too. Seriously, ignore the awful formatting, you're going to love this book.

Good read

It’s a good read. Has some surprises although a little predictable. The characters stay fairly true. The main character is set up as both a strong heroine but also with some softness to her. The author does a decent job of that. There were some gaps in the storyline where it seemed the story was rushed a bit to get to the next plot point but for the first in a series it is understandable with the need to setup the next installments and I assume it will be fleshed out in future books.

Decent enough book, likeable (and unlikable) characters. FMC Lenna is interesting. Only problem was some of the editing, which some could be explained away, but the random use of commas annoyed me and made me have to pause in reading to make sure I wasn't reading it wrong. Overall a good read, would be much better if edited a bit better. Would recommend this book to others. I look forward to reading the next book.

Desperately needs an editor

This book could've been fantastic if it weren't for all the issues; an error on the 1st page for example. Another thing which is a pet peeve of mine, dont start four or five sentences in a row with the same word- I did this, I did that, I then did this....we went down the stairs, we exited the building, we turned left....it doesnt flow well and constantly reminds the reader that they are, well, reading.

Couldn’t put the book down

From the description I was skeptical to say the least. I will say that it truly was a really great world with relatable characters that you want infuse into and live their life. It was so captivated that I felt like I was in the world living beside the other characters. I truly beg, hope, wish and pray that this series continues and that much more is to come.

Excellent storyline!

I really enjoyed this book. It does have some grammatical and sentencing errors or formatting. But I’ve seen way worse in other books. Hopefully this will get corrected in an update. Otherwise it was a great story, flowed really well. I quite enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to reading the next book.

Amazing!!!

This was a really good book. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. It just got more interesting and the end, it isn't like most cliffhangers and loved the ending, most cliffhangers leave me in a funk. This one was just perfect.
