SILVERHAWK has been re-edited and contains NEW CONTENT.
He’s everything a proper lady should never want; she’s everything a bastard mercenary can never have.
Sir Giles has come to England to kill his father, who seduced and betrayed his mother. First, however, he’ll seek sweet revenge—kidnap the old lord’s new betrothed. But when Giles uncovers a plot against King Richard, he faces a dilemma: take the lady or track the traitors. What’s a good mercenary to do? Both, of course.
Lady Emelin has had enough. Abandoned in a convent by her brother, she finally has a chance for home and family. Yet now she’s been abducted. Her kidnapper may be the image of her dream knight, but she won’t allow him to spoil this betrothal. Her only solution: escape
Rescuing the intrepid lady—while hunting traitors—is a challenge Giles couldn’t anticipate. But the greatest challenge to Giles and Emelin is the fire blazing between them.
I LOVED this book! A compelling love story amidst political turmoil in a well developed, complex plot. Imaginative, captivating story of a mercenary knight and the Lady who captured his rogue heart. Fabulous!
Read this in one day! Such a good book. Silverhawk is QUITE the man, and I couldn't get enough of him. Emelin is so sweet, but she's definitely the "warrior" that Silverhawk calls her. This book is an adventure of romance, intrigue, and all of that good treasonous, traitorous happenings of the times. There is so much that the hero and heroine have to work against, and it was so suspenseful. Emelin's brother is, well, quite the problem, and I was very glad when he got his just deserts. But my most favorite part of this book, was watching this gruff mercenary fall in love. It's just so sweet!
Silverhawk is on a mission for the king and one of vengeance for himself. Emmelin is free from the convent to marry a man old enough to be her father while she is at the mercy of her conniving brother. When he is severely injured, she finds him and helps nurse him back to health. They are in the midst of treachery and evil. Both of their lives are at risk. What a marvelous start to the knights of destiny series. Steamy, scary, action packed all the way to happy-ever-after. Highly recommended.
