Wren’s world has caught fire. But she’ll be damned if she lets it burn.
After a devastating blow, Wren clings to normalcy while doubts rage in the back of her mind. Does she really have what it takes to be Queen of the Southern Vampire Clan? Her new potential mate doesn’t seem to think so.
Marlowe—SFBI agent and professional thinker—wants nothing to do with Wren or to be her next mate. Following down that path would lead to fiery destruction, and he’s already been there, done that. In fact, he’s seriously considering removing the tattoo that links him to her. He thinks Wren doesn’t have the grit or smarts needed to sever the crown.
Oh, he’s about to be schooled.
But in doing so, Wren’s alliances are tested, and more startling secrets are revealed. With a little help from Marlowe, though, Wren realizes that maybe you really can fight a royal fire with fire.
**This is a medium-burn reverse harem vampire romance.**
A vampire romance with nonstop action, plenty of spice, and a few laughs!

I gotta admit I'm getting a bit bored with this series now. Contradictorily it starting to feel like too much of the same (basically how amazing Wren is) and like the authors got bored with the confines of their own world and blew it open. In the previous books, we only had humans and vampires. Suddenly, here in this book, we have vampires, and witches, and celestials (aka angels and demons), lion, wolf and boar shifters, banshees, and portals through time. This felt like a huge departure from what previous books had lead readers to believe were the limits of the world.
Additionally, Wren now has three male mates, which I have no problem with. But I find it really unimaginative that there is no overlap. She gives one mate at time attention, there is no jealousy but there also isn't any crossover. Not in the sense of having more than one in bed at a time or with any of the males feeling affection for one another. Somehow it gives a sense of monogamy, even in the Polyandrous relationship. Which might work if they weren't all together all the time.
Also worth noting is that these books do not stand alone and this one ends on a particularly precipitous cliffhanger.
Despite saying all of that, I'm still moving on to book four. Honestly, I'll read the whole series just to see if Zac finally gets turned and to be a mate. (I'm pretty sure he will and even think I know how that will come about, but I want to see it.)
The third installment of the Sever the Crown series. This has got to be the best one yet. Wren is stuck jn the bunker with her two mates and Marlow, the third and most reluctant one to date. Marlow is head of the witness protection program for the SFBI and is reluctant to care about someone and give that up, all to lose them. We learn about past secrets, new secrets. Time travel, sex, and a cliffhanger. Still everyone needs to read this series.
Loving this series. Wren is finally getting her mates one by one and I am enjoying reading about each individual meeting. Sad to see the small horrors she goes through with each one but she is a fighter and brings out the best in everyone. I think this is an interesting twist on RH and am enjoying it immensely. Already looking forward to the next one.
I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have not read a bad book from this author yet and this book is no exception! The great plot and character development kept me so engaged throughout the entire book that I had a very hard time putting this book down until the very last page was turned!
As each book progressing the story line just keeps getting better and better. You learn a little bit more about Wren each book and what she's truly capable of doing and achieving. Can't wait to see her adventure continue in Relentless.
What a magnificent third book in this fabulous series. Wren Is Queen, but is she strong enough for this job. Her mate doesn’t seem to think so. Totally intriguing. Awaiting the next one.
We meet Marlow, and he is not exactly happy about his new path in life. We also learn more about Wrens parents and how they met. It's a difficult storyline this one. Wren has lost so much in her life without knowing what she had. It's hard seeing her go through more pain, hard seeing more loss. Then unknown, does she end up with 4 mates by the end of this book, or will she escape with 2....
Ends in a Cliffhanger Sad times a coming Dark recounts and discovery of past abuse Time travel, Celestials, a hog.... Steamy smutty hot moments! 4.8 stars
Woweee! What a tangled web! Wren is just trying to stay alive to take down her wicked, vicious Queen aunt. She has picked up her third mate on this journey. There are some crazy people in this story. A celestial being, angel character is going to help on a rescue mission after he negotiates some blackmail promise. There is a sad time when her first mate is missing and her father in danger. She has a loyal gang backing her up, but it’s still not enough. There is a slower in the beginning but it builds up to a crescendo when she meets mate #4. I like that all the characters have such diverse personalities and it is making this series so interesting. Not my usual genre but has grabbed my attention. There are less vampirish in the episode so you sort of forget what they are. I am partial to her Florida Gators shirt as I live in Gainesville, FL home of the University of Florida Gators!! Anyway, looking forward to Relentless and her new grumpy mate. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
Another wonderfully written installment in the sever the crown series!! Through this story, Wren and two of her mates are in a bunker with her third, and most reluctant, mate Marlowe. While Marlowe is discovering his true feelings and whether or not to accept his fate, drama ensues! Ashe is in a delicate frame of mind and is snatched from Wren's life, the person responsible for Wrens current kidnapping graces the pages, more memories of Wren's surface and...that's. not. All! Time travel, evil furry and not so furry things and sex..don't forget the sex! Mysti and Lyndsey do NOT disappoint! They promised (ok..it was more of a warning) a cliffhanger, and a cliffhanger is what we got!
I literally read this in one night! I chuckled, I nearly cried (I'm a sap..get off my back lol), my heart was in my throat! Definitely a book to put on your MUST READ list! No...better yet..get it on your "Books I HAVE read" list!!
ONE WILD ROLLERCOASTER RIDE!!! Razzle dazzle! This dynamic duo hits pay dirt, jumping right over gold and onto platinum, drilling through mayhem and chaos fusing this bad boy together one jagged piece at a time. A spinning vortex chocked-full of astonishing events that keep you flipping page after page. Drama, danger, intrigue, mystery, and suspense builds as tension spirals blasting this bad boy to life flawlessly. Add uncertainty, turmoil and distress along with perplexing situations, launch this bad boy into a tailspin with staggering results. Jumping hoops, hurdling trials and tribulations that tests our characters in ways they never saw coming. The characters are authentic and realistic with on point personalities and depth that blew this baby wide open and exposed in all it's glory. The scenes are so colorfully described it gives the illusion you were right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Remarkable job guys, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
Action packed romantic paranormal suspense. Queen Wren, Charles, Marlowe and Zac are trying to find Ashe and the quadruplets who have not returned from picking up his sisters ashes, yet there is so much going on in the bunker for the better. Wren is beside herself because he is her first and his tattoo is getting more faint on her arm. But she is becoming acquainted with her 3rd mate. he also provides her with an interesting surprise and also heartbreak. they have to make a road trip to New Orleans where they meet a Celestial and Wren makes a deal to help them, Wren is thrown back in time and the guys have to go after her in order to save her in order to save Ashe. Then she is snatched up again. This is very interesting story line, the characters are pretty darn interesting to be Vampires. I was given a free Advanced Reader Copy from the author as a gift without obligation. I am providing an honest review.
Obsession, another great book in the Sever the Crown series! This one's focus is a little different, less Ravana and more learning about Marlowe while trying to save Ashe and the quadruplets. I felt that we got to learn more about Wren this way. It seemed to bring out her inner strength, not just her physical strength. Marlowe is a real treat. He struggles with the idea of Wren being queen, and with the thought of becoming Wren's third mate.
The storyline is fast-paced, filled with vampires, witches, ghosts and shape-shifters. The plot contains magic, danger, violence and intrigue. The characters are well-developed and easy to identify with. Overall, excellent book--can't wait to see what the next one brings!
I feel like this book is my favorite so far in the Sever the Crown series. We learn a lot about Wren's capacity for love in this book as well as more about Marlowe and his past. Marlowe is such an intense character at first. With him not believing that Wren will make a proper queen, he avidly ignores her until he slowly recognizes all of the qualities he thought she was missing. Ruling with love? Hey, it's definitely possible when Wren is the one in charge! There's some betrayal in this book as well but not between Wren and her guys! They are slowly becoming a solid unit, and I know it will get even better as the series continues!
Queen Wren meets another mate, Marlowe and learns that the bond can be dissolved as he is suspicious and obsessed... Meanwhile her first mate, Ashe gets himself kidnapped along with the Quadruplets by the witch... On the other hand she came to know that her father is alive and is in danger... To get Ashe back, she makes a deal with a Celestial being, an Angel... Will she be able to save her father?? Will she win over Marlowe?? Will she get Ashe back?? New additions of witches & celestials, time travelling, adventures, mysteries and of course romance and heart break... All these are stupendously created by the author... The book is definitely one worthy reading...
Obsession is the 3rd book in the Sever the Crown series and it’s a wild ride! Wren’s third mate Marlowe doesn’t believe in her and basically refuses to be her mate at the beginning. Wren faces much hardship because Ashe is missing and she and her gang struggle to stay out of her evil aunt’s clutches. Each book in the series just keeps getting better! I really like learning more about Wren and seeing her relationships with her mates grow!
I received an ARC from the authors and I’m voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Be prepared to hang onto the edges of your seat with Mysti Parker's "Obsession" which abounds with twists and turns; with the unexpected, turning what you thought you knew about Wren and her mates upon its head. It will keep you glued to the pages from start to finish and leave you wanting more. I loved getting to know more about Wren, Zac, Charles, and Ashe, adored mate number 3, Marlowe, and can't wait until the next book and mate number 4.
This series is awesome. Just like the book title, it has become an obsession with me! I want to keep reading this series, and if I could I would keep reading until I had finished. I want - need - to know how this ends. I have so many questions, but I can't write them here, because it would spoil some of the story for those who haven't read it yet. Why? Why haven't you read it yet. You need to!
I loved the third instalment of Wren and Co’s fight to sever the crown. To be fair, I don’t usually read reverse harem stories, but once I start reading these I’m definitely a little addicted! The third member of Wren’s harem is definitely, erm, hot!? If you want to know more, pick it up and read it. Can’t wait for the next. As with previous books in the series, not for a younger audience due to the adult language and very intimate scenes. Book four please!
Wren and her group suffered a devastating blow and here they are trying to cope. Zac gets news and Ashe heads out on a mission with the quads. Marlowe takes Wren to meet her father, Albert. Charles looks for trainees. SO much more happens, but I don't want to spoil it. Marlowe grew on me, his story is so touching, and I want to know more about him and Charles for sure. I can't wait to see what happens next for this bunch and their growing rebellion.
Wren has met her third mate but Marlowe isn't interested and he knows someone that connects them both. He can't be found and Wren goes to find him. They've all been attacked with Devil's Breath affecting all voluntarily function of their bodies but someone is controlling them. She's found her fourth mate and he's not wanting to be her mate. 4.8🌟
This series just keeps getting better with every book! Wrens 3rd mate is very reluctant to join her harem. The action continues in her search for her mates as well as her revenge for her mother’s death & getting what’s rightfully hers! You won’t regret reading this book, I can’t wait for the next installment!!!
Obsession: A Reverse Harem Vampire Romance (Sever the Crown Book 3) by Mysti Parker , Lindsey R. Loucks is an awesome read. This is book number three in this awesome series that I have loved reading. I highly recommend this story to everyone.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Wren is amazing and I cannot get enough of these books. The third in the series was a show stopper and I flew threw this book. The story heats up, the scenes heat up and you'll be one clicking book 4 as soon as you finish. Prefect combination of action, dialogue and heat. The plot was beautifully written and flowed with ease. Fantastic third book! Bring on book 4!
Girl………… you keep messing with my emotions. This book had me so enthralled I couldn’t stop reading. (2:11am) I really want Zac to be apart of her Harlem . I need to know more of his and everyone else’s background. Dose she have an older sibling????? Her daddy 🥺😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I'm still new to this genre, but the authors make this as painless as possible to enjoy. Great settings, great story, twists, turns, everything you'd expect. Can't wait to read 4 and 5 and see how it all ends up. Then I'll go thru and read it all again!
It got sooooo good!!!! Love how the relations between all the characters are developing. Some real LOL moments and tear jerkers too!! Can't wait for the next instalment.
I love the fact that with the exception of Zach that each of her mates have kidnapped her in form or fashion which leads into the bigger story or rather the back story. Love how each character is well thought out and fleshed out as well. Each of them have never been put into a situation where they have had to share and they think about how their emotional state will be affected only to realize that their is nothing to be jealous about. Zac get a new nick name from yoga pants to Zac the man but still so many secrets.
Marlowe is ttying his best not to be drawn to her but it is inevitable. I am ecstatic to know that she actually get to meet her bio dad for the first time and I don't think he was just a senile old man as some would believe. Although it did beg to question if someone is attached to a mate and if that mate dies what would happen to their state of mind...She didn't get a chance to spend a lot of time with her dad but I know ahe was grateful for what time she did.

This was a good read. Fast-Burn Reverse Harem with some steamy scenes. I feel like there were times the story went by slower than others but overall a good read. I wish we figured out all her mates sooner than later.
Wow! It's just one thing after another for Wren and her mates. Love how Marlowe reminds me of the Phantom of the Opera except the being a vampire and has fire power. I can't wait for Wren to face her aunt it's going to be epic. Can't wait to meet her last two mates. How exciting!
