Calm down. I’m not a creep. I used to watch my hot neighbor through my bedroom window, but I knew he had feelings for me too.
Jason Cox.
The hottest race car driver to ever exist. Jason likes to win. Every. Single. Time.
So when he heard of my engagement? It made him skip town faster than he takes those death-defying left turns. That engagement never turned into marriage. I broke it off. Only to have him not living next door to me anymore. I’ve called a million times. Cried a thousand tears. Has he heard that I’m still single? Logic tells me that he has. So, the real question is… Is he ever going to return?
This standalone is Kiera and Jason's story! Get ready for a fun-filled romance with a happily ever after and no cheating!
Jeepers Creepers! Once again cleaning out Kindle Unlimited temptations. And here's what I found. A girl who watches her neighbor ALL THE TIME from her bedroom window that faces his and a guy who knows it and "performs" for her. And then phone sex, video sex and well . . . you get the idea. No background on these two -- except I forgot to mention that she's supposed to be engaged to another guy but really isn't and doesn't bother telling the naked Nascar race driver who is head over heels in love with her. And it goes on and on and becomes more bizarro as it goes.
Meh! I just couldn't get down with the program between these two. And she's a trust fund baby whose father has suddenly cut her off -- from both her money and her mother who is in hospice dying of cancer. That doesn't stop her from flying across country to visit the Racer. The drama continues minute by minute and if I were her friends, I'd tell her to take a hike pronto.
My review is just about as silly as the writing is in this book which is not only silly and juvenile, but one of those unrealistic -- even to the most open imaginations -- and the editing needs some work as well.
Sorry to be such a Debbie Downer -- but my friends, this one is a fizzler from the get-go and never ever changes. Why did I finish? I can't come up with a good answer. I'm just stubborn and no quitter.
Oh, hell no. Only a couple chapters in and I knew I hated the heroine and there was no fixing it. She's nasty in the skeevy way and STUPID to boot. I'm kind of grossed out that the writer thought her behaviour would be okay. Really? In whose reality, precisely?
If a guy did what the h did people would be screaming about stalkers, pervs and orders of protection, but if a girl does it, it's supposed to be, what? Sexy? Charming? Funny?
Think again. 👎👎
Who actually does this shite? Blatantly ogling your neighbour night after night whilst eating popcorn? It's so not on. I felt dirty after reading that. And I don't give a flying fuck if the guy's window is open! Look away! Mind your own bloody business! Here's a thought - be. better. than. that.
Ya know, perhaps it's not the best idea to portray your heroine as a sex starved-slag with no respect for boundaries right out the gate. Just sayin.
This brand of sleaze wasn't remotely amusing when I was a bit younger and it's even less so now. It's got nothing to do with age. It's got everything to do with class...of which the writer must believe only pertains to school because it's clear the alternate meaning of the word eludes her.
Kiera and Jason are neighbors and like to flirt but when he finds out she is engaged he leaves. She gets upset and moves as well. Will they find their way back to each other? Fast-paced read with loads of drama, steam and emotion. Great characters and an entertaining story. I liked it.
This was my first book by this author. This series kept popping up in FB ads and other authors' newsletters and I decided to give it a try. I binge read the first three books of the series (available at the time of review) after reading the first one to see if book one was a one off or if the author's writing was consistently like book one. Though the stories are set in NYC, there are timing issues and phrases used that make me believe that the author may not have ever been to NYC. Other phrases used throughout the series, and the writing style in general, also lead me to believe the author is not from the US, though I had trouble finding actual author information to confirm that. This is not necessarily a bad thing, though it did pull me from the story a little bit. More noteworthy is the inconsistency between the books in the series. For instance, the engagement ring Vincent gives Emily in book one has an entirely different stone in the beginning of book two. Kiera's father is referred to with two different names in book one, which was distracting and could have been caught in editing. The hot scenes are hot, but are not as engaging as they could be. In addition, they feel very added in and don't all have much purpose to the story. As the series progressed, I also found them somewhat repetitive from book to book. None of the three books use protection, which some readers will find very offensive. All three books could benefit from greater character development and better plot detail and development. This is especially apparent during the end of each book. The resolutions to the conflicts seemed abrupt and unbelievable. This series was marketed as Rom-Com, but I honestly did not find them very funny at all. This too may have benefited from further development prior to publishing. These dual POV stories are quick reads with some heat. If you are looking for a hot book without a lot of substance they will suit your needs.
In book two, Kiera is really hard to like. Jason's character has potential but felt undeveloped. I wanted more about his relationship and background with his brother. Kiera's quick forgiveness of her father felt implausible. How they got to be friends is inconsistent and left me with more questions than answers. Were they family friends for a long time, or have they only known each other a few years? How do their families know each other? We know absolutely nothing more than this about Jason's family. There were so many things that could have been better.
Ma scherzi no?!?!
I received this ARC for an honest review and unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy the book like I thought I would. I was looking forward to seeing Jason and Kiera from Stealing My Best Friend. Felt disappointed that the author didn’t let us see how the relationship developed. No flashbacks to see how they met or them interacting in conversations. It just started with them apart and the reason why and then all of a sudden, they were together again. It seemed like these characters were different from the first book. They were immature and very whiny. For example: Spoilers: Jason being depressed about Kiera getting married that he drinks before he drives in a race. Being a professional race car driver, this would never be allowed. When Kiera found out her mother was in hospice at her family home. She goes there to confront her father and see her mother and then she’s in her room and jumps on bed like a teenager in excitement when Jason calls her. Also, it seemed like the author just added things in the book that didn’t even go with the story line and are unbelievable. For instance: Jason putting her airline ticket with his last name. The airline security checks the ticket with the driver’s license so she would have never been able to get on and then the gentleman on the airplane hitting on Kiera. What was that for? Just to make Jason jealous and see him even more immature. Things in this book just seemed so unrealistic. The hospital scene at the end, there is no way that this would have happened. He just woke up with a broken back and other injuries. I’m sorry but this book was not for me.

This is Kiera Williams and Jason Cox's story. Kiera was a sort of peeping-Tom who watched Jason from her bedroom window which faced his. What she didn’t see, she imagined. But since she figured he knew what he was doing, it wasn’t weird for her to watch as he exercised and lifted weights in plain view, clothes optional. He was a NASCAR driver, so even the gasoline and exhaust smell of him when they talked confirmed that she was in love.
Jason was in love with Kiera as well, although he hadn’t expressed this to her. So when his best friend Vincent told him that he was engaged to Kiera, Jason was furious. Not sure if he was mad at Vincent or at Kiera who hadn’t told him! Fearing he would be invited to their wedding if he stuck around, he put his house up for sale and moved away with no notice to Daytona for a race his manager set up. He asked Cody to email him some of the houses for sale there near the beach. He still couldn’t understand why she would marry Vincent.
When Emily and Vincent married (yes, her ex-fiance), Kiera was still miserable about Jason moving. She was tired of staring at his empty house, Vincent said Emily had a loft to rent in Brooklyn now that she was married. So Kiera had a place to go to stop torturing herself about Jason. But with both of them elsewhere now, is there any chance of ever reconnecting? Or has that moment passed forever?
Next door neighbor finds her happiness! This story is about Jason and Kiera. They are both neighbors for years but never date, just best friends until Jason finds out that she is engaged to marry his close friend. He ends up leaving for Miami without a goodbye or his phone. He is a NASCAR driver, so he thinks that it is for the best as he doesn’t want to see the woman, he loves to marry another man. Although he never gave her a chance to explain, she goes on to move from the home that they once shared across from each other. She is miserable in NY and so is he in Miami. Once he takes his misery into a dangerous state, is when his brother thinks that he needs to know about Kiera but decides to hold off on it. Once he realizes that Kiera never married, he seeks her out. During this time Kiera is not only miserable about her love life, but the fact that her mother is ill, and her father is not being there for her. This story’s ending was missing a lot, time for one, because it doesn’t provide information on her mother or father, on his healing or anything of that. I would have expected Summer to provide a better ending but overall, it was good.

Oh no!! I immediately bought this book because I was so curious about Jason and Kiera when I read Stealing My Best Friend (a book I absolutely loved). I’m not gonna lie… after chapter 3 I had to start skimming because it was just Kiera and Jason pining after each other via inner monologue. No conversation between them had taken place… until, finally, chapter 10… via FaceTime!! They aren’t physically in the same room until chapter 15. I always wondered in the first book what kind of relationship they really had (if they were just flirting friends…. or if they actually had a sexual one)…. We finally find out in this chapter. Which means I wish they used chapters 1-14 to give us more of a back story. This is where this book began for me…. And I was getting anxious about the Romance aspect because we had 5 more chapters to go and an epilogue.
Okay, with that said… I’m not going to give up on Summer Brooks because Stealing My Best Friend was soooooo good!! And I am curious about Fallon and Simon (Jason’s brother). So I may buy that book after my review. I don’t know yet.
My star rating: 2 stars Had a hard time getting into this book. Just not my cup of tea.
A enjoyable story about Jason Cox a NASCAR driver who lives next door to Kiera who was going to marry Vincent from "Stealing my Best Friend" book. This starts with Kiera who watches Jason through her windows and admires the view, then goes to two months later. Jason finds out that Kiera who he loves is getting married to his best friend Vincent so when his agent Cole called about racing in Daytona, he put his house for sale and moves to Daytona Beach so he wouldn't see Kiera's marriage day. Kiera missing Jason decides to go to Brooklyn to stay at Emily's apartment and reminisces about Jason. Meanwhile Jason races and wins but he also goes downhill and picks up drinking to forget Kiera. When his brother Simon finally tells him that Kiera didn't get married and that she's been trying to reach him, is this his chance to make Kiera his? I do recommend to read the first book to learn more about the background of Kiera and Jason since this book mingles with the first. There is a little background in the beginning and some how Kiera met Emily and Fallon. This was a enjoyable story to read and review via booksprout. ARC
Much Angst Wrought At The Hands Of Protective Family Members
Family certainly is delightful to have around when they being loving and supportive but sometimes a family member over-steps their bounds in doing what they think is right for a person without consulting that person first. Such is the case for a large portion of the angst that both the main male and female characters had to go through. They were able to survive their hard times but it took time to get their relationship back on track again. The main female character had additional family issues to deal with and try to work around. These two certainly had a circuitous route to their happily ever after but they did finally wend their way there.
It always amazes me when I read or hear about how some families operate and the sometimes oppressive environment parents keep their children in. Elements of this were what put the kibosh on the initial relationship between the main male and female characters.

Keira and Jason are neighbors that have a little flirting going on with their friendship. Then her father was forcing her into a marriage she didn't want but before she could tell Jason about it his friend did. This had Jason leaving before she could talk to him letting him know that she wasn't going to go through with the marriage. Now his house is up for sale and she has no clue where he is or what his new phone number is. Her friends tell her that she needs to either move on or find him to get closure. When her mother's health takes a turn for the worse she turns to his brother for his information one more time. When Jason finds out that Keira has been reaching out to him but his brother hasn't told him Jason isn't happy. Will they be able to find their way back to each other? Or will their families come between them again?
This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable. Great romance story with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
I enjoyed this book about kiera and Jason who Used to watch each other from there bedroom windows. They became friends but they didn’t tell each other how they felt about each other. Jason lefted because he found out that Kiera was getting married to one of his friends and she didn’t tell him but she didn’t get the chance to tell him that she broke of the wedding. She tried to call him but he left his phone in the house. Jason moves to Daytona Florida to do NASCAR racing since his was the Champion getting drunk and to get his mind of Kiera. While Kiera stayed in New York. The story lines are great and so is the chemistry between the main characters you get to see there ups and downs and the truth come out there are sad parts in book about kiera mother and father. But also like the other characters in the book who make you laugh and bring the book alive. It a great read with some really steamy scenes and a HEA.

Jason, a NASCAR driver and Kiera had been infatuated with each other for several years, each denying to themselves that true love it really was. They were best friends and lived next door to each other. Until miscommunication drew them apart. I loved the friend chemistry between the two, their denial, or rather their reluctance to admit their true feelings to each other till it was to late to do so. Jason was very alpha in his job, his personality and sexual appetites, but he was certainly one with a soft gooey side as well. Kiera was going through personal and family issues, this was well written and very emotional, certainly pulled on my heart a little. I really enjoyed the way Summer write about Jason's racing and the ride he took Kiera on. Really felt there in the moment. Ive enjoyed quite a few of Summer Brooks' books now and have to say this was a favorite.

This book was great! I couldn't put it down! Jason Cox and Keira Williams were wonderful characters. Jason and Keira were neighbors. Keira would check Jason out through the window and got to see him in all kinds of comprimising positions. She had a thing for her neighbor and she thought he had a thing for her too. They would talk to each other for hours through that window. They would have pizza and movie nights at home. Jason was a racecar driver and he liked taking things to the limit. So when his best friend, Vincent, told him out of the blue he was getting married to Keira, Jason was so disdrought he moved away and left his cell phone behind. How could Keira do that to him without telling him? But what Jason didn't know was that Keira broke off the engagement to Vincent because it was an arrangement by their parents. She was never in love with Vincent. Now if someone got the message to Jason he would move back, right? This book is a must read and I highly recommend!
Kiera and Jason lived next door to each other. She’s watch him through his window exercising. She liked him but never said anything. Jason was a NASCAR driver and was gone a lot but he liked Kiera and they talked and were friends. He liked her to but said nothing. Then her father wants her to marry someone he wants and it’s Jason’s best friend. His friend brags that he’s getting married to Kiera and Jason gets angry and moves to Daytona so he doesn’t have to see his best friend marry the girl he wants! Kiera says no to getting married and ends up moving to NY to forget about Jason. Jason finally gets told by his brother that she didn’t get married. Will they ever find each other and get together or will others keep interfering?

Kiera’s father tried to force her into a loveless marriage that neither wanted so when she called it off she lost her inheritance but she didn’t care since she had also lost the man she loved more than anything. Months later she made one finally call, hoping her message would get to him.
Jason hadn’t planned on staying in NYC long term until he met his new neighbor so when he found out she was engaged to his best friend he packed his bags and left, never looking back. While out to eat one night he finds out the truth and is determined to make things right but is he too late??
We first met these two in Stealing My Best Friend: Lovers’ Lane #1 and this is there story. Just an FYI you will need a few tissues and you will be sore at the end of this book from all the laughing and smiling you’ll be doing!! 🖤🖤
It felt like I blinked, and the book was already over. This book sucked me in and I lost track of everything outside of its pages. After reading Vincent and Emily’s story, I knew I NEEDED to know what was going to happen to Kiera and Jason. This story was a serious emotional roller-coaster. And while I didn’t cry over the mess this pair kept making of their relationship, Kiera’s family dramas brought me to tears multiple times. I agree with Vincent that this pair is far too stubborn for their own good. I wanted to smack some sense into their mulish heads, but when they finally got it right, it was so worth the wait. Now what exactly is going on between the best friend and the brother? I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
Fab book full of misunderstandings, drama, passion and sadness too, a great combination to keep you reading, that’s for sure! Jason leaves after finding out that Keira is due to marry his friend, he has been in love with her for years and just can’t handle it. Keira was being forced to marry but doesn’t go through with it as she has been in love with Jason for years! A total misunderstanding through lack of communication but eventually it all comes right. The passion is hot, the drama is enough to keep you griped, the book flows well and the e ding is just perfect. Nice quick read, would have liked to have had a conclusion on the mum but I guess really we all know what the outcome would be.
I think if you want to enjoy reading this book, you should read Vincent and Emily's book first. If not you would feel lost like me. Of course, the author wrote the proloque but it didn't help anything except knowing that Kiera has a feeling for Jason who is her neighbor. And after Jason misunderstanding, they just mope by themselves which make me a bit confusing because I didn't read Vincent and Emily's book so I don't know how they met each other and how their relationship was started. Anyway I like Kiera. She is more resonable than Jason. And Simon, Jason's brother doesn't help anything. I start enjoy reading the book after their reunion though so I decide to give the book 4 stars.

Jason and Kiera are next door neighbours and in lust with each other. When Jason finds out that Kiera is going to marry Vince, he leaves ASAP and doesn't take his cell phone or leave a forwarding address. Kiera is heartbroken as she has no plans to marry anyone else but him but they have never told each other how they feel. Jason eventually finds out that Kiera didn't get married and they get in contact again but have some trouble with deciding how they are going to manage their relationship with distance as Kiera's mother is dying in New York and he has moved to Dayton where he is a Nascar driver. Couldn't put this book down and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Second book in the Series I have read..... And I'm so glad I did! This author has definitely become one of, if not my favourite ❤️ Another very well written, entertaining book by this author... AND this too has been properly proof read (unlike soooo many of the books that I've read recently from other authors)! Making it such a smooth and easy read. Maybe I'm going la la (which is entirely possible!), but I could have sworn Vincent gave Emily an emerald ring..... But this book says it was a ruby?? That's just me either being stupid (if I'm incorrect) or a tad picky. Anyway, regardless, another thoroughly enjoyable HEA read! One which, yet again, I couldn't put down and read in one sitting. Definitely looking forward to the next one!
The author has again given us characters we can care about. Kiera loves Jason and Jason loves Kiera. Living next door to each other gives them a chance to connect. However, when he finds out that she is engaged to someone else, he leaves town without telling her and falls into a deep depression. She is so devastated that he left without any word, that she moves so she does not have to look at his vacant house on a daily basis. None of their so-called friends are willing to share the truth about what is going on with the other one.

Finding The Strength To Accept Their Fates: By Korkoi - Jason and Kiera were very good friends, who had feelings for each other, but decided kept it to themselves with consequences to the friendship. Miscommunication, insecurities and family interference, led them to an unexpected break in their friendship. Reading through this story, took me through a myriad of emotions and kept me on the edge of my seat, waiting to see if they will get their act together and finally be together. This is an interesting and enjoyable book, that was well written and I would highly recommend you read it.

I’m enjoying this series however, to get the full enjoyment out of the series they should be read in order. While I loved Jason and Kiera’s story it took me a little longer to get through because it wasn’t as exciting as the previous title “Stealing My Best Friend” It has some tender moments between Kiera and her mom and of course there were quite a few delicious scenes when Kiera and Jason finally “connected”. A good book with all the necessary elements. I’m not saying I didn’t enjoy because I’m sure at some point I’ll read it again. In my opinion, “Stealing My Best Friend” is a tough act to follow.

I loved this book! I am so happy that Jason and Kiera got their HEA! These two story was heart breaking but oh so worth it in the end. I was so enthralled in wanting to know what would happen next, I read this book in one sitting. I highly recommend this book but make sure you read Stealing My Best Friend first so you can understand a little bit more but it can be read as a standalone. I can't wait for Simon and Fallon's story!

I am liking this series. You meet Jason and Keira in the first book. When Jason finds out Keira is getting married, he takes off with no notice or goodbye. These two are both utterly heartbroken without each other. When they finally reconnect, what will happen? Will Jason move back to NYC or will Keira move to Florida? They have undeniably hot chemistry. I really wanted to smack his, Simon, Jason’s brother upside the head as well as Jason and Keira. What Simon did would have made anyone so furious. Jason and Keira are meant for each other and I can’t wait for Simon’s story.
Jason and Keira finally get their happily ever after. It definitely isn’t a fairytale. After Jason runs from New York he spirals. Kiera isn’t doing any better. Both of them have made a few mistakes but love concurs all. And when they are finally brought back together. Not even the threat of death will stop them from finally getting their happy ending. This book was a sweet and fun read and I can’t wait for Simon and Fallon’s story next!
