Meet Felix, the smallest fox you've ever seen. Felix is polite, kind, and very cute. But he has one unfulfilled wish: to grow up. The other animals refuse to play with Felix because he is very small. But what happens when Felix decides to find a wizard who will help him to fulfill his wish?

Felix and the magic carrot is a warm story of friendship and making the right decisions. With Felix, children will learn not to be selfish and to help others. Felix will show you the beauty of nature in a fun way. With this small fox, children will want to spend their day in nature swinging on branches and skipping rocks.

This story has wonderful rhymes that children will repeat over and over again. The book is full of colorful illustrations and is as enjoyable to look at as it is to read. The main hero, Felix, will convey a powerful message to the children; friendship is the most valuable thing.

This book is easy to read and suitable for all ages. You can take it with you wherever you imagine it: on the plane, in the waiting room, on the road…

Reading Felix and the magic carrot is the best way to wish your child a good night and the easiest way for your child to fall asleep peacefully and with a smile.

Cute

I love the happy bright colorful artwork. And the story was really good. This is an excellent story to share with little kids. Plus, foxes. Cute fluffy foxes always win.

Felix and the Magic Carrot is a lovely book about a fox called Felix who can't find a friend because he's not tall enough so he asks a rabbit for a wish and he gives him two options, eat the carrot or help someone and Felix is surprised by the outcome.

This is a great story to show that helping others can help you feel better and its nice to see a new friendship grow from Felix being himself rather than changing himself to be liked by others. It's sad that the creatures Felix meet want him to change but the story gives something to think about whether you should ever change yourself for others and that's good for children to think about.

The illustrations are beautiful and it's nice to see how well the emotions come across in the book and how Felix changes through the story from being sad to happy with his new friend. The forest setting is lovely and a bit of magic gives an interesting twist to the story for Felix.

This is a great story of friendship, staying true to yourself and putting others before yourself that has a lovely ending.

Felix (small fox) is polite, kind, & cute.
Being so small though the other animals didn’t play with him. Mole said no.
A wise old owl had once told him about a wizard.
So, Felix set out to find the wizard.
Mrs. Owl gave Felix a carrot.

What happened then?

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.

A very awesome book cover, great colored pictures & proper font & writing style. A very well written children’s Fox adventure story book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s Fox adventure movie, an animated cartoon, a classroom PP presentation, or better yet a mini TV series. A very easy rating of 5 stars.

Felix was the tiniest Fox there had ever been. No one wanted to play with him. Felix had one wish he wanted a friend. He remembered an old story about a wise owl. He decided to go find him. He went out on a long journey. Did he find the owl? Did the owl help him to grow tall? You get to do what made the owl wise. A lot of listening/reading. Start now and by the time you get to be the owl's age, you will also be "wise".
This is a wonderful story for the kiddos. Children will want to repeat this book might after night. The pictures are perfect for the story and enjoyable to look at. I highly recommend this book, because I love books and it has a "Wise Owl".

Felix is a tiny fox who despairs because no one wants to play with him. He goes on a journey to search for a wise owl to give him advice.

When Felix reaches the owl, she tells him that he has two ways to achieve his wish. He must eat a magic carrot or do a good deed. Felix begins eating, but he meets a rabbit in need. Now he faces a difficult decision.

This book is written in rhyme. Sometimes the rhymes don’t quite hit the mark. Also, the connections in the story line are difficult to understand. Still, the message is a good one for preschoolers and kindergarten children to learn.

Really great book and illustrations

Ok first of all. I'm an adult but I find kids books super nostalgic. I like this but I feel like not being rewarded with height and instead he just gained the rabbit as a friend would have been a better moral. Since kids who have some insecurities would feel more empowered having a role model who gains confident with good deeds over time. The circle of getting a reward for doing a good deed isn't a very healthy one. Having gained the rabbit's friend would have been an ample reward for the fox.

Cheers. Hope this helps

Felix and Magic carrot by Emily Hamilton
Colorful children's book about Felix and he's the smallest fox ever. Other animals are scared of him because he is so small.
All the animals he asks to play with tell him he needs to wait til he's bigger.
One suggests the wizard who might have the answer.
The great owl tells him to eat the magic carrot or do a good deed to get his wish granted...
He helps a bunny who's lost his lunch so he gives magic carrot to the rabbit.
Like ending here...
