Narrator is terrible. She is ok when voicing the female characters however it's the male characters that are horrible and inconsistent. The therapist, who is male, she didn't even try to change her voice so he sounds like a female and she also gave me a really bad lisp. I don't think that was a characteristic of that character. Then throughout the book, she kept breaking voice tone for the characters. It was annoying. The story has a PTSD, with military events trigger. For this to be an MC romance, not once did the entire club ride their bikes. They rode ATVs and the main character mentions at the start of the book that he doesn't even know how to ride a bike. For an MC romance, I've definitely read better.

Hazel was raised in the foster care system. Trouble seems to follow her.
Someone is vandalizing the town of Oprey. While the Reckless B*stards MC search for the vandals, Hazel's life is in jeopardy. Will the brothers be able to save her before it's too late?
Two lost and damaged souls finding their hea.

Audio Review
This is a book about a biker gang that are more than they appear and a girl from the foster system looking for her place. It is a hot book. Hazel and Saint are a southern heat couple.
June Aaron was the narrator for this book. This was my first time listening to her. She did a pretty good job but I would have enjoyed it more with a male narrating Saint's character but it was pretty good.
I received a copy to listen and give my honest opinion. It you are looking for a hot read/listen then this would be it. Lots to warm you up.

Saint and Hazel
Saint was fighting his demons from being in the military, his demons were known as PTSD , nightmares, plagued him ! Friends died in front him, coming to the ranch and joint the MC he hoped would help him . The story takes a turn when a woman named Hazel comes to the new sex club for a job, Hazel has her own problems which consists of not trusting anyone! They get together and fall in love . Great story, steamy, and sexy. Recommend this with a 5 stars review

Saint and Hazel had me all caught up in their story. Saint has demons that he brought home from the war. He keeps busy to keep his mind off his issues. Hazel comes to Texas for a do over. She has trust issues she is drawn to Saint and their journey begins. This story had me in their corner to get a chance for happiness!

Very disappointing!!!
I usually enjoy reading kb winters books, and looked forward to this series. Book 1 on audio was the worst! Story great! The narrator was awful! Absolutely nauseating! But, because of eye surgery I had to buy Audible. I gave book 2 the benefit of the doubt, big mistake! This time not only was the storyline lacking but once again the narrator was terrible!

This is an absolutely awesome book. You are going to fall in love with Saint and Hazel. These two are fighting demons of their own. Can they be in each others light in all this darkness? Amazing book, chemistry, steam and awesome characters.

Another great story
I really liked this story, but there were some unanswered questions that hopefully will be addressed in the next book.

"We're both fucked up but in different ways. I know that and I don't give a shit. I love you, Hazel, and I want us to be fucked up together."Hazel desperately needs the job she just interviewed for at Gunnar's club. She's not interested in anything but making ends meet and perhaps letting off some steam at the club when she's off the clock. But Saint happens. The man who's her new boss. The tortured man with shadows in his eyes. Shadows that echo the ones he sees in her eyes. Will his demons haunt him so much he can't open up his mouth and tell Hazel how he really feels about her? Even when trouble comes to their corner of the world, and his protective instincts kick in, he's still having trouble opening up. And then it just may be too late for him to tell her when trouble finds Hazel and he races to her door only to find her on the floor looking like his old teammates did when he was deployed on their last mission.
I think I've found my new favorite KB Winters heroine because Hazel is awesome! She's so strong and tough, but is really hurting inside. She and Saint are so tortured that they really are perfect for each other. I'm just grateful Saint finally got his head cleared enough to let her in a little, because she needed, deserved, a man who would tell her how much he loved her. Wicked is the kind of MC romance I love best - action packed but emotionally satisfying with a couple whose chemistry sparks from their very first meeting. I can't wait for more Reckless MC Opey Texas Chapter!

One of The Best MC Series Out Right Now.
KB Winters came out of the gate with a banging book one, Tempted, the story of the Reckless MC Opey, Texas Chapter’s Founder, Gunner and his Lady and former FBI Agent, Peaches. So the stakes were high on how well Book two would be. Well I worried for nothing. Book two exceeded my expectations. Whereas book one built the foundation and parameters in which the series will take place, Book two’s storyline and characters beginning with Saint, Manager of Gunner’s Adult Club called The Barn Door located on the farm and Hazel, one its new Bartenders who met and began playing within the parameters. They play in the club, in her apartment, in the bunk house, in the car, up against the car, pretty much everywhere. Their normal was not normal. Saint suffered from PTSD and not a mild case. Luckily he finally agreed to start seeing Mitch the Therapist in earnest when he froze at a crucial time. Hazel doesn’t have much faith in people. She came up thru the foster care system and has been treated shabbily.
Can these two carve out a life together? I sure am rooting for them to do so.
I’m definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. There are unresolved issues that have surfaced. Who was this guy that sent those creeps into the town. By sending that one guy free, what type of risk has Gunner introduced into the community including his ranch? I’m very much looking forward to book three. Peace.

Healing their trauma together
Wicked is the first book I have read by KB Winters and it will definitely not be the last. I love a MC series and when it is a dirty one I am in. The story of Saint and Hazel is filled with all sorts of dirty and sexy as they two come together. Saint is ex military and suffers from PTSD from his time serving. He is a member of the Reckless MC and runs the Opey Texas Sex Club. His life is pretty structured and that is the way he likes it which includes no long term relationships or heck not even any short term.
Hazel is a new bartender at the club and she also suffers from trauma in her past. It was never revealed exactly what the cause was but it seems to have been from her growing up in foster care.
When Saint and Hazel meet there are definitely sparks flying between them and are also drawn to each other. Maybe it is the "two lost souls trying to heal each other" or maybe it is something else that they recognize in each other. They have more than a few fun and kinky times together and as their relationship progresses so does their healing. But not everything is smooth for these two and they will have to deal with other things along the way.

Emotionally damaged. Can they heal each other. Ex military Saint has joined the Hardtail Ranch with a lot of other ex military employees. The Hardtail Ranch owns a cattle ranch and a sex club called the Barn Door, along with all of them being in a motorcycle club called the Reckless Bastards. Saint is the manager of the Barn Door and when Hazel (a woman raised in numerous foster homes, and surviving day to day on meager funds) is hired he can’t stop thinking about her. He already has PTSD and nightmares about losing his squad in Afghanistan, and now his nightmares include Hazel being hurt. Hazel can’t give into her feelings about Saint because she is his boss and she can’t lose her new high paying job. But a group is targeting businesses in the their small Texas town, and people are getting hurt. Can the Reckless Bastards stop the crime wave? And how will Saint handle the potential violence with his PTSD?

This one was a great book until the end. Sorry KB but you lost me on this one too many questions still to be answered. I don't know if she was trying to keep this book at a certain word count and ran out of time that the whole story was supposed to be wrapped up in a few pages but nothing was finished.

I don't see any one who would be so determined to leave and in just a few simple words changed her mind. He should have had to beg at least a little bit. Unless he was locked up there was no reason what so ever he couldn't have sent word to her saying I'm trying to get my head together and then I'll come see you. Anything but no.. not one single word for near a week. We still don't know what happened when she was with a boss before. We get a few hints but that's it. What about her having worked in a biker bar before..it was mentioned. Just hoping they show back up again and we get more of her story.

This is not a gentle and sweet romance. No, it is hot and raw. The attraction between Hazel and Saint is beyond all their expectations. They both have pasts they rather forget and in each others arms they actually can do that but, they think it is only temporary. Hazel and Saint are strong characters that have a similarly solid sense of right and wrong. They are interesting together and that keeps you intrigued with their story which, takes a serious turn into the unknown when the town's rash of destruction comes right to their door. I really like this down and dirty kind of romance where the intensity between the two lovers knows no bounds.

Hazel has had lots of ups and downs and really needs to get her life back on track. They try to resist the pull between them, but nothing can stop it or the danger that’s surrounding the small town they call home.... If you love all things biker and romance and hit and steamy, this series will NOT disappoint. KB digs deep into the characters and builds this alternate universe where you feel like you know these people. Awesome series! Amazing reads!! Enjoy!!!

Saint is all kinds of messed up after his time in the sandbox losing his friends. Hazel has lived a hard life in foster care and is just as messed up as Saint. When she’s hired as the bartender for The Barn Door at Hardtail Ranch the instant attraction can’t be ignored for long which leads to lots of heat and fun at the Barn Door and the bunk house. But in true KB Fashion, the suspense and danger are there to keep you reading to see what happens. This has the hea, but leaves the danger still present for the next book in the series. Ugh now the wait for its release!

An enjoyable heartwrenching kinky romance that is second in the series. This engaging storyline includes some danger, haunted pasts familiar characters from the first series, twists and turns, hot sexy scenes, and love that sneaks up on you. This fantastic couple has a HEA with being a aur of mystery setup for the next in the series that is surrounding the club that is setup on a ranch. I truly enjoyed the journey of Saint and Hazel as they muddle through and find that the way to healing from their broken pasts is together. The characters were well developed, interesting, and have sexy, sizzling hot chemistry.
